I can’t stand him … and I can’t keep my hands to myself …
If my father finds out I’m an undercover cop I’m a dead man … and if he finds out I’m gay it won’t be much better. But I’m determined to take him and his corrupt MC down, even if it means working with Coop to do it. He can’t stand me—or any cop—and the feeling should be mutual. Instead he makes me wish for things I can’t have.

I’ve been undercover for so long that I’m beginning to forget who the real me is. It doesn’t matter if being around Coop helps me remember. He might hate cops, but he’s the only one who can see past the mask I wear to survive.

I can’t afford to have a heart, and it doesn’t matter if I lose my soul. I need to take down my father’s club and end his evil for good. Coop can’t be mine when I have nothing to give, and if anyone finds out about us we’re both dead.

So why can’t I let him go?

I think I can go as far as to say that my favourite character so far is Rebel. I felt stressed just thinking about all the plates he had spinning.

The plot was predictable yet again, but I'm not even bothered because I'm enjoying some easy, entertaining reads.

I think what bothered me most about this one was Logan, who never questioned where his brother was or what he was doing. It's not on one person to initiate and maintain a relationship, and I couldn't recall Logan having really made an effort to reach out to Luke. I was also miffed that we didn't get to see Luke and Logan's reunion after everything had resolved - kinda felt cheated with that.

I am intrigued for Maverick's story, and I actually quite like that the last chapter of each book is a lead in for the next in the series. It's not something I usually enjoy in a series, but I'm finding it really works here because there aren't typically loose ends that could be being tied up rather than rolled on to the next book, which is how it usually comes across.

I three starred the first two books in this series due to the relationship development between the characters. The sheer amount of push and pull, repetition and “filler” was disappointing. But there was always something about this series I liked, something that kept me coming back. And I’m so glad I did because this author has upped their game in this one.
As soon as the rest of the world seeped in, that’s when things got complicated. He couldn’t be a cop, and a Viper, and my friend… or anything else. And as long as I was a Hell’s Ankhor enforcer, I couldn’t be his either.
I just flat-out enjoyed this. I’d go so far as to say it’s a near perfect MC romance. The story has evolved, the characters each have been written with a lot of depth, and the relationship building is spot on. These men go from enemies, to forced coworkers, to tentative friends, to so much more, it was all written in the page and it was fantastic. They talk to each other. Tell each other what they’re feeling and thinking. They’re brave and honest and it was a pleasure to read. It was such a welcome contrast from the first two books. Oh...and I forgot to mention the hate-sex was...yeah. *happy sigh* And if you like a bit of action and violence, there’s just enough to keep it exciting and help move the romance along.
I didn’t know if I’d have the strength to tell him the truth of what I wanted from the future. But somehow, I suspected that laying myself bare for him like that would be way less painful than letting him go.
A few small pet-peeves crept in around the dreaded 80% mark but thankfully it was all nipped in the bud quickly. Overall this is the best book of the series. I suppose it could standalone but you’d miss out on a lot of Rebel’s back story, which is important in his overall character arc.
“It’s fine.” My voice was low and quiet, like a secret between us. “I’ve had worse.” “Me too,” Coop said. He tilted his head down to gaze at the wound and his hand on it. He leaned forward. I sucked in an inhale. He was going to kiss me. I wanted it so bad. Bad enough that it scared me, and I knew I should pull away. Yet the moment hung between us. His hand on my belly, my heart in my throat. But he didn’t. He just knocked his nose into my temple, an affectionate nudge. “Just‘cause you’ve had worse doesn’t mean it still doesn’t suck.”
Honestly, I loved these two together. I could have kept reading about them.

Rebel, as an undercover police officer, is in the center of a hurricane, his life is a mess. He wants to bring The Viper’s, his father’s mc down and has to work with mc Hell’s Ankhor to help him.
Hell’s Ankhor member Coop hates cops and despises Rebel, he doesn’t trust him. Still, he has to work with him.
Rebel’s father is a lowlife, abusive af, a criminal who already got rid of Logan, Rebel’s younger brother. Luckily Logan found shelter at Hell’s Ankhor mc.
Rebel feels ashamed not been able to keep Logan safe without giving his undercover position up.
He’s working on a big case, to bring the mc down, dismantle the human trafficking and finally be free of all the abuse from his father.
He cannot afford any relationship, certainly not with the strong sexy force named Coop.

I enjoyed this story with Rebel and Coop. Both had a miserable life and both are hardheaded.
There is a lot of violence to witness, especially from the Viper mc. The rough manhandling strong big-mouthed language between Coop and Rebel. The softer moments felt almost out of place. Rebel was so hard on himself it was painful to watch, I found it even a bit too dramatic, but oh gosh with emotional parts I was so happy with ‘too much’, also the action was all well done.

The cover expresses exactly what you get! And some more!

How this has become my favourite in the series so far when I could NOT stand Coop in the beginning still remains a mystery. Lol!\

For real though, I wanted to knock some maturity/sense of reality into Coop and felt sorry for Rebel being stuck with his immaturity but turns out Coop can be self aware all on its own.

I enjoyed the growth of the bond between these two men from enemies, to tentative friends and finally to lovers. I enjoyed every step of the way.

The only reason I didn't give this a 5-star rating was because nothing was mentioned about Rebel and Logans relationship at the end or what's been done to repair it. Granted, I know it will probably be mentioned in the subsequent books in the series but I just needed at least some closure on that side.

Nonetheless, this is certainly a fave and I'll be moving right on to Mav's book next!

Rebel's been undercover for so long he's starting to wonder if there's any of his real identity left. He wants to take down his corrupt father's MC, the Vipers, and he's devoted 10 long years of his life to doing so. But now the time has come for it all to come together, he can't let a little thing like his feelings for Coop, the man he's fallen for, to distract him from his mission. Will Coop stand by him, wait for him to complete his mission? Or will Rebel's utter focus on his mission, without much regard to his own life be too much for Coop and the love Coop feels for him?

This is definitely my favorite so far in the Hell's Ankhor MC series. Coop and Rebel go from sorta enemies to something to definitely lovers, and their journey felt real, was fraught with tension and chemistry and feels. I love how they fell for each other, how much they didn't want to fall, but couldn't help themselves, and I love that they got each other, understood each other. This series is such a great one, with so many amazing characters - can't wait for the next couple to find love!

I don't know what it is about this series, but I just really like these books. They always hook me in and I end up reading them very fast. I'm super excited that the next book is coming out really soon and I will probably continue to keep up with the series.

This book followed Rebel, the brother of Logan from book one, and Coop, one the enforcers we've seen in other books. I liked the dynamic of this relationship partly because it's a little different from past book. Though I wouldn't describe any of the previous books as having a taboo romance, I believe there was an age gap in both and though both parties would have hard lives, one suffered more abuse than the other. In this book, both Rebel and Coop have suffered in the past. They are on a much more even playing field in terms of their experiences and I think that separated this book from the others and kept the series interesting in terms of the romance.

I thought the plot of this book was good. I think this is a romance series that I would really recommend reading in order because the story builds and escalates really well in my opinion but I also think they really do a good job making every story self-contained and easy to understand even if you haven't read the other books. This is the type of plot I tend to really enjoy in a romance which I think is why these books really work for me.

Once again, the teaser chapter left me super excited to read the next book. I've really liked Maverick as a character in this series so I'm very excited to see more from him and have a love interest that may expand the book universe a bit too.

While I liked this installment in the Hell’s Ankhor series, it felt a bit long to me and parts of the book were a bit tedious. Ultimately, what disappointed me the most was a lack of true reconciliation between Rebel and his brother Logan. I wanted a scene where they hashed out everything that happened with their father and I didn’t get it. Still, I did enjoy the book for the most part but I just wish the author would have spent less time on things that didn’t interest me and more time on things that did.

What a ride! This is definitely a big step up from the second book and I'm so pleased about that!
This has everything I wished for in "Gunnar": There is steady relationship progress, a decent suspense arc, depth to the characters and good reasons for their actions, and some pages just about sizzle with sexual tension.
There might be a few recurring thoughts and doubts and some small hiccups like having a private phone conversation confessing feelings while wearing a wire so all the unloved police buddies are listening in, but I feel like a nag just typing this out. I really enjoyed this and am absolutely interested in reading a book about Maverick next!

4.5 stars Okay I absolutely love this series. Every book is brilliantly written and includes never a dull moment. Full of drama, action and danger this book with Rebel and Coop was the same. This has some great moments as well as sad ones for them both.
Includes undercover mission, dislikes to cops, danger, brothers reconnecting and sexy scenes and much more. This had me right from the start to the ending as scenes played out. All characters make and add to the story which i enjoyed reading. Written with both POVs.
Rebel 30 yrs was in the Vipers Nest MC and having meetings with Hells Ankhor having to hide his cover accept for one person. Coop knew who he was.. Rebel had a mission he didn't need feelings to complicate things oops lol.

I loveddd this oneee. omg this was good. Rebel has my heart and till the very end I hated Coop. cause he was so mean like go girl leave. after knowing his backstory I was like okay let that sink in. Even though it was not on page and not that detailed it was still graphic and oh my God I had to sit down and rethink my whole life. I was shaken.

One thing that I have to say is it's okay to sometimes not make them versatile. I don't think this couple would be classified as a versatile couple in theory. but they did switch once. It was so unnecessary. because Rebel was so bottom. like every time he fantasized about Coop, he always thought of himself as the receiving end. but whatever. this book is still a five star though but I just wanted to say it.

I was looking to Rebel’s story ever since I started this series!

I knew he was hiding a lot of things, and I knew he suffered a lot, for his mother, his brother and himself. He did the only thing he knew would help him bring his father’s club down. He became an officer of the law.

Coop does not trust him at all. Coop thinks he has his own hidden agenda aside from telling them he wants to bring the club and end the trafficking business once and for all.

Enemies to lovers with a lot of obstacles in between, I love it! I love Rebel, my heart aches for what he went through, for having a father like Crave, for having spent several years of his life in order to bring them all down. This is one of the series I truly look forward to. I can’t wait for the next one!

Needless to say this story kept me engaged and entertained!!

I think I actually liked this book the best so far in the series! Rebel and Coop not only had a great, if turbulent, relationship, but they both struggled so hard during their lives. Both of these MCs have had hard lives, and seeing them overcome their present obstacles in order to have a future together was so absorbing to read!

Having met Rebel in book 1, we've been given glimpses of his role and background. Finally being able to read his story was so satisfying! His hardships were heartbreaking, and he was so dedicated to his job and the justice he wanted to bring that you can't help but root for him and Coop. I do wish some more time would have been given at the end for Rebel and Logan to reconcile a bit now that Logan has a better understanding of his brother's motivations.

And honestly, I wasn't too excited about Mav's book up next until I read the little teaser at the end of this book and OMG I need it now!!!

This one took me a while to finish and i think it's because when i reached the last chapters i kinda disconnected with the characters and started reading something else. But it's still a lovely book with its tortured characters that deserved their happy ending. Loved Rebel, he was a sweetheart and i felt so bad for him - i'm glad he found hapiness. Really enjoyed.

I’m usually a sucker for enemies to lovers but I just couldn’t get behind the two of them. Like they really, really hated each other and I was worried this book was going to end in one of them dead and then their feels changed so fast I felt like I had whiplash. The background plot was engaging and helped me through the story though.

Coop y Rebel no encajan.

Book 3: Coop and Luke AKA Rebel

Contains: motorcycle club members, help from rival clan, undercover cop, shitty father, bad childhood, mention of child abuse, violence.

Omg this series gives me a whole range of emotions. I love it. It tore my heart out to see my characters' hearts break and get caught up in the turmoil of resentment and rejection.

And once again, the ending leaves us wanting more. A new plot, a new direction that seems strange in the middle of a biker gang... can't wait to find out more.

I took one star off because at times it was long, I was wondering when the action, planning and execution of a good plan would happen. When is the end of the slow burn and the burning feelings finally let go.

**May contains spoilers** b>

In this one, we discover the despair of Coop who has to deal with a policeman who he has so much hatred towards them. He finds himself in a spiral of emotions where he feels that his chosen family is abandoning him by not being on his side. He feel like they have betrayed him

Rebel is used to being seen as a nobody.
Not bad enough to be a villain, too mean to be a boyfriend, not present enough to be a brother and not out enough to be in a relationship... he is in an emotional spiral close to total burn out.

Can the two of them bring Rival's investigation to an end? Can they recover from the past and enjoy the present? Can they ever hope for a future?

This is a gripping, intense and romantic story. Rebel is an undercover cop in his father's MC, he's been gathering evidence against them for 10 years and he's finally almost done. Coop is an enforcer from a rival MC who has to work with Rebel to set up the take down. Coop has 3, reasons to hate Rebel. First that he's a Viper, second that he's a cop and third is the way Rebel treated his brother Logan, who is in his MC. Whenever they're near each other they stare at each other, because both can feel the attraction. When Rebel is sent to inform Coop about his job, Coop slams him against his bedroom door and they have sex. After Coop is caught spying by the Viper's clubhouse, Rebel is forced to claim that Coop deserted his MC to join forces with the Viper's, and they get a little frisky while they're stuck in Rebel's bedroom. When things go sideways during a drug trafficking meeting, they need to lay low, in a motel room, and things get hot and heavy. They're both nice guys with big hearts, sad pasts and trust issues. They both go through heartbreak to find love.

My rating for this would be 4.50.

I read this book first in the series because that's what I do, and the story at first glance has a lot of things that I like in mc series: good plot, enough violence to go with it, two alpha males, love and steam. BUT, there was something missing to make me remember this later.

I would say it's the pace and some occurrences didn't really made sense, like Coop being scouting on the enemy's side and getting caught because he couldn't stop thinking about certain sexual encounter with Rebel. Son, if u are an MC, in a biker gang, u need to be focused and razor sharp, it was a rookie mistake and didn't sit well with me.

Like that one, there were other details that just didn't click for me, and I thought that rebel sacrificing himself and being abused could be more explored than it was to give him real good redemption.

Don't get me wrong, is a good read, but it could have been perfect, and didn't reach there for me.

Go Rebel and Coop!

Each book in the Hell’s Ankhor series has been amazing and this latest book was no exception. I’ve been looking forward to reading Rebel’s story but did it meet my expectations? Hell yeah!

Rebel wore many different faces but which one was the real Rebel?

Rebel had many hidden layers and when Coop peeled back those layers, he saw the person hiding behind the mask. These two guys were broken by life and abuse yet together they become each other’s strength. These two were beautiful together. Their chemistry sizzled and burned but it was those precious intimate moments that followed that truly made their love shine.

Fantastic book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth the wait.

FANTASTIC STORY TOTALLY HOOKED 10/10
Rebel had never had an easy life. He grew up with a father that was a drunk and beat his mother, brother and himself whenever he choose. Rebel tried to protect his brother Logan until he couldnt anymore. Rebel joined his father Crave in his MC The Vipers Nest in the hopes to take the heat off logan but one night he was given some good advice and he decided to join the police without his fathers knowledge and then he set to work undercover to take the MC and his father down! And if his father finds out he is an undercover cop then he is a dead man. Son or no Son but in his fathers eyes that wasn't his worse crime. If ever his father found out that Rebel was gay he would die a slow painful death. So many reasons to hate his father they kept him on tract to destroy him. That was until he spent time with Coop.
Coop was from another MC Hells Ankhors and was the enforcer. It was obvious from the first meeting he didnt like Rebel, he knew what he was and didnt trust him one inch. Blade the Pres of the Hells Ankhors was also the man that Logan trusts and loves. He runs his MC like a family and Rebel wasn't used to it. It was so different to His fathers MC.
Coop and Rebel had to work together to take down the Vipers nest but that didnt mean that Coop liked it!
This is a fantastic storyline. I loved the banter, the passion the emotions I went through whilst reading their tale. I felt such anger towards the fathers in this tale. They deserved everything they got. And the twist and turns just kept me hooked but not as much at their love story. A real story of enemy to lovers. It was electric and explosive. But the emotions whilst they open too each other and learn to trust.
Simply an amazing read I'm super excited to read the next book in the series I could just start this book All over again its just that good!!!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I fell in love with this series from book one and that love affair continued with the second book. I almost didn't read this first book, as I thought MC club books were not something I would enjoy. Boy was I wrong. I rooted for the Hell's Ankhor MC club to take down the Vipers club and their evil, evil leader Bane. In the first book, I was a bit puzzled by the behavior of Logan's brother Rebel, but assumed he just had some vestige of family feeling left that his father Bane did not. The major twist at the end of the second book, Gunnar, when it was revealed that Rebel was actually an undercover cop came as a total surprise to me and explained his behavior in book one. I have been dying to read his story since that revelation and this volume did not disappoint. This is a variation on the enemies to lovers story as Rebel and Coop are forced to work together to bring down the Vipers and Coop certainly has no love for cops. What he does discover, however, is a deep love for one particular undercover cop. Watching Coop and Rebel's relationship develop amidst all the chaos around them was just lovely. Underneath all the layers of bluster, these two are really just marshmallows inside with each other. The outside world, however, will require every ounce of strength and tougness they possess just to survive, much less defeat the Vipers. It suddenly occurred to me at the end of this book that this series has been all about proving that love and trust are stronger than the evil that is out there and that those who are able to give and receive that love are the ones who will win. We get our win and our happy ever after here but there is still a shadow out there lurking and waiting to do some damage to the Hell's Ankhor club in the next volume. I can't wait until we get that in May!

I never want this series to end; I just want Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda to keep making up names and writing more books for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever!!!!

As I've said in previous reviews (I've read a lot of these books!) AB and AL have created a motor cycle club who have expanded to find their own personalities, people and lives outside the club and along the way they have brought together a library of hot, sexy, deeply tortured souls who want to love and be loved and loved they definitely are! I love that there's a message about an issue be it domestic abuse, substance abuse, alcohol abuse, hate crime; it's there in the text saying it's not ok and it should be dealt with and there's always someone to support you. But it's not just that. The quality of the writing brings you the smell of the engine oil, the roar of the bikes, the slam of the door, the crack of the wood as the hatchet slams into the bark, you can smell the whiskey and beer in the bar, you hear the click of the lube lid!

But I digress... Rebel has been in hiding all his life! He's used to hiding in plain sight but when Coop 'sees' him immediately he is through for a loop! He's not a member of the Hell's Ankhor club but he is Logan's brother and so much more and he needs the club's help. Coop is assigned his point of contact but is not happy about that though and their initially angry encounters change and grow through the shared experiences.

I loved this book; it's beautiful to read with depth and emotion. It is definitely aimed at adult readers with adult content! Scenes between the sheets, against the walls, in the kitchen, or wherever are hot and sexy and between men! If you don't like that don't read these books!!!

I'm totally recommending this book to you xx
