Harlow Layne is known for her contemporary romance style of beautiful slow-burn, sweet, sexy and swoon-worthy alphas, and fast pace, super-steamy romance in her Love is Blind series.
Fearless to Love is book seven in the Written in the Stars series. Twelve months, twelve different authors. Do you believe that your Zodiac sign can influence your love life? That is the premise of this series. I’ve been so excited to see what Harlow’s contribution to this series would be and I loved it. It’s no secret that I love insta-love. This book fed my addiction. I can’t wait to tell you about it.
Dante Ricci is twenty seven years old and is the owner of a club called Flux. His now ex-partner left him in the lurch so Dante has been working long hours trying to straighten everything out and hire someone new to help take some of the burden off him. It’s after a long night at work when he just couldn’t bring himself to go home to his empty house so instead he went for a drive, ending up in Fairlane outside a bar. It looked inviting and maybe was just what he needed. Only when he went inside, his eyes were immediately drawn to the woman who was dancing along with two of her friends on the bar. He couldn’t look away. It was like nothing else existed.
“It was as if she truly was a siren and I was being lured in by her voice. And her beauty. She was crazy beautiful, and I was caught in her snare.”
Lily Valenti is twenty four years old and lives by herself just outside of town. Lily is successful in her own right, but still, due to a past bad relationship, struggles a bit with self confidence. She noticed Dante the minute he came in to the bar, but when he asked her for her phone number, she was hesitant. He was a stranger. He wore her down, though, and little did she know that her world was now forever changed.
This was such a sweet story with glimpses of some of the characters from Harlow’s previous books. I adored the way these two were so instantly drawn together. They really were perfect for each other. I also loved the way that Lily’s friends, which are more like her family, became Dante’s. Something he really needed.
If you like swoony, Italian, alpha heroes that sweep the woman they are falling for right off her feet, both literally and figuratively, then this little book is for you. There is even a bit of suspense within the pages! Books like this always leave me smiling and full of warm and fuzzies.
I've read books by this author before and I always love her style of writing. This book was a fantastic read and I read it in one sitting it is a real must read. This book is a real romantic Insta love that I just couldn't put down until the end and once you start reading about Dante and Lily you wont be able to put them down.
Dante has had things quite tough and his business partner has just screwed him over and one night when he didn't want to go straight home he took a drive and just let it take him where ever, this is how he ended up in this bar.
Lily is a very beautiful woman who works in the bar and was helping out and she also feels the strong connection to this other soul. She never really gets asked on dates very often and especially after her ex made her feel very worthless and she had a very tough time with him. When Lily and Dante meet something passes between them both and there feelings and relationship developed very quickly but when you know you know right?
This author written these characters so perfect that I couldn't help but love them both. The reader can connect with them to because they are both so lovely and sweet. I loved the connection that they both have and how very open and at ease they are with one another. This book gets very hot and steamy in parts and you wont be able to take your eyes of of them both, they both have awesome chemistry and were so sweet with each other. This story flows throughout and I read it in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. This book is a very enjoyable read and I definitely recommend everyone reads it, its a very fast read that you will love.
I absolutely loved this book. I smiled almost the whole book. Its a sweet, instalove, happily ever after, with very little drama. Dante decided when we left Flux that he wasn't ready to go home to an empty home so he decided to let the road take him wherever. Lily was helping a friend by working at a bar for the night. When Dante sees Lily he immediately feels like he's met his soul mate. He asks Lily for her number and a date. Will she agree? Does fate make their paths cross?
I love this book! The idea of this series to match a story to believing in a zodiac sign is so out of this world and its such an adorable idea. I love knowing whether or not what my zodiac says about myself. I'm interested to see more of this series for the other zodiac signs.
This book was so beyond adorable! I fell in love with this insta-love story. The instant connection between Dante and Lily was immediate sparks. The amount of feelings they had for one another in such a short amount of time was perfect for their story. This book was sweet, adorable, loving, and cute all wrapped up into one. I thoroughly enjoyed reading these two.
I found this book to be sweet and charming. I recommend this book for everyone to read.
Oh.My.Stars! ✨Dante and Lily's story is PHENOMENAL! This amazing novella will capture your heart quickly. Harlow Layne packs everything you could possibly want into this small-town, Insta-love novella. It is sweet, hot, adorably romantic. I love a good Insta-love story and this was a perfect little quick and steamy treat. Dante and Lily we’re ooey gooey yumminess. 😍 Dante is this smooth talking italian who has recently had a rough ordeal in his business life. One stop at a bar for an end of the day drink to relax and release some stress, turned into a chance meeting with the woman of his dreams. He didn’t even fully understand the overwhelming feelings that the gorgeous Lily brought out in him immediately upon seeing her. It was super fun to read about how he handles all that. This confident, successful alpha, was fumbling for the right words. This woman brought him to his knees with one look at her commanding attention in the bar, without her even realizing it, and he just knew she had to be his. She had no idea the goddess she was, but Dante would make sure she did.. Er as soon as he got her to agree to a date that is.
“I was transfixed like she was my own personal siren, powerless as I stood there taking in the show.”
Like all of Harlow’s heroines, Lily is successful on her own. She is beautiful and curvy and any man would want her. But after a rough go in her last relationship, her self-esteem has taken quite a hit. When helping a friend at his bar, she meets Dante. The sparks are immediate and infinite. She was a bit hesitant at first because Dante seemed to come on pretty strong. Not in a bad way, in a way like he just knew that they were gonna be something amazing. He had no problem showing her just how amazing they would be together. Oh how, right he was indeed! Yummy!
“You’re mine and I’m yours.”
This book has lots of adorable interaction between our mains as well as glimpses from some of our favorite characters from some of Harlow’s other Fairlane series books. If you haven’t checked those you should. Harlow created a small town full of some of the most sexy, sweet talkin’ alphas and the stunningly, sassy ladies that capture their hearts. My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐️- Dante and Lily will make even the biggest “ anti cutesy-love” folks swoon. Their story makes you believe in Insta-love and jealous of anyone who’s got to experience it. Don’t miss this fast paced, attention grabbing winner. It gets ALL THE STARS from me! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥- GAH! I was simultaneously sweating and swooning🥰. So HAWT!! Dante and Lily will make it melt your kindle as well as your heart. 🔥🔥 🌪Cliffhanger Warning-*inserts happy squeak* I LOVED this book, the ending, everything!! Just perfect! 🙌🏻😍🙌🏻
I’m not a huge proponent of insta anything in real life situations, but there is something very swoony and dreamy about it when it happens in romance novels as long as it’s written correctly, of course! Harlow did that with Dante and Lily. It’s a quickish story so the insta of it is even more realistic but by no means was it lacking. Could I have read more of their relationship? Well, yeah! Lol They were cute, fun and sexy! You’d be a fool not to want to read more of that! LOL
This is only my second or maybe third book by this author and I like what I’ve read thus far. She has skills, and I’m looking forward to a lot more from her. I’ve also read all the releases in this multi-author collaboration and they have all been highly entertaining and very well written thus far. The written in the stars concept is a great one for romance readers and I’m looking forward to reading what the other signs have in store for us! Happy reading everyone!
Fearless to Love is an insta love romance that will have you falling in love just as quickly as Dante and Lily.
From the moment Dante say Lily he was drawn to her and he didn’t keep that a secret. Lily felt the same. All it took was one date and these two knew they were meant to be together. I loved how caring Dante is when it comes to Lily. He is instantly protective of her, he wants to take care of her. He is a complete gentleman, though he does have an alpha side, too.
Dante and Lily have amazing chemistry and I loved their relationship. If you’ve read any of Harlow’s Fairlane series there are some characters that you’ll recognize and I loved getting little bits of them, again.
Fearless to Love is a MUST READ insta love romance.
Book 7 in the Written in the Stars series and I am loving each story. This was no exception. Dante and Lily were great together. All it took was one look across the bar and they were gone. Loved watching two people who were on different paths in their lives fall in love. Great story with great characters. Quick read that will leave you happy and wanting more from this author and this series.
•Honest Review in exchange of an ARC• Fearless to Love will be released July 23, 2020•
Harlow Layne is on a roll this year. Her writing, characters, and storylines are on fire.
Fearless to Love is Book 7 (Leo) in The Written in the Stars series. It can be read as a stand alone so none of the books in the series are interconnected; however, if you’ve read Harlow’s Fairlane Series you will see past characters from it. Again, it can be read as a stand-alone as Harlow explains who the couples are and gives a gist of their lives.
Lily and Dante’s story is an instalove, very low angst, and absolutely perfect. Their connection and chemistry starts right off in the first chapter and never wavers.
Dante is head over heels for Lily upon first seeing her working in a bar, and Lily is, although shy at times, pretty forth coming when it comes to Dante.
Their chance meeting and instant connection will have you turning the pages to see how their story turns out. You won’t be disappointed. Dante and Lily were both fearless when it came to deciding to be together, and honestly, it was refreshing to see/read.
This Zodiac inspired novella series has truly been such a treat. Each month, a different author, a new book inspired by the premise that our signs influence our romantic path. Fearless to Love is the fabulous Harlow Layne’s exploration of a Leo romantic journey. Before our story begins Harlow shares she wants this to be a story that just makes you feel good- that pulls you out of the insanity of 2020 or is a nice tonic to the angsty books you’re reading. And, oh my, she delivers- this goes down like cotton candy- it’s light, sweet, and oh so tasty. A refreshing treat that is consumed quickly and leaves you with a romance sugar high.
Our story begins with Dante, frustrated and exhausted by some business proceeding and challenges with this club Flux, decides to pop into a little dive bar in a neighboring small town,Fairlane. He’s greeted by a coyote ugly type spectacle, and is immediately smitten with Lily, the vivacious brunette bartender who catches him from her bar dancing. He’s drawn to her in a “you know when you know” kind of way- his soul screaming that she’s special to him, so he buys a drink, does some flirting, and convinces her to go on a date with him the next day. The bar isn’t Lily’s full time gig, just what she does when she needs to leave her writing cave. She’s gorgeous but somehow can’t believe that Dante is into her- some remnant baggage from an emotionally abusive relationship- but she decides to put herself out there, because she, too, feels this meant-to-be draw.
Harlow lets us know that this is an instalove story, so we know that we’re not going to have a slow or angsty romantic progression. They lay eyes on each other, and they are pretty much in love, practically living together after a few dates- and for this feel good story that really worked for me. Much of the initial getting to know you happens off page, but that leaves space for Harlow to just let us spend time with these two in the throes of a very innocent, completely fearless “all-in” type of love. We know the characters enough for them to have some substance, and the angst is basically non-existence. We have some external drama, but even that is quickly resolved. Nothing but sweet declarations or steamy lovemaking for our couple. Definitely a nice break from the angsty reads overflowing my TBR.
For a novella, Harlow sure does pack a lot in. She works in characters from her Fairlane series, which fans will appreciate seeing playing some crucial roles. Sadly, I’ve not read those books, but seeing the couples made me want to pick them up! And the small town sounds adorable. We also have some stuff with Lily’s past, wok drama for Dante, and plenty of steamy times sprinkled in.. I loved all these elements, so much so that I wish we’d focused in more on one or two so we could explore some of the emotional impact on the characters more, but truly, keeping the emotion light, not going to deep into the emotional complexities of these folks both ensure this truly was a novella and also kept the tone light and sugary- which is what Harlow (and I) wanted out of this book.
What I loved most were some of the simple couple intimacies between these two- making breakfast or seeing each other’s places for the first time and one particular moment that I won’t ruin for you evolving a very common/mundane thing that was just so sweet- I loved those moments when Harlow showed us them gelling, figuring out what their routines were for the first time, working their way through the life cycle of becoming a couple. Truly charming.
Harlow promised me sweet, fluffy happiness and warm fuzzies, and no doubt, she came through. It is sweet and sexy- a short read that will keep you smiling and will have you grabbing for more Harlow Layne!
With the heart as the guide and soul as the compass, Harlow Layne takes emotions on a head trip unlike any other. Fearless to Love feels like floating on a cloud. The experience is unreal. The romance breathtaking and the characters hard to resist. Lily and Dante are a dream come true with a shock of heartache to cushion the fall.
Insta-love done without fear! An amazing sweep you off your feet and hearts in the eyes story with all your favorite Fairlane cast. And if you dont know the Fairlane series, you will want to know them after reading this book!
Dante gives you the Italian stallion vibe but so much less attitude and ready to smother you with hot hot sex, and no it does not take 365 days. . . And well Lily is the girl next door that doesn't know she so freaking adorable and worthy of love but just goes all in with the man that cant take his eyes off of her. And well that's the story because her hips dont lie and how else does insta-love happen?
But dont think it's all just love. . . Because Harlow has a way to add a twist just when you think it's all going good. . . And then BAM! Now you just cant stop reading because you are choking back the emotions begging for things to get back to when it was all rainbows and unicorns! But keep reading because in true Harlow fashion, you will get your HEA!
FLOVE this book! It's not only a great addition to the Fairlane series but a perfect companion to the Written in the Stars series! Definitely one I will be buying for my shelf!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary of this book!
Ever since being betrayed by his business partner Dante’s life has become all work and no play as he has need to focus on ensuring the ongoing success of his night club. When he stopped in at a bar for some down-time he never expected to see the woman who would claim his heart dancing on the bar.
Lily may have found success in her professional life but not so much when it comes to picking the men in her life. She is still healing from the aftermath of her last relationship but her resolve to be cautious is no match for Dante’s determination that she give him a chance.
Dante is suave, sexy and smitten with Lily and he will do anything not only to protect her but to help her reclaim the woman she is meant to be. There is no denying that they belong together and he is not about to let anyone or anything stand in their way.
This is beautiful story of instant love. Dante and Lily’s attraction, however so immediate, seems just right. They are cute together. They are meant for each other. They are sweet. When he takes care of her when she is ill is just so beautiful. This is almost drama free. I just wish to have more answers, what troubles Dante had with his partner, and most of all what did Tommy want from Lily? But even without those answers I love this book, because well.. you can’t not love it. It was also great to hear from our others favorites couples. Nice and pretty quick read, pages did turn on their own.
Dante and Lilly were a match made in heaven and another wonderful book for the Written in the Stars series. My hear broke for the self esteem Lilly had but I loved how Dante had broke down all her walls in such a short amount of time. it just goes to show you that when you love someone it can happen at any time or place. Love knows no bounds.
Sometimes you just need a light fluffy feel good read. And that’s what this book gives you. I feel in love with the instalove between Dante and Lily. If your looking for a fast, sweet, and steamy read, and one that will keep you turning the pages, then this book is for you.
Harlow has knocked it out of the park with this one once again with Fearless to Love! This book is part of the Written in the Stars series. I love reading the Written in the Stars series. These books are not only very good, but they are also allowing me to find all these great new authors! This series is 12 zodiac signs, 12 authors, and 12 sexy, deeply romantic novellas. Layne’s book is the zodiac sign Leo.
Fearless to Love follows the story of Dante and Lily. Dante is a smooth-talking nightclub owner who hails from Italy and sports the sexiest of accents. Lily is an author who moonlights as a bartender. Dante locks eyes with Lily while she is dancing on the bar and the rest is history. Did this couple lock eyes and experience love at first sight or is it just too good to be true? This story was the perfect novella read! It gives you sweet, sexy, and even a little suspense all in one neat little package. It’s no secret I adore Harlow but there is no bias in my reviews for her novels. They are great, some would even say fantastic! This little gem is no exception. I laughed, swooned, and even sat on the edge of my seat while reading Dante and Lily’s story. Also, if you are a fan of Harlow’s Fairlane Series you get a visit from some of her previous characters. If you read this story and want more from the other characters, check out Harlow’s Fairlane series.
Fearless to Love is a light, sweet and sexy romance that gave me a much-needed break from angsty stories. I'm a romantic and a daydreamer, so of course I love the idea of soul mates and stars lining up to cross the paths of two people. This book give me this and warmed my heart with the story of Dante and Lily. The instant attraction between them made me swoon and smile so so much. Their chemistry and connection is everything I want in a romance. Harlow did a great job creating a beautiful fast-paced story, with endearing characters that will melt your heart.
Harlow Layne strikes again with the sweetest of the sweet! GAAAAAH I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF HER HEROES! If you're like me and always a sucker for a hero who is scorching hot and giant sweetheart wile still being all Alpha GRAB THIS BOOK NOW! Fearless to love is a romance lovers freaking dream come true. I'm talking loads of steam, loads of swoon, loads of butterflies floating around because *happy sigh* Dante is EVVVVVVVERYTHING! From start to finish this book kept me alternating between swooning and fanning myself.
Dante and Lily’s story was an insta-love, romance that neither expected. I love that Lily is a successful woman who makes her own choices. Her and Dante are a cute and fun loving couple with an instant connection. Love the friends and can’t wait to read more in the Fairlane series!!
The story between Dante and Lily is a short and super sweet insta-love romance that will fill your heart with a happily ever after guaranteed
Dante decides to go out for the night after work instead of spending a lonely night at home. He steps into Rocco's bar and his eyes immediately lock on Lily, who is dancing on the bar with the other bartenders, coyote ugly style. Dante and Lily’s connection is instant and their attraction mutual. Dante asks her out on a date and they become inseparable from then on.
Harlow Layne has given us again a beautiful romance that is fast paced with a bit of drama, suspense and plenty of heat and of course one of her delicious, sugary sexy alpha heroes that we love reading so much.
Fearless to Love is my first book from Harlow Layne and like all of the other books in this series it was absolutely amazing!!!! Dante and Lily are a perfect match for each other! A sweet instant love that will take hostage of your heart!!! Incredibly romantic and unforgettable! I look forward to seeing what else this author has to offer!!!
Oh my! Hooked from the start. A chance meeting and instant chemistry. The characters are genuine and their emotions are real, absolutely loved the connection. A perfect combination of sweetness, heat and a lil bit of drama. Cannot wait for more.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Dante's step into a previously unknown to him bar, gifted him the greatest thing to ever happen to him - Lily, the sweet, gorgeous waitress dancing on the table à la Coyote Ugly. He took one look at her and knew that he had to have her. He'll have to get past her innate shyness and insecurities, though, and he's more than up to the challenge. Watch out Lily, this Leo hottie with the accent is coming for you!
This is probably one of the sweetest, sexiest insta-love stories I've read in a long time. I love how seamlessly they fall for each other, how they mesh perfectly with each other's personality, and how dang swoony Dante is with Lily. Insta-love can be ridiculous and over the top if not done right, but Harlow does it perfectly here.

The stars aligned for them in this sweet’n’sexy novella
Holy hotness Batman!!! Author Harlow Layne crashes straight out of the gate and into love with this delectable insta-love novella that is her contribution to the ‘Written in The Stars’ multi-author series. It’s a decadently sweet and sexy little bite of love that all romance bookaholics can squeeze into any part of the day.
Dante is everything that is the best about book boyfriends, and is perfect for the normally reticent Lily. Having been let down by his business partner he’s working all hours to save it until one night he can’t face another night at home alone. Is it fate that leads him to the next town and into a bar where one of the most gorgeous women he’s laid eyes on is working?? He seems to think so.
Dante totally believed that the stars had aligned for his meeting with Lily.
Ms Layne creates some of the most gorgeous book boyfriends that I have read. They are totally alpha without being overbearing, in charge without being dictatorial, and of course they are gorgeous, even if they are not perfect. At the same time, our heroines are not waiting around to be rescued either. Oh no. These ladies are fiercely independent and successful in what they do.
I’m thinking I’m going to have to check out other novellas in this series of stand-a-lones as well. As for this little read with everything hot and romantic squeezed into it, it’s a 4.5 Star from me.
3.5 Stars Dante Ricci decides to take a drive one night after a particularly grueling day at work, and ends up at a local night club in the next town over. When he walks in, three ladies are dancing on the bar and having a lot of fun. Dante is mesmerized and is drawn to one of the three ladies in particular. Lily Valenti is out of practice in the dating scene, but decides to take a chance and get to know Dante. Suffice it to say, they fall pretty quickly. Lily has a stalker-ex, who isn’t happy with her new relationship. He does cause some trouble, but Lily has a lot of people who care about her, and they are there to help her when needed.
This is a quick read, and the tension is fairly low, but there’s enough of it to keep the reader interested in the outcome. Both protagonists are flawed, but they seem perfect for each other. Both are able to fit easily within each other’s ‘world.’ This book is part of the Fairlane Series, and some of the backstories abut Lily’s friends are alluded to within this book. The dialogue is somewhat less than natural sounding in places, but the story is still worthwhile to read.

Title: Fearless to love Series: Written In The Stars Author: Harlow Layne Genre: Small-town Romance Pages: 121 Rating: 5 Stars
Dante is attracted to to Lily from the first time he sees her. Lily could feel a pull from the first time Dante first sees her. Could these two strangers love be written in the stars.
The book is fantastically written, I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down and ended up having a late night. This is the first book I’ve read by Harlow Layne so I didn’t know what to expect. But I loved it I would definitely read it again and I would definitely recommend people to read this and you won’t be disappointed at all.
Fearless to Love is the seventh installment of the Written in the Stars series, each written by a different author. Harlow Layne's contribution is the novella story of Dante and Lilly. This is a quick-paced yet completely fulfilling romance with characters that are well developed and likable, a story that is sexy, fun, and engrossing. A novella that feels like a longer story that is completely one-clickable.
I’m all about believing in fate and everything happens for a reason. I’m totally into zodiac signs and how we interact with our loved one. Are we the ying to their yang? You know questions like that. What a great book, I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn’t put this one down. I’ve read other books by this author, but hands down this one is one of my favorites. Dante and Lily meet by happenstance, he’s letting the wind take him somewhere other than home one night and ends up at a bar where Lily is working and when their eyes meet, there’s a spark, chemistry that can’t be denied, but can a chance meeting turn into something special? If fate has its way, that answer is a yes, but we know there is always someone that may have other ideas on how this relationship should play out. No spoilers, this was such a great read, I would recommend this as a must read for 2020. I found this book on BookSprout.
This is an insta love story between to people who wouldn’t of usually met but Dante was at the right place when he saw Lily. Dante never thought he’d ever find love and Lily had been hurt by love and didn’t think she’s ever met anyone. This is a quick pace story, easy to read and full of love. I couldn’t put this book down it just was so easy to read, everything followed so well with the progressing of their story.
I kept swooning over how cute they were and how they completed each other like they had been together for a lifetime. I smiled, I swooned, I fanned myself during some amazing scenes and by the end I was smiling. I highly recommend this book to anyone that’s just looking for an easy insta love story. I received this as an arc to give an honest opinion.
