Happiness The Second Time Around

This was really written for our daughter Eileen Marie Lamontagne in Pas, Manitoba who had recently lost her husband Gus to that dreadful cancer. I so wanted to do something special for her. I prayed for the Lord to show me a way, but no answer was forthcoming until one night I awoke with a start and floating in my head was "Give her yourself." It then took several nights of pondering to realize what myself would be yet it was right there so plain to see. I had to write my memoirs for her, and simply put life on paper. Next morning I went to my best friend and advisor my husband Eb and said "I know now what I can do for Eileen." So I wrote almost steadily for the next six months, and had a volume sitting on her lap for her 61st. birthday on March 15, 1995. When I started I had no idea what I would say but once I started my hand couldn't write fast enough as my whole life floated before me. Things I rarely thought about came tumbling out, even to the times my world fell off its axis. Had it not been for this dear wonderful man of mine who made meals, shopped, vacuumed and just let me write hour after hour, day after day. So I totally dedicate this book to him. "Love that man." I could write a book on Eb's and my life alone. It has been such a great marriage, full of fun, love and laughter. We are so proud of our children and hope we have set an example for them. We have had four great son-in-laws which have been very important to us as we entrusted our daughters to their love and caring. Who could ask for more from life. Eb has always been so good to me and for me, especially with my heart problems. He shows his love every day by trying to ease my work loadm and believe me it is not easyfor him to slow this go getter down. Enjoy.
