Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance. Book eight in the bestselling series PSI-Ops!
Paranormal Security and Intelligence operative and wolf-shifter Dougal "Striker" McCracken is known for his wild ways, and devil may care attitude. He's worked long and hard to build the persona. It disarms others and protects his emotions. The ones he keeps buried within. But try as he might, one woman sees through his antics. She's not afraid to call him on his bull or set him in his place when the need arises (which it often does). He's not sure how to act around the lass. On the one hand, she makes his body burn with a carnal hunger, the likes of which he's never experienced before. On the other, she's irritable, stubborn, not a huge fan of his, and most of all, vulnerable. He might have already missed his window to claim the feisty woman. Even if he hasn't, it would be wrong to give in to the pull he has to her when all she needs is time to heal and process everything she'd gone through. But it's impossible for him to stay away. Simply being in her orbit soothes his inner beast. He knows deep down she's his mate and that patience has never been one of his virtues. When the enemy makes a move against her, this Scotsman lets his beast and his emotions free.

I have read every book in this series/world and I’ve been dying for Stryker’s story. I have to say… it was worth the wait. There were things I liked and disliked, as with most books, but I really feel like this story was well written and well thought out. Stryker’s history was believable and interesting, the obstacles the couple had to overcome held my attention and added depth to the story. I strongly disliked the Armand stuff (I feel like there are plenty of other people Edee could have relied on for that need), but feel like that added another layer to the complications with their relationship. Definitely a great addition to the overall series and I already can’t wait for the next addition
FINALLY! Striker and Edee finally have their book and it exceeded my hopes for them. I was beyond hooked and stayed up way to late reading. There was not a slow part in it. We all knew that it would take a fireball to take down the fun loving playboy Scot and Edee definitely is a fireball. Their HEA took over 5 years. After a heated evening of verbal foreplay all heck breaks loose and Edee is taken. Striker never gives up and chases down every lead but like all the others, he doesn't realize who she is to him. Fast forward... something strange is happening between these two and to both of them. An old foe comes back to haunt them. They are in a danger that is un imaginable and now that they finally get together, they must stay alive.
Striker is such a multifaceted character. There are a lot of layers to him and this book helps show how he became who he is now. And his mate is perfect for him. She loves him for who he is and won't put up with any of his crap. I'm looking forward to catching glimpses of their life together in future Ops books. Another fabulous addition to the Ops world by Mandy M. Roth.
From the first time he smelt the most wonderful smell of cherries and spice It was hook, line and sinker. He just didn't know it.
The one book all I Op World followers have been waiting for. Dougal "Striker" McCraken, has found his forever mate. No more one night stands for this wolf. Though he is sure he would never get a chance with a woman like Edee Lachenbruch, she was smart, beautiful, and has the man off kilter, on one hand she would set his blood on fire to the likes he has never known and then on the other she was a stubborn, irritable woman. Even though he knows the house she is living in with her best friend and her mate who just happens to be one of his most trusted friends, she is safe, he can't help himself needing to keep watch of the property, just to make sure no harm will ever happen to her will happen again. But when those who he thought infact when everyone thought were dead return to take back what they believe to be theres, all bets are off.
I know I say that every new book in this series is the best one, well guess what?... THIS IS the best book of the series Mandy M Roth has written. Ms Roth has the knack to pull you in from the very first page and make it feel as your part of the story, so be sure you have the front door locked, phone off the hook and the tissues ready at hand. In this book you will find it is fast paced, and chock full of humour, the banter will have you laughing aloud, we get to meet new characters from new departments as well as some old favourites. Great fighting scenes, some romance and sexual content and the good ole favourite a HEA.
I truly recommend you read this book , it can be read as a standalone, but I wouldn't advise that, to get the feel of all the characters I recommend you start from the very beginning at book 1 The I Ops.
I just want to say Act of Freedom was by far the best book in the whole series...wait the whole Immortal OP's world so far. Mandy you out did yourself again. Act of Freedom is Dougal "Striker" McCraken's book, anyone who is familiar with Striker and the I.O.P's knows all about Striker and this book is very long waited and it was well worth the wait. Little bit about Striker his, wild, fun loving and a Ladies man or so he thinks, that until he meets Edee who seems to be the female version of Striker.Oh boy is he in trouble cause he falls for Edee so fast. In all his 700 + years being born a wolf shifter and all he has never felt so confused as why he feels so deeply for a female before. Edee and Brooke have been through so much in the last 5 years they been abducted, tested on and tortured for eight months only to escape and be on the run for a number of years. They also found out they were more then human. Since their escape Edee has battled constant nightmares of what happened to her and those that inflicted the most unspeakable of acts upon her. Those very acts left Edee scared and very untrusting of strangers. But Edee meets Striker again after 5 years she feels very comfortable and know deep down he can be trusted and will never hurt her. This book had me laughing so hard. It had me crying tears as well of having me on the edge of my seat, even all of the above a moment or two. The best part of this book was Striker finally admitted Edee was his mate, and they took out some of the higher up bad guys. I love happy endings. You should read this whole World, series and this book. Hint read Act of Passion, and Act of Brotherhood before reading Act of Freedom...it help set up the whole story.
“Act of Freedom” is the ninth story in the Immortal Ops series and within this series it is Book 8, in the Paranormal Security and Intelligence series and it does not disappoint! Filled with suspense, mystery, romance, danger and lots of HOT, sexy scenes from page one! This can be read as a stand alone but I believe it is enjoyable to read all of them. Mandy Roth intertwines the characters from earlier books and they are an integral part of the story. Dougal “Striker” McCracken is a member of the Paranormal Security and Intelligence Ops and known for his carefree unconventional and reckless attitude. Edee believes the villain from her past who tortured her and now, appears in her nightmares is dead so she is settling into PSI headquarters. But, the nightmares are getting more intense, the memories becoming clearer and are frightening her and bringing her pain. She hears voices of those she thought were dead and gone and has visions of faces that terrify her. When Striker and Edee meet, the electricity flows between them. The interaction and chemistry between them is wonderful. Striker shows us how his Alpha Wolf protects what is his and helps to heal both of their hearts. Mandy Roth gives us another well written and thought out story filled with excitement, laughter, fun and enjoyment! The scene when Striker continually fell into the pool keeps you laughing. You need to read it to try appreciate the humor. Then, we have the child Bethany telling the adults that Striker wouldn’t hurt Edee and it kept them from making the situation worse. And, left the reader smiling. The story kept me on the edge of my seat, it is fast paced, has suspense with many twists and turns! The road is never straight and assured. Can’t wait for the next story!!
Vampires and Werewolfs and Faes, OH MY! This one put the P in paranormal and has just enough of a creepy factor to give you the willies. Five years ago Strikers life forever changed. That was the first time he met Edee. Before her it was drinking, sex complete the next mission then repeat, and that's the way he liked it. Nothing has been the same since that day, he never stopped looking for her. When Edee was kidnapped, between being tortured, she would fantasize about Striker saving her, that he was looking for her. After escaping, with the help of a PSI-Shadow Agent Division team, her and her friend stay hidden from their captors. Fast forward and they're suddenly together at PSI headquarters. But she can't decide if she want's to throw him down and have her way with him or choke him. His feelings never changed, he can't stay away form her and it's driving him crazy. When strange things start happening to both of them, both think they're headed for the loony-bin. What neither one of them know is their past is connected to both of their futures in a way no one would ever expect. The twist and turns in this story had me biting my nails and I LOVED IT! I guarantee you WILL NOT see this coming. Striker has always been one of my favorite I-OPS and it was awesome seeing him meet his mate. Edee is so right for him it was almost like a mirror image of himself at times. It was good to finally read about her finding peace and mate she needed. The only thing I didn't like about the book was, , when it was over. :(.. But hey, I can always read it again! . I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
OMW my wee Scottish heart is sooooo happy - Striker finally gets his HEA! I feel like I've been waiting forever for this. I know I'm probably biased but he is my favourite on the team.
Striker met Edee 5 years ago when she and her bestie, and future Mrs Tut, were kidnapped. They were rescued by the ream but not before they had gone through horrific experiments and assaults. Edee may give off a take no prisoners vibe and launch innuendo at 1000 pacs but it hides her still very vulnerable core. She got back into dating with Armand, both getting what they needed from the relationship but when Striker lands back in her life - she doesn't quite get why he's suddenly very possessive of her??
Poor Striker. I always knew all the posturing, innuendo and quick wit was hiding a scarred heart and I was right! Edee's experiences may be more known to the team but that doesn't diminish Striker's experiences. The banter between these too is epically charged. They have always had a will-they-won't-they vibe and now we get to see what happens when they finally make a decision! I did feel a bit sorry for Striker, he's been playing "five-finger shuffle" while Edee was essentially in a relationship. It would have been perfect if they both couldn't "ya know" with anyone else but I get why Edee needed that relationship with Armand to help heal.
Plenty of twists and WTF Mandy moments lol. Brilliant! My only real gripe is the Scottish accent but given he's THAT old and moved around a lot I'll forgive some of the wonky soundings LOL
This book has been a long time coming in this series. I don't know if everyone else has been waiting as long as I have for Striker's story, but I have wanted it since the first time he was introduced in this series! He is known for being wild and being a player. It's what he wants everyone to know him as. He doesn't want to care about anyone ever again. But no matter what he does, there is someone who see's through him. She will go toe to toe with him with no fear and tell him exactly how it is! And while he burns for her, he also knows she is vulnerable and could be easily hurt. He wants her to be able to heal but he also can't stay away. And once her past comes back to haunt her, he will do anything and everything he has to in order to keep her safe. Even admit to himself that she is his mate and show her exactly what she means to him.
I absolutely loved Striker's story!! I was always a little worried that he really didn't have anything more to him but his player ways, I am so happy that I was completely wrong! This man has so many hidden depths and things that he has gone through in his life, it broke my heart! Edee is the perfect person to understand the pain his hides. And she never lets him get away with the things that other's would! I loved their banter back and forth. I was laughing through a lot of it, it was just that good. And the steamy parts are definitely HOT!! I loved how they come together and how their story plays out. Honestly, these stories just keep getting better and better in my opinion. I can't wait to see where we go next!
Dougal “Striker” McCracken has been quietly looking for two missing women for five years. His guilt of not protecting them back them is what he thinks is driving him. Edee Lachbruch and her best friend have been on the run from her former captors. After meeting up with the Paranormal team again. Edee and Striker just find that they need each other and an Act of Freedom to heal the past.
Act of Freedom is the next book in the Immoral Ops series in the Immoral Ops World by Mandy M Roth. The story focuses on a favorite character in her Immortal Ops series. A wolf shifter whose antics mask his real feelings. A woman who was tortured by bad guys must learn to trust again. Danger and attraction abound in this story of two people who need for each other just maybe the healing each one needs to move on. Act of Freedom is funny, suspenseful and steamy all in one. There are bad guys after are heroine that the hero must protect. Lives are on the line and keep the reader wondering what is coming next. An intelligent woman who sees through the hero’s façade. A hero who is stubborn and take a while to figure out just who the heroine is to him. Act of Freedom by Mandy M Roth is a wonderful story about a rascal of a hero and the heroine who captures his heart. Their lives will never be the same once they figure a way through the danger facing them. A must read for any Immortal Ops World fans. It’s a satisfying story about a much-loved character who finally find his happily ever after.
Worth the wait! If you’ve been reading these interconnected books (Immortal Ops, PSI-Ops, Immortal Outcasts, Shadow Agents, Crimson Ops) by Mandy Roth, you will recognize Striker (Dougal McCracken) from previous books. His character has grown with each appearance, and I, for one, have been waiting to hear his story. A big Scotsman, who would be called a player in today’s world, he has lived hundreds of years. Nothing has bothered him until about 5 years ago. He met 2 women in a hotel in Egypt. He helped save one, but the other has been lost. Striker has tried to move on and forget that he was unable to save her. And this is where his story starts. Well written, with fully developed characters, Mandy M. Roth has done an outstanding job of giving us Striker’s story. Characters from the other books in this series make appearances, but they add to the story, not just fill space. If you are a new to Mandy Roth reader, this is a terrific book, but you really need to know the backstory that encompasses the entire series. Either start with book 1 in the PSI-OPS series Act of Mercy, or book 1 of the entire series from Immortal Ops entitled Immortal Ops. All are easy to read and entertaining. And you’ll join the rest of us, waiting for the next book in this Paranormal world. I was given an ARC of this book by the author through Booksprout, and this is my honest opinion.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Act of Freedom is book 8 in Mandy Roth’s PSI OPS series about paranormal beings that work for an agency tasked with fighting the bad guys. This book has been long anticipated as we met Dougal “Striker” McCracken in the very first book and he’s been making us laugh out loud (literally) from the beginning with his wild antics. We met the heroine, Edee Lachenbruch, in book 5, her brash personality and take no crap attitude made her an immediate favorite and definitely the perfect match for Striker.
The book started out a bit slow for me, with a bit of history and backstory to get everyone caught up to present. But once it got started it didn’t disappoint. The chemistry between Striker and Edee pulses of the pages and it was great to get a glimpse of all of the other agents and their mates. The banter between the characters and the antics of the other agents never failed to make me laugh. It took a bit longer than I would have expected for Striker and Edee to figure out what was going on and admit what they were to each other and there were definitely times I wanted to shake some sense into both of them. But the story was heart warming and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I really love this series and I can’t wait to see who falls victim to mate hood next.
Act of Freedom -Psi-Ops Series Book 8 - Mandy Roth
This story has been a long time awaited as it began years ago in Egypt with Malik and Brooke in Act of Passion. This is finally Striker’s story, who met the outspoken and outgoing Edee in that famous crazy night that Brooke met Malik. They had a lovely dinner but never turned into the torrid affair Striker would have enjoyed although Edee did hint at it. Fast forward five years later and Edee has been rescued from the torture she was subjected to after Striker and Tut left the women right into the enemies hands. Edee turns out to have special fae dna which was triggered by her torture. Unfortunately she’s just not exactly sure what those powers fully are. Now working along side Striker at administration they are both fighting the attraction and knowledge they are true mates. Feisty Edee does not make it easy on the poor psy-ops and his denial and immaturity is frustrating as well. The need to protect Edee when her kidnappers try to reclaim her and working in close proximity all lead to an exciting, witty, humorous, dangerous at times frustrating story that was extremely enjoyable and HEA feels. Reading the books in order is recommended to be up to the timeline and characters. This fast moving, page turning read is a great edition to the series, and the characters make it even more worthwhile!
Stricker has been such a kick in the keister throughout this series with his jabs at his fellow Ops members that lent comic release in tense situations. But with this work we see behind all the bravado to the real and complicated life that Stricker aka/ Dougal has led. It's only until his regrettable incident with Malik in Egypt involving Brooke and Striker's desirably feisty Ebee does revelations come. As for Ebee here is one female that gives Stricker tit-for-tat. She herself has gone through treacherous subjugation from Rathbone and Grid at the behest of The Corporation. Each has had five years of doubt before being reunited at the Ops center and now they must decide if their feelings are the real thing. There is serious and there is funny in this book; namely a repeated pool dunking, a cat called by several names (Shithead, S. K. [Shitty Kitty]), and the unforgettable repartee with Corbin, Duke, Boomer and even to stoic Malik. Striker and Edee superb resolution comes in the last few chapters amid violence, blood, and carnage. This was a fitting ending to this book but had a promise of more to come. This review is written for the Booksprout ARC I was given.
Every Fan of the Immortal Ops: PSI-Ops has been waiting years for Striker's story. Here it is and wow, we've got a different (but amazing) Striker. Not only a one-woman-man, but all the guys are also around to help, annoy, fight, and support.
They met years ago and his wolf wanted her. She was taken and he's been unable to find her until the Ops finally did. Now she works around him all the time. He's wanting her and making all kinds of blunders around her. She's more than she was before her abduction. He and his wolf want her more.
She's smart and sassy and scared. The team cares about her. What about her feeling for Striker?
There's still plenty of snark between the guys. Plenty of support and action when needed. The enemy is not easily dealt with. Will Striker protect her and prove his feelings? Or has their old enemy come up with a way to win?
The saying "page-turner" fits this book perfectly. Steam, action, humor, amazing characters, and a read that can't be missed.
I enjoyed this book so much. I really like that the author took us back to the past for a brief look and then slingshot us forward a few years, yet again helping us catch up and then to the present. I was enamored with Striker, he is the most wonderful of the team, at least to me. Don't get me wrong, I have a soft spot for all of them, but Striker had my heart from the first time I read his name and personality. I got quite the perverse pleasure of watching him and Edee try to get their act together and find their way to each other and to watch her become this character that would stand up to him and take no crap, was hilarious and inventive. I'm hoping the next in the series is one for the twins, they need a great woman or two. This series is full of strong characters, not the least of which are the women for these big virile alpha -holes, but don't that stop you, there is also an adorable four year old that steals the whole show! If you haven't read this series, get busy because they are amazing.
What a joy it is to enter the PSI-Ops/Immortal Ops Worlds of Mandy M Roth. Striker is one of my favorite characters. I admit I was a bit worried after reading so many disappointing stories by other authors when it came to favorite characters. I shouldn't have been concerned at all. Edee is the perfect match for Striker and the only thing about him that changed was his playboy ways. I love how the guys all came together to help his stubborn Scottish butt figure it out and take the next step. The barbecue scene in the pool was fantastic. I laughed so hard I had to take a break. Then there was Malik confronting him in his Jeep outside the house. A true friend indeed. He knew just how to get Striker to open up. The food mess e n the lab. So many great moments throughout this book. It was well worth the wait and an excellent reminder why I pre-order for this author. If you haven't tried this series yet, what on earth are you waiting for? Recommended for any PNR fans.
Stryker is a fun loving sex hound or is he? Edee has survived her capture or has she? When her past rears it head will she trust Stryker to be there for her? Act of Freedom is the latest installment in Mand M. Roth's Immortal Ops series. I thoroughly enjoyed my return to this world. Stryker has always made me laugh. He is irreverent and good for several laughs but you know he uses humor to hide a multitude of sins. I love that Edee gives as good as she gets an enjoyable him in the giving. Lord Ms. Roth had me in stitches as Stryker fought h iui s instincts. I knew he was stubborn but I never expected him to be quite so clueless. However I enjoyed seeing his friends come through for him. And Edee was determined to move past her fears. I loved her baby steps even as she leaned on the bone deep trust she had in Stryker. I loved their journey and the laughter that followed as Stryker and Edee Edee fought for their happily ever after.
Paranormal Security and Intelligence operative and wolf-shifter Dougal “Striker” McCracken has always had a bit of a rep for being wild and a ladies man, as wild as his Tormund-like red mane and beard. But lately he's had even more trouble calming his wolf side. In fact, he's been getting more reckless since Edee and Brooke were found hidden by Armand in a safe house eight weeks before. His attraction to the equally wild and firey part Fae Edee is off the charts, even though he seems to annoy her. As things hot up between them, Striker must find a way to protect her from past nightmares and figure out why he feels so drawn to her. This paranormal ops series is long standing, and with the writing break due to 2019 etc, she helpfully writes in the first few chapters, relevant flash backs to reveal incidents of the past five years. The action and threats are real, the chemistry is sizzling and the humour is ridiculous and fun and completely on point. I've missed these characters, all of them, and the group barbecue serves a reminder of who everyone is and why we love them. Terrific stuff.
I always get so excited when I see a new book in the series come out and I have been patiently (well, not really) waiting for Striker to get his story so I was really excited to see Act of Freedom was out!
It is always great to see the way these guys interact and give each other such a hard time. Now, I have to go back and read the story with Malik and Brooke.
This was a bit creepy with Edee feeling like she was being watched and hearing voices of the two men who kidnapped her and Brooke. She keeps telling herself it is just her imagination and you know it isn't!
As usual, it takes the guy awhile until he figures out the woman that has his attention is his mate and you just hope that he doesn't mess things up with her too badly!
I stayed up wait to late to finish the book because I did not want to put it down and wanted to get to Edee and Striker get their HEA.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this series and all of the characters. There's never a dull moment and plenty of humorous quips throughout. Striker and Edee met over five years ago and had a date that almost ended with a one night stand. That didn't happen and even though he felt an urgent need to check up on her Striker didn't follow through. The next day Edee and her best friend are kidnapped by The Corporation and spend eight months enduring unspeakable torture. She and her friend are finally rescued and manage to successfully stay hidden. Striker spent those five years trying to find her and when they eventually meet again it's to find the attraction is still there. It's obvious to everyone but Striker that they are mates. In the meantime the two monsters who tortured Edee the most have found her and have every intention of getting her back. Definitely a story that once you start reading you don't want to put down.
I have always been a big fan of this series and Striker is one of my favorite characters. The hard partier/womanizer with a sense of humor, was often comic relief and never took much seriously. That changed when he met and lost Edee. When he finds her again she is a different woman. Her imprisonment by the Corporation has changed her and made her stronger, but she is still haunted by the demons who tortured her there. She keeps seeing them, even though she is pretty sure that one of them is dead at her hands. Striker knows that Edee is his mate and his match and he has been trying to get back to her for years. The Corporation has not given up on her though and he must ensure that she doesn't fall back into their clutches.
This is a great addition to the series. It was fun to step back and read Striker and Edee's story. I look forward to many more stories in this series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I adore Striker. It was so much fun watching him flounder around Edee for the last few books. There's a lot of hidden depth to Striker, and we get a glimpse into his history. Edee's tormentors aren't quite as gone as everyone suspected, and Striker vows no one will get to her ever again.
Edee's come a long way from her torture and capture, but she's still struggling with nightmares ... and now she thinks she's seeing Grid & Rathbourne.
In true PSI-Ops fashion, Strike is in denial that Edee's his mate ... and his teammates are more than happy to clue him in. Funniest scene in the book.
I'm so happy this book is finally out, but I'm super sad it's already over. It's super interesting there's yet another division introduced to the world. Clear Sight Development ... with Francis Rowland playing an important part in this story.
Lots of twists for Striker and Edee I must admit I had a slow start on this book. The very beginning reminded me of a previous book so I would stop reading and put it off for another day. But I should’ve known better because this author is an awesome writer and doesn’t repeat her work like that. There were a few things at the beginning that was from a previous book and from a previous operative in the beginning of his romance but that’s were in a similarity ended. This book is primarily about Striker and Edee. The two having previously met very briefly three years prior to the main story. Life happens both good and bad to both in those three years but all the while they both kept thinking about each other and wondering if the other was thinking about that. Very well written story. Very entertains to read.
It was hard to believe that Dougal - more commonly known as Striker - could settle down to be a one woman man. We've been led to believe in previous stories that Edee (best friend of Tutt's mate Brooke) is the one meant for Stryker. Stryker is just too thick skulled to realize it! Mandy keeps us on our toes just like Stryker does to Edee. Makes you want to shake some sense into them both! I am consistently impressed with Mandy's ability to keep each story different and intriguing in such a long series. She has yet to disappoint. I can't wait to see who is next. I really enjoyed the background on Striker and getting to know the man behind the smart mouth and muscle. The only thing this book is missing is Gus and Bill!! They must be busy causing ruckus elsewhere. Never fear though - Mandy insures there is plenty of humor mixed in with the hot and steamy!
We have been waiting with bated breath for Striker’s story. He seem to have a connection with Edee in Act of Passion and I’m delighted that the story is around them. With the villain from her nightmares apparently dead, Edee is settling into PSI headquarters. Both Edee and Striker are secretly circling each other but when things start to get steamy, some supernatural force is trying to get between the two feisty red heads. We got a bit more background on Striker’s life from long ago and got to read his thoughts on Edee. So much action and thrills as well as Striker’s tentative side. This is a steamy, dirty talking book and scorches the pages at times. We are reunited with old favourites and new characters that hopefully we will see more of. Striker and Edee were so worth the wait!
Och finally our loveable Scotsman finally meets his match. When Striker meets Edee fireworks go off. She gives as good as she gets. Though eager to explore their mutual attraction Edee puts the brakes on. The next day however she goes missing. Searching for her for years, refusing to give up. When fate finally steps in and they come face to face again both are in denial of their feelings for each other. Striker knows that she has survived a traumatizing ordeal. Denying what he knows in his heart he doesn't want to pressure Edee into a relationship. When her nightmares become a reality Dougal Striker McCracken will stop at nothing to protect his fate mate. . I really enjoyed this story it gave me a full range of emotions, even to laughing out loud. Mandy M Roth is a true story teller who grabs your attention and doesn't let you go until the end and even beyond that. This book is part of a very large series and getting the best out of it I recomend reading it in the preferred reading order, as it gives you background on the characters. There is a sub plot running through the whole of the series whilst another is for that book alone. I have not found a Mandy M Roth book that I don't love. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I've loved all the books in this paranormal world. This book continues stories from Act of Passion and Act of Brotherhood. Wolf Shifter Striker has been searching for Edee since she and her friend Brooke were kidnapped by The Corporation from a fake graduation vacation prize trip to Egypt. We get some of the background on what PSI-Ops were doing in Egypt and the Corporation members who held the two women for 8 months 5 years ago before they were rescued by vampire Armand. Can Striker stop being a pain in the ass in time to keep Edee from running away to protect her friends from the evil guys from the Corporation?
