Rate this book
Being married to a horse doctor requires a sense of adventure, and it will be tested again and again… Justin B. Long, author of the bestselling book, Adventures of the Horse Doctor’s Husband, returns with this sequel to his internationally renowned memoir. Long might be the business brain of the veterinary clinic, but being married to an equine veterinarian keeps his life filled with chaos and excitement. Just when he thinks things have calmed down, the phone rings again.

Much like the first book, this thrilling collection of rip-roaring escapades will tug at your heartstrings and tickle your funny bone. With horses stuck in precarious positions, rental sheep exploits, and his wife’s own horse going through colic surgery, Long takes you on an unforgettable journey through the ups and downs of animal care.

More Adventures of the Horse Doctor’s Husband is a captivating collection of critter capers. If you love animals, you’ll adore this hilarious, delightful, and sometimes heartbreaking behind-the-scenes look at life in a rural vet clinic.

Wonderful for the second time

I'm probably saying the same thing again! But this book like the first one was over too soon. I wanted more stories. Dr Larcher is to be admired, such dedication and patience is rare. She really cares about her patients and the people who own/love them. I hope there's another book in the future.

Wonderful and heartwarming

I loved this. It brought me back to my childhood, being raised with with horses. The author speaks clearly of the special relationship we can have with all animals.

A Delightful Book

I have enjoyed both books in this series and I hope we well be hearing more from Mr. Long. He is a superb storyteller with a smooth, easy to read style of writing. Full of laughter and love, his stories about his own animals had me laughing out loud.

This writer is getting better

In my review of the 1st book I mentioned that the story is very Good but that the writer needed to learn more about writing. And he has. He still has a ways to go so I hope he continues. The stories themselves are great!

Love this author's ability to make the reader feel like they are there on the call, even assisting. The writing style seems so simple but if that is so- how could it make me cry, laugh out loud, feel disgust and feel love? I am addicted. Looking forward to the next one.

A book you can’t put down.

I have absolutely loved reading all 3 books. As a senior who no longer has horses, they bring me back to horse life, and I love it!

Another excellent book in the series. The stories do not always have happy endings, but there's always something to learn from them.

#2 of these and loved every page. Some are harder to read than others but definitely worth the read. Looking for #3 now and hoping for many more to come.
