I was born and raised in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Wanting to escape life in a big city and concentrate more on working to live than living to work, I moved to the Outer Hebrides in the north-west of Scotland in 2004 and I have lived there ever since with my wife and dogs.

I write post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian and horror fiction. I’ve released fifty books across six different series - Safe Haven, The End of Everything, Unsafe, Relentless, The Burning Tree and Scares in Scotland.

In addition, most of my titles are now available as audiobooks narrated by Kim Bretton, so if you’re one of the many people who struggle to find the time to read, you can listen on the go.

A 10 Star Book

I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I will just say it was a great read. What do you do when you have lost your whole family but have gained a bunch of young mouths to care for and feed? The answer is that you go looking for a safe haven.

It's hard to write a review of this book without spoilers, but here goes my best effort.

Robyn comes into her own in this book after she and Wren are separated. Up until this time, my favorite character in this series was Wren. But, Robyn truly shines this time around when she faces the end of the world by herself.

She meets up with an awesome, kickass German woman named Mila who teaches Robyn some amazing sword skills. Along the way to Inverness for Robyn to try to find Wren, the duo meet some less than desirable people. Some are familiar to Robyn but others seem to be wolves in sheep's clothing.

Christopher Artinian has created a wonderful set of characters and I love the crossover between the EofE and Safe Haven series. These characters have become much, much more than just characters in a book and when they suffer, I suffer along with them.

There is plenty of zombie action, but also a lot of deep emotional stuff going on. I usually have to wait a few days after reading one of these books before I can actually review it. This one definitely has all the feels and only someone with a dead heart will be able to avoid the tissues!

Kim Bretton is one of the best narrators I have ever had the pleasure of listening to and her performance really brings this book to life. I am continually amazed that one person can carry one a three-way conversation with three different voices!

I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book by the author/publisher/narrator and chose to review it.

Hop on the Artinian bandwagon, it's time! Fantastic zompoc series!

The End of Everything, Book 7 by Christopher Artinian and narrated by Kim Bretton is another wow, wow, wow! Every time I think this duo can’t out-do themselves, they do. I highly recommend this series if you are a zombie fan and want a taste of what it would be like in real life if the zompoc hit.

What’s it about? It’s Robyn’s time to shine. With Robyn and Wren separated, Robyn is desperately trying to find her. Only problem is Robyn is suffering from pneumonia and while recovering she meets Mila. The action starts pretty much immediately and is nonstop until the end. It will have you on the edge of your seat not wanting to put the book down. There’s good and bad people throughout. I will not say more about the plot due to spoilers, but this is worth the price, listen, and time.

The narrator, Kim Bretton, really helps to make the characters special. She is easy-to-listen to, good pace, and great voices.

“Our family was kind of hoping the government would get on top of things.”
“Ah yes, blind faith in politicians. That has never ended badly.”

If you’re looking for a series with strong female characters and folks who don’t do stupid things in the zompoc, this is a series for you. I can’t recommend it enough. I would LOVE to see this developed into a TV series.

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: this is the zombie apocalypse- there’s not nice people, death, zombies, violence, or like stuff. Language used: Sx21, Fx1, some swearing in German.

*I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you for allowing me to listen and review the book!

I'm enjoying this series which features the two sisters as the main protagonists. In this book, Robyn has been separated from her sister and so she is on a quest to find Wren. It is my impression that Robyn has changed the most throughout this series and in this story she really shines as she matures and starts to shoulder more responsibility. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this series to others who enjoy an intriguing and amusing story. Kim Bretton's narration is compelling and entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Oh please this can't be the end of everything !!

This is one of the best series I have read. The story line is gripping and leaves you wanting more. It's a real page Turner. Two sisters who in the beginning of the zombie out break don't really get along. As the story progresses they start to become closer.. The story follows them through the ups and downs till they get separated. Both girls are warriors who are trying to stay alive and neither will give up on finding the other. Will they meet up in the end ? You need to read the series yourself to find out.

Another brilliant rollercoaster ride

Hi Christopher, you've done it again. Although I knew the end, kind of because of the crossover in stories, you have left open another massive plot, question and cliffhanger. Can't wait for the next I instalments to both series.

It's kinda spooky reading about one apocalypse when, here in the real world, it feels like we are facing one for real. Maybe the vegans are right and it's our own fault!

You, Tina and wee dog stay safe, we all can do our own Wren and Robyn road trip up to yours if things really do go pearshaped . Xx

Finally

I was holding out for the audio book but finally succumbed and read this bed - staying up until 4am to finish it. I had to know how it ended. It’s filled with so much. It’s certainly not lacking anything and the minute you feel you know what’s coming the author rips on the handbrake so you spin in another direction. And finally the end arrives - I have to say I love happy endings. Robyn is special. The lady said so. As a compliment and if you want to know what I’m talking about what are you doing here reading reviews? Get the book - you won’t be disappointed!

Christopher never disappoints

This was a refreshing and once again greatly written installment in the End of Everything series. I enjoyed finding out what happened to Robyn and the many challenges that ensued as she never gave up hope finding her sister. So much happened and as always you never know what crazy challenge and there were many, that she would face. The ending was great and I shed a tear. I can't believe how emotionally attached I am to these characters. Just goes to show the writing style of the author to draw you in. I can't wait to read the next one!

Samari Sam

This book was amazing, the sense of humour German samari Mila has had tears rolling down my face. After getting separated from her sister, being plucked from the freezing water and meeting a new friend Robyn hits the road again, she seems to meet all the crazies, and that's the live ones. Locked up in a hospital by vegans who strip the meat off people. Then escaping and trekking through the highlands with a bunch of hungry kids looking for her sister Wren while slicing up the undead.

In the preceding books, I have not cared too much for Robyn since she tended to be an insecure, snarky person. In this book, she really rather comes into her own, albeit often reluctantly. I liked Mila (though have learned not to get too attached to characters in this series), but a couple of times she seemed to lose her German accent. The end of this book seemed like a hasty wrap-up with a too-coincidental/convenient-to-be-believed reunion.

I loved this book, I was hooked from the first page and was totally absorbed by the story. Mila was a wonderful addition, teaching Robyn new skills, but the hospital was a shocking twist! I love this series, but this book has been the most dramatic and exciting so far, and Kim Breton's narration is wonderful as always, I can't wait to see what happens next. I received this book in exchanges for my honest review.

I missed Wren by "sheisse", I loved Mila. This story just gets better and better. The narration was excellent!
Mila saves Robin's life. They help each other, strengthening weak spots in each other, realizing they can do more together. The adventures continue. I truly loved this book.

I recommend this series to anyone who loves female protagonists who don't take any guff from anyone in an apocalypse, with zombies. This one has it all!

I love these girls so much. Like I truly love them! How does a guys write them so authentically? He nails it! These sisters, those they meet along the way. Their hearts and courage and just everything! I can’t get enough of them and I hope their story and this world never end.
Also Kim Bretton is my female narrator crush! I love her too!

Robyn and Wren have been separated while running from an attack by waste of skin survivors. This is Robyn's harrowing tale of her journey to find and reunite with her sister and nothing will stop her. A compelling and chilling tale of survival and determination. An amazing addition to a great series, highly recommend this series to any fan of the horror/zombie genre.

Brilliant read

By far my favourite book of the series, Robyn really comes into her own in this book and is now my favourite character out of all of Chris’s books. This book is fast paced, exciting and nerve wracking, it’s written beautifully and the story flows seamlessly. Really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see where it goes. Highly recommended read.

This book was everything I wanted it to be and MORE! It was so nice to see the character development (no spoilers) of someone I have been waiting to see emerge into who they were meant to be - a leader. So many twists and turns and nail biting moments were heavy in this one. Pick up book one and begin your journey now.

Awesome series

I would suggest reading these in the order that the author recommends. Lots of great charachters and lots of action. Surprisingly, even with so many books and characters, it's pretty easy to track. Just when I think "I'm done with the next fight coming....or how many obstacles are there," I'm on to the next book to find out what happens.

Wow!

This ending had me in tears. I was so happy for Robyn. She's gone through a lot since her separation with her sister but it made her stronger. I'm wondering about Mila though. This reunion is different than the one in Safe Haven but I like this one better. It was more shocking. This is an excellent series.
