The Wolf and the Photographer

Rate this book

Nikolai knew that saving the stupid, over-cheerful human's life would mean betraying his pack. He knew it would probably get him killed. But damn it, Nikolai couldn't just let the guy die, could he? Banished from the pack without a home, or even clothes, the last thing Nikolai needs is to take responsibility for a newly bitten werewolf...

Oliver thought a trip to Norway to practice his photography was a great idea. He thought that the warning to stay out of the forest was a bit over-cautious. He thought he was straight, too. Turns out, Oliver was wrong about a lot of things. Instead of wandering the wintery landscapes of Norway on his own, Oliver finds himself the victim of a freak wolf attack, and shortly after ends up in the company of Nikolai, the gruff (naked!) hitchhiker with a shadowed past who claims that not only are werewolves real, but Oliver is about to become one...

Together, they embark on a road trip that will lead to self-discovery, a growing attraction, unexpected feelings, and very serious danger.

An M/M Werewolf Romance.

🐺 The Wolf and the Photographer is one of those random books I found while I was doing a deep dive into Goodreads shelves. And you know, this was low-key very cute. It pulled off the grumpy-sunshine trope really well, and the book felt like a tour through Norway.

🐺 Also, werewolves. Gotta love werewolf shenanigans. All in all, this book was a fun time.

brb, gotta go book a ticket to Norway 👋

Really a great story. Oliver and Nikoli are great characters. Oliver is so sweet, courageous, spontaneous and full of life. Nikoli has had a hard life where nothing good has ever happened to him. A werewolf tied to one horrible pack after another but when Oliver is attacked by a pack mate he know he needs to save him. Now both on the run, Nikoli a traitor and with the coming full moon, he needs to help Oliver accept and prepare for his first change. There are challenges and excitement everywhere they go and their feelings for each other just grow. Friendship, trust and love!!
