About the Mars Frontier seriesThis sci-fi series sets out humanity's early attempts to build a colony on Mars. The science included in my books is (largely) conceivable based on current technology and what is being researched by government organisations such as NASA and ESA as well as private companies such as Blue Origin, SpaceX and Boeing. In other words, what’s technically possible with either current technology or taking experimental research a step or two further. That said, you won’t need to be a rocket scientist to enjoy the story.
Very compelling story. Would be 5 stars if not for typos
I really have enjoyed this story and the whole series, in fact. The only thing that keeps me from calling it great are the typos and grammar-os, which seemed to increase in frequency with each book. A better proofreader could take the author over the top.
Nice plotting and storyline...difficult to read with all the grammar errors and other editing issues. It's a shame to have such a good story ruined by such easily correctable errors. Please spend some time on proofreading and editing.
But author Did need to use spell check or have someone proofread these manuscripts as there were several errors in all three books...or at least use spellcheck.
Book Review: “Relic: The Mars Frontier Series Book 3” by Paul Rix Paul Rix got his science correct, i.e., no magic. As a retired researcher, I was interested in his comments about an alloy, viz., iridium and osmium. The rare element, osmium, is about twice as dense as mercury and thus the densest metal known. It made sense to use the alloy as a shield on the probe. I have already purchased “Resilience” the fourth and last book in this series. Good reading! Caveat! It needs proofreading.
