As a real estate investor, I wanted to read this book to ensure I was in the right path. After the book, I felt really good with where my partner and I are in this process. I recommend this book for anyone who’s interested in getting started with investing in real estate.
The information was good for an over view of how to start in the rental business.however, I wish it more detail ed in the process and not plug her website so much.
Great book written for normal working people who want to get out of the rat race
I read this Kindle book in just a couple of days while highlighting throughout. Lisa doesn't just give you the success stories, she asks the questions to help you determine what your goals are, points you in the direction of resources, tells you the step by step route you need to take to reach your goals, and reiterates CRUCIAL points along the way that will cause you frustration (through loss if time and money) if you don't heed the advice (and make the same mistakes she did)
The info she has provided in this book can well take the place of overpriced seminars and weekend courses. Yes, really. I feel informed after reading this book and prepared to take the next step in setting up my real Estate investment business. The next book I'm going to read is one that Lisa recommended (and that I had already purchased!) About setting up my business/corporation in a way that keeps my taxes as low as possible to maximize my wealth.
You are capable of doing this. Lisa will show you how. Great book. Great investment in myself and my business!
This book had a couple of nuggets and it's definitely not your average every day investing book. Its worth the free price if you have Kindle unlimited.
However, it left a lot to be desired. There was no real substance to it and it felt a bit like a sales pitch for her mentoring program. I know I've been sold to enough in the real estate world and I don't want to be sold to more when I'm reading about new strategies.
I also found her use of 35k houses... Well I'm just not sure I can find that in my neck of the woods and make any kind of money off it. She says to leverage zillow, and believe me, I know how to do that, but gives no indication on how to find those houses in a decent neighborhood besides saying to ignore school ratings.
I gave it 4 stars because this book did have some fresh ideas that you don't hear about any day and so its worth a read...
My wife and I are looking to buy an investment property and I came across Lisa’s book on Amazon. I can totally connect with Lisa’s views on real estate since I grew up in south Los Angeles. She’s not into gentrifying neighborhoods, but she is about earning cash while giving people a decent place to live.
There were definitely some tips I found helpful as I begin my investing journey. If you’re experienced in real estate, I still think Lisa’s unique view is refreshing and there are things to learn. If you’re a newbie like my self, def buy the book. Only takes 3 days or less to get through and I feel like I’m better off than I was before. I’m so excited to start looking for a property now since I’m a hands on learner.
This is a small book that is jam packed with information on how to invest, step by step, in low cost properties in working class neighborhoods and rent them out to hard working, working class folks. Lots of practical advice that landlords and investors can apply right away, as well as pitfalls to watch out for.
The author offers one on one coaching and has a Facebook group where she can provide more personal support to those who want a more personal touch and need more help on their journey.
Highly recommended for those who are interested in buying and renting this class of housing.

This book outlines the general measures that are needed and understands that there has to be customization to fit your dreams. I have been following Ms. Philkips on YouTube and this books manifests her principles and strategy. I am ready to make my dreams come true and provide housing for the working class.
I enjoyed the book and think there were some solid tips in there for new investors. I also like the perspective of Sub 30K investing and the book laid out the path to money and financial freedom that awaits you! It was a refreshing break from the typical real estate advice that assumes you have people in your life who can provide you substantial financial support in the beginning of your journey. Highly recommend!
I love Lisa Phillips and have been following her for a long time. I am finally ready to jump head first in REI and this book is great extra motivation to learn from someone that has been there and has strategies and Systems in place that are proven. I cant wait to work with her soon

The book was a very good read and so relatable! It was easy to connect to the stories of hardship and wanting change and financial freedom and so motivating to learn that there are options for everyone.
This book provides information you can use immediately. And, it’s simple approaches to wealth building. The self promoting of the mentoring program was a little turn-off. I would refer it to someone just starting their real estate business.
