हज़ारों ख़्वाहिशें, इश्क़ और इंक़लाब की एक हैरत अंगेज़ दास्तान है। एक तरह का मॉडर्न एपिक, जिसमें अल्हड़-सी मोहब्बत है, इंक़लाब के शोले हैं, लेफ़्ट-राइट का झमेला है, 90s का नॉस्टैल्जिया है, राजनीतिक बहसबाज़ी है और उन सबके बीच है कास्ट पॉलिटिक्स की धमक। यह उपन्यास मुखर्जी नगर में IAS की तैयारी कर रहे दोस्तों की कहानी ही नहीं कहता, बल्कि आईएएस बनने के पीछे की सोच, आईएएस बनने के लिए दी जाने वाली क़ुर्बानी और तैयारी के बीच की फ्रस्ट्रेशन भी बयाँ करता है। अपन ख़्वाहिशों के लिए जी-जान लगा देने वाले नौजवान इस कहानी के पात्र हैं, जो दिल्ली को और उसकी पॉलिटिक्स को अपनी नज़र से देखते हैं। ये पात्र देश में घटित घटनाओं से प्रभावित होते हैं और उसी के साथ कहानी नये मोड़ लेती रहती है। इन सबके साथ बहुत से फ़िल्मी और साहित्यिक रेफ़रेंस पॉइंट्स भी इस कहानी में शामिल हैं, जो कहानी को न सिर्फ़ मनोरंजक बनाते हैं, बल्कि नये आयाम भी देते हैं। यह हिंदी लेखन में एक नये तरह का एक्सपेरिमेंट है। कहानी के भीतर ढेर सारी परते हैं। कहीं सेल्फ़ रिफ्रेंशियेलिटी, कहीं पोस्ट मॉडरनिस्म, तो कहीं कॉफ़्किस्क एलीमेंट। पर सबसे आकर्षित करने वाली बात है, इस कहानी का फ़िल्मी अंदाज़ में कहा जाना।.

Damn!! This novel has got everything to make it interesting to read. Reading a Hindi novel is a very different feeling as I find it very relatable. This book is such a lovely story of two people who meet by destiny and get separated by destiny also. It’s a story of burning desires and dreams. Political and literary conversations are portrayed very well in this novel. The writer has used quotes by famous poets very beautifully.
Life of IAS aspirants is well depicted. Use of Hindi song lyrics is often used and many 90’s references are shown. Whole time novel made me engaged with its plot. I found the first half very cute as it showed how much struggle is faced by a middle-class boy in between establishing his personal and educational situations. And the second part is about maintaining those relationships. Title suits the novel very well, reader gets it after reading whole book.
The book ends but not the story. I’m saying this because some stories are meant to be left unwritten, they can’t be given any conclusion, rather they are better with an open ending. I personally enjoyed this novel very much. Language is easy to understand and this is a must read novel for everyone.

हजारों ख्वाहिशें पुस्तक बहुत ही मजेदार है ,आपको ख़ुशी देगी रोमांचित भी करेगी आपके सरल शब्दों से बने वाक्यों में गहराई है, जिसने मुझे काफी प्रभावित किया, हज़ारों ख़्वाहिशें, इश्क़ और इंक़लाब की एक बहुत ही खूबसूरत दास्तान है, किस तरह से आप एक अनजान शहर को जीने लगते हैं और शहर भी आपको धीरे-धीरे अपनाने लगता है, ये वाकई में दिलचस्प है।
गाँव-क़स्बे-शहर के युवा मन में बड़ा सपना लिए, करियर की राह पर निकल पड़ते हैं, पर ये राह इतनी सीधी और सपाट नहीं होती। दिल्ली, मसूरी, बनारस की कहानी के साथ साथ कनॉट प्लेस और मुख़र्जी नगर की कहानी आपको बहुत अच्छी लगेगी साथ में बहुत सारी इतिहास की जानकारियां भी मिली।
मै पढ़ते समय किरदारों में इतना घुस गया कि मुझे पता ही नहीं चला यह फिक्शन है पेशे से डॉक्टर राहुल चावला की हिन्द युग्म प्रकाशन से आई उपन्यास " हजारों ख़्वाहिशें " पढ़ते हुए लगता है कि आप किताब को पढ़ने से साथ साथ जी भी रहे हैं कई बार ऐसा लगेगा कि कोई ये कहानी आपको सुना रहा है ।
डॉक्टर चावला आपको अपनी कहानियों के जरिए आपको इश्क़ और जीवन के अलग दौर में ले जाएंगे ख़्वाहिशें है कि ख़त्म नहीं होती। एक शानदार प्रेम कहानी लेकिन दुखद अंत ,जरूर पढ़े धन्यवाद आपकी इस किताब के लिए। बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं आपको ऐसे ही लिखते रहें आप।

Superb narrative of heartbroken love story
Firstly I want to say this is very enjoyable and engaging love journey which is starts with the smart set and end with heroic moments.
Seecond is it has a combination of college life ,their political development , the struggle of IAS aspirants , cast system for love marriage, and many more beautiful moments which is very enjoyable.
Third is I like most the way of narration of this book which is I pushed to complete it in first read.

All I can say about this book is "Stupendo Fantabulously Fantastical". I am in middle of my reading but couldn't resist myself from reviewing such a wonder piece of writing. I am too much into this book that I can visualize the character and the whole story. Romance, Revolution, Dedication -- still don't know the end . I will complete the review once I am done with the reading.

I absolutely loved the novel. I loved the characters and their innocence. The way the story unfolded,it felt like I was watching a film. It's an easy read, even the people who are not much into Hindi literature, should give it a shot. Hazaaron Khwaahishein is a true gem that kept me hooked with its charm.

Pure and heartfelt
While reading this book, I felt as if I were right there, not merely observing but experiencing everything. Upon finishing it, I had this sense that I would never truly be able to leave.

It was my 1st Hindi novel and I loved it... such an interesting journey following love and the current political upheaval... a must read it is.... 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
