I couldn't connect with this book. Hero and heroine were ok but I didn't love them. Heroine reveals her pregnancy towards the end. Epilogue with 6 kids. They adopted 4.

April 20, 2024This was meh. Ethan and Amelia had a ONS, but she left the next day. Three months have passed, and Ethan has been actively looking for her. Also, she just found out that she's pregnant and wants to tell Ethan about it (she stole his DL; that's why she knows how to track him).
Anyway, they met again, obviously, and Ethan vowed to never let Amelia slip away again. I would've enjoyed this more if Amelia wasn't a runner. She thought no one would love her, thanks to her experience from moving foster to foster when she was young, so I partially understand where she's coming from.
But Ms. Girl exasperated the crap out of me. Up until the 82% mark of the story, her walls were still so high, and she still hasn't told Ethan about the pregnancy. Idk, I hate when women do this hiding crap, especially to a good man. Ethan has never given her reason to doubt him and has shown her time and time again that he's all in.
Thankfully, she finally told him I think around the 85% mark, too late for me, but whatever.
Overall, I didn't enjoy this, mainly because of Amelia. I didn't warm up to her. But Ethan kind of made up for her.

Three months later, she's pregnant, the hero has been looking for her, and things change when they meet again..
Includes the sweet stalking, double v card and the very heartwarming ending which had them having as well as adopting kids.

What a lovely cover for this story about a one-night stand that turns into a forever love.
I wanted to read Amelia's story because she made an impression as a secondary character in the previous novella by this author, and she does not disappoint . She's smart and irate, yet also has a vulnerability that screams ready to be loved and pampered.
In comes this hot bartender who is is hiding so much more under his possessive passion. I loved their night together, they are truly fire. And the separation adds fuel to an apparently unrequited love but turns out to be a claiming, and he claims her alright in stalkerish, adorably smitten ways.
I was flabbergasted when he seemed to disappear again, but that was to prove a point and it shows how much he cares for all her needs, not only his own desires.
Who wouldn't want a man patient enough to earn your trust and to woo you with sweetness and passion? I was happy to see Mia again with her husband, and the epilogues are fully romantic.

she keeps blaming her parents for her shitty partners, like o get how that can affect it and it does but holy shit she’s dated so many guys she needs to take some responsibility for herself and her poor decision too. i’m so tired of hearing this, like people, take responsibility for SOMETHING. always blaming it on others and there environments, no one grew up perfect and everyone grew up wanting something the other had. she is shallow and constantly blames it on her parents. don’t get me wrong, her parents are shitty but maybe a big reason why she’s unlikeable and shallow and irresponsible is because MAYBE because that’s just who SHE IS without any other outside forces. dang then what people do is constantly make bad decisions then constantly blames it on there parents. she’s a adult, she needs to grow up and wake up.

Love Forever by Lucy Darling - 2.5/5 stars
I felt very conflicted while reading this. There were a couple of things that I really hated within this story and a couple that I really liked.
Beware of spoilers below!
Starting with what I wasn't a fan of, I thought that there were some aspects in this story that were dangerous and unhealthy. I really hated how the main male character stalked the Amelia very consistently. He had people following her and searching for her all over a one night stand. He spent months stalking her and searching for her and I really didn't like this aspect of the story. I also hated when he broke into her place, it was so uncomfortable and the way that she found it endearing was really unhealthy. There were a million little things like these that were just... yuck.
However, there were a couple of things that I did like, such as the inclusion of their adopted children at the end of the story. I thought that was a really beautiful detail to include in such a short story. I also liked how the cast of characters kept growing, it was interesting to see.

An unexpected hit!
I really loved this book. I like heroines that make the hero work for it and that describes Amelia to a T. Ethan was so steadfast in his love for her he knocked down all her walls. THEN I find out we have a virgin hero? Swoon! What a gem buried in this series.

Plot: Amelia is best friend to Mia from Love on the Line. Amelia saw her best friend fall hard and fast for Max, and now they're at a local nightclub for Mia's bachelorette party. While there, Amelia sees and makes a play for Ethan, who is hanging out at the bar (he's brother to the owner as well as a silent investor). Ethan takes her home and they have a great night together, and then she gets scared and leaves in the morning. But she doesn't leave alone - she's pregnant. It takes a couple of months for Ethan to find her, not for lack of trying, and when he does, he won't let her go.
Commentary: This was really a 3.5 for me, due to Amelia's wishy-washiness (which was due to her childhood but was still annoying).
Amelia didn't really have a good reason for leaving Ethan. She was scared based on some mediocre experiences with people in the past. There wasn't really any one big traumatic event (although as in more than 50% of romance novels, she was a foster child). This is what marked this book down for me - no solid reason for being scared of relationships, and given that she's young with no experience, it made even less sense.
However, it was cute, and it has the patented Lucy Darling sweetness, and I did like seeing Mia and Max again.

I absolutely loved these characters, I didn't think I'd like Ethan at first but he changed my mind, he's so lovely and genuine. The love they both have building between them and their sexual attraction is of the charts. It's always nice to see old faces and see what there up to now.
This book is a complete page turner and I just couldn't put it down. I always like that it's told in first person to and that epilogue. WOW.
I absolutely loved this book and I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future.

Lucy Darling has done it again! I loved this story about instalove and loss (but only temporarily!). It was entertaining and enjoyable with lots of feels. The characters were interesting and likable. Ethan was all-in as soon as he saw Amelia across the club. Amelia was drawn to Ethan as soon as she saw him from across the club so she decided to approach him and see how things would go. Things definitely went! Ethan knew that she was his "one" so he was determined to keep her. Amelia got spooked and ran. That's when things REALLY got interesting. There was tracking down on both parts as well as miscommunication about what each of them expected/wanted from the other. Thankfully, there were friends/family to help Ethan and Amelia while they figured everything out. Ethan and Amelia were so great together. I loved how Ethan took care of Amelia whether she wanted him to or not. Ethan and Amelia ended up with a dream happy ever after (I would take it!) that made me smile. I recommend reading this book.

Don't do it!
Unreal how ridiculous this book is! First let me say that I only skimmed it reading a line here or there. Didn't make a difference was all the same crap. To start off 10 pages into the 'prologue' she is naked in his bed, 15 pages in and there goes her virginity. All without knowing his name! She ghosts him. Chapter 1 is 3 months later and yep you guessed it she's pregnant but wait get this she stole his license and doesn't say a damn word until the end of the book meanwhile she moves into his house! Little glimpse into to Amelia - her character was pitiful. I'm really disappointed that I was suckered into wasting my money, Sad part is that it was a referral from an author I liked.
