A virtual island where death means the end. One thousand people forced to compete. One man who must unravel the truth of his past to survive.
We were never taught how to survive in the wild when we were children. The same was true for Cameron Jamison, but a string of devastating events led him to the Bloodgames. From the moment Cameron drops onto the island, he must fight, kill, and grow in power if he wants to go home.
Too bad nine hundred ninety-nine others need to reach the same goal. Cameron needs to learn what it takes to overcome the deadly obstacles laid before him. Can he master the skills required for him to become the Bloodgames ultimate player and withstand the painful memories of his past?
Sometimes forgiving yourself can be the hardest thing to do. But for Cameron, it's a decision that will determine whether he lives… or dies.

I just don’t understand all of the five star reviews.
Mistakes: I didn’t find any and this accounts for both stars.
Plot: All of the governments in the world have agreed to a game that pits people against each other. (People being people this isn’t likely.) It’s a bloody kill to survive game with levels and crafting and more. For some reason, even though everyone is in the game willingly they all have amnesia.
Characters: I would have shot the Mc early on. First he is crying over having to kill and disgusted with looting bodies. Hours later he is laughing as he runs people down with a truck.
I personally didn’t like this book. While it is well written and has some good ideas, I think it’s poorly put together. I found the human interaction so unbelievable that I couldn’t slip into the story.
I'm not a fan of these Battle Royale games, nor of the few books that follow this genre that have come out. The story always seems rushed and the characters almost always end up being two dimensional.
I'm glad to say that not only was this not the case with this book but the story was very entertaining and enjoyable. There were a couple of minor railroad sections towards the end, but not enough to go detract from the overall feel of the story.
My son thought the setup sounded a lot like Fortnite - 1000 people dropped into a virtual world and told to fight until there are ten. There are some nuances - like the characters have no idea who they are or why they are here. And more is revealed during the course of the story. There is an underlying end-of-the-world theme going on as well - I assume more is revealed in later installments of this story.
The writing style felt noticeably different from the author’s previous trilogy. The prose didn’t seem to flow as nicely to my eyes.
Excellent mix of litrpg with leveling, crafting, building, and fighting. Here PvP is the primary action in intense battles whose goal is the elimination of the majority of the players.
Storyline has a lot of options going forward so look for this to develop into a long running series.
Highly recommended for those who enjoy this genre, esp PvP action.
I like adventures where there is a sense of danger. At least it wasn't a there can be only one thing. Decent leveling, classes, and skills (fairly simple set) with a buy anything marketplace. A lot of stuff crammed in here. Some minimal crafting. I'm curious where it goes from here. Probably the most disturbing bit were some memory scenes. I enjoyed the read. Score: 7.9 out of 10
I was not sure what I was expecting when I heard of a battle royale LITrpg book but these was awesome. Combines elements of some of the best battle royales loved every minute
This book was a fun read and while the ending was a bit confusing it really feels like it was meant to be that way as things will become more clear in later books. I’m looking forward to reading more!
This book takes all the tension and thrills of a battle royale and combines it with a cast of characters who draw you into their traumatic pasts. You feel their struggle between virtues and survival in this well written first book of the series
