Tentacles and Fuzzies

I liked the characters and world building. I liked the growth of the characters as well. The book did leave me with more questions than answers. The story was kind of cute, but then felt very rushed. I won't say anymore because I don't want to give spoilers. I will say I will not continue if this is part of series. Simply because it felt rushed and left more questions.

A storm was coming and Mabel, Clay Master of her clan, was nervous. She went over all the things that needed to be done and everything was in order. She continued to make the clay pot she was working on. She had just recently moved to the island as people started noticing that she didn’t age. It was closer to their sacred cave and the “fuzzies” she grew to add to the pot mixture. Their scent appealed to the humans and they eagerly purchased the pots.

The ringing of the phone woke Mabel up. She had not expected the visitors to arrive tonight and the storm was soaking them outside. Her cousin Kellen was at the door with 3 men she didn’t know, though they were obviously not human. He introduced her to Jericho, Zander and Rion and told her they were from the home world where her father had come from. She felt very unsettled around them for some reason. Elder Harry arrived next, soaked by the storm. He was not pleased to see Zander, and with good reason. Zander told him they were there to take over. Being the superior species, they would be making Earth their home. A knock at the door and Mabel recognized Nurse Freya who had raised her. She was surprised Freya when she said they were ready and led the visitors to their sacred cave where their species began! She felt there was a great secret here that she knew nothing about!

In the cave, her “fuzzies” were growing and she reached out to them. Their hum intensified as she stroked them. Zander looked at her with intense interest, while Jericho looked at her with an expression of enchantment. Harry looked angry, but not at her. Harry quietly warned her not to tell Zander anything about the fuzzies and how they responded to her. The tunnel brightened and there was a grinding sound – Harry touched her shoulder and told her to breathe and calm down, but she was losing control. Only Jericho’s holding her hand against the cool wall calmed her. When Harry went up to make a speech, he introduced Zander. Zander stripped and his lower body became tentacles as he told the people this was how they should look, not wearing a human-like shell and hiding in shadows. Harry tried to stop him, but Zander said they are a warrior people who do not cower from their prey! Things were escalating fast! What would happen now?

This was a mystery where new other-world people arrived for the family gathering that happened every 5 years. But they seemed to have a whole new game plan that no one was expecting. Mabel seems to be of particular interest to them – but why? Grab your copy and find out the secrets that may change everything!

Erotica? well it had some, but i wouldn't label the book as such to be honest.
The book had a potential, the idea was there. As a series nothing held together and was really confusing, already in the 2nd book the names were different from the 1st one, even though the description clearly could make you think that couple who [re]started the species is the one from 1st book, in this, no details made sense if you consider 2nd book, all of a sudden they were ok in the sun, while in 2nd book the sun would kill their alien part. Also 2nd book stated that they weren't immortal, because of the human part, but their lives were extremely long. The species in this books, seem like it is similar to them but it is not the same. And yet the cave is there what suggest it is, so the 3 guests that never touched earth before would be completely different than them, due to lack of human DNA in them. As a stand alone, it was a bit better if you forgot everything from previous books and just read it as such, but again, there was loads of unclear for me there. Barely any interaction between the main character and her love interest, so not exactly a romance,2 sex scenes also don't really make it erotica for me, at least not the way it was written. And the writing... as a person for whom English is only a 2nd language even i could see there was something wrong there, AND SHE AND HER AND AND AND SHE SHE HER HER... constant repeating was just too annoying, also the author lost a perspective quite a few times, swapping from 3rd person to 1st person. As for the whole idea, it is extreme shame that execution of it was so poor, it barely got interesting and then it ended. Think author could reconsider her genres it would be good full length suspense book or something of that sort. If written properly of course.

Aliens from another world have come to Earth. Some to live in peace, some to start a war. Mable and many others from another planet have been living on Earth in peace until Zander comes wanting to obliterate humans and take over the planet. But many of the humans are Mable’s friends and she knows it is wrong. As a Clay Master she has more powers than she knows, she just has to tap into them and stop Zander and his followers.I would have give this book five stars but it needs to be re-written. When characters speak in a book the author usually preceeds the words or afterwards says she said, or she responed, etc. This book did not, and many times there were huge paragraphs with interactions between multiple characters and you couldn’t tell who was talking. I don’t understand why an editor didn’t correct this as it how all books are written. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

This story I listened to twice so I could understand what was going on. This was my first tentacle sex story and it was interesting. I got more understanding the second time around because I couldn't figure out who was who about who was good, bad and indifferent. I wish this particular story was longer because there was so much more to this story that could have been written about Mabel and how she was learning and growing into her powers. Only the tip of the iceberg was touched and I would have liked to have seen her relationship grow with her beau. She was a very interesting character as she was an introvert and needed time to process things and I liked that. She didn't know everything upfront, and she didn't pretend to, but once she pieced together things, she was able to determine what she liked, didn't, and the fairness of it all.

Mabel grew up know her parent were banished, but not why. She becomes the Clay Master and is slowly becoming more powerful and intune with the earth elements around her. They have tried hard to blend in and make friends with the humans. Then 3 men come to her home with her cousin Kellen. Jericho, who becomes her love interest. Zander, who want to take over the planet and destroy the humans. And Rion his right hand. All goes crazy when Zander kills Harry and Kellen before Mabel's eyes. Then when she goes to Hamilton, the human town, she finds bodies burning, friends and people she cared about. Mabel then lets her power surge and goes after Zander for revenge. Ok ending but would've liked a proposal or commitment ceremony for her and Zander.

** I read this part of a box set that's not yet available on goodreads**

This story was very good but different than the first two book's in my box set. This book was more about finding the femal character inners strength after so much sadness and tragedy. I really loved this story in the box set I read. **This story is the last story in my box set but regardless all three book's in box set are worth reading**

First book was a short foundation book the next two book's are other couples but the book's still continue the story and each book is so different and really cute.

I enjoyed this story but there were just a few mistakes the editor should of picked them up but it is a good story.

What she discovered of herself could destroy mankind

Very different story from the usual aliens with tentacles genre. As if learning the truth about what happened to her home world and people wasn't enough she then discovers she is "special ". She has to fight the one who wishes to control earth via destroying mankind. But will her newly discovered powers be enough. A good quick read.

Part of the Tentacle Hero Chronicles series this one was different. Mabel is a Clay Master and has powers she does not even know about, and she is going to need them as others come to here town. A good story. I hope there is more to come in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A war of the tentacle beings is about to begin and one "woman" will be the decidibg factor in which side wins. An interesting premise with danger, action, beings, lust and more.

this story was different than the others within the storyline. There was some bloodshed and just the right amount or gore.

Emma Night comes once again with her octo-aliens! The steam in this one seems to dwindle a bit compared to the other two books but we get a villain for the first time. Though, in my opinion he was killed way too quickly and easily.

Only two things worked against the story: (1) I'm not entirely sure were this story fits in the timeline, and (2) In this installment it appears that only the males have tentacles but didn't the second book mention females having tentacles too? That left me so confuse since in "Dissident" there's an alien colony living in the sea by an island and in this one everyone appeared to be passing as humans.

So this is supposed to be a continuation of a book one however I do not think that it is. I do believe this is supposed to be a standalone book that is part of the world of the series...?

I did enjoy Mabel when she was actually learning more about herself. I honestly didn't know what the premises was aside from other aliens of her species coming to Earth to take over. There was no real story building, world building, and no real information. There was a scene with her mom but yet that didn't get explored more.

I didn't understand the ending of the story either. I feel like this could have been a really good story if there was more details involved. The lack of details made the story really, really flat for me.
