The moment magician Julian Storm saw Anna Chapel standing at the back of the theater during one of his rehearsals, he knew she was meant to be his. After spending a long month trying to hunt her down while she ran in the opposite direction, Julian resorted to kidnapping her off his stage during a disappearing act.
Anna had zero interest in celebrities…until she met Julian. The sexy magician refused to let her ignore the chemistry between them, and he was determined to show her that fame meant nothing compared to her love.

Steamy, hot and sweet! Lovely couple and a perfect HEA with their two kids! Can't wait for Zack's story. Safe: heroine is a virgin, no info about hero, no other man, no other woman drama.
Our hero is a famous magician in Vegas, who takes one look at the heroine in the audience and falls for her. He then plans to woo her, but she ignores his attempts, only for him to take matters into his hands and kidnap her. After a lot of back and forth, they get their HEA.
For some reason, it didnt hit the right spots for me.
We back in vegas and we have alittle magic in the air. It's short novella super insta and super fluff and Alpha..
Julian has been watching Anna for a month he cant get near her since she always busy or she always avoiding him. But he spots her in his audience now he has a plan and he's sticking to it. As for Anna she is angry and annoyed that Julian kidnapped her during a magic act, also giving him a piece of her mind that she cant date him. It's against rules at the casino 🤣🤣🤣 Oh Anna your new boo these cavemen at that place say fuck it to rules, and she learns when Julian kidnaps her again to prove his point. Now he's showing her he truly does care for her and wants a life for her, even when her past comes knocking on their door.
We get a hint of Zacks story and some girl he carried over his shoulder.. I want one to know some moves and lay one of the guys in their backs lol

Nice addition to the Vegas series. Anna and Julian have the usual spark and chemistry. Loved how Julian stood up for Anna against Dirk. Completely safe and sweet epilogues.
Plot: World-class magician Julian has wanted Anna since he first saw her, but she keeps avoiding him. They work at the same hotel but he can't seem to catch her eye. He decides to make her part of the show - if he puts her in a box and kidnaps her, she'll have to talk to him. But Anna has reasons for not wanting to be involved with a celebrity. Can she be brave enough to open herself up to love?
Character development: This is the one out of the series that I was most worried about. There is nothing about magicians that I find sexy. I think of bad facial hair, tall and lanky with likely dyed hair, poor social skills, etc. That's probably highly offensive to someone. And tbh, Julian Storm didn't really cure me of that feeling. And he wasn't really good at hunting down his woman not compared to the other guys in the series. But Anna was the sweetest ever, so as long as she's happy, I'm okay with it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is hard to top the Love Series, so for me this book was a little disappointing.
I really liked it, but it wasn’t super smutty. There was a lot of hero in pursuit and insta-love, but no breeding or any other fun stuff.
Anna was a very sweet heroine and I liked her. She didn’t really want anything to do with the hero.
Julien was pretty hot, but he isn’t my favorite Fiona Davenport hero.
I really enjoyed how seemingly well researched the magic show scenes were! I hate when an author doesn’t know what to say and just skips over a part completely!
Don’t get me wrong, I highly recommend this book, but after the Love Series almost nothing compares!
Fun and hot! I really enjoyed this little magical romance.
It is set in the Lennox hotel in Vegas, where a handsome magician decides to claim his woman by kidnapping her during one of his tricks on stage. That part was quite funny, though it got better thanks to this couple talking out their needs and desires. I liked this story even more than others from this author because the characters talk and tease besides having steamy encounters.
Mr Storm may be a possessive caveman regarding his love for Anna but he is loyal, caring, and protective, too. I liked the conversations, the reason for Anna's initial distrust and how they solved it, the scenes on stage, and meeting again some characters from previous novellas. Also, the epilogues are extremely sweet and nice.
Julian & Anna are magic! Heh. Their story is quick, FUN & steamy. I loved their interactions & the bantery stuff they've got going on. We also get more of Knox, who I always love to see in this series. He's like the glue of the series, really (don't tell him I said that, his sense of power is quite large enough, thank you! LOL). Everyone has to come to him for help eventually... *grin*
We also get some Z... no, that's not zzz... You'll see! ; )
I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review. A great quick read! Loved the steamy chemistry between Anna and Julian. The story was well written with relate-able characters. Wonderful glimpse of the others from the Lennox. Great epilogue a few years later. Looking forward to Zach's story.
Show Me, Baby (Vegas, Baby, #7) by Fiona Davenport ⭐⭐ ½
HERO - Julian Storm. Famous magician permanently contracted at the Lennox Hotel & Casino. Muscular with dark hair, green eyes, and dark scruff.
HEROINE - Anna Chapel. Assistant marketing director for the Lennox Hotel & Casino. Long and wavy brown hair, emerald-green eyes, and a dimple in her chin.
OVERALL THOUGHTS - It was okay. The writing was good, but the characters were a bit vague, the romance a tad unbelievable, and the plot a little too convenient.
The story started off on somewhat of bad note with me. Julian, who was first mentioned in book 3 of this series but never appeared on page until now, decides to “kidnap” Anna during his magic show, locking her in a box that’s then wheeled into his dressing room where she has to sit in the dark for twenty minutes until his show ends. Anna is justifiably upset, of course, but not because she’s claustrophobic or that she doubted that Julian would release her. No, she’s just galled at the fact he’d pull this stunt just to talk to her. Well, I am claustrophobic, so this scene horrified me. He does express remorse when he lets her out, but it wasn’t good enough for me.
Immediately after their encounter, Anna heads to Knox’s office, which lets us know when in the timeline this is taking place. The scene is basically the same as when we read it during the first epilogue of the last book, except now it’s from Anna’s POV. Speaking of the timeline, there are a couple of potential mistakes I noticed. At one point, Julian says he’s only been performing at the Lennox for a year, but he’s been there since Rock-a-Bye, Baby which means it’s been at least three years, give or take a few months. He even says later in this book that he’s known two of the side characters for a couple of years.
The other mistake isn’t really with the timeline, but kind of is. Julian mentions that Becket Parker works as a blackjack dealer at the Lennox, despite being co-owner of his own hotel and casino. Well, in book 5, Baby, I Do, we learned that Becket had stopped dealing at some point. That was at least eight months prior to this story.
But anyway, I digress. Back to the characters - Julian was the better developed of the two, I’d say, though that’s not really saying much. We learn almost nothing about Anna except for an unpleasant experience she had at her previous job. Does she have any family? Friends outside of work? Her reason for avoiding Julian was weak, in my opinion. She’d met one slimy celebrity - an actor - and she assumes that anyone with even a drop of wealth or fame must also be slimy. Well, not anyone...just Julian. Why is that, you ask?
Again, she explains this to Julian and realizes how dumb it is, but that doesn’t change the fact that it also translates to the reader (or to me, at least) that it was a dumb motivation that made me roll my eyes rather than empathize with her. Once she drops her guard, she does a complete 180 and falls in love within hours. And to top it all off, that actor I mentioned super conveniently shows up in the present day. Everything just felt so unrealistic!
I can’t necessarily recommend it because the whole thing was so “blah” to me. I didn’t feel invested in the characters, their romance, or the plot. However, just because I felt disconnected from it doesn’t mean others will.
Instead of making a long list of cameos or mentions of previous characters, it would be much easier to say who didn't make an appearance. Aurora and Will from #5 Baby, I Do were absent as well as Maddox from #4 Baby Cakes. All others previous characters or couples were either mentioned or appeared on page. There were no life updates on any of them, though.
Fiona Davenport has done it again! I loved this story. The characters are awesome and interesting. I enjoyed getting to see characters from earlier books (all books are standalones) while getting to know Julian and Anna.
Julian Storm is the magician at the Lennox. When he sees Anna at the back of the theater during a rehearsal, he knows she is his. Julian spends a month trying to get her to talk to him so they can move their relationship forward while Anna spends that month running away from him. Desperate times call for desperate measures and he decides to kidnap her from one of his performances to force her to talk to him. He is positive that he can show her that being famous is nothing to him when compared to having her love him.
Anna is good at her job, but she's only been there a month and doesn't want anything to get in the way, including the magician at the Lennox. She's not interested in dating celebrities. Anna knows that there is an attraction between her and Julian, but she is trying to ignore it. She isn't prepared for his determination to make her admit her feelings and surrender to them.
Julian was very creative in trying to find a way into Anna's life. Anna was determined to ignore him but didn't do a very good job of that especially with the kidnappings. I did a lot of laughing during this book. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book!
I enjoyed this latest offering in the Vegas series! My favorites so far are Baby Cakes and Rockabye Baby, but Show Me is up there. I love how Fiona's heroes are unapologetic and determined in their pursuit of the heroines, but somehow manage not to be complete jerks about it (Vegas series especially). Anna doesn't want to get involved with Julian because of his celebrity status. She had a bad experience before and is skittish. Julian plows right through all her objections and doesn't let her run. Loved his reason for working at the hotel. I'm a big fan of this writing duo because they are some of the few who produce well-written stories with appealing characters (and usually virgin heroines, which is a personal preference). If you've never read this author before, Show Me, Baby can be read as a standalone; then you'll probably want to go back and start at the beginning! I was granted an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is another short, sweet and to the point insta-love novella from the writing team that is Fiona Davenport.
I personally love these books. Yeah the guy is a caveman and possessive and all that stuff not many people would tolerate in real life ... but this is fiction so I can forgive it. Especially since it's what the heroine in the book likes ... no loves. She's dtf the caveman, possessive alphahole. And she does ... and loves every last minute of it.
Which means *I* love every last minute of it.
This work is a really quick read and lots of fun. It's also super super smexy ... so if you like your love scenes non-existent or only hinted at ... move along honey, this isn't the book for you.
Julian Storm is a Vegas Illusionist. He's got his sights set on Anna Chapel who works in marketing for Lennox Hotel and Casino. He will even resort to old-fashioned tricks to corner Anna. Will locking her in his dressing room and kissing her senseless be enough to convince Anna she's attracted to him? Or maybe "kidnapping" her from her office will do the trick...
If you're bored during self-quarantine, this book is the perfect insta-love, evening read. Davenport brings all the heat, a bit of fun, and some protective action to your eReader. Show Me, Baby was magic! I'd love for Julian to work his wizardry on me! 4 stars
HEA Standalone, interconnected characters Insta-love, Obsession Vegas, Baby series
*over 18 readers only *
Trigger/ Content warnings Kidnapping (the fun kind) Mild violence
Julian (mmc, magician at Lennox Casino) Anna (mfc, marketing person at Lennox) Knox (friend of mmc, head of security)
Julian has been trying to get Anna to stop avoiding him for the last month, but she has her reasons. He sees her in the audience of his show one night, and his plan quickly forms. He'll just "make her disappear." She's not amused, but he's not giving up. Especially when her past comes around.
Vegas, kidnappings and magicians make up this story by Fiona. I enjoyed it so much I think I was smiling the whole time reading it. Julian shouldn’t have been sexy kidnapping Anna but you can’t help but fall in love with him. It's hard to deny their connection and it was fun reading how Anna kept fighting it and Julian kept steamrolling past that. It's sexy, funny, and the perfect book to relax and get away from the world for a while.
Julian is the magician at the Lennox casino. Anna was recently hired as an executive assistant. With one look, Julian knew that he had to make her his but Anna keeps running from him at every turn. Is it really kidnapping if it started as a magic trick? And why does Anna keep running from him? Can a little magic turn into true love??? Of course it can!!!!! This was a great addition to the series. I look forward to the next one.
I have been reading romance novels since elementary school (don't judge!), so one would think that there's nothing under the sun I haven't read. But honestly, I cannot remember a hero whose profession is a magician! I absolutely loved Julian and his bag of tricks that he had to resort to in order to win Anna's stubborn heart. Great addition to the Vegas, Baby series and I can't wait for the next one hinted at the end!
This time around it's Julian Storm and Anna Chapel's turn. Julian is a magician and when he sees Anna for the first time. He knows that she is the one for him.
These two have been playing a game of cat and mouse. Anna trying to stay away. Julian finally does something about it. A mixture of lust, love and an idiot's appearance. But overall great chemistry between the two.
Julian and Anna story is a trick of the mind, lol not really. Julian has been trying to capture Anna. Until he gets his chance with an old trick he asks for hee assistance and makes her disappear and reappear in his arms. Anna has bee n battling her attraction to Julian but once these to come together its hot and steamy.
Another amazing addition to the Vegas, Baby series! These inter-connected but standalone stories are well-written, fun, sexy, and a blast to read. I love that Julian is a magician, that he uses the tricks of his trade to get the girl of his dreams. And try as Anna might, she cannot resist her destiny, This is a quick read, well worth the time. Perfect for a much needed break from reality.
3.4 stars. I really enjoyed the way Julian ‘wooed’ her in this book. Very romantic. Do recommend the magician route when courting. Lol. Short, steamy, entertaining.
Not my favorite from her but it was definitely a good read.
Loved how Knox helped and antagonized Julian.
Can’t wait to find out what happens with Lukas in the next book.
A bit of a slow burner. Ana tried to keep her distance from Julian for a while becayof a bad experience she had a celebrity in the past. That's when Julian decides to kidnapped her by making her dissappear while at his magic show. Gets get tense for a bit but with a little help from friends, Julian finally gets his woman.

Not my favourite in the series but it was still fun and lighthearted which is what I was looking for.
Julien is a super talented and famous magician who once he sets his sights on Anna is determined to do whatever it takes for her to give him a chance, and most of this book was just him chasing her and not enough of them actually being together imo
