A BEAUTY FOR A SCARRED DUKE: ⭐⭐⭐
I usually am not a fan of a lot of internal dialogue and angst. This book had plenty of it. However, the internal dialogue was seemed important to the author so one could fully understand the characters. Although at times it dragged overall it was not so awful. There were moments of insecurity, shame, guilt, grief, anger, misunderstandings and honest reflection. It was too people trying to get to know each other under extremely strange and distraught circumstances. I loved the concept of this story. I just would have left out a lot of the inner dialogue and added more substance to the story. I feel there is room for improvement.
A COURTSHIP TO REMEMBER: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Even though this is a quick read I gave it five stars because it really satisfied everything I could want in a sweet romance. Just enough drama, just enough emotional turmoil, just enough insecurity, just enough pain and regret, just enough of self-awareness. Although the main characters Elizabeth and Anthony met and agreed to a sham courtship, I loved how they were always their true selves. As the courtship continued and they got to know each other better their friendship blossomed. Anyone with eyes could see how compatible they were. Slowly Anthony started to recognize the difference between his "true love" and Elizabeth. There was no comparison. It is also interesting that in the beginning all Elizabeth wanted was to pursue her music career without marriage that she felt was a hindrance. So, the plan was Anthony to win back his first love Diana and Elizabeth to be courted to stave off others so she could concentrate on her own plans. No one ever expected them to fall in love. When Diana returned to Anthony's life it caused unfortunate changes between him and Elizabeth. But in the end, I admired how Anthony dealt the blow to Diana that he no longer loved her but loved another. BAM!!! It was great and quite satisfying. The extended epilogue gave me great delight to read. It just ten years and chronicles Elizabeth's, her sister's and their parent's loving relationships and children. It was wonderful to read. I highly recommend this. It has all the good feels of a sweet and loving book.

I really was amazed at the poignant subject matter between the H and h. The author Bridget Barton has infused compassion, family loyalty and love into a subject that is relevant today as it was back then. The h Charlotte was dealing with the onset of a chronic condition that was given a dire diagnosis. The story describes how she felt, how she dealt with it, how her siblings were supportive and protective of her. Charlotte has an inner strength that was now coming to the surface. She decided to live each day to the fullest and look forward to a life of a spinster. She decided never to wed because of her affliction as she did not want to be a burden to a spouse. But fate had other plans. Charlotte met Sebastian when they collided into each other while shopping. Sebastian could not forget the lovely Charlotte. At every turn when they would run into each other any outsider could see the growing affection between them. Charlotte keeps denying her desires to be with Sebastian because of her affliction but he is relentless in his pursuit of her. But in the wings, someone was watching and felt threatened by Charlotte for Sebastian's hand in marriage. Who knew how far this person would go to destroy their relationship? An excellent read. Very moving. I do recommend it.

The 3 stories are good
I liked all 3 stories. Isabella's progression as a character in her circumstances was believable and Elliot made for a complex ML. And everyone needs someone like Esme in their lives, so full of wisdom and compassion! My favorite for sure! for the second book, I enjoyed Elizabeth's turnaround about her life choices, and if you like overly attentive ML, Anthony is for you! Last, but not least, Charlotte and Sebastian were also a very likeable couple. The 3 Lords are indeed to be enamored with :)

Isabella Tate💃, daughter of the Earl of Upperton, is devastated when he marries her👰 off to a man she has never met, never even seen!
Her father 👹is only interested in what her new husband🐺 can do for him! He is actually only interested in his daughter's welfare as it pertains to 💰money. He has the title of Earl, but his fortunes have been slipping away.
Isabella's👰 new husband is a wealthy recluse, Elliot Covington🐺🍆🌋💔, the Duke of Coldwell. He's of higher society than her Earl father👹 and thus her father is desirous of the Duke's money and stature. Isabella's father is a money grubbing conniving a$$.
Elliot🐺🍆🌋💔 has been a recluse for many years, after a 🔥fire in the family mansion killed the rest of his family and burned🔥 him very badly on one side of his face. He blames himself for not saving his family, he has survivors guilt. And now he is a scarred monster👹, or so the gossips say.
Elliott🐺🍆🌋 actually pays Isabella's father for her hand👰 in marriage! Isabella👰 faints dead away when she finally meets her betrothed at the altar! He is tall, ripped, and devastatingly handsome with glorious green eyes, until he turns, and she sees the devastation on the other side of his face.
Being the young girl that she is, and forced into marriage👰 she had no say in, preys on her mind for a few days. But Elliot🐺🍆🌋 is so kind to her and her loneliness in the huge estate finally gets to her. She begins to crave their hours in the evenings where they just sit and talk to each other and learn about each other.
The characters in the book seem to have a problem saying what they mean, and meaning what they say. They talk around each other at almost every opportunity. Some of the evading conversations almost brought me to tears. So sad..... Why did the characters waste time with trying to avoid each other and the truth? Elliott seems stuck in his guilt forever.
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
The real monster👹 in this book is The Earl of Upperton, Isabella's father. Much of the book is melancholy and sad, it's a tale of two broken people trying to find some common ground, some hope, some true love, a way to face the future together. This is strictly a historical romance, there are no xxx scenes.

I loved most of this book, but some of the scenes drug on way too long! Quantity doesn't equal quality!
How many times should an author go over and over a character's illness or shortcomings before it gets unbearably repetitive!? The reader knows what they are if they have any memory retention at all.
This is a great story about true love finding a way and how lies and backstabbing catches up to people in the end.
Parts of the book were extremely emotional to me, and brought 😢tears to my eyes......Aaaah.

I found this a really good book. All 3 books in this box set are well written

Elliot and Isabella have both suffered in life. Elliot by the loss of all his family and the scarring he suffered at that time. Isabella by the cruel and indifference of her family. Can they overcome the difficulties of the day of their marriage.
A Courtship to Remember
Elizabeth and Anthony are both great characters. Elizabeth loves her music but doesn't wish to marry as she would prefer to be a composer. Anthony is utterly humiliated by his first love after he proposes to her and she refuses. He comes up with a plan to get her to return to him with the courtship of Elizabeth but what he doesn't expect is to lose his heart to Elizabeth instead. A really good read about the courtship rituals in recency england.

Are you are looking for clean, sweet and just plain excellent?
What a lovely few weeks I have had some of my favorite authors have new books for me to devour and trust me I did. This collection of charmers was such fun to read. They all have awesome characters and well-written plots just the right amount of challenges and grand romance. For three nights I got to bed rather late because I could not put the stories down I was reading. If you are looking for clean, sweet, and just plain excellent work then. I highly recommend this collection.

I have read each of these books as they were released. I have àlso written a review for each book individually on Goodreads. This is an excellent buy with three very detailed and riveting stories that are guaranteed to give the reader numerous hours of reading pleasure. As with all of her books, this author writes very clean and sweet romance that is appropriate for readers of most any age. I do recommend this set.

A damaged Duke, a fake courtship turning real and an ugly duckling’s rise. What these stories have in common is that, in the hands of a master like Bridget Barton, they form the perfect basis for a fantastic collection of historical Regency Period romances. I totally enjoyed Lords to Be Enamored With, and I’m confident that anyone who enjoys this genre will feel the same. I highly recommend the collection boxset.

Three tremendously gripping reads. Each of the stories features a damsel “in distress“ but she also has a steel reserve and will of iron. The stories are classic Bridget Barton and each has its own HEA.

Hard to Find--Don't Bother
When books come in a set of 3, they usually run the gambit of readability. Not these 3; they are all completely insipid! They display bad characterization, plot, writing, even grammar; they STINK! Yes, I must have some masochistic tendencies (hitherfore unknown) to have read them all, but I kept hoping for.....ah, well.

Loved book 1. Loved the tortured hero. Heroine grows on you. Heartfelt, emotional read.
Book 2. 20% in and still have not been introduced to the hero. All we get is our heroine blathering on about how great her piano talent is. I gave up.
Book 3. Great hero. He learned to stand on his own feet. Heroine learned to be strong.

This three book collection is very good.
The first book, A Beauty for a Scarred Duke was a more slow read at the beginning, but picked up my interest more midway through. A classic beauty and the beast tale.
The second and third books were much better. I liked the story lines better on those two. I would recommend this set to read!

Historical Romance
3 wonderful books! I thoroughly enjoyed reading these! My favorite character was Charlotte...the depth of relationship with her siblings, her heart, and her love for her family touched me. Definitely recommend this box set.

Enjoyable
4 out of 5 due to some wording that didn't make sense - such as gold digger - when it wasn't around at the time and a few grammatical and spelling errors. But really good and totally enjoyable.

Hate extended ending!!!
These stories were all good. Cleanly written with great characters. Sometimes frustrating because of pride. The really negative is the extended endings. A sneaky way to get your email. Will not read this author again.

Must read boxset
If you are a Recency addict like me you have to read this box set and the extended epilogues!! As for me I was never fond of epilogues but these are some of the best. I have found another Regency author!! Yay!!

None of us are perfect, and this book reminds me that we need to look for the beauty within. Bridget's characters are believable, and the storyline is, as well. I'll read this book more than once!

Three well written books about finding love and overcoming circumstances well written and deftly handled i especially liked the way the third book dealt with depression in a time when she more likely to be placed in a sanitarium or hidden out of the way somewhere
