Cressi Harris is happy she moved fro NYC to sleepy Seascape Cove. She has a thriving restaurant and some very good employees, including her old friend Millicent.
Some of those employees want Cressi to open a bakery, because Millicent’s breads and pastries are pure deliciousness. Other staff members think Cressi should open a Cooking School, because the food at The Dockside Cafe is inspiring...
Cressi’s solution? With Milli’s help, she’ll open both, and to keep her star baker happy, she adds a bistro to the bakery so Milli can serve Afternoon Tea to the bachelors of Seascape Cove – one bachelor in particular!
Everybody’s happy.
Well, not quite everybody...somebody doesn’t like either the bakery or Milli, and Trent Marlow, Seascape Cove’s Police Chief, isn’t sure which...
But he’s on the case, and that particular bachelor, Michael, is determined nobody hurts Milli. He even calls in his eagle-eyed friend Kevin for a consultation!
There’s plenty of action to keep you glued to the pages of Book Five of The Seascape Cove Cozy Mysteries.
Cressi expands the restaurant by adding a bakery and a cooking school. They both get off to a great start and business is booming. She is short staffed and hires a new baker who turns out to be a problem. From there the problems start and the intrigue begins. Lots of twists and turns with many surprises. A fun read.
A restaurant owner and a baker are harassed by an arrogant jerk who thinks he can do it better. Justice is served when he finally gets arrested for his crimes.
This is a very enjoyable cozy mystery. Great characters and well written. An arrogant jerk who thinks he knows more than anyone else gets his comeuppance in the end.
Another great entry in the Seascape Cove series of books. Graham strikes again but the good guys win in the end. Look forward to the next book in the series.
I was hooked the moment I started reading this book. No murder took place and yet very entertaining and great characters. Mischief never pays and Graham found that out the hard way.
Binge reading this series has made for a fun reading day for my weekend. I really enjoy the characters and their family, friends, and romantic relationships. A fun and easy read.
