I loved reading this book each day of December to prepare my heart for Christmas. I look forward to reading it again next year! (I didn't get to start on time, as I ordered it after December had started.) This book is well written and has deep spiritual viewpoints which caused me to pause and consider the Deity of Christ. I enjoyed the different themes of worship and preparing for the Messiah in the different prayers. Prayers are written for both morning and evening times.

Love this. A fantastic, encouraging way to focus on Christ and meditate on who He is through this busiest season. The prayers are beautiful but unselfconscious in the way they've shifted my eyes toward Jesus and led me to depend on Him to call me into deeper communion with Him. A definite recommend.

I really enjoyed this Advent pray book/devotion. It covers all 31 days of December, which was really nice to continue readings moving toward the new year. Also, each day has a morning and evening reading. Some days there was a "Thought for the Day" to carry with you through the day. I really enjoy JKD's insights and heartfelt reflections. They are meaningful and poignant for an Advent prayer book.

A friend gave me this December devotional 10 years ago and I return to it every December. And each year it teaches me something new. This little book makes the true meaning of Christmas become real, and brings a feeling of peace to what can easily become a hectic, stress filled month. I highly recommend!
