I absolutely love hockey romance and Mignon Mykel is my go to author for this genre, but whether you like hockey or not, you’ll fall in love with these stories and devour every word, I promise!
32: Refuse to Lose
I've been eager to get to read all about Trevor Winski and see what kind of a woman he'd finally fall for! When Trevor meets Callie, he immediately thinks she's too young, but Callie proves him very wrong with her maturity, life experiences, and ball busting sassiness. Trevor falls fast and falls hard with Callie close on his heals, but their equal stubbornness and Callie's independence doesn't always make things easy. Some great hockey action, appearances from other Enforcers and their significant others, witty dialogue, hot sex scenes, and of course some swoon worthy romance...perfect!
25: Angels and Assists
Mikey has experienced both euphoria and tragedy, but finally getting to a place in his life where he knows he’s ready to move on makes for another amazing book in the Enforcers series! Talk about a story packed with incredible depth, emotion, intensity, frustration, and of course, love. Mikey’s road to happiness continues to be a rough one and I had my fingers crossed for him. Not only did I cheer for the Enforcers while reading some great hockey action, I cheered for Mikey to get his happily ever after!

Book One: Winski — While this particular book isn’t one that I would likely pick up to read again, I did enjoy it. There were a few issues with names/timelines that I noticed, but overall it was a nice quick little read. Trevor Winski is a sweet guy, who longs for that family life his teammate has. Callie MacTavish is a young girl, who comes from money but spent her life trying to distance herself from that part of her life and stand on her own. While these two seemed to be total opposites, they somehow get things to work — or well, try to. I am a huge fan of Mignon’s Prescott family series (Hello Porter 😍) & while this in no way stands up to that work, I still enjoyed reading it.
Book Two: Leeds — I just loved this story. It really tugged at my heart. Mikey is a broken man after losing his wife and having to raise his son. He eventually finds his new found happiness was in front of him the whole time. This is a quick read that’s definitely worth the time.

When Trevor Winski met Callie MacTavish it was not love at first sight. He thought she was too young and couldn’t believe that his best friend had tried to set them up at a family get together. Winski offers to give her a ride home so they can escape and they end up getting to know each other. They do go through some tough times, but their set up ended up being the best thing to happen.
Mikey Leeds is a widower who is fighting his attraction to his son’s nanny Molly. Molly was hired by his late wife and they became best friends. Mignon’s characters are so relatable. I felt the apprehension, sadness, and hope. Both stories were funny, flirty, sexy, and full of emotion. I loved the updates on the supporting characters who we’ve seen throughout the series. Thanks for another great read!

My heart
Both of these books are so great. I didn't want to stop reading over I started.
Book #1 - Refuse to Lose
What a great story of Trevor and Callie. These two were meant to be. They went through some drama to get to where they ended but they find the real thing. I couldn't stop reading it once I started. I wanted to get to the end to see what happened but then I was sad it ended.
I love that the author gave an epilogue so far in the future. It let us know what happened to them. I love knowing what's happening now. :)
Book #2 - Angels and Assists
I was so worried these 2 would not find their happily ever after even though I knew it would come. They went through a lot to get together. You can feel their sexual tension when your reading and it's hot stuff. The author does a great job of drawing you in and keeping you there.

I've never read a Mykel book that I didn't enjoy and this collection did not disappoint. Winski's book happens simultaneously with "27" so it was nice seeing what happened with Trevor after reading a lot about him in Byrd and Marlo's book. I enjoyed reading of the gentle and sensitive side of Trevor and also how Callie's youth played into their relationship. Leeds and Molly were also a good couple. It was great seeing how Leeds have grown since the death of his wife. It was also great reading about the conflict he has with "liking" his wife's bff. Loved the buildup in their relationships - a good mix of funny, sexy, and witty. More please!

I loved these books! Age gap isn't my favorite trope, but Trevor and Callie were so much fun together. And Mikey leeds, gah, so much! I loved them both
