Hawks finally confronts the one person who trusted him within the evil organization as Twice receives the ultimate character development package. What an intensely emotional moment for this guy!
1) I need someone to reassure me that all of them are safe. 2) Kaminari Denki Supremacy™ 3) Mirko is a goddess of Beating-the-Daylights. 4) BABY HAWKS. BABY HAWKS HOLDING ENDEAVOR PLUSHIE. HAWKS FIGHTING. 5) Dabi Unhinged. 6) I need a glass of water
Shit has OFFICIALLY hit the fan now, and holy crap is the result glorious!
In this volume we see the beginning of the battle (war?) between the Liberation Army and an army of heroes, whilst another (smaller) battle takes place between multiple nomus and a group of heroes attempting to get a hold of the guy who created them.
The battle of Hawks vs. was phenomenal, and so was the battle between Miruko and and I am just beyond impressed with everything that this volume covered, because WOW.
Of course it had to end with a cliffhanger though (of COURSE), so it's time for the next volume, stat!
Chapter notes below for personal reference: (potentially spoiler heavy)
Holy shit!! Holy shit!! It just keeps getting better!! I loved the fact that we got to see some of the students shine in these chapters. They're all so phenomenal!! But, the whole thing with Hawks, Dabi, and Twice was so intense, omg. I'm kinda losing my shit!!
Hawks, the No. 2 Hero was always cool. But as a double agent? Infinitely more so! I never could foresee this turn of events though. Hawks vs. Twice was easily one of the most chilling fights I've seen in MHA.
A QUIÉN APOYAS?
Finally, My hero steps up it's game. After last few volumes just been aite, we finally get a massive step up in quality with the start of war.
So the heroes decide to make a move. After Hawks gave them the info they needed to take down the villains they begin their attack. However, the bad guys aren't just going to take it standing down. The heroes get to shine, especially Hawks and Rabbit Girl, displaying some of the best fights the series has to offer yet.
Who will live? Who will die? The series finally gives us big moments.
Wow, Volume 27 literally blew me away! Mirko was fabulous and she had a godly physique. She was a determined and confident hero who stole my heart. Looks like we're now very close to finding out who the hell 'Dabi' really is. This is the most compelling mystery of the MHA series that remains to be revealed. I hope my theory about his origin is correct. 🤞🙂
I was absolutely not looking forward to this volume at all because the red chicken bitch KILLS one of my absolute favorite characters Twice. And I will forever be upset about this especially considering they make such a big fucking deal about not "killing" anyone ever yet what does HE DO????? KILLS HIM!!! I will never understand why anyone liked Hawks he's a fuckin bitch and my hottest MHA take will always be that I hate him.

The absolute best arc of MHA. The culmination of years of character work paying off tremendously. And omg my heart. The fact I care this much about the villains as I do the heroes. Twice, you were a fucking real one 💜
It’s more of a 4.5✨ but OMG Twice is one of my favorite characters in this series and crying and throwing up right now if what I think just happened actually happened… please I hope what just happened did not happen 🤞🏽
Meh. This issue was not bad, but I don't know or care about most of heroes feature in this comic. I have no idea who bunny hero from the cover of this issue eating carrots was - though she was kicking ass. I don't like Hawks and have no idea why I'm supposed to care for him. At least I know who Endeavor is since he at least shows up from early issues (but he is hardly in this issue). Even the League of Villains characters I like hardly had time in the issue. I mean I'm here from the first issue with Deku and his classmates. Suddenly we get all these other characters and no sign of Deku.
I don't know anymore. This is now the story of two groups of people with powers. The government has branded one group bad and another group good. The only way into the good group is to take really ill advised practical exams with totally biased and loaded grading. We don't know what the written part of the test is like or how much law a hero really needs to know. Then the government has pitted each group against the other in some attempt to distract those with powers from fixing actual problems in the world. A lot of the villains did not start that way. A bunch of the heroes are worse than the villains (looking at you Endeavor). Hopefully the story gets back to following Deku and the other students from his school.
Thoughts: Denki - LETS GO! Mirko - What a baddie! Also please take care of yourself. I find I am growing attached. Tamaki - Seeing one of your favorites grow out of his shell is everything! 😪 But I'm confused because 'Tamaki’s Quirk grants him the ability to manifest the physical characteristics of anything he's eaten'... THEN HOW DID HE BECOME A CENTAUR!!! DID HE EAT A HORSE??!! SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WTFFFFF Tokoyami - My favorite finally getting to truly show how amazing his quirk is. Seeing how easily Dark Shadow can take out Redestro was insane! IM SO PROUD OF HIM! Dabi - Unhinged. I'm unhinged because of it. Hawks - wE sAw BaBy HaWkS hOlDiNg LiL eNdEaVoR aNd I aM wEaK! ALSO HAWKS VS. DABI GOT ME F*CKED UP! Twice - do not even get me started 😭😭😭
This latest confrontation between heroes and villains is a surprising rail of events, and our young heroes see it unfold. We see energized but tough Mirko use her full rabbit power against a corrupt doctor who unleashes his frightening experiments. As for our double agent Hawks, he has a intense confrontation with the villains he’s been tailing and one of them will put up a pretty brooding fight. It’s one explosive arc that’s far from over. A (100%/Outstanding)
Lot of action, new characters, plot twists, this one was a heel of a fast-pace ride! I like it a lot, always fun to received those pre-order books and just read them as soon as they arrived!! Cool afternoon ends read!
