After a sudden, life-altering accident, Finn Conner became the head of the family, the senior member of the family business, and the man that his brothers looked up to for strength while the world around them crumbled. His life is in limbo, waiting on the other shoe to drop. Before that can happen, he walks into his office and finds an intruder there, competently taking over and instantly making his life brighter, happier, and more organized.
Lena Sullivan has made it through the storm a stronger woman. A new life back in her hometown seems promising, especially when she lands a great new job and meets the handsome man that signs her paychecks.
Even though both of them know that dating each other could spell trouble, the risk is worth it. But, can they get through everything else that life has in store for them, and come out together on the other side?

I really enjoyed this book. I've been in a bit of a reading slump. Lena and Finn were super cute together. The connection between the Connor family was extremely wholesome and entertaining. I had hoped that there was an epilogue but it is understandable since its part of an interconnected series.
All in all four-star rating

Finn Conner is still grieving from an accident that catapulted him to the head of the family. He knows he has to get his life in order quickly to make way for the next chapter in his life. Hiring Lena Sullivan is just what he needed, she is everything he could want in a woman. Will she balk though when she finds out how much responsibility he has though or will she be the shoulder he desperately needs to lean on?

There is so much that happens in this book I was intentionally vague in description. This was a terrific read, I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters in this one and am anxious for the next book.

Waaaaaaay too much contrived melodrama. Why can't I find a m/f author like Kristen Ashley?

I really liked how Lena and Finn met and the connection that they had. I liked that they were willing to explore things despite her just being hired at the company. Lena did a great job of reigning in all the boys and keeping the business going. I was really thrown when we learned what happened to Finn's family and how all the brothers were stepping up. It was a lot for them and I understood why Finn was reluctant to tell Lena, not because he was hiding it, more that he didn't want to face it and telling her made it more real.

The last bit of the book was crazy! From what Lena went through to how Finn reacted. I liked the hard line that the brothers and Lena took, Finn needed to see how wrong he was in things.

This one ended in a great way! Loved it showing everyone who was important to this family in on the this big event.

First from this author for me. I struggled between 3and 4stars buy went with three. Safe read. I just don't get his reasoning for keeping his secret. He was about to take on his niece and nephew, from his twin sister, but kept telling her he didn't want darken her light. No matter what, this is not a secret to keep. She took it in stride. I'm not a fan of being thrown over the shoulder and hit her to do what you want. Just one of my things. Otherwise the story was good if not a bit unrealistic at times. I'm still going to read the next in the series.

Loved it !

A friend recommended this author to me and I wasn’t sure at first . I’m so glad I tried her because I love this family . The brothers and their banter were hilarious. Lena was an amazing heroine and became part of the family effortlessly. I loved Finn too and he’s not my typical type of book boyfriend but the whole group of the boys together just made me fall in love with them . That being said this book made me run through so many emotions . I laughed , I cried, and I smiled until my cheeks hurt . I just love the family feel of this book. I can’t wait to read the other brother’s stories .

Finn

This is book 1 of the Conner Bros. It's set in Rojo, Tx, like the Kings & Knights series.
With fun cameos of some of our favorite Dukes & Forresters, this book was a great read! I love these Conner guys & and I am excited to hear all their stories!

I have to say this one made me cry more than a few times. Some very sad parts and some a little dark too. But it’s a very good story, and I highly recommend it for a stellar emotional journey.

This is the 2nd timing reading this and I laughed so much at times I was crying. I have read all of the Texas Kings MC Series and I must admit that in Luke & Liberty's book I was not impressed with Lena at all but in this one she was epic.

I'm giving it 5 stars because I love the family dynamics. Finn and Lena are perfect for each other. This book was very emotional - the tragedy that the brothers were living through and Lena and her demon spawn step mother. I also laughed a lot - the antics between the brothers and with Lena's mouth.

Nice addition to Rojo, Texas!

This is the start of a new series set within Rojo, Texas. It can be read as a STAND-ALONE story, but would be better to read it in the recommended order. This can be found on Cee Bowerman’s website (ceebowermanbooks.com). This is for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are multiple reoccurring characters, details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe (world building), with past and concurrent timelines and overarching themes.

** There are some scenes that will be a trigger for sensitive readers. I have included examples below. Also, if you have not read the previous story in this series, the following may contain SPOILERS **

Another great story in Rojo, Texas! This story introduces the Connor family that has suffered an unbelievably heartbreaking tragedy, but a miracle as well. Multiple family members were killed in an auto accident, including their parents and two sisters, one of which was pregnant with twins. With the intervention of modern medicine, she has been able to gestate the twins so they are more likely to survive.

Lena, aka Milena, is having a day. She moved back to Rojo to take care of her dad when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He passed a few months ago and she has continued to try and deal with her stepmother from he11 because she is the only pseudo relative that Lena has left living. After working a double shift to cover for another waitress, being hit on by the creepy guy that is related to the owner, called / texted every so often about chores she hasn’t done yet by the stepmother, Lena comes home to find some of her clothes in trash bags and being told she has to get out.

During a phone call to get some help moving her items, Lena also finds an apartment. This was the wake up call she needed to get on with her life. Fast forward 2 months and she goes for a job interview at Connor Brothers Construction company. The door is unlocked, despite no one being there, and the phone keeps on ringing and ringing … one phone call after another. So Lena does what comes natural, she answers the phone and starts taking messages. Then she notices the desk is a mess, so she starts organizing the papers into different stacks. Multiple calls later and the phone rings again and there is an angry man on the phone wanting to know WHO exactly is answering his office phone …

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, (play) spanking for pleasure, restraints, “bottom” play, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, rape, attempted rape, stalking, threats, subterfuge, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females, etc.

** Caution: The series contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **

There were only a couple of grammatical issues in the story and a couple of things I noticed that just didn’t fit. A couple of things I found included an incorrect word choice and missed color. All in all, a very well-written story. I highlighted a couple of the issues I found in this story specifically and uploaded it to Goodreads.com for anyone interested.

The other thing that wasn’t addressed was the lottery ticket Lena is given in the very beginning. Not sure why it was listed in the story if it isn’t going to do anything.

I am mentioning these issues for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

Disappointing construction themed read

I was looking forward to this new series and hoping it would be catchy. Unfortunately, it left a LOT to be desired.
Spo iler ish content to justify rating.
Again, this story was over flowing with kids, baby and more children. This has been an extremely over done story element in all the series so far pretty much by this A.
This story included an extremely SAD plot line that was uncharacteristic against the other series by this A.
Another slightly unbelievable family set up.
This main H, Finn, was the head of the family’s construction company. There was NO hard core, or bad boy element to him or his family. They’re just normal every day guys running a construction company.
When a hard core moment needed to take place, Clem and some of the guys from the MC came into play and handled business. So really, there was no attraction or bad boy element to Finn to make him desirable. And frankly, by adding the MC guys into this story just made me wish for their books instead of this new series instead.
Had this book been set in a different town and or state, perhaps I wouldn’t have felt that lacking excitement element cause this series would be removed from the far more interesting one.
There was an obvious error mentioning Clem early on and his patch on his vest. Hopefully this gets corrected. He was mentioned to be in the wrong MC according to his vest.
It was also frustrating that one release day this story was not initially on KU. After consulting with the Zon, I was told that a’s who do pre release orders CAN set up the book to go immediately to KU when it releases. This A said otherwise.
This story is definitely a KU read and I love that the Zon offers such a great program.
I’ll likely grab more in this series out of curiosity WHEN it hits KU. But if you’re looking for an exiting read, keep looking.

3 stars,

You do not need to read the other books she has written to read this, yes there are cameos of her other characters but they aren't pivotal to the story, so you can get by without knowing their full story.

This book was good, very much insta love which isn't my favorite trope, but when done right I can enjoy it.

Lena and Finn were cute together, they did start off right when they met, so that was a little shocking to me, but it fit.... somehow. Don't ask me how but my brain was like, "yes you just met for a job, got it and now you are going on a date with your boss, yes that works for me. As well as meeting his whole family and getting a brand new car..yes that seems like an every day occurrence." I question my sanity sometimes.

I think the thing that bugged me was the editing, I felt like the same scene happened a few times within the span of pages, but the dialogue was almost identical and what they did was pretty much the same. I felt like she was choosing between what to put in and accidentally left both options. That confused me for a little bit, but then I went with it and chose which option I liked better, haha.

I loved the dynamic of the brothers, it reminded me of the Winston Brothers by Penny Reid.

I enjoyed the writing and the characters enough that I am thinking about reading her other MC romance series. Hopefully the editing is better than this.

When your on rock bottom, the only way you can go is up right? Milena has left her fiance, after finding him banging her best friend on her desk, this right after finding out her Dad had terminal cancer.
After caring for him under the shadow of her bitch step mum until his death, she is waitressing and miserable. Heading home to discover the dragon has evicted her from her child hood home, she is at her wits end.

Finn is mourning the loss of his parents, sisters and best friend, and his sister was pregnant with twins. Keeping her body alive to bring those babies alive is what she wanted, so he visits when he can, at the same time trying to sort out the family construction business. His brothers are there with him every step of the way. A family of twins, they understand the hard choices Finn is faced with.

Fate threw them together in the form of a job offer, and the ball starts rolling. What fate bought together, trials and tests will try and pull apart, but Finn and Lina pull through and get their own HEA.

Another amazing read from Cee Bowerman. And I cannot wait to read more stories from Conner Brothers Construction. 5 stars

Cee Bowerman got greedy

I was truly onboard with this book at the start. I was like yes, meet someone, give in to your attraction, immediately without thought hold hands and just go for it. 4 STARS! I was touched and teary eyed at the birth and the memorial but then Cee Bowerman ruined this 4 star book with an outlandish storyline within in months of the death of Finn’s family. It was too much. Then Lena is in the hospital and then we’ve got the nanny from Hell and just NO! I’m not a prude or uptight but all the fing cursing in this book…WHY? It was odd and out of place. I wish Bowerman would rewrite this one. I begrudgingly gave this book 3 stars but I did it because the parts that were good and relatable really hit. As many fast writers do they create realities where love is win or lose but really love does not need adversity to prove itself. It can just be a love story that is healthy, happy, funny, and all things positive.
STEAM = 10; it’s not really steamy as much as it is a genuine, believable attraction to one another. The author does a good job evoking this feeling from the reader.
SEX SCENES = Yes; surprisingly hot

This book was terrible.

I’ll try my hardest not to rant, but the FMC did my head in.
Talk about ingratiating yourself into someone’s life a minute after meeting. She was too full on, too involved without shame, calling herself mama to those twin babies. Sorry but that screams stage five clinger.

And then ups and leaves over him getting a nanny. Like she’s gods gift to mothers and knows everything.

She was in your face and in not in an endearing way. I cringed so hard.

He was weak as shit.

Now the drama. Seriously. Like seriously? The whole family were twins? Is that even possible? Let me Google that… okay it’s says yes but rare and generally if they’re fraternal. These guys are identical so doesn’t add up.

Then the whole death of 5 members of their family. Then the painful FMC gets kidnapped by a completely unrealistic stepmother (waaaaaay OTT character), then nearly loses her life again from leg infection. Like seriously? It became a joke, I couldn’t take anything seriously. I have eye strain from them rolling so much.

I’m following Cee’s reading order. Might need to skip this series as I suspect CBC is not going to get better.

OMG! This Book! I just finished it and I want to start over again just so I can stay in these guys lives. There is such humor and tragedy but it is also so full of love. Many times I was just about full on crying while reading. Other times I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants! Lena and her smarty mouth, Finn and his sweetness and his brothers and their beards...well except Chess and he has charm. I have many passages highlighted so I can do a quick glance and get that fun feeling back.

The characters? They are on this side of amazing! Each one with their own personality but yet all the same. They are very inspirational! Sticking together, helping out and loving Lena. I loved them all and not just the brothers but the other secondary characters as well.

This is my first book by this author. I can’t believe it took me this long to read her stories. I liked the crossover and am now inspired to check out her MC’s. That will fill my time until the next in this series comes out.

So I really really wanted to hate this book due to hell the heroine Lena acts and behaves in a previous book she’s mentioned in i.e. Luke of the Texas Kings MC. Anyways while I didn’t hate the book I still very much very much cannot stand Lena and due to the fact that Vi and Lonnie jumped on the bandwagon of disliking the fact that Luke was going to marry their sister liberty in Luke’s book. I also will not continue with the rest of the series which really pisses me off because I think the Connor brothers are great people anyways onto this book it had everything the ups the downs the tearjerker moments the happy moments but for someone who read Luke’s book before this book I was not able to enjoy it as I should’ve been able to. So I don’t know if this review will help anyone but if you get this review before you read Luke’s book then you will love this book because you wouldn’t have met Lena yet.

I received an ARC copy of Finn in exchange for an honest review from the author. It does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

How do I even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book!? This was my first time reading one of her books and most certainly not my last! I loved the little glimpses of the MC world (which made me super happy). I felt like I was on a roller coaster just inching towards that top of the hill just waiting for that moment when everything just started going downhill. I KNEW drama had to happen at some point. Man, I don't have enough words to describe how much I loved Finn and Lena's story! I am SOOO excited for all the brothers' stories! I am in love with this big family and cannot wait to see more & get caught up on all Cee's books!!! LOVED!

Great book, grammatical issues

I loved the story! I laughed, I cried (a lot) and thoroughly enjoyed the characters in this book. I can’t wait to read the other brothers’ stories and also the MC series that is a part of this world.

The only thing letting this book down was the grammar and some errors that left me rather confused. Sometimes the POV changed between characters and the personal pronouns suddenly referred to a different character altogether. Also, the dialogue was often continuous without any descriptive narrative to attribute who the dialogue belonged to. Lastly, the justification of text was left justified and made the book difficult for me to read.

Other than that though, it was actually a fabulous story and the emotions of the characters bled over to me as I read the book and fell in love with the characters. Solid 4 stars.

Finn is book 1 in the new series Conner Brothers Construction written by the talented author Cee Bowerman. Loved Finn and Lena's story! It was deep, emotional and heartwarming. Great start to a new series!Cee has become one of my favorite authors! This story will grab your heart from page 1 & not let go until the end, you will laugh and cried with the second amazing characters, you will get to see some old friends from the MC in her other series. In all this book has everything; drama, humor, family banter, bit of suspense, 7 HOT brothers, strong sexy women, lots of twins, grief, hot steamy scenes, family loyalty, so much LOVE, bit of suspense, no cliffhanger and a charming HEA. I can only hope that the next book is Chess and Lily's story! A MUST READ!!!!

A fantastic beginning to this series

This was an emotional roller-coaster of a story. Through the tragedies, heartbreak, devastation, grief, and loss, these two lost souls found one another at the perfect time to help each other heal. With lots of humor, awesome family and friends, two surprise miracles, and unconditional love, it's definitely a story that you won't want to miss!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

There are characters from the Texas Kings MC and the Texas Knights MC included in this story, which I was happy to see. If you haven't already read these series', I would highly recommend them! They're awesome stories, and you certainly won't be disappointed.

Dear Readers ,
From the Word go .. you are on your seat !!
It’s fast paced & Sweet , Sassy & oh so emotional.
ATLEAST for me it was. Just the thought , of the heartbreak in this happening in real life will bring you to your knees. LENA & FINN make up for the tears with their amazing chemistry. It’s like God put them on the path to each other.

She’s breaks you & puts you back together in this one !!

I love CEE BOWERMAN CONNECTED WORLD.
Only a few authors have done this with wonderful flow . Interweaving the series .

Catch her reading order for the best flow !!

I read most of the Kings before realizing this.

I love this book! Can’t wait for the rest of the series now! I’m especially looking forward to angus book. But the reason for the 4 star rating was cause I noticed a error in the book. Normally I wouldn’t care but some reason this bothered me. So it was stated in Chapter 5 that’s Lena was wearing Skull Leggings when they were at the grocery store, but When they finally got to Finns house & had sex it said “I whispered, reaching down to unbutton my jeans.” Just bothered me a little.

Other then that I have no other complaints. I will say as a reader I love when authors add chapters & a table of Contents to there books. I know that in your previous books there wasn’t stuff like that. I love the changes & added stuff. Keep it up Cee! Can’t wait to read rest of your books!!

Small Town ✔️
Insta Love ✔️
Conflict ✔️
Funny Family Dynamic that had my stomach hurting because I laughed so much ✔️

I adored this book so much. I love that Finn and Lena got together and their relationship progressed at the speed of light. Their relationship was pure and they had a fun banter. I also love Finn's family, they were so funny. The fact that they were all twins was insane, God love their mom because I don't know how she did it. They are a loving family as well which made my heart warm.

The conflict was my favourite thing, it was intense and had my heart skipping a beat and not in a good way.

I could not put this book down, I just loved everything about it. It had me laughing and crying on countless occasions. Cee Bowerman did an incredible job with this book.

The only thing I will say is that this series is a part of a shared universe of other books by Cee Bowerman and it is suggested by her to read them in a specific order so you know all the characters and plots follow each other which I did not know until after I finished this book.

What a fabulous book. Finn is the first in the series of the Conner Brothers and what a read. Finn and Lena meet when Lena goes for a job interview with Finn. The attraction is instantaneous. Through this book you meet the rest of the Conners, have glimpses of the Texas Kings and Knights and watch a love story unfold that is shrouded in immense heartache. This book will definitely give you the feels.
For a new author Cee is an amazing writer. If you haven't already I highly recommend you read the other series by her as well. While this book is a start of a new series, it does contain cross over characters from the other series.

Can you say AMAZING!!?!?

I freaking floved this book. I'm loving all the brothers...twins!! I'm a twin myself so this book I could relate to. We have four sets of twins in my family. If I were to lose my twin sister would be so devastating. She is my heart and other half of my soul. I do can relate to Finn.
This book, storyline and love of each other touched my heart.
This book had a great storyline, sexy alpha men, humor, a strong willed female, angst, hot AF sex scenes and most importantly love.
Can't wait to see whom is next of the Conner Brothers.
I highly recommend this book.

Holy hotness in a book!

Let me start by saying, this is the first book I’ve read by this author, it won’t be my last!
Lena...our h...strong, resilient, funny, take no prisoners!
Finn...our H...funny, loving, strong, kinda dumb like most men in some situations.
I absolutely loved this book!
There was everything and more! Funny moments, moments that made me cry, babies, brothers, a touch of some MC men, crazy stepmom, the stalker and even the “know it all”.
I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say, I’m a picky reader. If I could have given this book more than 5 stars, I would have!
