It is no longer about me, and I can't live without them, but the darkness is trying to make me choose…
I have overcome so much in the last year, including the things inside of me that have always held me back. I have fallen deeper than I ever thought not for just one, but for three amazing boys I can now call mine. I have this silly view of the future in my head of all of us graduating and being a happy magical family.
Only, something is looming that could rip us apart forever; The Choosing.
It is something we all must face. A test to see if our powers are more disposed for the light or the dark, or if we are neutral enough to choose our own path. It is not supposed to matter because both sides protect the world in their own way. But even with our powers, we are all still basely human…imperfect. And if one of us chooses the "wrong" side, I am afraid I will be forced to turn away from one of more of these boys or be destroyed in a tug of war between dark and light.
Find out who she chooses in the second book in this new adult paranormal romance series being praised by fans of Jaymin Eve and Leia Stone.
Honestly I wasn't a fan of the first book but I figured I would give book 2 a try to see if it got better. It does not. The author's comfort with "telling" instead of showing is unfortunate. There were many mistakes confusing me. And the author fails to create an actual plot to follow. This book lost me. Sorry
I swear I could not put this down I read it in one setting, kept me hanging on wanting more and the cliffhanger at the end has me rushing to pre order the rest of the series
There's a load more action in this book . I can't quiet make my mind up about zeth I'm getting whip lash with his emotions. I think this book could of been made longer especially when it came to meeting her parents and the summer break .
2.5 The plot has potential but the story itself is just very basic and jumpy with no real story of character development. An okay read if you want something quick and easy to pass a little time.
It's probably a personal failing, I am not quite sure. Despite the "wooden" characters and lack of environmental detail, the story makes me curious no matter how middling it was executed. The truth is the concept is original and therefore very different in a genre that is fairly repetitive. This is one of those books that is annoying because curiosity just can't be averted and your pride is wounded because you keep reading.
