Batta At this stage in my life, I want nothing more than to settle down. I want an Old Lady and I want to start a family. Too bad my gut is telling me the woman I want more than anything is trouble looking for a place to happen. Tatum is my match in every way. She's intelligent, sassy, and isn't afraid to stand toe-to-toe with me. And she’s sexy as sin. Half the time I don't know if I'm infuriated with her or just that turned on. But Tatum has secrets. And I'll be damned if harm will come to my club because of her. Lies and secrets took my mother, but I won't let them take my current family. But none of that stops me from wanting Tatum so bad it hurts. Tatum Part of my job is keeping secrets. That’s nothing new for me and my sister. My career and her lack of luck in love put us smack dab in the middle of a major kidnapping case—leaving the authorities no choice but to relocate us. With new identities in place, we end up in Devil Springs, right next door to a business owned by the local bikers—the Blackwings MC. As much as we need to ignore these men, circumstances beyond our control force us into their orbit, and then into their world. As if that wasn’t enough, the club Enforcer, Batta, sparks a fire in me that I wasn’t expecting. Now, I’m forced to continue lying to someone about who I am and what I do, when all I want to do is tell him the truth. But my honesty could mean blowing the case and putting my sister's life at risk—not to mention jeopardizing his.

Not my favorite book

This wasn't my favorite book of the series. I loved Batta but I had trouble liking Tatum. There wasn't enough backstory on her and why she was so snarky all the time. I love a fiery heroine but it was like she had a snarky comment for everything. I can't wait to read the next in the series

Batta is interested in Tatum but he knows she has secrets, she is tough as nails and everything he could want in a woman but he needs to find out what she is hiding. Tatum does have secrets and as much as she wants to let Batta in she can't. However once he gets an idea of the kid of woman she is she hopes that he will continue to stand by her side.

This was not what I expected and had been a little reluctant to pick it up but this one exceeded expectations. I loved the chemistry with Tatum and Batta. Batta has a whole story I was not expecting and you get why he doesn't trust easily. Wonderful story.

A little confusing at times. This is Betta's and Tatum's story. I will tell you that this book started with Tatum and her sister opening a book store next door to the MC's gym. You will figure out quickly that is not what they are really doing.

Batta is at the age of ready to settle down. After what happened to his family at a time when he needed both of his parents as a teenager but lost both, he hates when someone is keeping secrets.... more so with females but secrets in general..

With these two you don't know if it was love at first sight or hate at first sight . If you look at Goodreads for all the books in this series there's one missing... it's the last book for now and it's Bear's book. Now off to book #5

Omg absolutely LOVED this story!! Tatum’s snarky comments made me laugh so hard. She and Batta made the perfect couple, the ying tothe others yang. A definite page turner as you’re continually trying to figure out what Tatum and Josie are doing to Devil Springs. Not to mention the several different evils after the girls and the club. Great story!

They just get better

Seriously these books. So entertaining so well written. I really enjoy the blackwing books. I was tearing up a few pages in and laughing by the end. You don't need to have read the other books to enjoy the awesome that is Batta but I highly recommend you go ahead and read way back to Dash on thru it's well worth the time.

This is hands down Teagan Brooks greatest book yet. And that’s saying something because she has set the bar SO HIGH with each and every book. Batta is like she went and turned up everything to max levels. Max heat, max humor, max suspense. This book has it all and then some. By far it is one the best MC reads of 2020.
Now, you’d think I’d be all over here gushing over Batta himself (and I will 😂) but Tatum is who stole the show here. I want to be her when I grow up. Witty, sarcastic and b@d@$$ she had me in tears from laughing so hard constantly. She holds her own against these rough bikers more than any other heroine that’s been introduced. I just freaking loved her!
And now onto my Batta gushing, this man *sigh* he’s going to steal your heart. His past is heartbreaking, but it shows just how deep the love in this brotherhood runs. He’s one of those men that may have a bit of a wall up, but once that wall comes down he loves with a fierceness that’s is breathtaking.

3.5 Stars.

This was a fun, adventurous MC romance featuring a kickbutt heroine with a witty personality and a lot of banter. Batta is dealing with losing his mother traumatically as a teenager and also craving a long term relationship when he’s rescued by undercover FBI agent, Tatum. Sparks fly along with banter, fun, general hijinks and one-liners leading to a really satisfying ending. If there’s one thing I think was a struggle about the book, it was that I struggled to make heads or tails about the crime plot with organ trafficking and what the situation was with Tatum’s sister and Adrianna. I feel like those aspects of the book had the most potential but that potential was really underdeveloped and ended up feeling a little patchy. Nonetheless, I still really enjoyed this and it’s one of my favourites in the series.

I found this one interesting...interesting how Batta got his name, interesting how he reacted to things with Kennedy and interesting in how he reacted to Tatum. The first 2 were kinda sad, the last was a roller coaster. I didn't get why he hated her so much at the start, when she saved him. The hate continued when he thought she was hiding things from him, even as he was attracted to him. Tatum was strong and stood up to Batta and all the other guys in the MC. I loved more that you never knew what would come out of her mouth, often funny, as long as you weren't he person she was slinging the words at.

It was great to see things resolve in a good way, better was the bonus that Tatum helped secure. Now these 2 can live their lives happy.

Just ok for me

This read was just ok for me, and so far my least favorite of the other books in the series. A lot of jumping around and not much character development for my taste . Story line felt rushed to me.

I’ve read most of the MC books by this author and it might sound strange for me to say that I don’t find them that good after I kept on reading each one but I feel like this is the last I’ll touch.

Tbh I enjoy MC books generally because they have first of all: 1. Continuity(there are several members and we get to known them more and more through each book and end up anticipating their individual story)
2. Family/Brotherhood (I love stories that have that, people that have each other’s back, friendship that is unconditional, a sense of community and family)
3. Badass vibes, getting stuff done if there is a threat, protective instincts towards loved ones and so on...

Basically I mostly enjoy a mellowed out version of one percenters.. I’m not into the dark ones although I can tolerate it of done well. I don’t enjoy the ones that push my buttons too much when it comes to treatment of women because that is a recurring theme but I do look the other way on a lot of issues just so I can enjoy the full picture.

Now Teagan’s books are not too extra, which I like, there is that Brotherhood aspect check, Badass vibes check, continuity check. The sex scenes in some of the books are very biker worthy with some dominant undertones but it’s done well which I can appreciate because in most books those kind of scenes really bother me. Rough, dominant play can only work in certain circumstances for me otherwise it feels like the male character puts pressure on the female to accept his rough ways and she does cause duh love.

Now what I don’t like in this books and her books in general is that in most of them I can’t connect to the characters I don’t feel their love or attraction to each other. The story can also be annoying and over the top and there are plot holes. Just how some stuff doesn’t make sense and could be avoided because now everyone just looks dumb.

Right so there ya good,it’s a good pass time for MC books lovers but it’s not something that you’ll remember after the one week mark.

Another one that I would love to give all the stars. It's like all Ms. Brooks writes is perfection. This series is still going strong and this book shows it.

Also, FINALLY GETTING A BOOK FOR MY MOST FAVORITE CHARACTER OF THE SERIES, BRONZE!!!!!!!! I'm so happy about that💜

Hot, steamy, action packed MC thriller - Best of the series’ to date!

I do NOT consider this to be a STAND-ALONE read. It is part of a spin-off series that contains multiple reoccurring characters from the previous stories from this series and the original Blackwings MC series. There are also details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe / world building, overlapping / concurrent timelines and overarching themes.

⛔️ The series contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure, “bottom” play, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, black market deals, drug use, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, etc.

** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **

There are very few grammatical issues primarily comprised of incorrect word choice and tense, punctuation errors, missed words and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

There are a few twists within this story and it is written with a sense of humor. There were actually a few scenes that I couldn’t help but LOL and had tears at one time. I loved me some “Taylin / Tatum” and Batta. I was wondering how Teagan Brooks was going to make Batta available since he has had a girlfriend, Kennedy, for several stories and it was handled in such a way that it contributed to the storyline with some ongoing angst.

There are a lot of action sequences and some mysteries to be solved. Between those and the hot and steamy intimate scenes (best of the two series to date imo), I gave this 5 stars. This story also provided some additional opportunities for future spin-off series.

I did really enjoy it but loads of inaccuracies.

Hmm not sure how to review this. Tatum is an FBI agent, (The author for some reason tries to hide this fact. It’s so obvious.) when she hears shots fired in the Mc’s gym next door, she rushes over and saves the lives of Bronze and Batta. For whatever reason (?) the club decides that it’s her fault as she’s hiding secrets, and Batta is horrid to her. When he realises that it’s nothing to do with her, he makes it up to her by having lots of sex. 😂 (Wish my hubbie did that.) Tatum is not allowed to tell anyone her mission, and it’s really confusing what that is. Tatum is really mouthy and Batta knows how to treat her, and he’s strong enough to cope with her, which to be honest I found her really annoying at the beginning. While they’re having lots of hot sex, they somehow manage to fall in love. I’m not sure how as they don’t know anything about each other. I get that she’s not allowed to talk about her mission, but she doesn’t say anything about her childhood. He doesn’t either! Tatum doesn’t know that he has a brother in another Mc club, until near the end. I didn’t either. As it’s not mentioned. I did enjoy it but I’m not sure why. As it’s so confusing as we don’t know her mission.

The complaints.

1) SUGAR TITS IS AN AWFUL NAME!!! Batta calls Tatum it all the flaming time and I hated it!
2) The names are so similar that it’s confusing. Tatum is called Tay for short, Batta’s real name is Trey. So Tay and Trey??? There’s River, and Riley, and I’ve no clue who Nolan is.
3) There is no way that as an FBI agent Tatum, would be allowed to get away with disrespecting her boss Luke. She does it all the time, disregarding orders & she goes off on her own to confront a mafia boss.
6) If you’re going to write about anal sex, DO IT RESPONSIBLY! Don’t write it that they just do it and it’s amazing, without any prep work!!!
7) As mentioned above, I wish the writer had clued us in to Tatum mission. As it was really confusing what she was doing.
8) The end was a bit crazy. I still don’t know why they’re using a bookshop in their case. It didn’t make sense.

So there you go. Loved it and disliked it in equal measure.

If your in a book slump, look no more. One click buy!

Fecking fantastic! Batta( aka Trey ) and Tatum are a brilliant couple, they match each other in strength, love, and b@d@$$€®y! I loved Tatum, just by reading the sample I knew she would become a female favorite character! She was awesome, a smart@$$ and could kick anyone's
@$$! She was a strong self assured female character that knew herself and her "differences" from other females and accepted herself. She didn't care what anyone thought of her or her tactics and she rarely apologized for them! I fecking loved her!!! Batta ah Batta, strong, commanding total alpha male all the way. But he was also Kind and caring and still the little boy who lost both parents in the matter of days. I loved these two characters, loved the story and every single character ( minus the @$$hole characters). Each book can be standalone but all characters crossover so if recommend reading them all. This book has everything I look for in a book: commanding dominant male characters but not jerks to their females, sexy times, mystery, action and drama! Did I mention sexy times with a big bad hot MC character, I did well it bears mentioning again! Whew fanning self! I want to be apart of this world!!
As always with MC, FBI and Italian mob type books suspend some reality, don't look to close to the legal and medical parts of this book! Also, I'd really like to know who won the bet! 4.75 stars

Brilliant !

With every fiber of my being I can't stress enough how much I adore Teagan Brooks and her merry men of Alpha Hotness . The Blackwings MC series is one of my top favorites in the MC genre and I promise you , you will not be disappointed in taking a chance on reading this series if you haven't already done so.
With every book Teagan knocks it out of the Ball Park . Just when you think it can't get any better BOOM ! Another hit and run.
I keep telling myself with each book the main character is better than the last but let's face it I'm a proud book whore and I'll have them all thank you very much . .

Batta's book was amazing and Tatum was perfect for Batta . Both bada$$ , both stubborn , both a little bit broken and both exactly what each other needed.

It was awesome to see officer's Dunk and Underwood make an appearance once again those cops could be the next Cagney & Lacey , nudge nudge wink wink.
But seriously I'd recommend Teagan's books to everyone she's one of my go to authors and I one click her books without even reading a blurb. I wish I could give Batta more then five stars it was everything.

I absolutely HATE the character Tatum. I have read every single book thus far by this author and I have loved each one and EVERY character so far. I expected far more and stayed up late the night before to finish the prior book just to get to this particular story. There is no way on God's green earth any woman can be like or relate to the main character in this book which turns me off and quite literally makes me want to jump through the book and punch Tatum in the face. There no one and I mean NO ONE has the reactions to a situation that Tatum does which makes the story seem unbelievable. I had to MAKE myself pick up the book and finish the chapters of her story just to get through 67% of the book. This series is in first-person narrative and is the first of its kind that I have enjoyed to the fullest. It sucks when you find a good series that has everything perfect and then you stumble into a bad character at the end. I have 30% left of the book and will choke through it, but it is a good thing this one is at the end because I would not have continued the series if it was first. Overall the female main character is unbelievable and annoying to read about.

Trey and Tatum

This book surprised me. I wasn’t sure how Batta was going to get his book when he’d had a steady girlfriend since the first book in this series, but Teagan Brooks did a perfect job of explaining why he was suddenly single. While this was definitely the spiciest book in both Blackwings series, it was also the funniest.

Tatum was hilarious. She had no filter and no problem standing up to anyone. Her pranks were hilarious and on point and her ability to drive all the men in her life crazy just added to her general character. Tatum’s relationship with Trey started out pretty rocky. He was convinced the attempt on his life was related to her secrets, on top of not liking secrets to begin with. This led to some great banter between Tatum and Trey. I also loved that she was able to be vulnerable with Trey, which was a huge step for her.

I was surprised by the emotional backstory Trey had. He seemed like the big, bad enforcer, but there was a lot of depth to his character that came out in this book. He and Tatum made a great couple and I loved the way they got their happy ending.

I've really been enjoying the Blackwings MC - Devil Springs Series books, but this one...not so much. It's a shame too because I was looking forward to Batta's book because I love hulking guys. That wasn't played up as much as I thought it should have been. Then there was the incoherent plot that was just all over the place. I had to read and re-read so many times. It felt like key details were left out of each scene. And lastly, there was Tatum. Sigh. She is the epitome of what I hate the most with "feisty" romance females. Play the game of who has the bigger balls? Check. Loud mouth and obnoxious? Check. Putting herself in extra danger just because? Check. Poor Batta. Maybe someday an author will realize that a badass woman doesn't need to be a mouthy obnoxious b!#&h. She can just...be and allow her actions to speak for themselves.

I'm not even going to try to do my usual blurbby summary thing because I'm not even sure what happened. lol I still really like this series. This book is just a dud. It's a shame to waste Batta like that too. Oh well.

Swoon worthy.....

TEAGAN!!!! Girl you did good with Batta!! I will admit it was touch and go in the beginning, you know with all the tears I cried. Then BAM you made up for it with the most kicka$$ heroine in Tatum. I think she is my spirit animal. Her sarcastic no filter mouth is the bestest thing in the world. That's right I said bestest.... She had me laughing with some of things she would say, and hell with some of the things she did. I will say the little twist you threw in there surprised me. I truly didn't see that coming.
Batta and Tatum are perfect for each other. They bring out the best in each other. His alpha side is hot, and the two of them together is sweet and explosive. He gives her what she needs and in return she submits to his. I am so looking forward to seeing who is next, because these men just keep getting hotter and hotter.
