Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.
Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.
He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.
Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.
The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.
He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.
Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.
By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.
This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.
When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.
Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.
Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.
Since my very first reading of author Remington Kane’s “Tanner Series” I’ve been hooked. I’ve never read one I would rate less than 5 Stars. The series is simply phenomenal.
Another thing I like about this author is that he strongly supports the Kindle Unlimited Program and I subscribe to it. Thank you for that Mr. Kane.
If you are, as I am, a fan of the genre, especially those dealing with Vigilante Justice, Organized Crime, and Assassinations the to you I HIGHLY recommend this book.
The book is gripping, and smoothly read. It flows, error free, from the first sentence to the last. If you’re looking for something new and you’ve never read Remington Kane in the past, my advise is to begin at the beginning with book one. Though this can be read as a standalone, trust me, you’ll enjoy it more if you do.
“The Hits Just Keep on Coming!” . . . for Tanner and the readers of this amazing series. In book #30 the tables are turned as Tanner goes into protection mode when his father-in-law becomes the target of a wave of hit men (and women). Sara’s dad, lawyer Warren Blake, is not able to get a “not guilty” verdict for his evil, murdering client, who then blames the attorney. Tanner becomes the primary defender, but, as usual, the best form of defense is a strong offense, and none are strong as Tanner. An excellent change of pace!
Just when you think there's nothing new the author can come up with he does. Tanned ends up protecting Sara*s dad from killers border by an angry client of his. Upset that Blake was unable to get him off for a double homicide he committed he starts hiring assassins to take out the judge, jury, and his attorney. Needless to say this creates some hairy situations for Tanner. As usual the author does not disappoint.
Its always nice to met a fellow professional and has pride in who and what he's about. The story is about Tanners father in law and this was especially a treat. We get to see this character somewhat humble themselves once he finds out exactly what kind of man his daughter married. Also we get quite a few laughs along the way and they are some good ones. The writing was always fresh and full of action.
I love the Tanner series. The inly thing lacking is Whispersync. This series really need the audio companion! I don’t like stopping but more importantly, I would listen yo this series over and over if it had audio. Adventurous, thrilling and suspenseful- all in one read. Recommended.
A good thriller that has Tanner tasked with keeping his father in law alive from assassin’s sent to murder him because he failed to keep him from conviction and prison on a murder charge. Fast moving storyline with hints of love, betrayal, and imaginative assassin’s which keep Tanner on his toes albeit with the assistance of a four legged friend.
Another action packed read from start to finish Tanner outwits the people trying to kill his father in Law and does an excellent job as his senses of danger are always alert and also makes a new friend !!
Another great Tanner book. God I love this series and devour ever book the day I buy it. I hope Remington Kane lives to be over 100 and continues writing every day of his life!!
Tanner is my favorite book boyfriend, any time I need to read something fast paced and need to cheer for someone I read a Remington Kane book. I would love to see some type of reunion with the Mr. White, I miss them.
A e read every one in this series, all fun, exciting and action packed. Wish Kane could write them faster. So hard to find great story tellers. Also wish there were more Taken stories coming.
This Author has put some himself, love the Tanner books and this one was no exception. So good and exciting did not want it to end. I rescind this book so highly, not enough words . Thank you Remington Kane.
Another good Tanner tale with one major difference that he protected from assassins, rather than did the assassination. Interesting introduction of Japanese assassin as a friend should lead to interesting story in the future.
Tanner 7 is now protecting his father-in-law defence attorney Blake from being assassinated from a former client who is putting out contracts to kill him .
The whole " Tanner" series is AWESOME! A fun-filled joy ride of action! R. Kane stays true to the spirit of the many different characters in the various stories. I am a fan for life.
Tanner fans will love this. Brings another side of Mr. Kane’s amazing character. Being a protector instead of hunter. You will not regret reading this.
The title of this book says it all. Tanner must protect his father-in-law from multiple assasins. This is a different view of Tanner but equally enjoyable.
