This is the ninth book in the bestselling series, A World Beyond
Bane Hardusho is one of the famed Jutak Warriors from Team Three fighting for justice. When a potential career ending injury sidelines him, his position within the elite group is jeopardized.
A military rehab center holds the only hope of helping him to get back on his feet. He should be concentrating on regaining his ability to walk, not the beautiful medic assistant assigned to help him.
Dharma Volgi’s time at a military rehab center is almost over and she’s close to gaining her freedom. Complete the assignment and get out. It’s all she can think about in order to survive. Until him. She’s helped soldier after soldier during their time at CV-8 but none caught her attention like the Jutak warrior from Enotia. Now she has a new mission -- don’t fall in love.
With danger looming on the horizon and betrayal around the corner, will their hearts survive the aftermath?
As per usual, Michelle Howard has written a great story in Bane’s Heart. Unfortunately, it needs to be edited as there were numerous typos, sentences that contained the incorrect verb tense and incorrect word usage. And as I have pointed out in reviews of the other books in this series, as well as her other series, she or her editor needs to acquaint themselves with the difference between past and passed, i.e., she passed the salt past her neighbor. Nevertheless, the story is so good that it’s easy to forgive the mistakes (but I will still deduct 1 star for them).
This book tells the story of Bane, a Jutak warrior, and Dharma, a woman who works as a medic in the facility where Bane is attempting to get the bionics in his legs to work with the chip in his brain. Without giving away spoilers, there isn’t much I can say about Dharma except that she is a strong woman.
This book has drama, intrigue, suspense, action and, of course, love and steamy sex. If you’ve never read any of the books in this series, you can still enjoy this book, but reading the series will give you a much greater understanding and enjoyment. Michelle has written another fantastic story and I loved it!
I love this so very much. I'm constantly checking to see if a new one is out yet. Bane's Heart did not disappoint. I'm very sad to know that after one more book this series will be over. I wish I could articulate what this story is about and how wonderfully it was written . Having a mention of D'Lan and the Azar was a very nice touch. I had hoped that they could have a story all there own or in the Azar's case another love. Read this book it will not disappoint you. At. All.
(grito emocionado a mil)
Porfavor lean esta serie ya mis besties. Altamente recomendado.
Who could ever thought that this book it was going to be everything that I expected and more!? Even though there were other things happening in the story, Bane's book has a sweet story and that is everything. I have to admit that I'm so excited to hear Nikol's story, but I am sad that that's going to be the last book. I begged for his story in my last review, but I can't avoid feeling my heart brake just knowing that. BH was so much different than the others, but no less interesting. I liked that Michelle Howard let us see a much bigger picture, it was so good to hear the other small pieces of the Supreme Matire, Vee's mom, and General Azar of the Spectar armies, Kyele's dad. This book is so very special because of all those details. I can't avoid to feel like Bane has something of Spider-Man in him but his Ceraton heritage is very particular, especially with his telepathic ability, the dead chant, and his spidey particularities. All of that only appeals more, it doesn't matter that it's only small moments between him and Mischka, it's in its own way perfect, you get what you need which is a strong bond between them. I really, really loved it! I'm so glad that you waited and checked your notes, and revised many things MH because it was so worth it.
I really love this series and, I was so excited when this new story finally came out. Having said that, I was actually in a bit torn as to my feelings on wether I should I give it a 4 or 5 star. I went with 4 stars mainly because I thought, Bain went through absolute hell after throwing himself in harms way and sacrificing his own well being to save his 'brother-in-arms's woman from getting killed. Then, having his recovery hampered with by the very woman that he ends up with just didn't sit right with me, mainly because she knew he was suffering with it and she didn't say ANYTHING to help him get it sorted, even though she 'liked him a lot'. So, for me, with Bane taking that 'sacrificial hit' and all the subsequent mendacity that followed, he should have been given a woman that was more..... I don't know... more? Anyhoos, sorry, but still enjoyed the story over all, just thought she should have been a more... I don't know, battle ready, heroine, Lara Croft worthy. Yes he loved what he gots.... at first then it went foul and then, well, anyhoos, I just felt he should have had someone ... more.
A wonderful continuation of the world Michelle Howard has created of the Jutak warriors. The author has done a fabulous job of maintaining the storyline while keeping the stories of each warrior new and fresh. As a reader that enjoys series books I would also like to give 5 STARS to the author for noting (at the end of the book) that she will finish the series in the next book. While I love this series of books I am so impressed she is not dragging it out to 15 or more books and allowing her readers the satisfaction of knowing the outcome of the overarching storyline.
Ok I love this author book 9 in the series is another amazing piece. I was drawn in by the characters and I have to admit there were some genuine surprises. It was well thought out and I was riveted from the first chapter. I can't wait to read the conclusion. Although I'm sorry to see an end to this series as I've loved all the characters. Maybe we'll get another book about the characters we've already met. I would highly recommend this series and this author she's fantastic!!!!
I love this series. I'm sad it is almost done. I had been so worried about Bane. The book opens with Bane in rehab. His struggle with the implants. He is crushing on a nurse. At first I worried the reason she was at the facility. Then secrets are harshly exposed. A lot of gunfire, misunderstanding and remorse. A really good love for Bane. I could not put it down! Please let Nikol get a firey, brave mate. To survive Marenia she will have to be. Love, love this series.
It was a great story as well as interesting. It is sad as to how they treat their own females as slaves, at least one has found happiness from hardship. Bane is one of my favorite characters (although Kyele is my number one). I can not wait to read Nikol's story it will be interesting if he will be able to make changes when he gains power. I am sorry that his book will be the last of the series.
This book was just ok for me. I hated the heroine. I did not agree that she never had an opportunity to escape her evil master. She worked undercover 2 years in the medical facility. She could have left at any time or reported to the cops. She didn't.
The heroine raped one of the heroes in an earlier book. She did it under orders to save that guy, because if she hadn't done it, a man would have. That guy is Bane's friend and team mate on the Jutak Warriors squad.
Love this series. Strong Heroes and Heroines. Have to love a sexy man who can catch you in his web...literally.🥰 Anyone who can survive what the heroine did deserves her HEA. Still rooting for maybe a side book for Gen Azur (sp) love a good redemption book. Thanks Ms. Howard
This story could actually be based on truth, and for that reason alone, M. Howard should be given a medal. Fear is a strong motivator, and has been used for a very long time. I pray any who have ever been dealt this type of scenario find with grace, that truth and love matter.
Never a disappointment in the "A World Beyond" series! I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I love Dharma's (Mischka) character and her development throughout the book. Bane is a sexy and amazing character that captured my heart from the very beginning! I'm really looking forward to the next book!
Holy cow! This book was amazing. There was a looot happening in this book the way it jumped to other characters situations that didn't involve the main two much and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Loved it! The plot was amazing. And it definitely was left on a wow moment of 'I wish there was another book'. By far my favorite of the series.
3.5 stars. I was apprehensive about reading this book. The first chapter stunned me. It was only after I received the pre-order for the final book in the series, that I revisited this book. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Not my favorite, but enjoyable. I had a difficult time connecting with the MC’s. I did enjoy seeing the return of the others. It was fun. Recommend.
This book had so many twists. I thoroughly enjoyed reading book book. Brava to Ms. Howard for keeping track of all the characters from others books in the series and including them. Overall, I would recommend reading the entire series. The storyline is engaging and the love interest sexy!!! Who does not love a Jutak!
Bane is not my favorite Jutark warrior but still a good story. Maybe he just to easily forgave Mischka for her actions. Unfortunately there will be only one book left in the series. Can't wait for Niko's story.
A little disappointed in this one. As readers we find out the why of Mischka has done the horrible things. But not the Jutaks. It is still a good read though. Eager to see what happens next.
really loved how Michelle is rounding up the story, however, i've had one too many teasers of thane's story, I NEED CLOSURE.... i really hope i get some in the last book or imma be hella depressed
