Libby Duncan has grown to hate the dowdy costume that helped her land a top-notch job assisting CEO Nicholas Tremaine. She’s counting the days until she can let down her hair, toss her fake glasses, and stop being this stern, humorless, unfashionable woman. She only needs a few more months of research and savings before she can come clean about her career ambitions—and her ties to the woman suing Nick for sexual harassment. But a chance meeting in the darkness threatens to derail her plans. Cloaked in shadows, Libby offers Nick a fake name, and they share wicked banter and a bone-melting kiss.

Nicholas Tremaine is being driven mad by women. Between a former assistant falsely accusing him of harassment, his current tight-lipped assistant who lets her hair down at the end of each day unaware she has an audience, and the sensuous mystery woman at the gala who gave him a bogus name despite their explosive chemistry, Nick’s tired of being played the fool and ready to avoid all women. Except his curiosity and body aren’t cooperating.

This was my second book by this author and she wrote another great story! I loved the chemistry simmering between the h and H. Very steamy.
And I enjoy the roller coaster ride trying to figure out how it will end. At times I was nail biting my way through. It was very enjoyable and I definitely recommend this book.

I received this novel via ARC from the author and I loved it. All opinions are my own. ♥️

I'm loving these Old School Romances from Elsa Miles. This time we have the story of Nick and Libby. Libby is working hard to set up her own business. In the meantime, she is working for Nick as his personal assistant. The only problem is that after her estranged stepsister Roxanne lost her job with Nick because she tried to get him into bed and then accused him of sexual harassment, she wanted to make sure that she couldn't be seen in the same way. She has worked there, dressed in drab clothing and hiding behind thick glasses, keeping from Nick who she really is.
I really enjoyed the way that this romance progressed, with Nick finding himself drawn to both Libby as she appears in his office and the Libby that he met without realising who she really was.
The romance between them is great and although there are a few misunderstandings along the way, there isn't anything that feels too forced or unnatural for the sake of the plot. Nick and Libby make a great couple. It takes them a while to get there, but I enjoyed following their journey, every step of the way.
I can't wait to read more of these fantastic Old School Romances. Just the kind of thing that I've been in the mood for lately

Very cute

I enjoyed Libby and Nick's standalone story.
Libby needs funds to start a business with her friend, Dana.
Nick is a handsome businessman, who is going through a sticky situation with Libby's ex stepsister, Roxanne.
This is a cute read, with feels.
Enjoy.
