When a new generation submarine is going on a test run and gets stuck, Mason, Axel and the rest of his team are called to determine what happened and rescue the crew. When they enter the sub, the situation is not what they expected. Eleven of the crew have been shot dead and one crew member Dr. Ally Minga is found alive. It is easy to see that she would be considered the prime suspect since she was the only crew member alive, but her gunshot wounds told another story. Axel decides it was his job to keep Ally safe and to help clear her name by finding the killer. I really enjoyed reading this story which which I think is another hit in the SEALs of Honor series.

Axel and the boys find themselves in a very different situation when the crime scene that he must investigate takes place on a submarine and with each new detail they discover only makes the sole survivor look that much more guilty.

Escaping the dire situation that Ally found herself in should be a relief however instead it is continuing to escalate. Axel is the only one who believes that she is innocent but as the chemistry escalates between them so does the danger and it becomes a race to find out who is behind it before they claim Ally as their next victim.

Intrigue, surprises and romance all combine into a story you won’t be able to put down.

Fabulous!

Mason and Axel investigate a possible sabotage of a U.S. submarine downed while having the navigation system tested. This story starts out intense with Axel not having any down time from his last mission.

The situation is rough with a downed submarine, low on oxygen, a dead crew and the mystery of who and why. Aside from the immediate physical reaction to the thought of a lack of oxygen, being on the ocean floor and unable to surface under their own power, some people, myself included, would react with a bit of claustrophobia and anxiety. Mason’s SEAL team, however, don’t have that physical or mental reaction, they are SEALS, after all! They thrive in and under the water as well as train for dangerous missions in and around the water, so this little mishap is right in their wheelhouse.

While investigating the troubled sub, Axel and the rescue crew, find the severely injured twelfth crew member, Dr. Ally Minga, whose job it is to test the navigation system on this new sub.
I found this story’s subject matter new and very exciting with it being a crippled submarine, now a crime scene, and it sitting on the ocean floor. Kind of gives me the heebie jeebies to think of being there.

I enjoyed the informal investigation Axel and his partner, Baylor, are doing to find the culprit/murderer and to clear Ally of the murders of her fellow crewmates. It is exciting and fast paced, feeding you all of these mysterious details leading to the person or persons responsible for this crime.

I also loved Axel’s belief in Ally and his concern for her welfare and physical injuries. They also have that physical attraction going for them that spices things up. Thoroughly enjoyed this story!

Axel's latest assignment is to help in an underwater rescue of an experimental submarine that not working and is low on oxygen. When they get there it is nothing like they expected - instead, they find that everyone on the crew is dead except for the one member and those deaths were caused by being shot. The surviving one is badly injured and the big mystery is what happened down there. Allee woke up in a hospital and can barely remember how she got there. She has a very fuzzy memory of what happened onboard and that is not going to help her case when she as the one survivor is the sole focus of the investigation by the authorities. As the investigation turns to her as the cause it gets so much worse when whoever caused it decides that a dead patsy is better than one who can talk. Can Axel keep Allee alive and find out exactly who is to blame for the tragedy onboard the sub?

This was certainly a dramatic story that covered many emotions from danger to revenge and love all in the same story. I liked the way that Axel's protection instincts kicked in for Allee and by working together they then were able to convert that to a relationship and love. Lots of mystery around who was behind the killings and the notice for it which took a fair bit of investigation as well as memories in order to work it all out. Well written and very enjoyable. Contains some sexual content at the end of the story.

This is the 25th book in the Seals of Honour series, each one as good as the last. Although it is a standalone story, having read the previous ones it was like meeting up with old friends.
Axel Salisbury had just returned from a gruelling mission with his navy SEAL leader, Mason but he wasn't to get the rest that he was expecting.
A submarine was trapped on the ocean bed with 12 crew members, eleven men and one woman, on board. It was a smaller top secret sub and was undergoing tests when there was query an on board explosion. What Axel and the team found when they were able to enter the sub was much more sinister, eleven men dead with bullet holes in them and one woman, Dr. Ally Minga, hiding in the ventilation shaft with three gunshot wounds, one badly shattering her femur.
Ally had been testing the sub's navigational system and rectifying faults when the shootings occurred, all she could tell them was that it was not a crew member, someone else must have been hiding on board, and a sketchy outline of his body shape.
As the story unfolds it becomes clear that Ally is being set up as the main suspect but Axel and the team were out to prove her innocence.....someone wanted Ally dead but who and why ?
This is an action packed story, suspenseful and with loads of suspects, even dead ones and of course a blossoming romance between Ally and Axel, Mason's cupid has shot his arrow again.

A downed sub is the focus at the beginning of this book, an SOS had gone out, then nothing. Mason and his team along with others are sent to get the twelve crew members safely off. What they find is not what they expected. Every single member of the crew is dead, shot. What they almost overlooked was the single female of the crew was not among the dead. They find her in the HVAC vent, injured. It's Axel who goes in to get her out and unfortunately it was painful for her. Allee was a very lucky woman.

At the hospital following surgery, Axel questions her and she is adamant that there was someone else on board. Not a crew member and he had a limp. Axel does find evidence of someone boarding the sub and not leaving. However the powers that be have already decided Allee is the traitor. It's up to Axel, Baylor and Mason to prove her innocence.

Bits and pieces are what they are getting they need more. Then Allee has a visitor that scares her.

Axel is working diligently to find the answers and when things go haywire, he also discovers he's falling for Allee. This of course amuses Baylor.

Plenty of twists, turns and action as this tale unfolds along with that simmer to sizzle romance I love.

Axel’s mission is to help rescue a small downed underwater submarine. There are 12 passengers that need to be rescued. When they arrive, they find eleven dead men and one seriously injured woman, Ally.

When Ally wakes up in the hospital, she realizes that she is the major suspect for the downed sub and the eleven deaths. Axel believes in her, especially when someone tries to kill her in the hospital. Since, Ally is unable to stay alone due to her serious injuries, she moves into Axel’s home.

From the beginning, the reader can feel the chemistry Ally and Axle. The bond between the two of them is very strong. As they fight to clear Ally’s name and to keep her alive, Axel and Ally eventually fall in love.

This is one of my favorite books by Dale Mayer. There is a lot of action, adventure, suspense and angst. It is a page-turner that you will not be able to put down.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This book is a fast read in the SEALs of Honor world. Axel teams up with Mason to get to a downed sub. They haven't heard anything from anyone on the sub for several hours. The sub was on a test cruise when things went awry. Ally is the only female on the sub. She is the IT expert and she is found with several injuries. One is a bullet wound so severe that it broke her femur.

The search is on to figure out the who, what and why behind the killing of all the men on the sub. I did enjoy the dual POV format that the book is written in. But like several of the female protagonists, this one was way to whiny for my liking. She is constantly glaring, demanding to be released from the hospital and really just being a sulky child to me. I just really didn't see a connection between these two.

There were some sexy scenes so I would not recommend this to anyone under the age of 18.

Axel's assignment involves a downed submarine with 11 men and 1 woman aboard. Working with someone he had not met before, he and Baylor started a rescue mission. They certainly didn't expect what they found and this started an adventure involving so much more. Dr Ally Minga is the only survivor and as so she is also the primary suspect of the disaster they found. She has been injured involving surgery but the arrow seems to be pointed at her and she may be an easy scapegoat as well. This story includes mystery, family dynamics, danger, attraction and survival. The characters are done well and their interaction adds to the enjoyment. Very compelling and difficult to put down. I really enjoyed the entire story from beginning to end.
The epilogue mentions a story involving Baylor which will be fun--I can't wait!

Another great instalment in the SEAL’s of Honor series with Axel, along with Mason go on a rescue mission to locate a submarine and save the occupants. When they get there the scene is not what they were expecting but they do find one survivor, Allee, who is in rough shape. With no other suspects and one live witness, the military wants to close the case and Allee is the perfect patsy, making her a suspect. Axel does not believe Allee had anything to do with it and when she claims she saw the man responsible in her hospital room, Axel will do anything to prove her innocence and keep her safe.
A great read with some steam, suspense, twists and turns and great characters. I enjoyed some past characters making an appearance and the no drama or miscommunication between Axel and Allee.

Axel is called up with his team to rescue a downed test sub. They don't know what to expect, or what they will find with the crew on board. Sadly what they did find was devastating. But there is one member missing, and Axel remembered that they didn't find the lone female. When everything busted loose Allee hid herself in the ductwork and hoped help would come. Badly injured herself, and with gaps in her memory, she was the perfect target for the Military to place blame on her, for treason, murder and all sorts of charges. But Axel wasn't buying that she was responsible, when she was attacked again in the hospital, he really knew she needed to be protected. With so many gaps in her memory, it took some time. This was probably my favorite out of all of the series. Lots of action, drama and a little love to satisfy!

Wow, this book has a lot of twists and turns especially since the heroine Dr. Ally Minga was the only survivor when the sub she was on suffered an explosion and ended up on the ocean floor. Axel is at a loose end and doesn't really think that Mason's magic will rub off on him, HA! we know better than that. Dr. Ally and Axel hit it off almost immediately and the chemistry is there in the pages. Ally only has Axel as her parents are in Australia and can't really travel to see her but she is friends with Tesla, Mason's wife, and well they need her help if they are going to figure this crazy scheme out. I liked this story as I have all of the stories in this series. This was a fun, fast, and crazy at times story that had me glued to the pages. It's of course always nice to catch up with Mason and some of his crew.

Axel by Dale Mayer
SEALs of Honor Series Book Twenty-Five
Axel Salisbury is a Navy SEAL. When he's sent with a team to find out about a distress signal from a submarine, what they find isn't good. It's more than just the sub ending up on the bottom of the sea after a test run. It's murder.

Dr. Ally Minga can't believe after all she's been through, being shot three times...one of those shots having done quite a bit of damage to her leg...now she's suspected of being behind everything. Luckily, she has someone who believes her and is going to find out the truth.

The magic matchmaking that started with Mason and Tesla in book one of this series has been continuing...including seeping over to Levi's Legendary Security...a friend of theirs.

The Deep

For Axel & Ally the first time they meet could definitely have been under better circumstances.
With Ally being at the bottom of the ocean and Axel coming down to find she's the only member of the crew still alive. Questions start being asked if she could be a traitor, but Axel doesn't think so, something else happened inside that sub but with Ally initially having amnesia they have to wait for her to recover for awhile, at least until after she's kidnapped.
Axel believes her and makes it his mission to protect her.
I Loved this book and Highly Recommend it to Anyone and Everyone who Loves Military Romance, Action and a damn good Story too.

Cheers and Enjoy, l know l did. 👍😏🇦🇺

Intrigue! Axel and Masons crew are rescuing a sub and its crew. Only one member is alive. Ally. She's the only one alive so she has to be responsible for the sabotage of the sub, right? The military wants to close this up quick. Ally is bad shape, in the hospital and Axel is guarding her... things go awry fast. This was a quick read that had some twists and turns which I always appreciate. I wanted to smack that General, and I could see how things could be turned around. This can completely be read as a stand a lone. Thank you for the arc, for the opportunity to read, enjoy and to see Mason again. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

When Axel, Mason, and the rest of the crew check out the downed submarine, the only survivor is Allee. All the rest of the crew have been murdered. With the injuries that Alee has, Axel's gut tells him that she wasn't responsible for the deaths, but the navy thinks that she is the culprit. Before long, Axel realizes that Allee is in danger. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is one of my favorite books in the series. I love how Allee, like many of the women in this series, is intelligent, strong, resourceful, and capable. I also love how protective that Axel is of Allee. This book kept me captivated.

I love those series. I don’t seem to get enough of them. And I must say they do look nice on my bookshelf. Axle is helping Mason by doing an underwater rescue of an experimental sub and 13 crew. Although it’s not a rescue mission because the crew are dead. They find one has survived, Ally, the only woman in the crew and looking at the navigation. With the bodies mounting up, it’s clear that someone has it in for Ally., either dead or Alive. I do love a good Military read and I love Dale Mayer's books. She has a way of drawing me in from the first chapter and forces me to devour it until I have finished. Loved Ally and Axle. Can’t wait for the next book. I shall be waiting patiently.

Seals of Honor: Axel

! Another FANTASTIC story by Dale! The beginning was interesting since the damsel in distress was already injured and Axel and his team needed to find out who was after Ally. Ally is strong but there is not much you can do with a broken and shot-up leg but she manages to save herself when she is kidnapped but just barely. It was slow for these two to get together but then again Ally was injured pretty bad. Once the team finally got clues together to solve the case, Axel and Ally worked on their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Dale! I would recommend this book.

Deep under the sea a submarine is trapped on the sea floor with 12 people inside.
Enter Axel and his team .
Straight into a crime site. All dead or are they?
Ally has hidden herself after being shot and is praying for help but know time is running out. When Ally is found alive, the Navy use her as an easy target for their blame.
This doesnt sit well with Axel an d his team so they decide to start their own investigations to find out the truth and to clear Allys name..
This ensure a wide ride of a story till the end.

How do you prove your innocence of a crime when your memory is spotty? This is the challenge faced by Dr Ally when all of the members on a sub are found dead except for her. While she's still alive, she was shot 3 times and also lost consciousness during the time when the rest of the crew was killed. While the Navy wants to get a quick resolution to this, Axel and Baylor help to get to the bottom of what actually happened. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat as it unfolds with various twists and turns, including what she thought she knew about her brother and his friend.

Axel was called in for a rescue aboard a submerged sub. However, upon reaching the sub they found all but one member dead. They were able to find Dr. Ally Minga and ascertain part of what happened.

Ally thought she was going to die on board the submarine. Then Axel and his teammates arrived and rescued her. After multiple gunshot wounds, Ally needed recovery time in the hospital. Was Ally part of the sabotage or another victim? Is she safe as she recovers or is there more to this story than meets the eye? Read and find out!

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This book is well-written with a fast-paced, action packed storyline. Axel goes on a mission to rescue a sunken sub but when they get there every one is dead except for one missing employee, Allee Minga... found shot and bleeding Axel believes her story about a gunman. Every thing seems stacked against Allee as she seems to be the most likely culprit in this incident.
Can Axel keep Allee safe while trying to clear her name and uncover the real story behind all the killings?

I miss Mason's crew, so this book is definitely what I'm waiting for and this book totally delivered.
It was started with rescue mission that turns to something terrifying with many dead bodies, then everything getting more complicated with danger in every corner and lots of actions and mystery, and spiced up with the sparks between Axel and Ally, love how persistent and protective Axel towards Ally, yup it has a perfect amount of actions and romance, this one is easily to finish in just one sitting.
It's a fast-paced page-turner suspense romance read, totally recommended.

I enjoyed the instant attraction and undeniable chemistry between Axel Salisbury from Mason's SEAL team and Dr. Ally Minga. the only survivor and sabotage suspect for an downed submarine. Axel takes on a downed sub, with all on board dead. Or were they? The doctor is missing, bullet holes in the ceiling of the sub. Why? Where is the shooter? Where is the doctor? Things are happening so fast and you don't want to stop reading because this is one good action-packed book. Axel decides to investigate as it did not make sense of what he was seeing. Things go from bad to worse. If I say much more I will spoil the book and I always try to leave you wanting more. This book fills the bill

This one kicks off with intrigue, danger and mystery right from the get go and you are trying to work out who is behind the deaths in the sub as well as why and what could Ally have to do with it. Ally's drive to know why she is being targeted and the way she is treated by the Military has you wanting to make Axel work harder to find out what's going on, throw in the the potential link from Ally's past and how Axel wants to protect her and you get one hell of a read!

This is book 25 in the SEALs of Honor series and it features Axel and Ally. From the beginning the mystery and suspense were amazing! The action throughout is fantastic! She’s the last woman standing in a downed submarine. He’s on the SEAL team sent in to find out what happened. Now it’s a mad dash for Axel to keep Ally alive with the help of Baylor.

The story line is fantastic. The characters were likable. I felt a connection with these two and that kept me deeply entranced in the story.

Mason and his crew including Axel are sent to rescue the crew of a downed experimental submarine. They find 11 dead men, the last crew member, a woman, is badly injured and hiding in the air duct. Axel rescues her and feels somehow responsible for her safety. Even though shot three times, the Navy decides she is guilty of the murders. Then suddenly she is the target of kidnappers and murderers. Everyone seems out to get her. Even though not a particularly long book, it is filled with action, suspense and a bit of romance. Always an interesting story in this series. Good reading!
