Meiling -- All I’ve ever known was pain. My life has been far from a fairytale. No parents. No friends. Just an endless nightmare that I can’t wake from. Until the day a man offered me his hand and promised to keep me safe. I’ve never trusted anyone before, but there’s something about him. Maybe it’s insane, but I know he won’t hurt me, and when he puts his arms around me, for the first time in my life I feel loved.

Dingo -- I’ve always had a soft spot for women and kids in trouble. One look at Meiling, and I knew I had to protect her at any cost. The beautiful girl with the wounded soul. After all she’s suffered, all I want is to make her smile, make her feel secure, and give her a chance to find happiness. But first, I need to take out the men and women responsible for hurting her. It might get ugly, and messy, but they don’t call me Dingo for nothing. I’m a crazy bastard and I won’t stop until she’s safe. I just didn’t count on falling for her along the way.

Harley Wylde is the International Bestselling Author of the Dixie Reapers MC, Devil's Boneyard MC, and Hades Abyss MC series.

When Harley's writing, her motto is the hotter the better -- off the charts sex, commanding men, and the women who can't deny them. If you want men who talk dirty, are sexy as hell, and take what they want, then you've come to the right place. She doesn't shy away from the dangers and nastiness in the world, bringing those realities to the pages of her books, but always gives her characters a happily-ever-after and makes sure the bad guys get what they deserve.

The times Harley isn't writing, she's thinking up naughty things to do to her husband, drinking copious amounts of Starbucks, and reading. She loves to read and devours a book a day, sometimes more. She's also fond of TV shows and movies from the 1980's, as well as paranormal shows from the 1990's to today, even though she'd much rather be reading or writing.

Harley Wylde Devils Fury MC bk 01 Dingo

Unity and Family

This is over-the-top, instalove told in a dark setting. I really like this book, even though it hits some of my personal triggers. There is A LOT packed into this novella, including the introduction to this new series that crosses over with several of Harley's other series.

Meiling "Mei" Shan Young has had it ROUGH. As in you-seriously-need-to-consider-your-triggers-when-you-read-this rough. The details of her abuse as a child and barely adult aren't specified, but those shared are stomach turning.

Jameson "Dingo" Withers is a protective alpha who asserts himself quite handsomely into Mei's life. (Translation: forcefully but in a good way.) He doesn't always see rain, but it's obvious that he quickly develops a soft spot for her.

"Did my wife sleep well?" Yeah, this would be a fun conversation.
-- Dingo, the newly minted husband to his "wife" who had fallen asleep as only a guest in his home. Oops.

Even with all the darkness and seriously messed-uppedness (it's a word now; you're welcome), there are some really sweet and bright spots. They don't overshadow the darkness, but they do bring hope and light to everything.

One of those bright spots is found and blood family. The reunification of one family, and the creation of several others is quite something. I look forward to seeing how that all plays out as we go along.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Umi Markkanen. She's the go-to narrator for this author, and she continues to deliver a worthy listen.

Where to begin? Oh my goodness!! What a story! Wow! Ugh! Wow---some more, and Ugh some more! This isn't like the previous Harley MC books. Sure, there were dark parts in other biker stories; but nothing quite like this story.

Jordan, Havoc's old lady, has an older brother Jameson who is now a patched member of Devil's Fury. His patch name is Dingo and we're finally getting his story after all these years (or whatever in biker years). Anyways, we're introduced to Meiling (or "Mei" as she likes to be called) after the Prospect Beau finds her again at the Ruby Slipper. To say that Mei's life has been difficult and brutal, is a complete understatement. Heartbreaking and disgusted doesn't even come close to explaining what she's been through---Beau too. Beau and Mei were in the foster care system at the same time and unfortunately, shared the same foster "parents" (yes, we're using that word extremely loosely here).

Dingo, our hero, "claims" Meiling after he was "encouraged" (okay, they volunteered him) to make Mei his old lady. The emotional rollercoaster that both of these characters endure because of Meiling's experience is gut wrenching. The reader will go through the process with both of them. Also, we'll get to see some favorites from Badger's book. You'll be introduced to the rest of Devil's Fury. Like the Dixie Reapers and Devil's Boneyard, there's more to these bikers than meets the eye.

If you're easily triggered, this book might not be for you. However, you were warned before purchasing and opening the book. There are uncomfortable topics that are dealt with in this book, but don't think for a second it's not occurring in the real world. Unfortunately, there are many Meiling and Beau's in the world going through the same suffering and worse. Fantastic read! I can't recommend it enough to readers, but you've been warned.

I received an ARC to review and leave my honest opinion about the book. I enjoyed this book so much that I also intend to purchase it when released.

This is certainly not the first HW book I have read or reviewed so let me start by saying that this was an intense book to read. I know it is fiction but I also know this is happening in out world today sadly. Mei had more strength than she realized even though she had accepted her fate as her way of life and the only life she would have. Enter Dingo who really wanted to do right by her. I love how all the other HW MC books intertwine. I like getting to see old favorites!! So why a three star instead of a five star??????
Simple I don't know who edits or proofs these books but they suck at it!!! I have put this in other HW reviews but I can't figure HW or her proofers are allergic to apostrophes or is there an extra charge for them or something. When I see hell and the sentence doesn't make a lick of sense and I realize it should have been he'll not hell then it stops the flow of a book to me. I keep harping on this in my reviews because the plots are always good but poor punctuation takes away from it and drops the rating in my book. It also makes me wonder if HW even reads the reviews or someone else does and doesn't show HW any less that four or five stars.....for me this is enough to drop a rating two stars!!!!!!

Good bones but..

This story touched on sensitive issues which are growing every year. Unfortunately they were a few holes in the book in my opinion. For instance, it wasn’t transparent how both Meiling and her mother fell prey of this trafficking ring. I lot was done by the hackers but I would have liked to know exactly who the culprits were and what was done to take them down. The story stayed too generic. I didn’t like the insta sexual relationship between Dingo and Mei for various reasons. First of all, she needed therapy, contrary to this ridiculous cliché comment about therapy as seen on TV being frustrating. After being abused and taken away from her parents she clearly isn’t whole. Second of all, unprotected sex at this stage was foolish. Adopting even more so. She needed time to heal before any of that. I understand why he was upset with Beau, but Beau was also a victim. He was a kid himself at the time and I guess he just wanted to survive and forget his past. It was selfish, yes but understandable. And let’s not forget that he went for her at that “club” as soon as they reconnected and ask for help for her. I would love to know more about her mother. The idea that she was training people was abhorrent.

Before I even start my review I want to say that this is a heart breaking story about Meiling. What she suffered and how she was treated will tear at your heart. It is darker than the other stories. So be fair warned. This one isn’t for everyone. That being said, here is my review.

Meiling had a really hard life. I will not go into detail. Just saying that, she has a friend from the past, Beau that is a prospect of Devil’s Fury. He isn’t about to let her live that horrible life. Dingo spots Mei and knew that he had to protect her. Mei didn’t know what to make of Dingo but when he was around, she felt safe. Mei past will tear you up. What a horrible life of abuse. And Dingo was the right man for her. He saw Mei not as a whore, like she called herself but as a woman needing comfort, protection, and to be loved. This WILL make you cry. You find out about Beau’s past too. It was a sad and brutal life. Thank goodness for the Devil’s Fury. Let’s face it, all the guys from this MC group and brothers’, have a big heart. We also find out about Mei’s parents. Blades was an original of the Devil’s Fury and we might get his story or a short one in the future.

Quality MC Read

I don't usually write reviews but the quality of the recent MC books made me want to leave one for this Author. The MC was painted in a realistic picture of what an MC should be. Somewhat criminal, rough, gruff, men. I don't want want to read a mushy love story when I pick up an MC book. Wylde Delivered a good story that was both believable and enjoyable that I did not want to put down from beginning to end. The Men characters were believable and the supporting characters that were introduced you could tell we're going to have their own stories in the future. I don't usually purchase books As I have my kindle unlimited subscription but this book sparked my interest and I am glad that I added it to my collection . I will be purchasing the rest of the series and most likely more of wylde`s books in the near future. Many authors in this genre tend to portray An MC As nice guys. This author was realistic and portrayed the men as the rough, possessive, masculine type that is expected in real MC life. Thank you Wylde.

Dingo and Meiling

This is the first book in the Devils fury set and can be read as a stand-alone.
This book could potentially trigger some as it delves into the world of trafficking and child abuse, it is a very emotional book as you cry when it’s exposed that ppl who were meant to protect the most vulnerable didn’t, it makes you feel angry because as the author explains at the end that unfortunately this probably does happen in life.
Dingo meets meiling when she comes to the club for help, there is a bit of confusion when she sees someone from
her foster home days a prospect named Beau, when everything comes out will Dingo has to ask his brothers in the club for help and the other clubs he has friends in too.
The ending started with the possible opening for the next book, am still unsure of how some of the logistics worked but it’s a story so I’ll give it some creative licence. I’m sure it’s not hard for them to make/buy beds

Dingo is book one in the Devils fury MC series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Meiling is living a nightmare. She has no friends, no family and no support system. She is living a life she hates under a man she hates even more. Dingo has a soft spot for women and children in need. When he meets Meiling, he is determined to help her.
The chemistry between Meiling and Dingo is clear to see and I loved them as a couple. I loved how patient and protective Dingo was of Mei.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series and more books from Harley Wylde.
I would give this story a trigger due to subject of sexual abuse, child abuse and prostitution.

Might be the best book yet!
Harley Wylde makes you feel the hero and heroine's emotions in every book. The subject matter in this book is something that happens in our country and around the world. I remember meeting Dingo in Havoc and Jordan's book but him meeting Meiling and wanting to keep her safe and protected melted my heart. When one of our favorite author's touches on these subjects it reminds us that not everyone lives a charmed life and bad things happen to good people. If haven't read Harley Wylde pick up Venom today and come on this journey with us of the Dixie Reapers, Devil's Boneyard, Haydes Abyss & Devil's Fury where the heros are total badass alphas and the heroines are brave, strong-willed and basass each in their own way.

Woah! Sexually abused girl, falls in love and has sex the same day she’s rescued!!!

Wow! I don’t know where to start with this one. It was so bad!

Mei was in foster care, where at age 14 was sexually abused. She’s sold to a brothel at 18 where she is forced to have sex otherwise she’s beaten and raped. When she is rescued by her foster brother Beau, I thought they would help her, get her counselling as she obviously has ptsd. Noooo!! Dingo takes her to his house and tells her he will look after her, and doesn’t expect anything. When she offers herself to him, (As that’s all she understands.) they have sex over and over, and SHE LOVES IT!!! 🤮😡

She latched onto Dingo in a really unhealthy way. She’s never known love, or a family, or a proper relationship and he takes advantage of that! It’s so disturbing!

Even taking all that aside, the plot is ridiculous!! Hackers that get her dad out of prison, and put other people in, characters that appear who I have no clue who they are. High ranking people in the peodophile ring are tortured to death and it’s just covered up!! And of course when the feds get involved they don’t need to question anyone or have any court cases!!!

When I first started reading this book, I seriously thought it was going to-be a good book. Then it just made a mockery out of the trauma Mei had suffered!! Awful, just awful!!!

I LOVED IT!
I was consumed by this book from the first page. The content is very dark and disturbing and it ripped my heart out thinking of the truth behind the story and I was bawling. I worked in a jail for 16 years so I've seen this type of thing first hand. I could feel the heartache and the anger coming off the pages. This book is a very emotional read but the more I read I could tell some good was gonna come around. Dingo is a big bad@ss dirty talkin alpha and he has a giant heart. When it comes to women and children the Devil's Fury MC Brotherhood will stop at nothing to keep them safe and protected. Meiling's story is absolutely heart wrenching but behind it all she has found a way to survive. Her strength is unbreakable. As things begin to be revealed it left me crying and cheering. I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this book to everyone

I thought this story was very good. I liked how supportive Dingo was and how strong Mei was. The sex scenes between them were super hot.
It wasn’t easy to listen to, but it was worth it.
As always, Umi Markkanen, the narrator, was excellent. She does all of the voices really well. I love listening to her.

Wow this book was....wow. I can't find the words. It was beautiful and touching and painful and incredible... What Mei went through was awful. Actually, there's not even a word that would describe it. And Dingo... Wow. I thought I had a crush in Jordan's book but now... I am totally in love with this guy. Seriously. He's an amazing man. Sweet, kind, protective, sexy, understanding... The perfect guy for Mei. And I like how close he is with his sister Jordan now. They're just too cute. I was a bit disappointed there weren't more moments between them in this book. Now I'm curious to read about Blades getting back his China and about them meeting with their daughter. I also need more of these hot guys!

I love the MC stories! Dingo is a member of Devil’s Fury. As expected, there are dark moments and potential triggers in the story. The men are tough, rough, dangerous, but also teddy bears for their women. The women all seem to come with trouble of one kind or another. This story is about Dingo and Mei. However, it also touches on Blade and China. Mei was severely traumatized and abused. The story has her moving faster than is realistic, however, it is a story. Despite all the trauma, Mei is looking out for herself, and is not above latching onto a protector. All the better when the protector turns out to be her love. The book was well written. Narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.

i enjoyed the story. it was hot steamy, not my typical read, and was a bit out of my comfort zone! i loved the narrator she did an awesome job portraying all the characters! the story was good, a good plot, though a bit predictable in my mind. but i did finish it, and sometimes it’s nice to go out if your comfort zone and see what you might find! that’s kinda how i feel about this book. this book was. given to me by story origin to read voluntarily my opinions and thoughts are my own! the story did set up book 2 perfectly, and though a bit. out if my comfort zone i might read read book 2 because usually when i start a series of any genre i always try the second to see if my opinions differ!

Dingo and Mei were so amazing together! We met Dingo back in Havoc (and while you dont need to have read Havoc of the Devils Boneyard books to understand what's going I recommend you go read them at some point because they are amazing)

Mei has had a rough life so far and ends up at the Devils Fury clubhouse. Dingo sees her and is instantly drawn to protect her and that's something Mei really needs. Their story is so incredibly sweet seeing the alpha biker handling Mei so gently is heartwarming.

This was potentially a really good story, and had all the bones. But, there were to many questions about how quickly things moved on for the couple to make me really enjoy it.

A girl that traumatised wouldn't go into a relationship with a man 48 hours after meeting him. She may have sex, but not think about a relationship. Also, with the father, no discussion of how he was released from prison. I really wanted more detail.

It's a shame really, cause as I said, the story outline was really good.

This book is darker than the normal MC books that this author writes, so take note of that before continuing. Meiling has had an absolutely horrible life. There are no words to describe how bad it has been. When she comes to the clubhouse, she didn't expect to run into an old friend who is set on helping her. Dingo meets her through that friend and immediately wants to rescue her. Though more than twice her age, they develop of a bond that can't be broken. The narrator is fantastic as always and I look forward to more in this series.

Wow! Dingo and Meiling's story starts out a little rough, not gonna lie. Meiling has been dealt a crap hand for as long as she can remember. It is so bad, my heart hurt for her. As always, Ms Wylde handles it deftly, which isn't easy. From the beginning, Dingo completely stole my heart! He is so sweet from the get-go to her, I just adore him. Phenomenal story, awesome characters, what more could you want. So much love, all the stars for Dingo and Meiling!

I wish I could give this story more than 5 stars. It was wonderfully written and at times was sad to read but it is a reality that happens. Meiling has been through what someone never should have to go through in life. It seems Dingo takes one look and knows he is the one to protect her!!!
This tale had a lot of twists and turns and was just heartwrenching brilliant!!!!
A new favorite in this whole series for me!
Now I need more
I need the story to not end here but continue

Inspiring

Yes I said Inspirational because everyone deserves a happy life. I’m a firm believer in us needing to know the not great part of life people walk through life with blinders on. It’s a shame because those who need love the most are the ones who are forgotten. Nice job incorporating Mia’s story. Regardless of this being fictional story there are a lot of Mia’s out there.

Dingo

This is a heartbreaking, sad, raw, and captivating story. It was not all sunshine and roses but it was definitely a beautiful road to redemption for Mei and Dingo. I love how the men of Devil’s Fury are rough around the edges but underneath that gruff exterior is a tender hearted man who will protect the people he loves. I absolutely enjoyed every single moment of this book.

Dingo and Meiling

Wow, Meiling went through pure hell from the demented foster family that was supposed to take care of her, but no too greedy and nothing but rapist. Thank goodness she showed up at the clubhouse and her teenage friend recognized and sent her away, but then brought her back to the club, where Dingo took care of her and loved her. Some other twist and turns throughout and some good news for her as well. Happy reading.

Love all these series

But...although, I love this Author. Most of her books are a little too short, they kinda end abruptly. This book however, wasn't exactly a Hea. It got cut too short while introducing Blades. The ending is certainly the start of Blades story which I haven't found. It isn't part of this series. and yet we have a clifhanger. Very disappointing
Meh never gets to meet her mother and made has been re!eased.j

Harley has once again woven a story that makes you feel alongside her character. The story has dark elements that can set triggers but that aside it is a story that will have your emotions all over the place. Meiling has lived through some horrific and traumatic experiences. She connects with Dingo who comes along and becomes her hero in addition to being the man who gets her to see she is worth being loved and cherished. This story will have you cheering for Meiling to finally find happiness.

I love a story about a MC where the main character has his heart in the right place!
Dingo is such a story, and it’s steamy as well. Meiling (Mei) has had a heartbreaking past and I loved for her to have found her soulmate in an unexpected place. Dingo is just the right man for her.

This review is based on the audiobook. I loved the story, and the narrator (Umi Markkanen) did an excellent job with both the female and male voice.

Dark

This book was way darker than I expected to read on Valentine's Day. However, it was great. In the aftermath of all the child rape things we have heard in the press in the last two years this story was very timely. Also glad to see a true Devils Fury MC series start. I love Harley's MC romances and never miss one. Liked the surprise ending also.

This is book 1 of a new MC series by this author. It’s got some dark themes to it and the author has done a great job writing them. Both main characters have been through a lot and go through a lot making this an emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed this book and look forward to more books in this series.
