This book was hard to keep up with. So much going on and not at school either. Actually, Hannaford Prep was just a sparse back drop in this finale. This book was all about blood, gore, death and a lot of sex. All the loose threads are tied in neat bows. The very ending I didn’t expect but it was a welcome addition. I just felt the author lost it a bit in this book. It was grisly at times, not that I minded, but the characters just seemed a lot older than they were and it didn’t read like their actions were natural. It just went into this huge bloodbath with kids up against hardcore mobsters, it just lost its already thin thread on reality and plausibility.

I struggled to finish this one. It took weeks in fact just to convince myself to finish it because I just had to find out who Lip’s father was.

The first three quarters of the book were painfully repetitive... Eat French Toast, Have sex, Kill, repeat. The book dragged on and it was quite a disconnect from the previous books. I really struggled to suspend my belief of reality this time around because it all seemed extremely far fetched. School became a none factor and all the students became hive-minded sheep scared of their own damn reflections.

Since the school setting stopped being relevant I feel like the characters could’ve been older. 15/16 year old serial killers is very difficult to wrap my head around even though I tried hard to disconnect from reality.

A couple things irritated the hell out of me in this book but the main culprit was Lip’s inconsistent behaviour. One minute she’s being portrayed like a frail grandma needing the boys to help her get into cars, helping her stand up and stay upright, and the next minute she has the strength of an Ox and can gut any grown man who looks at her the wrong way. I needed consistency to make it more believable.

Another irritation was the constant tug of war the guys had over her. Their relationship didn’t seem very cohesive. Blaise was a conveniently added extra in this ‘harem’ and he didn’t have as much attention as Ash and Harley. I felt bad for the poor side-dish.

My last gripe is the fact that Lips wasn’t the one to end Matteo. Ugh. Disappointing.

My rating is 1.5 stars rounded up because the Morningstar twist was pretty interesting.

This was bad, so badddddd. Ughhh fuck why do the authors destroy books trying to stretch the already vain stories into whole ass extra 500 pages. What a waste of time, this was so fuckin repetitive that I could actually predict the next time somebody is making Lips a French toast which she blushes for (and for dicks too). I had to skip shit past 50% cause it was just plain nothing. The books gradually got worst and felt more like if somebody was documenting mundane chores ( even the smut couldn’t save it ) !

4.5✨ this ending… just wow

shit goes absolutely fucking insane in the last 30% of this book. and that’s saying something considering the entire series is fucked. and i’ve loved every moment of it. this series is so underrated and amazing. the slow burn is sooo slow but you don’t even care cause the enemies to lovers and bully is done so well. the plot is amazing and addictive.

the way this family just knows each other on such an innate level. they know and understand each other to an extraordinary degree. the know what a look means. the squeeze of a hand. the nod of a head. it’s just so incredible. the love these people share is everything. the way the guys share lips is also everything 👀 but serious this book was full of bloodshed and chaos and emotions and danger and trepidation and i absolutely love how the loose ends tied up so nicely. the family. the way it expanded and grew and is the most cherished thing ever. beautiful. to the end.

i’m devastated it’s over and i would die for more but i have no complaints with this series. the twists in this are just incredible. i can’t wait for avery’s now and how things turn out with her and i just hope & wish we see more of lips and her guys in it (which i’m sure we will).

”We’re firmly a stab-first family going forward.”

“I’ve never wanted to keep someone before. I’ve never wanted someone like I want you. I get it, I don’t want to think about someone else touching you either, but you’re mine. I promise you no one else will ever fucking touch me again.”

“I want everything with you.”

“You all made this entire fucked up life of mine… worth it.”

4.5⭐️ I really truly loved this series. Such a great ending to a great story. The twists at the end had me gasping. This book was all about the blood. To the end. I love how everything turned out and I wish there was more. All the loose ends tied up neatly. These characters clung to me and I loved the dynamic of this family. Lips and her guys are everything. Harley will always be my favourite and Ash will always be my menace. Illi was amazing throughout. I cannot wait to read Avery’s story next!

goddamn it, I was rooting for this series so muchhhh. I'm going to make the review for this book alone first and then I'll review the whole series.

‧͙⁺˚*To The End review*˚⁺‧͙

Things I liked: more description on the murders, we didn't get that in the others. Illy, love him. The whole plot twist at the end and Poe, yesss loved that. Also, the reunions between the Twelve always entertained me. Sex scenes, we get so much more than the others.

Thing I didn't like: How they made my man Blaise a commodity. I'm so fcking mad. There were moments where it seemed Ash was endgame, like???? How dare you pick favorites?!?! As much as I love and admire Lips, I was upset with her here cause she just wasn't the Wolf we met before. In the last book she had soften, but I liked it cause she still was THE Wolf, but here it wasn't that. The whole conflict was very anticlimactic. EVERYTHING was in the conflict. From how the thing exploded, to how it proceeded, to who did the killing and who died. The beginning and the half of this book was dragged, repetitive and tedious, I had trouble staying in the story. That didn't happen to me in the others. There were A LOT of loose threads, it opened a few more series and books, but wth I would've wanted a closure for more things.

What's going to happen to the Twelve??
Harley's uncle??
Avery?? Love triangle or MHM? I'll probably read her book cause I'm curious AS FUCK.

I'm disappointed with how it ended, the first three were SO MUCH BETTER.

‧͙⁺˚*Hannaford Prep series review*˚⁺‧͙

I LOVED the first three books. I thought this was going to be like another boarding school bully reverse harem story, but NOPE. We got gangs, criminal organization and a killer heroine. I absolutely ADORED the development between the whole family. The 2nd book is where the family really connect and I loved it.

As the book advance we got Illy, Coyote, Violet, Atticus, Stag, Boar, Morningstar and a bunch of other characters that I loved. The world building was awesome and I was captivated the whole time.
It failed to deliver in the last book, but the first three were pretty good. Harley, Ash and Blaise were great, but they became a bit annoying. They didn't let Lips do anything like ??? she is literally a killer. Also, the author do my boys dirty at the end, picking favorites, fuck that.

Honestly, the worst part of it all was that they were 15 at the beginning and 18 at the end. It was hard to believe but I just imagined them older the whole time and it was all better.

Overall, I enjoyed it a lot and loved the whole plot. I had a great time!!!

4.5⭐️

I devoured this series. I loved Lips, Avery, the boys & all their found family 🥰 So pleased that the story will continue with Avery's/The Butcher's books!

Check the TWs, it's dark and spicy.

The Audible version was well narrated though it could have been better with dual narrators.

BUT I *really* wish that the series wasn't based in HS. I feel like we wouldn't have lost anything by it being based at College. It wasn't so bad for Lips and the boys because they're all the same age, and the slow burn took long enough that they were not indecently young by the time any spice happened... but the Crow and the Coyote are sussssss...

I don’t really know

Idk what happened to this series. I was SO hyped up about it after book 1. I gave it a very excitatory review. I’m honestly disappointed in where this went.

In the beginning Lips was a strong willed alpha female lead. Around book 3 I feel like she just became too passive. I understand the boys were her family at that point, but in public and especially at club meetings she shouldn’t have allowed them to break protocol, snap back at the other members of twelve, and stand in front of her the way they did. Let them be alpha in the bedroom and even at school, sure, but outside of it.. dealing with her past... she should have insisted she was boss. She inducted them... she WAS boss. She could have allowed some leeway of course because she trusted their judgement, but I think her “Wolf” persona faded out too much.

Another thing.. I’m really confused as to why we only got a few pages at the beginning of books 2-4 of each guys perspective. What was the point if we were never gonna be in their heads again?!?

Also.. I have SOOOOOOOO many questions left unanswered...
- Harley’s uncle.. where is he? What are they gonna do about him?
- what happened to Avery and Harley’s cousin when they were with the Jackle?
- what happens with Avery and Atticus?
- what about Poe and her story?
- Nate???
- what about twelve?? Another member is dead. Are they gonna hold the Game? Are they doing away with it all together??

It’s maddening to be THAT sucked in to a story line and then left hanging with so many questions.

I feel like so many things were left unsatisfied. I know there’s a Butcher series with one book out already, but if the author plans on getting to all these unsatisfied plot lines.. that should be stated at the end of the book. “stay tuned for....”. As of right now this is all we’ve got.

I mean the book ended with Harley taking Avery to go see his cousin in the hospital.... I feel like it ended in the middle of a thought.

I’m even more frustrated now.

holy shit what a good damn book it was! i really felt that i wanted to give my first 5 star this year. I rarely give out 5 stars or even 4, but i feel that this book deserved those stars. From the start i litterly hated it, but with time i started to really like this series and now this is the last book and the end. I will for sure reread it to see these fierce loveable characters again. i love how gory and bloody it was, i hate when some books say it´s gonna be bloody and stuff but it does not prove it when you read the book. But this book does not hold back on anything , killers, love, money, blood, gore, body parts and family you get it all in this satisfying ending

4.75 stars for the conclusion of this series

I don’t even know how to start my review. So much happened in this book, so much was revealed, and we meet a bunch of new characters.

So it’s now the senior year of all the main characters we have been following since book one, Lips, the three boys, and Avery. There is so much going on outside of Hannaford Prep... so much that is affecting the real lives of these high school senior students. There is the danger of the Jackal, Senior, and all the random people that are siding with Jackal. Lips takes on the task of protecting Avery and the boys, even though the boys can handle themselves. Illi is such an amazing character to have, being faithful and willing to do anything to protect the Wolf (I need to read Butcher of the Bay!). Heads continue to appear, and Lips has no idea who is sending it to her. All we know is that it’s someone that is avenging the bad things that she went through and continues to go through. We find out a lot of key important details that relate to her past and pave way to other series branching out from this one.

Let’s talk about the intimate scenes. Finally👏🏻FINALLY👏🏻 we get some good ones! It only took 4 books into the series 😏😒. I love that we get smexy scenes with each individual character first and then we “graduate” to ménage ones. Um... this is RH... I expected there to be scenes with all 4 of them. But alas, and very sadly, we don’t get any 😒😐😑. The ones we got though... oh dear lord... jeeezus 🥵🔥💦👀😅. I mean... it seemed as if books 1-3 were foreplay leading up to the climax 😉 (this book). I was here for it all👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Get yours Lips!!! GET YOURS👀.

The scenes towards the end of the book 😱. It was cinematic for sure!!! So many deaths (so many innocent lives) but we get the expected conclusion with the deaths of those needing to die in order for our MCs to live peacefully. The attention to details... even when people were being murdered was good (buuuut... there’s someone’s death I wish we had seen in its entirety 😑... I wouldn’t have minded to see the goriness of it 🤷🏻‍♀️😬).

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! *I deducted 1/4 point for the lack of RH scenes when this is clearly an RH book... and, one of the Hs needed to pull his weight more...but I still cared for him lol. We need a character for comedic relief sometimes 😂😬and one that is on the sensitive side (cause Lips is too much of a bada$$ to be the sensitive one). I also would’ve liked an epilogue. Maybe that’s why I need to read all the other series then lol
⚠️ safety squad⚠️
-no cheating
-no OW drama (there was the implication that there was going to be a cougar among the mix, but that was quickly dissolved...)
-murder/bloody scenes (including another head)

Actions speak louder than words, but I would have given anything for Ash, Blaise and Harley to finally voice the L word.

Not a bad conclusion but a bit disappointing nonetheless. Too much bedroom time and less badass moments in my opinion. I love how they created a family and I love how we discovered so many new faces for future stories but Lips was just the shadow of herself and not nearly as fucking incredible she was in the first two books.

She still owns my heart that she has to share with Avery. I love those two girls to the moon and back and they made Hannaford Prep one of my favorite series ever.

And it’s done. I’m so sad to have ended this series. I know the novella is out with the guys perspective but their story overall is over.

I really enjoyed this last book. I thought going in there was a lot to be done to get to our HEA and there was but I think it was done well. Love this found family and their love and unwavering loyalty to one another.

We are left with quite a few questions still open. I’m assuming we find them out in Avery’s series which is somewhat annoying but I understand.

I do wish we saw the boys confess their feelings. None of them told Lips they love her even though they clearly do so I wish we got that. I saw someone say how Ash seemed endgame and he really did. Blaise wasn’t as prominent either so it felt like there was a slight disconnect in the relationship.

3.5 stars ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆

・ 。゚☆:To The End *.☽ .*:☆゚

⁺₊★·.´🎧✩°。 0:56 ──♡───── 3:32 ⁺₊🎧★·.·´

🎶 'Cause I can see you waitin' down the hall from me. And I could see you up against the wall with me 🎶

Lips (h) is forced to confront the harsh reality that she may never be able to escape the clutches of her enemies. But she's determined to fight for herself and her loved ones, even if it means facing her deepest fears and confronting the monster within.

─── ・ 。゚☆: THOUGHTS*.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

[Harley]

Harley kisses my throat, whispering against my skin, “I’m being selfish this morning. I need you for myself, babe, just for now.”

Harley - the ultimate sweetheart! He's got it bad for Lips, and I mean, who can blame him? What I love about Harley is that he's all about being tuned into Lip's needs. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty to make sure she's safe and happy. And when it comes to being claimed by her, he's all in - he wants to be hers, and he doesn't care if it's a little rough around the edges. He's willing to take that risk just to be with her . But what I also appreciate about Harley is that he's not a one-dimensional character. He's got his own desires and feelings, too. Sometimes, he wants Lips all to himself, and I can totally understand that. The way he felt giddy knowing she loved him too... it was just so sweet. What I appreciate most about Harley is that he's not afraid to be vulnerable and open about his emotions. He wears his heart on his sleeve 💌🤍❣️. His love for Lips is pure and all-consuming, and it's clear that he'll do anything to make her happy.

[Ash]

Ash ignores us all, his eyes locked onto the Jackal. “I read her file, you know. I read every last thing you did to her while you were trying to break her into something you could say was yours. I know every last thing you did, and you are going to feel them all. Every last one of them.”

Ash - the ultimate protector at heart! I just love how his character has developed over time. He's like the rugged, brooding type who has a soft spot for Lip and would do anything to keep her safe. I think it's amazing how he's learned to embrace his more intense side, especially given his traumatic past with his family 🎀🤍. It's like he's found a way to channel his energies into protecting the people he loves, and Lips is definitely the center of that universe. I love how Ash has evolved from this one-dimensional, rough-around-the-edges character to a fully-fleshed-out person with depth and complexity. He's still got that bad-boy vibe going on, but now he's also got a heart of gold and a deep sense of loyalty. It's so sweet how he wants to protect Lips from harm, even when she's capable of taking care of herself. He knows she can kick butt on her own, but he also knows that having someone in her corner can make all the difference. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to be protected by someone as intense and passionate as Ash? I'm so glad to see Ash grow as a character and become an integral part of the group 💌🤍❣️. He knows that she doesn't need him to save her all the time, but he likes knowing that he can be there if she needs him to. And I love that about him – his willingness to balance his protective instincts with a deep respect for Lips's autonomy. He knows that Lips is strong enough to fight her own battles, but he also knows that she shouldn't have to do it alone. His willingness to be there for her, to offer support and comfort, is a testament to the depth of his love for her.

[Blaise]

Blaise often felt like an outsider in their relationship. Despite his efforts to fit in, he was frequently left out of group activities and shared moments with Harley, Ash, and Lips. His good-natured teasing about being excluded from the fun was laced with a hint of sadness and frustration. Blaise's personality was centered around his passion for music, his love of touring with his band, and his dedication to his studies 💕💞🎀. He was a calming influence on the group, often serving as a voice of reason in times of turmoil. However, his upbringing had not been easy - he had struggled with the consequences of having troubled parents, which had led to him developing an unhealthy reliance on alcohol as a coping mechanism. Despite these challenges, Blaise remained committed to his relationships with Harley, Ash, and Lips. He longed to be included in their inner circle and to feel like he was an integral part of their bond. But as the stakes grew higher and the group faced increasing danger, Blaise's insecurities began to surface. To be honest, I was often bored with his character. He seemed to be missing a certain depth and development that the other characters had. His personality was nice, don't get me wrong - he was sweet and caring - but it felt like we didn't really get to see much beyond that.

I think part of the problem was that he was often excluded from group activities and shared moments with Lips, Harley, and Ash. It was like he was an extra in the romance, rather than a fully fleshed-out character. And when he did get some spotlight time, it felt like it was just to fulfill some obligatory plot point rather than to really explore his character. I think Blaise had the potential to be a really interesting and complex character, but unfortunately, he fell a bit flat for me.

[Nate - The Devil (HER BROTHER)]

“One look at you and I knew I’d kill for you too. You’re different to Poe, more guarded and cynical, but if anything, that proves you’re my blood.”

“I’d like to have a brother. And I’d love to meet Poe. I’d… love for you to meet my family too.”

Oh my gosh, that plot twist was EVERYTHING and more! I'm still reeling from the revelation that Lips's secret psychotic brother was actually looking out for her the whole time. I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out - it's actually kind of sweet? Like, he's unhinged, but in a way that's relatable to Lip's own psyche 💕💞🎀. It's like, he's the dark mirror to her own soul or something. Like, it's this huge red flag, but at the same time, it's also this intense level of devotion and protection. I mean, who wouldn't want someone watching over them like that? (Okay, maybe not literally being stalked and killed by serial killers, but you get the idea)🎀🤍. I'm kinda glad we didn't meet him sooner. Like, if we had met him earlier in the series, maybe things would have gone down differently and we wouldn't have gotten to see all the drama and angst that unfolded. So, in a weird way, I'm actually kind of grateful for the delayed reveal.

─── ・ 。゚☆: OVERALL *.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

The ending was so satisfying and hopeful. I loved how it left room for interpretation and speculation about what's to come, but also provided a sense of closure and resolution for the characters. I think it's amazing that they were all still figuring life out together, as a family, really. It's like they're finally getting to experience the world without the weight of their dark pasts holding them back. And yeah, there will always be enemies lurking, but for now, they've got each other 💕💞🎀.

“My family was worth it all”

5/5⭐️
2/3🔥

Wow wow wow. Hannaford prep has been a RIDE. When I started this series reading a high school bully romance I really had no idea where it would take me and I really did not expect how the series ended up. The characters absolutely made this, Lips, Harley, Ash, Blaise, AVERY. And all the others. This was such a unique plot that took me down so many twists and turns I had no idea where the craziness would lead me next. I’m so happy to have discovered these characters and gone on this wild journey with them.

P.S- Avery for world domination, I love that bitch.

I really wanted to give this 5 stars, trust me, I really do, but a lot of things fell short in this final book.

Things that fell short
1. The romance. It irks me a lot when there’s an unbalanced harem, and this is one of those. I love Harley, but it’s usually him than the other 2. I feel like J. Bree had such a hard time juggling 3 love interests so I think she should’ve stuck with mfm or fm romance. Also how can Lips say I love you to all the guys and none of them say it back? Yeah it’s implied but it would’ve been sweet. Also, I thought Lips would have the hesitation seeing as she hasn’t loved anyone before but well,., Theres a lot of sex in this book but there’s little advancement in the sweet romance side.

2. Ending was not really an ending. It felt like a cliffhanger. After finishing the book I felt like the author left me hanging and wanting more, which for a series finale, is extremely disappointing. It’s a cliffhanger not in terms of the mystery (because they uncovered all the mysteries and questions so far), but a cliffhanger in terms of relationships:
a. I wish Lips had more interactions (as friends) with Coyote, Crow, and Stag but nada
b. I wish there were scenes where Lips got to know Nate and Poe more ( as in more than the 1st meeting, and where they build their sibling hood), but there’s none

3. Ash and Avery fought so much I felt these were filler scenes. There’s a lot more filler scenes in school which I found unnecessary and could’ve been removed to give way to more important events

4. The way the Jackal was killed was disappointing. I don’t know if it’s because it’s hyped so much since the 1st book or what, but I found it lacking.

5. I love J. Bree’s writing, but aside from the minor grammar and spelling errors, I found it annoying when a lot things were implied. For example, the tongues the Jackal put up on the gates were a retaliation for what?? And when Lips and Ash went for a hit, that’s a retaliation for what?? The reasons for these seem implied and it’s hard to follow because the structure is : event/reason > filler scenes > payback/retaliation. Also what was the point of Avery’s press conference?? That seemed so random. There’s a lot of filler scenes made me so confused, and I’m annoyed these filler scenes didn’t even do anything to advance Lip’s relationship, the only thing they advanced was their sex life.

Something commendable was the thrill/mystery behind the plot throughout the series. It kept me on my toes and had me binge-read it, but the final book was disappointing and could’ve been improved.

Edit: I found out that Lips is still present in Queen Crow and that there’ll be another book for the world tour and Nate, so I think Lip’s story would get better over these books. I wished for a closure in To the End, but seeing as this series is part of a bigger world, I now understand why it was cliffhanger-y. My point still stands though since Lips won’t be the main focus of other books.

Edit #2: I didn’t enjoy/finish reading the Queen Crow trilogy so I dont think I would be able to continue on to read the Tour books, especially since all events are interconnected. I really hate series done this way, as in I’m forced to read books with different main characters (Avery) I don’t even enjoy. So I guess my journey with Lips ends here. Too bad really, I would’ve enjoyed it if the sequel had Lips as the main character, not Avery

“We’re firmly a stab-first family going forward.”

Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
Does it have to be over? I really don’t want this series to be over. The ending was perfection, perfectly plotted perfection. This last novel hit so many different emotions because it was twist, after twist, after twist. My face experienced so much in this novel; tear brimmed eyes, a vile smirk, a clenched jaw, and finally, a huge fucking smile. This final novel was *chefs kiss*, everything about it was right up my alley in everything I wanted for these characters. The actions was jam packed, like seriously, I had no idea what to expect with all these events and characters. It was all so secretive and criminal. I LOVED IT. I also don’t want to sound crazy or nothing, but I’d switch lives with Lips in a heartbeat😂🔥

My heart is full with the characters in this novel. Usually side characters don’t gather much depth in novels, but each character in this novel had so much to contribute to the story line. If this would have been a single female and male novel, it would not have had the same “oomph” as it did with the reverse harem and family bond that happened between the characters. Each character played a significant role in this story. I give major credit to J. Bree for writing such complex characters in such an exquisite manner. Sometimes the characters can just blend into one because of all the personalities being hard to distribute, but this series was done superbly.

As sad as I am to have this series be over. Avery’s story is only beginning and I hope I will get to see more of the gang in her series which has the first book out already!

This series is now in my top for the year. I know we have months left to the year, but I see this novel sitting along side me for the rest of the year because that’s how great I found it. Absolutely perfection.

I would rate this novel 5-gruesome-stars🩸
