This particular one is set around a group college friends who started a business together, DP Enterprises, Derrick, Mark & Alex. DPE is now a hugely successful business. Audra runs the HR department, Jamie is Derrick's P.A & Shannon is Audra's bestfriend & roommate.
The men are closenit, boisterous & funny. They're enjoying their looks & money and also sleeping around without a care.😏 The girls are sassy & full of fire. They lust after the trio but think their approach to 'dating' is gross!🙈 This novella is a snippet of them interactging!😂
It's witty & steamy.🔥 I spent most of the time I was reading with a smile on my face, which made such a nice change!😃 It's such a fun read!🌟

January 22, 2020Audra and Derrick danced around each other at work for so long, neither one believing the other was interested. Audra was a great character - strong and sassy. Her boss, Derrick, was deliciously alpha. The two of them together was the perfect combination of fun, funny and steamy. I really enjoyed their story!

This series is not my normal go to, but this author is one I'll read anything by and this book was different than the first two in the series. Loved the characters and plot, was sucked in from start to finish.

Audra and Derrick heat up your kindle in this explosive Boss romance. Derrick is the Boss at DP Enterprises ( the name alone makes me giggle) Audra is his employee. She is a fiery go getter who isnt afraid to tell him what's up. Derrick always thought she hated him. Until one night things change and he gets to take care of her.

Plot: Audra is the head of HR at Derrick's company (he's the owner/CEO). She gives him a lot of trouble, often because of dealing with the fallout from Derrick's womanizing. Audra has a secret crush on Derrick, though, even though she also finds his behavior disgusting. Audra conspires with another woman at the office, Derrick's assistant (who also has to deal with a lot of Derrick's cast-off women), to find out where the guys - Derrick and his two friends, collectively called 007 - are going to be that night so they can go too. Once there at the nightclub, Audra orders a drink and while distracted, a guy she's been talking to slips something in the drink. She takes a sip, and Derrick has to rescue her. He takes her to his home to watch over her. He comes to realize that he really likes her and wants to have a real relationship with someone for the first time ever.
Commentary: That plot summary was a hot mess, and one of the reasons why is because there were so many people involved in this story, like right up in the middle of the main relationship. Derrick had his two close friends who were always around, both at work and at his home. Audra has close friends as well. Plus there are people at work that are casual friends. All of those extra people cluttered up the plot for me. That's a personal dislike for me, though, having a large circle of close, present, interfering friends. Also, the ending seemed rushed, with Derrick suddenly realizing that he loved her. It seemed like they only had intermittent angry interactions at work, so that was a surprise to Derrick, Audra, and me!

Unreasonable is a quick, funny, sexy office-romance that I read in a very short amount of time. The characters are fun and the story easy to follow. Lots of sexy times and fun with no drama in sight. Grab this one!

Brilliant, once I had started I couldn't put it down until I had finished.
I laughed, I cried, I got annoyed and I got frustrated with the people in the book. I would of loved to have knocked 2 heads together if I could of could my hands on them, yer I know they are characters in a book, but while I am reading a book if I am made to feel as though I am part of that book then those characters are no longer just people in a book.
I was pulled into this book from the beginning and that is where I stayed until I had read the last word, watching the story play out in my head while reading the written book.
Anne Mercier had done it again another great book to add to her list of books and one I enjoyed everything about it, Anne sure knows how to hold your interest within one of her books, but for me I always feel as if I am a part of the book, like I am an outsider looking in and I love how that makes me .
I think I have now read everything that Anne has written and I have to say every single book has put me through different emotional feelings, I can always feel the emotions that the characters feel and usually go through them at the same time.
This is one book, series I would highly recommend, I would also recommend the author, if you have never read any of her books you are truly missing out on an experience.

January 24, 2020Unreasonable is a sweet, steamy fast read. This is the third in the series, but I was able to jump right in. So it can be read as a stand alone, although I do plan to go back to read book one and two. Easy to follow without knowing the backstory.
I love going in blind with the majority of my books. So I didn’t read the synopsis, I just dove in. Since it is short there was no waste of words. The story was very well thought out and executed without a lot of fluff. Which I’ll be honest, I didn’t miss. The plot flowed, the characters were all developed. The H/h had great personalities. I loved the way the humor was intwined.
If you are looking for a fast read to help you get out of a book funk Unreasonable will definitely do that. Funny, sexy, and a borderline instalove it will move you in the right direction.

This office romance novella in Anne Mercier’s Forbidden Fantasies series is ON FIRE!!! Seriously, the chemistry and banter between Derrick Payne, CEO of DP Enterprises and his HR team lead, Audra Sullivan, is off the charts hot and heavy, and, competitive as all hell.
Both are forces to be reckoned with, especially Audra, because she takes sh!t from no-one, and works like a demon to piss Derrick the hell off as much as she can. It seems to be working, because the man at the top of the food chain is confused, so when his best buds says she’s hot for him, he honestly believes she would rather cut him off at the knees!
The animosity between these two is the hottest kind of foreplay that you can imagine!

Y'all this is my first read by Anne Mercier. And holy crap balls on fire how did I not find her books before now? She's amazing!! This story had it all! It packed the laughs, the heat, and even WTF moments. And I couldn't put it down. I literally devoured this whole book in less than 3 hours. I was so sad when it was done. I NEED MORE!!! What's not to love? Sexy strong alpha males. And sassy smart mouth, quick wit strong female leads. UM YES PLEASE!!!! Derrick and Audra have been added to my list as one of my all-time favorite couples of 2020! And I need more of them!

Derrick is the CEO of DP Enterprises and doesn’t hesitate to tell him things he’s not done, he knows it and his assistant knows it. Audra knows it would be easier to hate him if he was so sexy.
Derrick thinks that Audra hates him, although his partners disagree and say its foreplay with the amount of sexual tension between them.

As this is a novella, it is short, sweet, sexy, no fush no mush, I'm taking what I want office romance.

"Unreasonable" is the story of Audra and Derek, two people that like each other, but don't realize that they have the same feelings for each other. Audra is the boss of the Human Resources department for Derek's company, DP Enterprises. Both of them had been dancing around each other without even realizing that they were doing the same dance. When they were "thrown" together in a scheme by Derek's best friend's and partners, Alex and Mark, in the form of Dating 101, they realized that they had more in common than they thought. From start to finish, it will have you laughing and cheering them on! It is a short and quick read, but it does not lack for nothing.

This was such a fun and easy read. The banter and chemistry between Audra and Derrick comes off the pages. I love her sassy attitude and her no fear approach when it comes to calling him out. He is the perfect kind of aloha. Firm and in control when he needs to be without being crazy and overbearing. Definitely swoon worthy. But it’s the best friend duo of Alex and Mark that stole the show. Their antics and just overall personalities had me laughing out loud. I look forward to watching them both fall in the future. Can’t wait for more from the Forbidden Fantasies.

I literally couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. I loved the playful bantor between Derrick and Audra. You literally could tell they were both hot for each other right from the start but the question was, who was going to give in first at all and when. I love novellas like this that suck you in and have a good story line. It leaves you literally wanting more at the end! I cannot wait for the next book in the forbidden fantasies series!

Love it!! If you are looking for a light steamy read then this book is for you!!
Anne does a perfect job of keeping your attention through out the entire book. Between the steamy build up of Audra and Derrick along with the funny interactions between Derrick and his two best friends Mark and Alex you can't lose. It's the perfect escape with a HEA.

Another 5* from this brilliant author, a story of workmates that quickly turn into something else, every book that Anne writes is in my opinion 5* plus and this one is no exception. When I started it I wasn't too sure what was going to happen but as I got into the story I really couldn't put it down. I recommend everyone read it

Fun easy read of the playboy CEO who has the hots for his employee. Audra wants her boss Derrick but he is her boss and more importantly an known playboy. Well after reading the first two books in this series i thought i knew what i was in for, i was so wrong and I'm glad i was. Audra and Derrick's story surpassed all my expectations and set my heart and knickers alight. If you love a sassy spitfire heroine and hard to tame alpha hero with some nosey funny loveable friends thrown in then this book is definitely for you.

h My God! This story was awesome and addictive! Derek and Audra are too hot for words.
This short novel is one of the best I have read in a while. I can honestly say that this storyline intrigued me from the beginning and the unique view of the story lead to a page turning outcome.

I really enjoyed this short story by Anne Mercier. The characters were entertaining and believable. I liked the story line, it was refreshing. I found that the story line made me feel good. I kept turning page after page to see what happened next. Great read!

I enjoyed this sweet office romance story between Derrick and Audra. I enjoyed their conversations and their streamy chemistry. For a shorter story it was jam packed with lots of details. Add in two best friends who add so much to the story, I found I did not want it to end.

Binge-worthy
As usual Ms Mercier didn't disappoint, I absolutely love this series and Unreasonable was another perfect addition to add to the many awesome books Anne has written. I read this book in 2 hours! I couldn't put it down! I can not wait for the next book in the series!

Loving these Fantasies!
These stories just get better and better. Short and sweet read with a clueless man and his adorable partners in crime who think they can get one over on a woman. I loved the mix of sexy and funny along with protective males. Keep 'em coming!
