“Robert Irvine is the Indiana Jones of chefs.” —Bobby Flay With Impossible to Easy, Robert Irvine, the host of Food Network’s Dinner: Impossible and co-author of Mission: Cook, shows busy people how to keep food simple but delicious. Impossible to Easy offers a wealth of tips, sample menus, and “111 Recipes to Help You Put Great Meals on the Table Every Day.”
Impossible to Easy is a wonderful book, and so much more than just a collection of recipes. I have never read the introduction to a cookbook before, but I read this one, and I'm glad I did. It is inspirational, almost profound, yet surprisingly warm and friendly. In just a few short pages, I felt a connection with Chef Irvine, and a respect for him, which made me eager to receive all of the instruction that he offers in this volume. The chef is a gifted teacher, and generously shares his expertise and experience. Each section of the book (stews, proteins, vegetables, etc.) is prefaced with pages of text which contain so much useful information and so many practical tips that I think they are more valuable than the recipes themselves, and that's saying something. The recipes are spectacular! I've made 4 in the past 2 weeks. I plan to try almost every one.
Sound cooking advice, etc. Love 'Dinner Impossible', so gave the book a shot. Read on Nook, so not the greatest platform for looking at/attempting recipes.
I love Robert and all his shows. I enjoyed this cookbook for the recipes and stories. Would love to have seen more pictures of the completed dishes otherwise, nicely done.
