Easy to read (unlike Lacan). Confident tone and voice like Lacan's, but honest and humble unlike Lacan's. Great gateway into the author's (and Lacan's) other more complex works.

As an introductory primer to Lacan, this is perfectly passable, but it fails to provide anything novel at the level of interpretation, which in any case is not its goal.
