Denmark is one dangerous place!

I zipped through these three novels in three days. Willow Rose has an easy to read writing style and tells such gruesome tales that they're hard to put down. If child abuse, bats, cannibalism, or spiders are not your thing, don't pick up these books. If, however, a good grisly murder and wacko psychopaths are your cup of tea, read on!

The whole 'Emma Frost Mystery Series' has had me glued to the pages. The storylines were incredibly creative and downright well written. "Bone chilling thrillers" is putting it lightly. From 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' to 'Miss Polly Had a Dolly' to 'Run Run as Fast as You Can' was intensely thrilling. I loved the way each story played out. The suspense, action and thrilling scenes were compelling. The characters are great. I love Emma and her ability to unravel even the most confusing scenarios. I love how Willow Rose has a unique way of writing and pulling you into the story. I look forward to the next book. A great series to add to your tbr list. Recommended

Too graphic for me, do not consider this a cozy mystery.

Another great read by Willow Rose! Willow Rose is a master at writing thrillers that have plots & twists that are mind blowing. I can't imagine how she comes up with her stories other than she was just born with an amazing gift. I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

Emma Frost inherits a house on an island from a grandmother she only met one time when she was 4 years old. She decides to move there with her children because she had lost her job and was on the verge of losing her flat. Shortly after moving into the home a neighbor is found murdered. Emma is a writer and decides she wants to right a book about the death of her neighbor.  As Emma begins to research the neighbors death she quickly decides their is a lot more to her own grandmother's death than she has been told. As more deaths begin to happen Emma finds herself and her family in the middle of a mystery that has been going on for decades and involves several of the long time residents of the island. A mystery that is very dangerous for her to be trying to solve. The old adage "some things are better left buried" comes to mind but someone has to find the killer since the local law enforcement doesn't seem to be working hard enough to find this very gruesome killer. A serial killer is on the loose and the local police are  telling the islanders and media the cases aren't related. Multiple murders that the victims were killed the exact same way.

Excellent read.

Miss Polly had a Dolly is yet another great Willow Rose read and the second book in the Emma Frost series. If old dolls already creep you out this book will make that even worse!

Emma Frost, a Danish Author, that lives on Fanoe Island, becomes interested in the disappearance of a little girl in the 90's from a playground on the island. As she begins to dig up the details of the missing girl in the hope of it being her next book, Emma has no idea how strange and twisted the "story" will become and what disappearances and people become part of several disturbing series of events from the past and present.

Not for the faint of heart but an excellent read for those that like books like "Silence of the Lambs". Willow Rose never ceases to amaze me with the twisting plots she rights and how she can intertwine several events into one heck of a rollercoaster ride of a book.

RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN  is the third book in Willow Rose's Emma Frost series and is yet another great addition to this series. This series is not for the faint at heart! Willow Rose just keeps coming up with more and more shocking, engrossing, plot twisting books that I can't get enough of. I'm not sure what that says about my mindset 😂 but obviously I'm not alone in loving this author.

Emma Frost' best friend and neighbor, Sophia, attends a group for mothers. Emma has just returned from Europe when the body of one of the group members, Simone, body is recovered after she had been reported missing. Simone's body is covered in small animal bites and gunshot wounds. Then another member of the group turns up missing and this is just the beginning.

Excellent read for the reader that twisted, thriller, who-done-it types of books!

Emma Frost 1-3

Itsy Bitsy spider

Very intriguing read that kept me burning through the pages until the end. Emma down on her luck is whisked away to a place she has only visited once as a child and starts to think things are looking up- of course stuff hits the fan and as the mystery unravels you begin to question everyone and everything. Great characters- intricate storyline and a surprise twist- what more could you ask for Besides the next book!

Miss Polly

Wow this one had a lot of elements that fit nicely together and a twist I never saw coming. There are some pretty dark disturbing things in this one but I believe that they all brought us to where everything turned out the way it did. I must say though this is turning out to be a very creepy island that Emma moved her family to. Wonder what will happen to the unsuspecting inhabitants of Fanoe island next...

Run, Run as fast as you can

This one was still really good and I always like how there is multi story tie ins that help keep you confused but idk what’s nagging me about this one. I think maybe it’s the fact that Emma’s son has like all these pshycic little moments and the fact that for someone not being on the police force she is always getting all this info about the cases and always a little too close to danger. Of course those are also things that keep the story interesting but like I said somethings bugging me about this one.

Overall: great bundle to start a series with. Lots of mystery and adventure. Plenty of dark and crazy things going on as well so it leaves you craving more as you finish each one.

These 3 books are puzzling goodread mysteries. Sorry I can’t say I love Emma or the family dynamics, they’re just too unsettling. The mysterious killings are great reads that keep me reading and guessing.
Book 1 Itsy Bitsy Spider, not all spiders are bad and Emma’s grandmother’s home becomes her new home. In solving the mysterious deaths of some older women, her grandmother’s intriguing life is exposed. That’s really goodreads.
Book 2 Miss Polly had a Dolly, gives a whole new meaning to baby dolls. I’ll say no more, except it’s can’t put it down reading.
Book 3 Run Run as Fast as You Can, Emma’s involved with neighbor, Sophia’s meeting for lunch group, one by one disappearing. This is definitely puzzling and gruesome with a shock reading.
The series is great reading for lovers of bizarre mysteries.

Emma Frost

I have enjoyed reading "The Emma Frost Mystery Series:vol 1-3" a lot. There are plenty of secrets on the Danish island Emma Frost , her autistic son and teenage daughter move to after inheriting a house from a grandmother she hasn't seen since she was four years old. Each book has a growing cast of returning characters with new perils to go through. Some were weird, some were scary, and some were evil. Emma Frost unravels many of these mysteries and becomes a best selling author as she tells the stories of them. I can't wait to read the rest of the series to see what she solves next.

I don't think I've ever read a story in which there were so many evil characters. In the case of the Emma Frost Mystery Series 1-3, the characters were pretty nasty. If I had been Emma Frost, I think I would have got off that island as soon as possible.
All in all, I found this set of novels quite entertaining and I did want to keep reading to the end.
I thought the first story, Itsy Bitsy Spider, quite poignant and actually brought tears to my eyes, as did Miss Polly Had A Dolly. Stories about children always upset me. The last story, Run Run As Fast As You Can had a twist I didn't see coming.
I can recommend this series of books for those who like surprising horror stories.

Willow Rose does it again

Excellent series from our queen of mystery, Willow Rose. I enjoy her series set in Denmark very much. Willow Rose has a true grasp of the local customs and color. Once again we have a strong heroine and many twists in the plot whice do not reveal the criminal until the very end. Yet there is one slim thread hanging loose which will lead to the next installment of Emma's life on the island. I love the writing style which pulls the reader into the middle of the scene to walk with Emma.

I read only the first two, but there is something off about them. The first one was ok, but the spiders and her son's random knowing of things was too unbelievable. Then in the second book, the main character somehow ends up in the middle of a horrifying serial murderer situation again. The son isn't in there much except to randomly impart obscure warnings, and it was extremely graphic including a rape scene of children. That was the tipping point for me and I can't continue on with the series.

There's a lot going on within this small island

Emma inherited the house from her grandmother but it too held secrets she didn't expect, then the murders began but the author had a way to twist the stories into many new off shoot stories of their own. Three books with mystery from chapter one. It took me a while to get into the stories but once in you need to be prepared for grusome reality as she tells the story. I enjoyed the twists and didn't expect the culprits until all the evidence was laid out, very clever writer

Gosh I love Willow Rose's books. This is 3 books in one , The Spider, Ms Polly has a Dolly and Run as fast as you Can. All three books are interwoven with the same characters. It was such a good book, I didn't want it to end so now I've started on Mystery series 4-7. If you've never tried Willow Rose's Emma Frost books, you are in for a pleasant surprise. They are so good and so entertaining you'll never get tired of them.

Best Ever

I read all 3 books and each one got better and better. I love mysteries and trying to figure who did what. But these 3 books stumped me. None of my suspects were the guilty one. Now that’s what I love about a well written mystery. I loved not guessing the correct and LOVED the surprise ending. Good books. However, they are those “can’t-put-down” books and that’s tough when I know I need to sleep sometime.

Hi, I have just read the first three Emma Frost mysteries set in Denmark's murder capitol. Enjoyed every one, very exciting and full of character. "Run" was almost totally unbelievable, but remember it is a work of FICTION, enjoy.
For now I can only recommend the first three, I am reading on.

These serial killers are so creepy!!

I like that she keeps you guessing where's she's going with all the different characters and how they all tie in there together . I love being surprised with who the killer is after trying to figure it out on my own. There's definitely surprises in the end

Very strange and very frightening

The minds of the killers in these three books are absolutely frightening. Bereft of most human emotions and completely out of touch with reality. These are the people of nightmares. The ones you hope you never cross paths with. A little too scary for me.

A Creative Master of Suspenseful Mysteries!

Never has a known mystery writer come close to developing such addictive tales as Willow Rose! Beginning with what reads like three or four different stories that she masterfully weaves into one easy to follow tale that will tug your heart strings one moment and then feel a high adrenalin rush the next! Ain't none better!

Excellent mystery pack. The Emma Frost series takes place on an island in Belgium. The books need to be read in order to understand the back stories of the main cast. I tried to solve the mysteries, and managed to guess pretty close. When you pick up this set, you won't put it down until you have read the last page.

the trio of Emma frost

Three of Willow’s books for a reading fest. Each book can be read separately, but having them in a set is perfect for fans of Willow. The books are interesting and each one has its own twists and turns. Mystery, murder, and horror, not for the faint hearted.

I've never read Willow Rose. and I only read the first in this mystery series. Once I started reading the second book, it was similar to the first one and I lost interest. If you like graphic gore and murder, you'll like reading this. Otherwise, I don't understand the hype.

Fun Reading.

This is a great series. It is easy reading and fun. I would recommend this series for a fun mystery that has lots of twists but doesn't hurt you brain trying to figure out the who done it.

Emma Frost Books 1-3

These stories are very gory, but then we were warned about that before we ordered them. They are good mysteries. I don't like the way book 3 ended, but maybe something happens in book 4 to take care of that.

I wish there had been a 'trigger alert' on book two. Do not read book two if you have been a victim of sexual violence.
Book one was very scary good. 4/5 stars
Book two was ruined by the child rape scenes. I had to stop reading.
Book three I did not read.

It's actually horrifying

I finished the first story but it was so depraved and depressing that I just can't continue. Add in that it's on an island covered with spiders and evil people that are probably related to Hannibal Lector, it's just not my idea of a good story.

Ghoulish

Terrific writing as usual, however with real scary subject matters: child trafficking, induced psychosis, mental illness/stalking, and downright psychopath. Which is worse? Which will scare you the most if you had to live it?
