Ralph the rooster has big dreams of becoming a superhero. But the other farm animals aren’t so sure―except for Rosie the pig, that is. She’s Ralph’s best friend, and she believes in him. As Ralph and Rosie hang around the farm, there are just no opportunities to be a superhero and save the day...until the farmer turns on the radio, and the “Chicken Dance” song starts playing. POW-WOW! Suddenly it seems that Ralph may have some super powers after all...or does he? Join Ralph and Rosie as they prove that believing in yourself and being a good friend is what makes a true superhero.
My kids loved this book and the dance! They’re all walking around doing the chicken dance! I will be getting more books for them from this author! We found out that being a super hero isn’t has easy as it seems.
Thanks to Amazon publishing and Brilliance publishing for gifting me a copy of this book.
Ralph the rooster wants to be a superhero, but that’s easier said than done. With the support and encouragement from his best pal, Rosie, Ralph finally finds the super booster that he needs...so why is it still so hard to save the day?!
Maureen Wright’s Super Rooster Saves The Day is a sweet, laugh-out-loud tale with humongous humor and heart! Little readers will be charmed by the unforgettable and unflappable Ralph and his bestest friend ever Rosie, as they set out to save the day, resulting in silly mix-ups and wacky hijinks. McClurkan brings the farm to life through bright colors, pleasant nature scenes, and very emotive animals.
Together, Wright’s rousing story and McClurkan’s fun pictures, offer readers a super engaging and funny tale!
This is a funny story with fantastic illustrations! Ralph the rooster just wants to be a super hero, but only one friend on the farm is even supportive of his ambitions. After a few mishaps, Ralph finally gets a chance to save the day.
This is a fun, little book about Ralph the Rooster, who wants to be a super-hero. He learns the chicken dance, which gives him POWER! My g'little loved doing the "cheep-cheep," "flap-flap," "wiggle-wiggle," and "clap, clap" actions during the story! She wanted to read it over & over!
Ralph the rooster desperately wants to be a superhero. His friend, Rosie the pig, believes that he can do it. After he music from a radio and dances to it, he discovers his superpowers and sets out to prove he can be a superhero. But the other farm animals are doubtful from the beginning. And as Ralph's efforts fail, over and over, the animals try to discourage him. But Rosie's faith keeps Ralph trying and finally he finds a situation where he might be able to save the day. But is it too much for him? I enjoyed reading about Ralph and his dream, especially Rosie's continuing belief in him despite appearances. The power of friendship and dreams are strong themes in this story. The bright, colorful, and amusing illustrations match the tongue-in-cheek nature of the story. The puns and descriptive words make this a fun book to read out loud. A funny story that is bound to inspire saving the day adventures in young readers/listeners.
Thank you to Amazon Publishing, and Storygramkids for my complimentary copy !
We meet Ralph , and all he wants , is to be a superhero, and save the day. He goes through different challenges, and obstacles that prevents him , from truly saving the day. The book itself teaches a valuable lesson. That , is to never give up on your dreams , and to always believe in yourself, even when others do not believe in you. Which that lesson itself impressed me ! . I thought the cover was so cute , and the illustrations are beautifully designed!. Overall , I enjoyed the book , and thought it was super cute , and a delight!. I think it's perfect for families with kiddos who love farm animals, and superheroes!. I will be gifting this book to my niece, and nephew!. Thank you for having me on such a fun tour !
Meet Ralph the rooster, who dreams of being a cool superhero like his own personal idols. He could crow, make himself invisible, fly (with a cape), but with a few conditions attached. But the other farm animals? They don't think so. But there is still someone that believes. Meet his best friend, Rosie the pig, who is there every step of the way to encourage him.
He tries to find all kinds of ways to try to help out but to no avail. Whether it's trying to put out a fire, helping the flying geese, and getting rid of baseballs, he does his best but to no avail. Will he ever find that superpower that's his and his alone?
An absolute laugh out loud story with characters that will charm any reader with their antics. I absolutely loved the bright colors and illustrations that brought the story to life.
The art is relatively fun and cute but the real stand-out here is (first time I have ever had this thought I believe) the typography. They delicately flirt with a comic book influence and layouts inflected by panels without ever being so obvious as to just use panels, instead laying text out every which way at different points and a variety of angles and divide the page up the way. One could also choose to read an anti-authoritarian message into this I suppose but it's very gossamer and not pushy to the point that I don't know that it was intentional, which seems about perfect for a kids book.
Adorable book with great illustrations!!! Cute little story about Ralph, his best friend Rosie and the barnyard buddies. Ralph goes through adventures trying to find his super power. He does his special chicken dance which not gonna lie as an adult I wanted to get up and do it LOL. Takes you back to fun with your kiddos. Kids loved the story and it's going to be kept on the bookshelf for awhile ;) I won this book in a goodreads giveaway thank you!
I’m sending a review now because we have been able to see our 7 yr. grandson after almost a year. This is his review...”super rooster was fun to read. My favorite part was the chicken dance and the illustrations were colorful and fun. Was a happy book! I liked that the rooster became a super hero.” We enjoyed watching him read the book...he giggled and laughed. A very nice book of friendship.
I won this book in a giveaway. I absolutely love this book and so does my daughter. She loves the rooster and I love that the drawings are well done that she can identify each animal. I also love the tone of the book. Overall it is a great kids book and one that my daughter now wants me to read to her constantly.
Ralph the Rooster wants to be a superhero, but the other animals don't believe him, except Rosie the Pig. When "The Chicken Dance" comes on, it turns Ralph into a Super Rooster, but it takes some trial and error to figure out what actually needs saving. This would be a fun story for preschool storytime or a early elementary read aloud, and you definitely need to do "The Chicken Dance" afterward.
I won this book as part of a give away and I am so thrilled with it! What an adorable story with fantastic illstrations. I have a pet pig named Rosie, so it made it even more special. What a wonderful, happy book!
Ralph the Rooster dreams of being a superhero, but no one believes he has the skills except his friend Rosie. But when Ralph hears the Chicken Dance, he "transforms" into a super Rooster! But can he figure out how to save the day?
Cute enough with a good dance to repeat with preschoolers.
This is a great read for preschoolers. Quit entertaining and catchy with repetitive phrases. Would recommend. My 4 year old enjoyed the “rooster booster” dance with Ralph.
Loved this! Great lesson about perseverance and believing in yourself when others doubt you without any sad moments. Loved the use of the chicken dance. My son is six and thought this was great.
Super Rooster Saves the Day by Maureen Wright– This is on kindle unlimited. It is a really cute story about being a hero in the little things. Happy Reading!
