Short and little steam..

Lena has a one night stand and it results in a pregnancy. After the night and few weeks she tries to find the guy she slept with, once she did she messaged and messaged and got mo answer so she decided to be a single mom until she is saved by mister One night. 

As for Magnus he has been searching for Lena since that night but couldnt find her.. and when he does he already head over heels but he knows Lena is holding back..

Now I can understand her holding back but some things did make me annoyed.. like the tiny arguement over the crib had her thinking they were going to break up. :/

Mí humilde opinión:

Lectura corta que se lee de un tirón, tiene dulzura y pasión pero...

Magnus y Lena tienen una conexión instantánea cuando se conocen el el bar de un hotel, pasan una noche juntos, ella se escapa avergonzada de lo que hizo y semanas después descubre que está embarazada, por algún milagro logra localizarlo en instagram solo con su nombre para decirle que va a ser padre pero no contesta, pasan seis meses y lo vuelve a ver de casualidad en la calle, hablan y aclaran el malentendido, Magnus le demuestra que la quiere y al bebé. La historia era simple y tenía cosas que me gustan en un romance con una segunda oportunidad pero terminó siendo bastante aburrida. No vi algo profundo con esta pareja, necesité más escenas juntos, me contaban su conexión en lugar de mostrarme.

Me gustaba Magnus, fue comprensivo y paciente con Lena, comprometido con la relación y el bebé. Lena dentro de todo también es un personaje agradable pero necesite algo más en su romance.

Tiene su final feliz y lindo epilogo pero la lectura lejos estuvo de emocionarme.

Loved this second chance romance. Lena and Magnus were a great couple. What started out as a one night stand ended up being something more for them after 6 months of separation. Can’t wait to read more from Kate Hunt. Loving her work.

Valentine aka Lena never liked Valentine’s Day - since her grade school days, when kids would tease her because of her name and all the way through to adulthood when she always found herself alone on the move romanticized holiday of the year. This year isn’t any different, especially since she’s 6 months pregnant and with no baby-daddy in sight.

Until she finds herself back in Magnus’ arms once again.

Magnus can’t believe that the woman he’s been searching for all these months bumped into him on the street as if fate herself had directed them. But he’s not about to question it, Lena has been on his mind and in his heart since he first saw her at the bar nursing a drink. It’s been months but his attraction to her hasn’t dimmed and when he sees the baby bump on his woman, he knows the baby is just one more link to the woman he knows is meant to be his.

This was such a cute insta-love story with a surprise baby that will hit the spot right in time for Valentine’s Day! It was steamy and sweet. I really liked Magnus, he was just so sweet to both Lena and their little nugget. Lena had some trust issues and divorce phobias that had to be resolved and caused a tiny bit of drama but overall, she was likable.

OM/OW drama : None. I would have liked to confirm Magnus’ celibate status since we know Lena admits to not even flirting with anyone since Magnus.

Push/Pull : Yes, Lena feels this might be moving too fast and being a child of divorce she doesn’t want to jump head first into something that might hurt her baby later.

Main Pursuer of relationship : Definitely Magnus. He does everything right, from instantly acknowledging his baby, declaring his love for the h and not being too pushy or obtrusive when it came to Lena’s insecurities. He was a total cutie!

Plot: Magnus and Lena had a one-night-stand about six months ago, and then they parted ways. Neither of them has been able to find the other since then. It's a little concerning at this point, though, because Lena is six months pregnant with Magnus's baby! But when he does finally find her, she's not as enthusiastic as she thought she would be - why?

Commentary: Yes, why? That was odd, that she was so reluctant to get together with him. And she was so hormonal (at least, I'm assuming that's what her problem was) that they had disagreements over everything! Well, I say disagreement, but poor Magnus was left scratching his head more often than not, wondering what he did wrong. That was annoying.

His Valentine is the story of Lena and Magnus. It is Valentines evening and six month pregnant Lena is walking home from work when she hits some ice on the sidewalk and is about to take a tumble. But before she hits the pavement strong arms catch he and keep her steady. When she looks up she recognizes Magnus and he quickly recognizes her. You see they had one night of the most incredible mind-blowing passion ever.................six months ago. But when she awoke in his arms early the following morning she bolted before he could wake up as she was embarrassed by what she had done. But four weeks later as she was looking at two pink lines on that white stick she realized she had made a big mistake. So she tried to find Magnus but without knowing his last name, profession or other relevant details of his life she was just about to give up when she happened to check the last social media platform and found him. After a couple of weeks and several private messages sent to him without getting any reply she made the decision to have the baby on her own.
What Lena does not know is that Magnus awoke the morning after their night together and when it was apparent she was not coming back before he had to check out she tried to find her. He owns a security company but without knowing her details either he had not luck even on social media sites. When he saves her from falling he quickly realizes that she is pregnant and feels certain it is his baby. So he invites her to go to dinner with him to talk about things. As it is Valentine's night, and he does not want to push his luck, he takes her to a local diner and they start to hash some things out including clearing the air about what happened six months ago and that they had bad timing regarding about social media. It seems she had to create new accounts again when she was searching for him as she had deleted all of hers a few years prior and he never signed into the site she had found him on. Now the question becomes where to they go from there and how do they get there.

This is a sweet and fast-paced interesting book with a wonderful story-line and great characters, both Lena and Magnus and also a couple supporting. I loved that Magnus just immediately knew that the baby was his and wanted not only to step up as a father but also to claim Lena in whatever way she was comfortable, as he realized he was not going to be able to in with everything or he would scare her off. So over the course of a few days/weeks he shows her that he is going to be there for both her and his little girl. I really enjoyed reading this novella and had a smile on my face when I was done. A definite recommendation to other readers!!!

This was a very fast paced, fun read by Kate Hunt. She gives us the greatest characters - wonderful banter, sexy, OTT alphas, sassy females to contrast them, and a hole-lotta heat! Magnus and Lena are absolutely no exception.

They met one night in a hotel bar. Lena was just escaping the weather, while Magnus was finishing up a security job. There was an instant connection and chemistry, and their night was amazing. So, when Magnus woke to an empty bed he was not only confused, he was heartbroken.

Lena woke before Magnus, and freaked. She didnt ever do one-night-stands! No matter how amazing he was, or their connection was. She ghosted him, until a pregnancy mandated she try to locate him. FINALLY she found a listing an app with his picture, but he never responded. For his part, Magnus spent months looking for Lena. It was not until 6 months after their night together that he came upon her on the street, on Valentine's Day of all days! After the two figures out that they each looked for the other, Lena relaxed, but Magnus still wanted to know why she left. "It wasn't a one-nigh thing to me."..."Oh." Lena was speechless, she had really misjudged the entire situation.

Magnus was then determined to show her they were meant for eachother, not just because of the baby. He had wanted her that night! Yet, when a minor disagreement sends Lena reeling with memories of her parents bad marriage, she tells Magnus they can't work.

Will Magnus be able to convince Lena that they have a future? Or, has Lena predestined herself to co-parent their daughter because she is afraid to truly open her heart? Grab your copy and find out how far Magnus will go to get his girls!

A one night stand that turned into so much more

Lena wasn't looking for love when she stopped in The Regal for a drink, she just wanted to get out of the heat for a bit. But when Magnus comes in and orders the same club soda with lime that she had, she struck up conversation. That conversation led to so much more, but the morning after she flips out because she doesn't do one night stands and she leaves him sleeping. No number, no note.
Magnus was heartbroken when he woke up and saw that Lena was gone. Being the owner of a security firm, he searched all data bases he could in search for her but found nothing. Holding onto hope though, he looks for her everytime he is out in town. Until a fateful day, 6 months later, he runs into her again and sees that she's pregnant....and she's pregnant with his baby.
Determined to show her that he's in it for long haul, will Magnus win over Lena completely?

This was such a sweet story about a one night stand that turned into a happily ever after. Magnus is so darn sweet and I loved Lena's determination and strength. This is a great read that will leave you in smiles and I can't wait to read more of Kate's works!

Six months later. Magnus is catching Lena from slipping on a sheet of ice. He is surprised to see her after almost 6 months because the last time he saw her was at a hotel that he was surveying for security purposes. It was a hot day and Lena was looking for a place for respite. The cataclysmic attraction that they had for each other led to definitely an extreme steamy night. Problem. Lena is gone the next morning. Because she’s not going by her birth name valentine it is hard for Magnus to find her. He is instantly enthralled when he notices that she is pregnant. He doesn’t even hesitate to acknowledge that he is the father. This starts their adventure in the short Alpha Insta love book. It’s fun to watch how the characters evolve and how they learn about each other. Definitely a steamy scene here or there and no cliffhanger.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Lena met the man of her dreams six months earlier. After one night together she let her fear take over and she ran. Unbeknownst to Lena, she would end up pregnant. Magnus has been looking for Lena for six months. When they bump into each other again, he is determined to keep her for forever.
The chemistry between Magnus and Lena is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked that after looking for one another, they had bumped into one another on the street.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

Lena hates Valentine's day. She always has. She's looking for a cool place to be during a heat wave, and ends up in a hotel lounge. Where she meets her drink twin - club soda and lime - Magnus. She sneaks out - embarrassed - after a one-night stand with him. But now she's pregnant, and has no idea how to find him. A chance meeting on the street brings them together again. He wants to be involved, not just with their baby, but with her. She's afraid to get too close - her parents divorced when she was young. This is a very nice story - short and steamy with a happy ending. Lena and Magnus have terrific chemistry together, when she's not worried about falling in love.

Lena and Magnus meet in a bar over non-alcoholic drinks after a short discussion over music and a long night of wonderful rip-roaring-sex Lena sneaks away feeling uneasy over never doing a one and done before.

Not giving each other an adequate amount of information, about each other leaving them at a loss. So, when each starts a search. It’s leading them only to dead ends. But, what are they both thinking before they run into each other again?

Now, that they have run into one another. Can they each understand the reasoning, of the other, for what happened, six months ago, and how it needs to work for them both, now? Will Lena, allow Magnus to be an active, daily part of hers, and the babies life? You’ll need to read to find out.

This is a quick but great story! Perfect for a cold afternoon. I love reading anything by Kate Hunt. I never want her stories to end.

Magnus and Lena spent a great night together six months ago. She gets scared and runs the next morning. She discovers that she is pregnant from the encounter and tries to find him. He has been looking for her during this time. They randomly run into each other again. He is thrilled that he has found her and his child. Will they be able to make things work this time around

This was a great insta-love/second chance romance by Kate Hunt. Hoping to get away from the heat, Lena finds herself at a hotel lounge. Sitting on a stool next to her she meets Magnus. The connection between them is instant and intense. The next morning after an amazing night and Lena is gone. Weeks later, Lena learns her one-night stand with the man she can't seem to forget has consequences. Unable to find Magnus with only his first name, Lena decides to raise their baby on her own until they find themselves face to face again. Now that Magnus has his second chance he refuses to let her go. 5 stars!

I have read a lot of Kate Hunt's books, if not the majority of them and the one thing I can say is that with each story she writes, she develops more and more as a writer and because of that her stories flourish beyond belief.

This specific story was so well-written, especially as it is a quick read. Kate did a brilliant job of laying out the plot so seamlessly and developing the characters so that you felt as if you'd known them your entire life.

I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a quick, steamy valentine read.

If you’re in the mood for a quick and easy contemporary romance read then you should definitely read this book. It’s an instalust/instalove book with a sweet happily ever after. Magnus and Lena have a hot one night stand and then lose touch. Except their passionate night left Lena with a bun in the oven. With no way to get a hold of Magnus, Lena is prepared to be a single mom but fate steps in and brings these two back together. TBR and enjoy.

His Valentine is a amazing Instalove story that will melt your heart with each turn of the page. Kate Hunt has amazingly weaved her magic to create a story of how timing is everything.

Chance meeting and a passionate night, leaves Lena with more than happy memories. After both Magnus and Lena tried to find each other with only limited information on each other, it is by chance they cross paths again.

This swet romance reminds us things happen when there are supposed to happen.

What's better than a HOT 1 night stand? A guy who wants forever!
The result of a hot 1 night stand, in the heat of August, is a baby. They met, they created a baby and then she snuck out and they weren't able to find each other. Coincidentally running into each other on Valentine's Day he finds out he's going to be a father. He's all in immediately but has to convince her they are meant to be together forever. The steam factor was off the charts. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Brilliant read

After Lena spends one night with Magnus and is left with a nice surprise and after trying to find him and giving up the last thing she expected when slipping on ice is for him to save her. Magnus looked for Lena after she left him but couldn’t now he saves her from a fall and Lena is definitely pregnant with his child. All Magnus has to do now is to show Lena he wants to be with her not just because Lena is pregnant but how in love he is with her.

Una historia corta pero que a diferencia de otras contiene lo justo y necesario. Me encantó la manera de escribir de la autora y todo lo que sucedió en el libro. Magnus y Lena son preciosos juntos, adore como él le dió espacio cuando lo necesitaba, estuvo ahí cuando era necesario y no la dejó sola, sin contar el detalle que hizo con la mamá.

Básicamente, es de esas historias que te dejan con una sonrisa al terminarlas 🤍

Fate definitely had a play in this one night stand, could it possibly turn into forever. Cute read with immediate attraction, I liked how it basically began in the middle of the story and explained the beginning like a flashback. Fast paced storyline with a satisfying ending.

You can’t rule fate out. It seems like fate when Lena and Magnus meet only to not see each until months later. Love the way Magnus steps up and how he was looking for Lena too. It’s sweet and their reunion is sexy.

3.5 **** Have to watch those impulsive one nighters. Sometimes you get a souvenir... The morning after, Lena takes off mortified about she has done. Meeting again by accident, Magnus is delighted to see Lena, baby belly and all. He’s all in but she is hesitant about a long term relationship. A cute, lunchtime read!
