Wildflowers #4

Summer Fling

Rate this book
Scarlett had learned to keep her head down early in life. Zoey, her older sister had always taken the reins, even when it came to helping their mother recover after their father had stolen everything and run off with a woman half his age, leaving the three of them with only their clothes on their backs and Zoey and Scarlett’s measly inheritance. She’d been behind her sister one-hundred-percent in investing into River Camps. It had only taken one look at the sexy Levi to convince her that this was where she’d wanted to be.

Levi has been raised by his grandmother, and has searched high and low for the best job around the home she refuses to leave. When he’d learned that River Camps was opening back up, he jumped at the chance to stick close to his ailing grandmother and utilize all his outdoor skills that he loves. But, he hadn’t expected falling so hard for the beautiful and very soft Scarlett.

Let's go back to camp! The Wildflowers, a group of girls who met at camp as children and became like sisters, have renovated their childhood camp into an adult version of camp. The unique aspect of this series is that each book covers an event from a previous book from a different character's perspective and then builds the story out further from there. In this book we follow Scarlett, who has been in lust with Levi since they met as teens years ago, but was left hurt and distrustful after their brief encounter all those years ago. Follow along as Levi tries to figure out what he did and how to win her back over while Scarlett goes on the defensive. Well plotted with interesting twists to keep you entertained as well as a heavy dose of sex to keep you heated and turning the pages. This needs to be on your summer "beach read" list even if you don't make it further than the couch!

A second chance at young love soul mates. There's a lot going on in this story from some mystery, lies and deception, attempted murder and of course some romance. The adults camp is growing and so are all the Wildflower girls. An entertaining read that kept me eagerly turning page after page.

I love how the Wildflowers are a family and that their family is growing. Scarlett has been protecting her heart since her father left them. Levi was raised by his grandmother and only knew love from her, but he always wondered about his father. Scarlett and Levi met as teenagers. They never forgot each other, but moved on. Or so they thought. They find that things are not always as they seem. Scarlett knows she can trust Levi, but it is hard to let go of old feelings. Will she give in to love? Will Levi be patient while she figures it out?

Listen To Your Heart!!!

Scarlett Rowlett had always kept her head down, she always let her older sister, Zoey ( SUMMER NIGHTS ) take the reins of things. When their father took everything they owned and left with a woman half his age, he nearly destroyed them but they had each other and the three woman they met at camp when they were younger.

Now all five of them were running a prestigious camp for adults, River Camps. She considered Elle Saunders ( SUMMER HEAT ), Hannah Rodgers ( SUMMER SECRETS ) & Audrey Smith as her sisters just as much as Zoey was. Investing into the camp was the best thing to every happened to them all. Meeting the man she'd loved since she was fourteen again, the sexy as sin Levi tilted her world on its axis.

Levi Grant had been raised by his grandmother, she refused to leave her home. So he needed to find a job close to where she lived. When he heard that River Camps was opening back its doors, he jumped at the opportunity to get a job there. He just never expected to see the woman he'd falling for all those years ago. The beautiful, sassy and smart, Scarlett Rowlett.

Something happened between them that hurt Scarlett, she still loved Levi but she was guarding her heart cause she refused to let him break it again. Turned out the reason why she was mad at him was all a lie. He wanted her for more than a summer fling, he wanted her for life.

As they took their relation to the next level, they realized that no matter how many years had passed, they still loved each other more than they thought. When people from both their pasts tried causing trouble for the couple, let's just say that said they interlopers underestimated them. And their loved ones.

Despite Scarlett's fears regarding love, Levi was able to break the shield she had around her heart.

SUMMER FLING is the fourth installment in Jill Sanders' WILDFLOWERS series. It was phenomenal and heartwarming. Looking forward to what comes next. Jill Sanders did a magnificent job! 5++++

This books is Scarlet's story, the youngest of The Wildflowers. Scarlet was hurt as a teenager by Levi, the boy she had fallen for. He had betrayed her around the same time that her father had left her mother for a younger model. All that hurt made her quite bitter.

The big problem now was that Levi was working at the camp, and her body kept betraying her by wanting him, badly. Levi however really wanted Scarlet and had no idea what he had done wrong.

For a while, a one sided love story as Levi tries to win over Scarlet, but a few surprises from the past throw the story into a few dramas. Will Scarlet ever open up her heart, or will the past year everything down?

Fab story, some love, drama, and a few laughs along the way.

This is such a good book!
Another enjoyable story in the series.
It's a feel-good, sexy, moving
& intriguing romance.
Scarlett & Levi, met many years ago
at River Camps, the one she & the other Wildflowers went to every summer.
Till one summer, when her whole life
as she knew it, was turned upside down.
Scarlett, co-owns the camp that is now
for adults, where Levi is also working.
Levi, grew up in the same town as camp.
As hard as he's tried for two years, Scarlett still avoids him.
Maybe it's time she tells him why.
I loved everything about this
Must Read Story!!

She hates him, but why? This question is on Levi's mind for past year or more, since Wildflowers are back and running the camp.
There was time when Scarlett liked Levi very much, then she learn something else.
Now they are working together and attraction is there. Will Levi find out why, she doesn't like him? There is someone who is ready to take him away too...

Loved the story of Scarlett and Levi. Each book about Wildflowers is great and this one is awesome too.

A second chance at love. A second chance at a family. Scarlett and Levi were together when Scarlett was at the camp as a young girl. Years later when the Wildflowers reopen the Camp Levi starts working there. After her father left their mother and her and Zoey, Scarlett build walls around her heart not letting anyone in. After two years trying to get Scarlett to smile, Levi finally pulls out all the stops and works on opening Scarlett up to the love they had as kids. Another great book

4.5⭐

Summer Fling was a joyful read that will be perfect on the beach when the time comes, but just as great to curl up with now. As the Wildflowers return, and Scarlett the youngest of the bunch takes centre stage in a second chance romance that was entertaining, amusing, sexy and a little dramatic; and I was utterly hooked throughout.

Would happily recommend.

Fantastic addition to the series! Young loves reunite. The book is well written, so very enjoyable, and steamy. There’s a good bit of mystery thrown in. And the relationships and friendships are something to envy.

This is Scarlett and Levi's story in the series. Both have trauma from their childhood and as they work to overcome it, the past comes back with answers they aren't expecting. They will need the love of family and the ability to let go of past hurts to find their happily ever after.

Original review: https://myshelfbooks.wordpress.com/20...

Contemporary romance, Second chance: This book leans all its weight in its romance aspect. It is a well written and entertaining part, with nice characters that fill their role with easiness. But there is nothing there that keeps the reader engaged. It follows a clear path and it doesn’t even hint about the possibility of taking a short detour to keep us on our toes. It is way too simple for the number of pages it needs.

Weak: This saga had a great mystery during the first three books, but it was resolved. I was expecting a new one to be started, but nope… nothing at all. The “Who is my daddy?” drama doesn’t even hold a candle and its development is a bit underwhelming. I still have to understand the motivations of some of the characters involved in that part of the plot. I was expecting much more after the last book…

The next book is the last one of this saga. That came as a surprise, because there are still plenty of characters that could have their own books. Maybe the author will recycle them in some other saga.

Summer Fling is the fourth in the Wildflowers series but could be read as a standalone book.

The Wildflowers girls who met at camp as kids have now invested their inheritance to keeping the camp going, but for seniors and adults rather than privileged girls. Slowly, the women have been pairing off with their forever loves. This book is Scarlett and Levi. They met as youth and have been dancing around each other as Levi became a camp employee. This book takes them from friends to lovers to more.

Super cute story about childhood friends running a camp. I probably should have read the books in order but this is the only one I have read so far. Scarlett and Levi grew up together and she always had a thing for him. Because of a picture Scarlett was holding a grudge against Levi. Things finally get explained and they finally start dating. Unfortunately a witch from the past wants Levi and not her husband. You can't help but fall for Levi and how he helps out his grandmother.

Story Twist

Kind of saw it coming but still trying to figure out why 7 years later. Maybe when Levi’s mum was thinking of going to Europe she was going to look for his father. Hopefully answers in next book as not tidied up enough I think. Still another great book in this series. Could do a few novella for some support characters too I think. Like Lea, Britt and Dean etc.

Honestly I got half this series for cheap on Chirp and they're fine just frustrating people causing their own relationship problems for no reason. Some of the outside conflict is entertaining but the inner conflict makes me want to wear earplugs for half the book.
