2.5 stars. Whats the opposite of character development? Because that’s what this book had.
For starters, this book needs a lot of editing. Grammatically, spelling errors and just too much going on with the plot….
Secondly, I’m not understanding all the abusive language and controlling that’s going on. Tonnii escaped (barely) her ex and ended up running into a man who pretty much stole her kid? He knew about the abuse she suffered and threw it in her face. Nah.
Next, the other man male character, same thing. Why are y’all stealing these women kids? And why are they trusting literal strangers with their kids.
Note to authors: not every book needs to be a series because when y’all make them a series, y’all end up throwing in unnecessary plot twists and turning likable characters into assholes.

Great Read
This book was so good from beginning to end and what a ending. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Well written and flowed really well. I couldn't out it down ....a page-turner. Full of drama, lies, secrets, jealousy and betrayal. Throw in all the twist and turns, kept me wondering what's happening next. The last couple chapters had me on edge and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Great job and well worth the wait Coco Shawnde.

I just KNEW the dead was going to rise… OMG! OMG! This book has TOO much going on…. A lot of Tom foolery lol! Shakir & Menace, two hotheads! I don’t know how Yomi & Tonni will handle them. I don’t know how anything is about to pan out. I’m nervous!

Just Good!
This was the most fun and entertaining story from the beginning right up till the end. The writer brings you in on a rollercoaster and never lets off the gas. I loved the fact that Menace and Shottas are two alpha males that keep it real. These are two male characters that want it there way are you can get the highway. Now I do have just a few things that bothered me,Tonii and Yomi . Why I it so hard to except some help,to better your circumstances. I mean they keep saying they want better. Also can anyone say what they mean and stop acting childish? The women are good matches but I think they stand a little growth. Overall this was just really good writing.Now for a couple of dings,there were some that that came at critical times. There was a point were the story jumped a little and the names of the characters were mixed up. A second or third pair of eyes is so important.But once again let me say this was really good and so waiting on the next installment.

Chile… the editing leaves more to be desired. I’m just here for the storyline at this point. She’s moving the story along kinda fast & I’m feeling like she’s forgetting small things & speeding her timeline without mentioning certain things. Like it’s just supposed to be implied. It was alright book. Menace and Shotta were a bit much to me. The coldness to them and the disrespect was 😳, but I’m glad Yomi & Toni stood up for themselves. I’m not sure if I’ll finish the series, I’m kinda wanting to see how it plays out

Such a good messy time!!! There are so many twist and turns I was not expecting things to happen the way they did! Shotta and Toni lord they stress me out so bad. Yomi and Menace stressing me even more! Definitely wasn’t expecting the twist from them! Looking forward to book 2!

Image meeting your boo while going into labor. Tonii wakes up to find Shottas who she just met has name her baby and claim he the Daddy. Shottas “This baby lazy den a muthafuka. Head just be wobbling and he don’t give no fucks.” 😂😂😂 Shottas and Menace are hilarious. This story had all types of twists and turns.

Hmmm…
I’m so confused by how I feel right now.
On one hand I liked the book no matter how over the time, unrealistic and dramatic it was. It was literally giving hood Soap opera.
But on another hand it’s also why I didn’t like it. Yes I know I’m confused too.
Some of the twists and turns were predictable. For instance I knew her sister was gonna pop back up. Her name kept coming too much throughout the book. And when Yomi said no body was ever found that pretty much confirmed it to me. And I also knew her sister was the one who robbed and attempted to kill Menace. My Shottas he so ignorant but so funny because he be so serious even when you think he’s joking. Toni umm she was okay In definitely annoyed by her back and forth with her and Shottas. And I was definitely blown when she basically protected her ex after he beat her to pulp. And then when pops back up she doesn’t show ANY show of discomfort. Which is odd to me because how does he not trigger you after what he’s done and how could possibly be just chill with him being around your child that he attempted to kill. Yea Yomi don’t make much sense to me but I guess…..
Also the worst part of all is that book needs to be HEAVILY edited. There were too many mistakes which in my opinion takes away from the story.

Patience and Understanding
Tonii went through so much but stayed strong the whole time. Stefon, he didn't deserve her at all! He used his status until he couldn't any longer. Raven needed her behind whipped. Talk about lowdown and grimy. Poor Kiyomi had to deal with all of that stress. Unfortunately, some situations just can't be helped. Menace, oh boy was he a handful but he had his reasons. He could have handled Kiyomi a little different. They're communication wasn't want it could have been. Shottas was the MAN! I loved how he loved his family especially not having been loved growing up.

This book is truly the definition of "s#*t just be happening." 😂 Usually, I like to try to guess what's happening next while reading a book, but with this, I couldn't even guess what was happening next.
From claiming a baby that isn't yours, which is giving off crazy but sweet at the same time. To romantic relationships that obviously want to happen, but ain't nobody budging to make it happen. A secret sister to another sister who wasn't really dead, and she just so happened to be the identical twin and the real mama of the little girl. It was a lot, and guess what?...
I'm heading right on over to book two for the rest of the unthinkable drama!

Wait a minute!!!!
I downloaded this book based off a Tik Tok review and bebe’ I’m so glad I did. From the rip, page 1 this book was serving back to back craziness. Menace is a whole entire mess, but what I love LOVE is Shootas. He could careless when it came to Toni. As soon as she went into labor he was on her behind. True is his baby. He did not give two effs about blood or not. That baby was his.
I was a little disappointed with Menance and Kayomi moves, but understood some things just weren’t adding up. I tells you! I was too shocked at the end. Skipping and running to download book 2 QUICKLY!

Oooohhhhh Wwwweeeeee, this book was FIRE, as I started reading I already saw book two was going to be needed, this is some good reading. The author did that the characters came to life, this book was like watching a movie unfold right before your eyes. I can't wait for book #2 cause this one left my mouth open with drool coming out. If you are looking for a good read this is IT. Ooohhhh and the men in this book Lawd A Mercy I can see them they jumped off the pages...LoL....Anywho this was an EXCELLENT read, waiting patiently for #2, ooohhhh yeahhh it's going to be LIT!!!...LoL

In need part 2 like today
I love how the stories center around my hometown, St. Louis!! Murder and Shottas need to tighten up and realize the good women they have in front of them. Tonii could have handled things different though because there isn't any man that's gonna become an instant father to a child that isn't his and a woman he never met before. Murda is intriguing to me though. Shottas is bae to me just off the strength of how he became an instant father to True. Those last few chapters had me in suspense on what will happen next!! I can't wait for part 2!!

Great read
From start to finish I loved this book. Shotta is crazy but he is bae. Toni lucked up when it comes to him. He didn't know her from a can of paint on the wall but he steeped up when it came to "their" son True. Dude just named her baby like it was okay but from the time he helped deliver True, he stayed true to that little boy. Stefon could have stayed where he was at. He had a rider but chose to crap on her. I feel bad for Yomi because she got caught up in her twin's bs. I know Menace is gonna wreck havoc to save her. On to book 2 I go.

4.5 ⭐️. I started this book based off hearing how unhinged and delulu Shottas was. He met a girl right before she goes into labor. When they get to the hospital she passed out so he took the liberty of naming the baby. That included giving the baby his last name. From there everything was up. Shottas was my type of carrying on when it came to fatherhood. This is book 1 in the series. Ends on a cliffhanger. Multi-pov with his brother Menace and Kyomi. Drama filled. Had me invested. Plot twist. I would recommend.
