Winston Churchill told us that "we get the government we deserve." (Ugh!) Don't we deserve better governance and shouldn't opportunity equality be the ultimate goal of public policy? Capitalism has been mismanaged, which has people looking towards alternative, entitlement-based models. Yes, free stuff is seductive; but it’s not so much free as it is stuff paid for by others. It is Capitalism that motivates the production of all that stuff in the first place and is necessary. It’s time to challenge today’s thinking and the mismanagement so we can have a better tomorrow.
