What they didn't realize is the cover they made for Luke & Katie wouldn't be hard to sell since the attraction between them was already there. Can Katie keep her professionalism and catch the person that is threatening Luke...
Two stars is fairly generous. No good explanation as to why they should like each other let alone fall instantly in love. Leave any hope for realism at the door.
Could not put it down! Katie owns her own Security Company and takes a job to protect a baseball player named Luke. There are so many people who may be threatening Luke. It is up to Katie to figure out who with her team. Katie and Luke have an electrical connection that neither can ignore. You will love this story. It kept me crazy trying to figure out who it is! Great reading on a rainy day like today or a pandemic!
I loved it! Katie is hired as security for a hot baseball pitcher, Luke. He has a stalker and Katie’s crew is to protect him. Luke let his guard down when he thought he could trust the people inside the locker room, but the stalker has a plan.
Gaurding his body sure sounded like a bad idea at first, but boy do the sparks fly. Lisa did an amazing job on this book, and the radio book sizzles! I highly recommend this book to others!
I enjoyed this book more than I expected to. I liked the characters, and the power struggle between Luke and Katie - though I would have liked a bit more tension between them. I liked the who-done-it factor and the outcome. My only real complaint is that it felt a bit rushed; every tension was resolved very quickly without as much drama as I'd hoped for. I'm tempted to rate it only 3 stars, but it has something that clicked for me that I can't put my finger on. It's one of those books that I think I read while in just the right mood.
The trouble with Harlequin Blaze books is that very often they are too short to let the story really playout believably and make you fall in love/like with the characters.
However, this story worked very well under those constraints. My only gripe is the last couple of chapters - there was no need to throw a spanner in the works at that stage.
Hot Target is an okay read if one is looking for a romance novel without too much drama. It is a straight to the Point kind of book, "a little too rushed" for my taste, however I was definitely feeling the "little" chemistry between Luke and Katie - I say little because I felt there could of been more.....
This was a pretty typical Harlequin. I like the female bodyguard trope but otherwise this was really bland. The hero is a baseball star with a stalker and the heroine is his bodyguard who used to be a dancer.
Ideal to' read when you feel heartbroken! Reading about the kind of love makes you wanna smile and not think about the bad things in your love life! Hot scenes alert!!!
