Step back into the lives of Sam and Luciana in this heart-warming, heart-breaking, but ultimately perfect ending to their journey.

The plot. The story picks up a year after the events of The Arrangement and readers are dropped right into the thick of things. Sam has been working long hours while also preparing to take on a massive project while at the same time an old enemy makes a shocking reappearance into their lives.
The spoiler. This should go without saying but what I'm about to mention are major spoilers so obviously don't read the following if you plan on reading this book.
Unfortunately, this one was a big letdown for me. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, but this sequel felt completely unnecessary, and worse, it undercut the relationship Luciana and Sam had worked so hard to build in the first book.
Almost the entire book was 288 pages of repetitive, pointless arguments that seemed to exist purely for the sake of plot drama. It was the same fight, again and again, and it got exhausting fast.
Sam, in particular, felt like a completely different character. Yes, she went through something traumatic (though even that felt like it was added just to manufacture tension), but it turned her into someone bitter and, frankly, pretty awful to Luciana. There were moments when I genuinely thought Luciana deserved better and should’ve walked away.
Honestly, their love story would’ve worked so much better if the epilogue from this book had simply been added to the end of The Arrangement—and this book didn’t exist at all.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series called 'The Arrangement' but I wasn't quite finished with the main characters so when I heard there was more to come, I got really excited, and Melissa Tereze did not disappoint.
Sam and Luciana's connection is what drives this story. Even when things are tough, and at points downright dark, they find a way back to each other and what's important to them. They are the definition of soulmates and honestly are genuinely meant to be together. I even get the feeling that Sam is more in love with Luciana than she has been with anyone else, and that's a tough act because her first wife was supposedly the love of her life. They are just beautiful together.
If you read 'The Arrangement', you know Sam and Luciana have bags of chemistry and a solid intimate connection. It's heightened in this book because they endure more issues, that if anything makes their bond stronger, ergo their sex life sexier and more intimate. It was all scorching!
Sam and Luciana's relationship grow as they continue to be together. They have issues to work through, but come out stronger. Melissa Tereze created wonderful characters that you can't help but love.
This was actually sweet, it also had the downs and scares of relationship but mostly I felt it was too mushy. Many uncertainties, many apologies, one ridiculous misunderstanding by her sister...I had to ask myself a number of times are relationships this busy?
I have been waiting for this installment to come out for weeks! Love the characters, the plot, the real life problems and hopes and dreams all brought together in a fantastic story!! Right amount of tension, angst, lust, and love!!!!!
I’m so glad we got to see more of Luciana and Sam. (This is book two in the series and follows on from the couple in book one). These two never catch a break, so much happened in this book but it was so nice to see how much stronger it made their relationship!
Written in third person with 2x POV’s. Book two in the Another Love series, Ice queen, Age gap (12 years), Firefighter/Business Woman, Anxiety/Insecurity. Check triggers (mentions of past abuse and Death of a partner). Narrated by KA Walsh. 4x Spicy scenes (one is F2B).
I loved the first book and I was a little hesitant to read the second part because I felt like they already got their happy ending and this one would not be interesting but I’m glad I gave it a shot. I really liked it and the drama was really good. Now I hope there is a third book with Lindsay and Cheryl :)

Well damn, I enjoyed The Arrangement but didn't expect to absolutely LOVE The Call! It had everything I'd ever hope for in a romance. The Drama, the intensity, the challenges, the earthshattering love, the hot sex, the happiness, the character developement. I wouldn't mind reading 10 books of Sam and Lucianna just living their doemstic life at this point. Well done Melissa Tereze, well done indeed!
Back with Sam and Luciana after their heart-breaking story in The Arrangement, we are encountering life a year later. So much has changed for them both, and a happy life seems to be in the cards for them, but it’s not all plain sailing, especially when Luciana receives a devastating call from someone who has been wreaking havoc in their lives, and causing all since of chaos in their relationship.
The emotion poured into this instalment of the Another Love series was overwhelming. Talk about strained relationship, put under pressure and laced with angst. I loved how Melissa really kept the tension throughout the heart-breaking events that cropped up in this story. I truly thought things couldn’t get any more heart-breaking than they were in the first book but this story was laced with intense, nail biting moments, and a lot of wondering. It was such a realistic portrayal of a relationship tested by other people, emotions, and traumatic events – past and present. I genuinely found it such an emotional read. You have got invested in Sam and Luciana and now you are going through an emotional rollercoaster with them all again, on a completely different scale to the first time.
What I did like was that you would benefit from reading the first book in the series (and really should) but if you haven’t you can still get a good grasp on the past and what happened in this story. Melissa has really put all the pieces together to bring a great romance to light, with drama, angst and all you could truly desire from a romance. It’s Sam and Luciana’s connection that really makes the story special though, after everything Sam has been through, and the support Luciana has given. It is undeniable their love is true.
Having read the first book and enjoyed it. This was the second book to follow and what a great story and read it was.Sam and Luciana (Luca)are gradually getting there lives together. But Janet.M.has not finished with Luca yet and she starts to date Lindsay ( Sam sister ). Luca finds out and doesn't know how to tell Sam. The characters are very believable and the author Melissa Teresa kept this story going throughout it. There is anger, betrayal, danger, love and more.Would love to read how Janet.M. became the woman she is. )Hope Melissa Teresa does her story any chance of this happening ??. Definitely recommend this and ,(5+ STARS) . But. Read the first book.
While Luciana and Sam both have those negative flaws, they do have several positives to them, they also both have that one big flaw (pushing others away) that drowns them in self-pity . I don't really find that attractive in real-life or fictional people.
I did like the story itself, though. I thought it was a well-told story. Also nice for Linds and Cheryl to hit it off right away.
I'd like to see a standalone about Ryan, though. I think she is a really interesting character.
The arrangement was good, this didn’t disappoint! Again same wonderful writing and loveable characters with a good story to keep you enthralled. I was hoping for a 3rd book as I felt the way it was left, there was definitely room for following them on into the next stage of their journey.
As many of us may know, once children come along things change dramatically!

This is the second part of The Arrangement. I really enjoyed the first delivery, this one was okay because I was invested in the first book. For me the writing was so different, it took so much time from one topic to another.
Honestly most of the book was too angsty without any hope, towards the end it was getting better. It was like getting some kind of closure from Sam and Luciana’s relationship cycle.
I loved this story Book 2 in Another Love series. The couple Sam and Luciano continued their love story with added twists. This couple will stay in my head for a long time. How they came together and how they grew to love each other the way they do. That is due to the writing. You believe their love. You feel their love. The added storyline (not to give anything away)was excellent and added another layer to this story. There is so much more to be told... great job Melissa Tereze again!
I loved it. You can never have enough of Sam and Luciana. You can tell how strong their love is by how they can endure what life throws at them. Maybe we will see more of Lindsey and Cheryl in the future. Well done as always Melissa Tereze.
Sam Phillips is busy with the biggest project she has ever attempted. Working nonstop. This puts some strain on their new relationship. Luciana is surprised by Sam's sister new relationship partner. The new information sets more strain on their relationship and flares up old insecurities. With an unforeseen call, their lives are turned inside-out. Will their relationship grow stronger or will they accept that they do not belong together?
These characters have so many insecurities it enough to give me heartburn. But it is beautiful. It makes you want to question why we torture ourselves by reading romantic stories. Is that someone out there? Does this kind of love truly exist?
My heart broke in book one and fell in love with book two.
People always say that the sequel can never live up to the original....but in this case, the sequel far exceeded the original (The Arrangement). This book took place about a year after Luciana and Sam met. Life was totally hectic for them and then the other shoe dropped. There was a return of an antagonist who was dating Sam's sister of all people and then an explosion that left Sam battered, bruised, and without hearing. The time and care that Melissa Tereze put into further developing the characters of Sam and Luciana was admirable and the details and dialogue used were incredible. I felt their love for one another as a tangible being as I read this book. I thought this sequel was incredible and commend the author on a job well done!
Picks up a bit into their relationship which I appreciated still much to learn amongst themselves which is only natural in any situation but I felt like each chapter merged into the same thing.... 'Janet, communication, I love you, Lucia' over and over that's all it felt like.
I wish the Author dived more into Luciana work, more into Sam's accident, more into Janet stalkish ways and why she was still coming after Luciana just more than the constant repetition in each chapter. I however don't regret buying this book I loved the first installment; book two just fell short or lived up to the expectations I expected
I loved reading about how Sam and Luce navigated through life and their relationship, the mistakes they made and how they fixed them together. Helps that Melissa Tereze can really write. Sam and Luce are the cutest. <3 Sam struggling with
An amazing piece of work. Along with the first book, The Arrangement, this series is beautifully written with well developed characters and plot. Sharing the gift of Luciana and Sam was a delightful journey. Even with obstacles and missteps, their love was profound and provided a wonderful backdrop for their son. I enthusiastically and wholeheartedly recommend this book. It’s a great read. I look forward to reading more of this author’s works. Thank you Peace
Went through it as I like to finish what I start....and it was slightly better than the first book...but again for some reason I couldnt connect, relate, enjoy the book and characters.... Again it was all mostly thrown together for the...sake of the book or something....to exost....but....dunno....it was not it....Am I a bad person to say I only loved the ending of the novel? Coz I truly did wedding and pregnancy....bit their lives through tje first novel and then also this swcond part.... Dunno....this was weak for me and unenjoyable mostly....I m sorry...
I had not realized how many books I've read from this author and can only hope she has a 3rd one on this series. I was so routing for Janet in this book, I do believe people can change if given another chance and although Lindsay's relationship with her did not work out, I could not be happier for her now ... maybe the 3rd book can be her story.
Oh, I so loved the part where they are in the delivery room and she did not want to see her sister's private area. I agree that too that we don't need to know each other that well ... lol
I wasn’t sure where to expect this sequel to go — and yet The Call surprised me. Sam and Luciana are settled… and then their world unravels. This story leans into fear and vulnerability: external danger, internal scars, and a love that must fight to stay intact. The connection between them remains powerful, but it’s messy, tested, and beautifully honest.
Some pacing felt uneven, and a few plot moments dragged, yet the emotional weight pulled me through. For readers who loved book #1, this is a strong continuation: intense, passionate, piercing.
This steamy book 2 for such loving characters was full of amazing twists. Sam and Luciana experience some difficult moments. Janet come squirming her way into their live and an accident that could have cost Sam her life changes them both. I love how they struggle to communicate but find their way back to each other. This was such a perfect ending to a couple that stared out with so little hope for a future.
What a great read! I was on edge throughout the entire book as their seemed to be one thing after another taking place. There were moments I wanted to cry and others where I laughed so hard. This was even better than book 1 and I'm not at all disappointed by anything that took place. I can't afford to give anything away so, just go ahead and read but make sure you've read The Arrangement, first. You will NOT be disappointed.
