Mose Washington and his "grandson,"
Bill, are still on the lam in
1968 after fleeing Cat Lake where
Bill's mom was brutally slayed
years earlier. Hiding out under
assumed names, Bill is enrolled at
North Texas State University and
learning to ride bulls, while Mose
continues to protect Bill from the
evil he knows hunts them incessantly.
When a dangerous and
determined assassin hired by
an enemy closes in, Bill"s faith is
challenged to a point where even
Mose's devoted guidance can't seem to save him. What
was once just part of a bedtime prayer becomes an all too-
real consideration for both AND IF I DIE?

I just finished this book three and have found each one better than the last. Can't wait for book 4 and following to come out! Anderson weaves an intriguing spiritual warfare with memorable characters and descriptive scenes you'll never forget. I cannot recommend these books highly enough. What a wonderful, gifted writer to share his work and bring glory to our Savior, Jesus Christ!

I am 60+ yrs old and still have vivid pictures in my mind from scenes I recall in To Kill a Mockingbird, one of my favorite all-time books from my youth. Anderson's books have given me the same experience. They are memorable.

In the past, I confess I've glibly put down a lot of Christian fiction as "fluff". Most of my reading is Christian non-fiction. How thankful I am that John Aubrey Anderson has dispelled my arrogant notions regarding Christian fiction. I have repented. God is still working on me and I thank Him for using Anderson's work to make me think and evaluate what I am doing each day to tell others of Christ.

Once again a great book. I hope this isn't the last because if it is though I'd have a big problem with the ending. But judging from the previous two books' endings I'd say there should be another installment.

Last of the Black and White Chronicles. I met John at a church library conference. He a charming southern gentleman. The setting of the Chronicles is in Mississippi. John grew up in the cotton country of Mississippi. The setting, characters, and the theme will keep you reading and wanting more

again, satan comes in all forms; we must learn to recognize his ways and remain steadfast in our childship with god. we may defeat satan, but he only tries harder to take us away from god.
