Rules aren’t only meant to be broken. They’re meant to be changed.
Saving the werewolf species from extinction isn’t as easy as the packs of Magaelorum thought. The She-Wolf Games might have united packs in all the territories, but the she-wolf alpha leaders are crazy to think I’ll join their ranks to help continue four—wait, five—powerful bloodlines.
If only that was the most of my worries.
A war brews around us as witches and lycans team up against us. Breaking the magical barrier protecting our species from the rest of Magaelorum will be our end. It doesn’t help that the pack leaders refuse to see past their mating games.
But I do. I’m the only she-wolf to have lived in the Mortal World outside our sanctuary. I know what we must fight for.
Now, the She-Wolf Games have turned into a game of picking the men who will best help me rise. The men who understand it’s more than anticipating my upcoming season.
Welcome to the Wolf-Mate Trials, where only those worthy of me will survive.
Ginna Moran is the author of an array of both paranormal and contemporary young adult novels including the Demon Within, Falling into Fame, and Spark of Life series.
She started writing poetry as a teenager in a spiral notebook that she still has tucked away on her desk today. Her love of writing grew after she graduated high school and she completed her first unpublished manuscript at age eighteen.
When she realized her love of writing was her life’s passion, she studied literature at Mira Costa College in Northern San Diego. Besides writing young adult novels, she was senior editor, content manager, and image coordinator for Crescent House Publishing Inc. for four years.
Aside from Ginna’s professional life, she enjoys binge watching television shows, playing pretend with her daughter, and cuddling with her dogs. Some of her favorite things include chocolate, anything that glitters, cheesy jokes, and organizing her bookshelf.
Ginna is currently hard at work on her next novel.
I’m wondering if the plot is… plotting a little too much? This was not what I expected after finishing book one. I was fully preparing for, you know, mating season 😂. Instead, we got a whole lot more plot than ‘why-choose’. The spice didn’t exactly overflow, but it was still pretty steamy. Part of me wants to keep following these characters to see them grow, both individually and together. The other part of me is like… meh? Honestly, it was a bit exhausting at times. But let’s be real—I’m too nosy to stop now 😅
Wow! Things are getting CRAZY INTENSE for Lyric and her back. The relationship between Lyric and the other she wolfs is a great reaction to watch. I'd have to say my favorite shining character in this book is Flynn. He says he just wants to help himself but I can feel the connection he is making with all the wolves. Prepare for an all nighter because this book will keep you on your toes. Warning: it ends in a cliffhanger so be prepared to wait for the next installment. Although, Miss Ginna Moran has plenty of other fabulous books to read. Heck, I might just re read the first one in preparation for the third book! You'll be on the edge of your seat with each obstacle put in front of Lyric and her pack.
Wow! This is action packed and exciting from the very get go! With an awesome storyline you get sucked into the story and it does not want to let you go! Great characters who are in great danger and tons of emotional twists and turns and that ending!!! Wanna read the next book like now please!
OMG!!! I absolutely love how miss Ginna brings everyone to life. How we are able to see the character development and the the characters develop the relationships. I absolutely love everything about this book and every book I read from Ginna.
Holy Rollercoaster from page one! Ginna does it again with this continuing to prove why she's my favorite author! She just reels you in from the first page no matter how far into a series it is and this doesn't disappoint! This second book in what started off as an amazing and unique series keeps it coming in this awesome second installment! I could not put this down and basically read it in 2 sittings. Lyric and her guys are just the best and all the craziness in the world and the games themselves will have you forgetting your basically treading on the edge of a cliff as ginna distracts you with laughs and passionate moments before letting you remember where you stand.
More chaos, still haven't sorted out all of the fuckery from the first book. More shifters have been claimed, now a warlock also. Where's the story? Is it going to come to any conclusion? Plot twist what is the actual plot?? To claim her pack and change the world maybe?
DNF 81% So bored there's too much action and not enough story, character or romance development. It started off well and I was intrigued by the introduction of Flynn but it deteriorated into sex scene, fight scene, sex scene fight scene repeat over and over it felt like we were getting nowhere and the mate bond with the guys feels way too OTT. She's sooo amazing and an absolute goddess to them and I don't really know why it feels fake and like they're just saying what they think they should. All the guys are pretty much blending into one and the relationship progression is practically the same for all of them making it difficult to tell them apart. I'm done with this series.
AH! I’d been dying for this one since finishing its predecessor, The She-Wolf Games. It picks up right where book 1 left off so I’m instantly propelled into pulse-pounding excitement, drama, and action. This absolutely keeps pace with the first one, maybe even kicks it up at times, since Lyric is basically trying to change her world.
Oh, and it manages to be hilarious at times. Moran is absolutely an author to watch and I cannot recommend checking her out enough.
Ends on a wicked cliffhanger … cannot wait to read book 3!
4 stars.
Note: I listened to the audiobook and found this to be a perfect production and performance. 5 stars on this end.
DNF - quit at 15% A new reader definitely needs to read book 1 first or will be lost as this book picks up at the cliff-hanger ending of book 1. I was a bit on the fence after reading book 1 -but wanted to learn more about the guys, and went ahead & picked up book 2. Didn't get far enough in to learn more about the guys before giving up. This book just didn't hold my attention. I ended up putting it down & surfing the internet. I felt that things were not flowing together well in this book (it was thrown together & felt like it was still in rough draft form), and I just couldn't get back into the story. It didn't help that Lyric seemed to be a different type of character in the first 15% than she was in book 1, so the continuity wasn't the same.
At my age (approaching 60), life is way to short & my time is to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
Very similar to book 1, but i was happy about that. Not gunna lie, the beginning threw me off because it jumped into the future with no warning. i had to listen to the end of the last book to make sure i hadn't lost my mind.
I loved the introduction of Flynn the warlock to the story. Don't know why, he might be my favorite. I am sad she is soo mad at Clay... poor guy.
in this one they are still in the she wolf games... Paige her aunt is with the demons and is causing trouble, and lycans still try and hunt them down.
Cliff hanger at the end with a Lycan about to get her.

It’s no longer the She-Wolf Games. It’s the damn Wolf-Mate Trials.
Lyric and her men face many obstacles as they attempt to rig the She-Wolf Games. They make some new alliances and believe they are making their pack stronger. So much heartache and trials happen with the witches and the Lucas fighting against them. The author made me fall in love with Dax, Sagan and Bastien in this second book. I cracked up laughing at Sterling's phrases. Who wouldn't fall for him too. This next book will be EPIC!!!
I'm not sure how I feel. I like some parts of the series but it can be annoying to read. It seems like she dick punches everybody and always goes from being whiney to kind of strong to whiney again. The MC is so self absorbed and it makes me not like her. I almost didn't finish it. It has some steamy scenes but lacks refinement. I won't read book 3 unless I am out of RH stories to read
Ahhhhhhh....... so amazing! And the story continues as Lyric and her men continue the trials to create their own pack. Plenty of ups and downs along the river of emotional rapids. Lyric starts discovering new things about everyone and also she learns there is a war brewing between the witches and shifters. Luckily she finds a warlock that is willing to be on her side. Great second book! Can’t wait to see what is next!! 💜🖤
Do you want to know the biggest problem with reading this as soon as you can? You have to wait longer to read the next!
Ginna, I absolutely love your books! You capture different personalities perfectly and you write in a manner where you can easily visualize what is happening.
This sequel is awesome! Just like the first book I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to see what’ll happen in the final installment!!! The leaders need to be taught a damn lesson with their ridiculousness!!! I can’t wait to hear what the warlock knows about Lyric and keeping my fingers crossed that he is her fated mate too!!!!
This is a fabulous book. It is the second book in the series and I have loved them both! The character development is awesome and the storyline is just as good! This book is an action packed rollercoaster ride that you won’t want to miss! I cannot wait to read more!
Just when you thought you knew how things would go, you were soooooo completely wrong!!! So much happening and the shewolves can’t stop chasing their own tails long enough to smell what’s really rotten!!! On to the next book!!
This was a little more progressive and enlightening. I liked the characters and they are very confident and endearing. I’m glad that lyric is accepting the pack. I hope we get more answers about the witches.
I like the series so far, but I can't help but wonder why it took her so long to see what was going on right in front of her face. And she stayed around for it all. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Just when you think things are going Lyric's, the stuff hits the fan!! The mystery involving the witches keeps growing and getting more complex. Will Lyric and her guys ever get some peace and quiet?
I'm so glad this series is complete! No long wait period to dive into the next book! This book was an improvement from the first. The writing gets better and the story progresses better in my opinion! On to the next!!
You can never be sure if the second book in a series will be as captivating as the first, but this one definitely is! This story just keeps getting better with every page! I can't help but be a tiny bit jealous of how amazing lyric and her men are not matter what is thrown their way!
That ending!!!! Book I must read the next!!! I highly recommend this book it was so good! I love all her men and I even have a soft spot for antone even tho he isn't mentioned much.
Once again she blows me away. I'm instantly in love with a new character and shock by all the twists and turns. I don't know why I keep letting her do this! Lol
I am absolutely loving this series. You really get lost in this story. Loving Flynn's character he's a nice addition to the pack. Can't wait for the next.
