Breaking the Ice

Mountain lion shifter Liam leaves his home in Glen Wood after knowing he’d hurt his friends too badly for them to forgive him. While he tells himself he’s a loner, the pain of missing his friends, especially a certain sarcastic raven shifter named Kell, is enough to tear Liam apart.

Kell knows he’s the one who told Liam to leave Glen Wood and never come back, so he also knows he’s the one who has to bring Liam back. Once Liam is gone, Kell knows he’s missing Liam as more than a friend, but can he bring Liam back, and fight the danger that threatens their home?

Shifters, magic, love and forgiveness and so much more!   Such good world-building has occurred in the this series that you step right back into this world as the story begins.  The struggle that these MC's endure to find forgiveness for themselves is touching and sad.  Their self awareness grows and they find and accept the love they have for each other and the chosen family.

The depiction of the lion and the raven together was creative and beautiful.  The characteristics of the shifter-selves was interestingly displayed in their human form in many delightful ways. Liam and Kell are truly awesome!

i highly recommend this story it just has all the feels!

This is the third book in the Spirit Quest series and it really should be read in the order of the series.  There is so much previous character and plot development that occurred in the first two books that it would be like having a hot fudge sundae with no fudge.   The first two books are good and you will enjoy them.

I was gifted this book from the LesCourt Author Services and i freely give my honest opinion and review.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Spirit Quest series. This book is about Liam and Kell and picks up at the end of book two. Liam is a mountain lion shifter and is away from Glen Wood because he thinks he should be outcast. Liam is grumpy and sometimes says things he shouldn't, and he hurt his friends. Liam crossed the bridge and has given up hope, so he is wasting away. Kell is a raven shifter and is in love with Liam, his best friend. Kell decides it is time to go and find Liam and bring him home. When Kell finds Liam, he has to nurse him back to health and convince him to come home. Kell and Liam also learn the wolves are still there and are getting more dangerous and threatening. Kell fears for his new friends that helped him find Liam. I really loved this series. I liked Liam, even if he was grumpy. I think Kell and Liam were so in love and belonged together. This was a great series and i loved how everyone loved and supported each other. Great one.

This is a fascinating MM shifter romance with a “second chance” undertone & the third book in the series. There are some character crossovers but this book can be read as a standalone. It has a well-paced interesting plot with some good scene descriptions. The characters are well-developed & portray believable emotional feelings & reactions while having an intense determination to succeed.
There is: a mountain lion shifter (Liam) is ordered to leave his home by a raven shifter (Kell) after unintentional hurting his friends but in the meanwhile Kell regrets his decision & realizes that Liam is more than a friend so he decides to bring him back, various kinds of shifters, friendship, mild twists, some drama, humor, threats, danger, misunderstandings, warnings, longings, memories, heartache, regrets, decisions, determination, despondency, protectiveness, insecurities, mates, bonding, trust, contentment, happiness & a wonderful conclusion.

This is an excellent addition to the Spirit Quest series and it is just as sweet and endearing as the first two books are. I loved Kell in the previous stories and I am so happy to read his book. He and Liam are perfect for each other but when Liam leaves because of his hurtful words Kell knows he has no choice but to search for him in spite of the danger. Liam has given up and only the love of his mate Kell will be able to save him and get him to return to where he belongs. There is a beautiful love story, an interesting twist, a few misadventures, amazing secondary characters and a perfect ending in this delightful story. Though this can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading all of the books in this series in order as they are all wonderful and I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I enjoyed this sweet, sexy second-chance love story between a mountain lion shifter and a raven shifter. Words hurt sometimes, and Kell's words drove Liam away, but once they are apart Kell realizes how much he needs Liam, and he really didn't mean to hurt him. I loved these characters and the way they found their way back to each other. It is sweet and sexy. I loved the way the two maintained some of their animal traits, especially Kell, when they were in human form, including speech patterns and physical behaviors. There is a little drama, suspense, and physical danger, near the end, but mostly this is a low-angst, second-chance romance. Although this is part of a series, it could totally be read as a stand-alone.

I received a complimentary ARC and have voluntarily left this honest review.

Third book in the spirit guide series and it’s just as good as the first two, there is so much world and character building in those books, that you really need to read them first, in my opinion.

We have shifter, magic, forgiveness, love and mates, the gang are all back, Kell is looking for Liam beyond the veil, one that is getting harder to cross, Liam feels guilty for his harsh words and is missing Kell. I really love the sense of family in this series, as they are now having to defend their friends. This is a lovely romance, just the right amount of sweet and heat. I am so looking forward to what comes next.

Breaking The Ice
By B.A. Tortuga

The last book ended with Liam leaving Glen Wood after Kell lost his temper and told Liam he wasn't welcome in Glen Wood anymore when Liam made some insensitive comments to Halian about his mating with Nathan.

Believing no one wants his grumpy surly self around anymore Liam takes off through the veil. Worried for Liam because Mother says the veil is closing Kell takes off to search for him.

I still feel the first book in this series was my favorite. I started to consider not finishing this one about half way through, but persevered and am glad I did.

The book is in both Liam and Kell's POV.

This third book in the series is a book in some way difficult to read because featured the consequences of words said without thinking and how many lives we can affect negatively for despair and envy. Love and forgiveness cure everything even in a world of shifter and magic. Kell and Liam story is about how love is love regardless your kind, about family, friendship and hope with a backstory clearer as the series advance. Wonderful, intense and emotional reading!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Sweet love

I am so glad I finally got to read Liam and Kell's story.

I liked them both in previous stories, despite everything that happens there.

And I really fell in love with them both in this book. They are so sweet and wonderful, mistakes faults and all.

I couldn't stop reading once I started reading.
I am hoping for more books with all of these amazing men, especially these two

This was my favourite of the three books.
Liam self exiled himself at the end of the last book. And it's his unclaimed mate, Kell, who has to track him down.
There's more information on the veil and the magic pocket where Glen Wood is located. The relationship has more of a hurt/comfort feel with friends to lovers and mutual pining thrown in. Plus there's some of the action I was expecting in books 1 & 2.

Kell and Liam are super sweet with great chemistry and all the feelings of love. This story had its emotional moments. I like the secondary characters and was glad to see the same group of people from previous books. Overall, I enjoyed this story, but it wasn’t my favorite in the series. At times I felt like the writing was a bit too cutesy for my taste. Mainly between Liam and Kell.

Liam and Kell both have some growing to do, as individuals and together as a couple.
They both suffer from insecurities and have lashed out and hurt each other.
They finally work out their issues and we get to meet someone new to the group and get a better understanding of what's going on.
Not your typical shifter story which is exactly what I like about it.

Most excellent

This is Liam and Kell's story. Liam has left their side of the river after hurting his friends. Kell goes to find his mate and fun & love abounds. Throw in rabid wolves, fights for their lives and making new friends and you have a beautiful story.

Loved it, but please tell me there is another with Jaymi and Angie! I just don't feel like the series is over. I still don't have resolution with the other pack, and the bobcat triplets are still unresolved. More?

Little Cutie

Just as sweet as the first two books. I hope this isn't the end of the series, because it's so cute and there are still some more characters that need to find love.

I thought this a good ending to the series. I would have liked to see the bobcats get their mates but overall it ended in a good pkace.
