I never thought that I'd feel for Lefiya to the degree that this volume makes me, but that's one of Omori's strengths as an author - he takes light novel tropes and manages to make them work in a more literary way. The Filvis/Lefiya storyline is a wonderful example of that, both in terms of subverting a couple of yuri tropes but also in making an effective tragic relationship.

Unrelated, the Finn/Lilly ship is the one I will die on. Sorry, Tione.

I honestly think that if the side-story ends in this volume, it would be a fitting conclusion. Nonetheless, even if it continues, this whole plotline has been amazing for Danmachi standards, with such a climactic battle, never seen in the series until now (mentioned by the author himself). Overall, it is an incredible finale for such a good spin-off series. 5/5

First -- read through volume 14 of the main line before reading this book!

It is with mixed feelings that I write this. I am both thrilled with it, and sad to see the end of this storyline of Sword Oratoria. Sounds like we might get some more side story later from the afterword but we'll have to wait and see.

What a huge volume. Not just the 350+ page count, but so much going on. We get to see so many old friends, neighbors, companions, frenemies, enemies and monsters. With such a large cast you may feel your favorites did or did not get enough page time, but on the whole I was content with the conclusion. It is rather EPIC.

So while it was amazing, I am still sorry to see it done because I don't know how much of these various characters we'll see in the mainline and I've loved many of them even more than the mainline characters.

But it was a grand and glorious conclusion for this chapter of Sword Oratoria. Definitely worth the read.
