Midnight Mayhem #3

In Silence She Screams

Rate this book
Love will never die if it exists on the lips of death. I often thought about this while I was locked inside my Doll House in Patience. Groomed every second of every day, they made sure to cover all of the darkness lurking in my soul with the false guise of perfection. The soul is fickle. Naked to the public eye and only visible to the owner, a soul bleeds every time it’s put through pain. But when that’s hidden, it spreads. The trick is to protect it from reaching your brain.
It was too late for me.
Until I met them.
One was an Elite King.
One was a Brother of Kiznitch.
Both were liars.
I’m Lilith Patience, The Sorcerer of Death and daughter of one of the most feared organizations known to man. After being thrust into the notorious world of Midnight Mayhem, I found myself coiled around a past that I want to forget and a future that could destroy me. I love two men, and they love me as much as they love each other, but when the demons of my past tighten their grip around my throat, will I finally let them strip away the layers of perfection to get to my rotten, withered soul? Maybe.
Or maybe they’ll die trying.

I am sitting here with one of the biggest book hangovers, Ever! Amo Jones is the queen of mind fuckery. Technically In Silence She Screams is standalone. I do recommend reading the first two books. This book is part of an interconnected series and you don’t want to miss out.

Here are my questions when I go into an Amo Jones book, that I expect and want.

Did she write a dark and twisted tale? Yes

Did the book blow my mind? Yes

Is it spicy and extra steamy? Thank God, Yes!!!! I think it’s one of the author's spiciest books.

Am I a hot mess with emotions all over the place? Also, yes.

Did I read this book in one sitting? Yes

Here is my favorite part; the crossover with The Elite Kings club. I was literally and figuratively jumping up and down with this. Eli is special to me. If you loved him in EKC. Wait till you read him in this book. You will fall head over heels.

Lilith is one of my favorite female protagonists from the author. What she had to endure and went through is heartbreaking and I wanted to seek revenge for her. She comes across as cold and heartless. But who can blame her? At the same time, you can’t wait to read the many layers of Lilith.

Kyrin is completely unpredictable and unhinged. Complex, hot as hell, and dominant. Add this all together and he is mouth-watering, delicious.

The chemistry between all three characters is scorching hot. In Silence She Screams is intense; you will have your predictions. But I am here to tell you all of mine were dead wrong. You have EKC in the background and don’t forget they are always ahead of the game. All characters are complex, flawed at times toxic. Honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I almost threw my kindle across the room because that ending left me speechless and I had to pick my jaw off from the floor. If you have read an Amo Jones book, you know to trust her process. As always, I am far from disappointed and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Lilith, Eli, and Kyrin were explosive. The combination of Patience, the EKC world, and Midnight Mayhem had my mind reeling, and in true Amo fashion, the plot twists were mind blowing. This is my favorite story from the Midnight Mayhem world. Without question.

I need a minute to collect my thoughts before start this review and make it spoiler free, because after that ending? I'm like... holy-motherfucker-shit, Amo! You've definitely overcome yourself with this book!
And I need the next ASAP! 😂😂😂

Yes, this is a Standalone in an interconnected series, so I highly recommend it to be read in order.

I don't even know where to start...
I've finished the book but I'm still been held hostage inside those pages!

They own me! They fucking own me!
This book brings back everything that I love in the Midnight Mayhem series... The craziness, the family, the loyalty, the savagery, the sex appeal, the tension, the wilderness...
Everything in this world is so interesting, and with that crazy edge that you can't resist to just dive into it for another peek, until you're balls deep inside their madness!

Kyrin is the lunatic that I expected him to be, he's so grumpy and so dominant, but oh boy... How hot he can be! 🥵

Eli is and always will be my baby! I loved him during all the EKC series and I still love him here... Probably just a lot more now!

Lilith is my favorite broken doll! She's damaged and I was having anxiety to see her wild side, and when it showed up? I was all in to follow her anywhere!

The crossover with The Elite Kings crew is spectacular! Chef's kiss!
We can see all of them again and it is everything related to the the plot... Not just cameos for show. I love it!

The chemistry between the three of them together was as good as between each one of them as a couple.
The sex scenes... Oh. My. God...
Guys... You'll need an extra pair of panties for this one 🥵🥵🥵!
I was obsessed with them! I wanted more of them... Like can we make this a duet and have another book with them? Pretty please? I can start a petition! 😂🥺

I'm not ready to let them go, and all the things that happened in this book, with them and with all the secrets... God... This story is raw and intense and wild, and...
So fucking good!

I need more! So much more!
My heart broke and it's still bleeding for them!

This is definitely my favorite book in the series and I'm not okay! 🥺

This review is a bunch of emotional words and it sucks, but whatever...
I Love it!

Our love wasn’t the kind of love that was written in the cards… It was the kind of love that burned them.

There are two things that are on my mind days after I finished this book...

1. I can't stop thinking about it
2. I can't settle on a rating to save my life.

What I do know is that this story f*cked with my mind and my heart. But that's not exactly news when it comes to a book of Amo's. I'm truly terrified of the things that go through this woman's mind, but damn am I grateful for them.

Every time I finish a book in this series, I'm desperate for the next one. But my feelings after finishing this one are all over the place. But we'll get to that in a second. First let's talk about the story.
I’ve heard of how people talk about Kyrin Nero. His interest is always a zero, but his body count is high. He fucks hard enough to leave the taste of himself burned in the back of your throat for years, so crisp that you’ll be whispering his name every time you think you aren’t.

The second I saw that this would be an MMF book, I was desperate to get my hands on it. I was also desperately anticipating Lilith and Kyrin because they both bring their version of crazy, and I do so love me those crazy ones.

Now if you love a good cross over and you've read Amo's Elite Kings series, you'll definitely appreciate this story. I haven't read that series yet and I plan on changing that immediately.

Lilith, Eli and Kyrin's story was many things. It was f*cked up, erotic, crazy, infuriating, and mind blowing. There were so many twists, that I could barely keep up. Now understand that my mind is already struggling just keeping up with all the different K names, because, well, puny brain and all. But I digress. What I'm trying to say is this story, much like the rest of this series, was twisted AF. Though surprisingly, where it couldn't have been seriously dark, it only grazed the surface. I'm not sure if I'm grateful and disappointed about this, oddly enough. Why? Well because Lilith's history is seriously f*cking f*cked. Like CRAZY. And it was uncomfy enough reading the mentions of it, though I couldn't help but also want the gritty dark details. But I'm seriously f*cked up when it comes to dark books, soooo yeah. There is that.

One quibble, and this may have very well have been entirely purposeful was the chaotic way it was written. The flashbacks, the scene suddenly cutting off. If I was watching it as a movie, it would have been great. But with the book, it felt a bit jumbled. At least to my puny brain it did. I also can't help but feel that I would have loved more fleshing out of these characters. I wanted to keep peeling away their layers, but I never really felt we get to the core of them. But did this take away from my enjoyment? Nope! I was still glued to the pages.

What seriously f*cked with me was that ending. GOD THAT ENDING. WHAT THE F*CK EVEN WAS THAT? I have a lot of feelings dammit!

Now if you're looking for a seriously f*cked up, gritty and dark poly romance, this is it friends. It's delicious and it's addictive. Prepare to suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride. And oh what a ride it is!

"I didn’t realize what was happening until I was hit right in the fucking core of a twisted fucking tale of a love lost, saved, and ruined."
Neither did I. Know what was happening, that is. Well, OK, partially, but the thing about Amo Jones’ books is that you need to go in blind. So, don’t expect spoilers in my review, or in my quotes.
I am going to say, though, that you should read the two previous books before this one. This one’s story can stand on its own, but it’s so much better once you know what came before.

"I live for chaos. I bathe in it, dance in it, and fuck in it. My nightmares are where I’m completely free."
The world of Midnight Mayhem is twisted, insane, and dark, but it’s so liberating at the same time. Its people are free to do what they want and to make their own rules. The chaos, the sex, the atmosphere around all of it pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I wasn’t expecting the level of emotion I got in the last few chapters, though. But Amo is just as surprising as her characters.

"A voice laced in sleep, he is everyone’s worst nightmare with eyes people never forget."
This book follows Kyrin, Eli, and Lilith. The chemistry between them is absolutely insane. Their personalities are strong, they don’t back down from what they want, and they don’t step back, or down. Everything about the three of them is intense. Which is why it shouldn’t work, but it does. And you’re there for all of it.

"Lilith is the kind of chaos you find yourself needing because she makes you feel like you’re not alone with your madness."
Lilith was such a strong heroine for me. Despite the life she had, she hasn't lost who she is, and she owns it. Kyrin was my absolute favorite, which was to be expected if you know me, but Eli brings a warmness to the table they all needed.
Throughout the book, and despite what kept being thrown in their way, what they had never wavered.

"I was thinking how much you keep hidden. How the hardest people I know have the biggest fucking hearts."
Like I said, I’m not here to spoil the book for you. It’s hard to write a review when you feel like you just experienced something. You’ll hate some of it, I’m sure, but it’s hard not to love the story. And them. It’s a character-driven book for me.

"Our love wasn’t the kind of love that was written in the cards… It was the kind of love that burned them."
Actually, theirs was the kind of love that could easily incinerate the world around them. And you’d gladly stand by watching until the flames burned down… except they never would.

I had trouble deciding on a rating for this one.

I feel like I can't properly review the book and let you know why though without giving away hella spoilers, so I'm going to keep this vague af. Lol

The last 20-25% of this story is a ride! It was definitely the best part of the book for me! I felt like I was getting hit left and right. Amo does what she does best and fucks the shit out of your mind!

If you're a fan of the series and the Elite Kings Club, you're not going to want to miss In Silence She Screams!

“The stain of darkness is permanent once it has clung itself to you. There’s no shaking it off, no denying it.Once you’ve tasted the bitter tang of sin on the tip of your tongue, you’ll do everything you can to drink from its poison for the rest of your life.”

I’M SPEECHLESS! Literally out of words.

This was a terrific ride on a wheel of DEATH(the best kind ever)

Midnight Mayhem and the Elite Kings world mixed up in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY. I wouldn’t have wanted it differently, it’s just perfect.

I’m not gonna say anything about this masterpiece, I think you should dive into this one blindly. Without any doubt of prejudice , just sit down and enjoy the ride(or better rides 😉).

“Lilith is the kind of chaos you find yourself needing because she makes you feel like you’re not alone with your madness”

I think I never read something so powerful , so mindblowing. I’ve been sitting here for hours trying to figure out how to describe this book in the best possible way and then I understood : There’s no label on this book , no expectations just freedom , passion and so much feelings.

I’ll tell you this: I understood that in the world there are two kind of people the ones who have all figured out and the ones who are a mess. But what they don’t tell you is that the last ones are just a piece of a whole beautiful puzzle and sometimes it took them a long journey filled with so much pain and angst to finally find the other pieces and be whole again.

“When he moves it’s like everyone wants to see where and when he speaks , people want to know what words he uses. Kyrin is fascinating in a way that terrifies most people. I am not most people.”

So to sum all up : broken souls can be healed, sometimes they scream in silence until the right one come find them and bring them back to life.

I’m 100% sure you won’t help but loving this story.

“One offers warmth and friendship, and the other offers carnage and power. They both offer pain.”

I think this one left a permanent mark on me.

Thank you Amo Jones for these amazing worlds you’ve created for us and I’m so honored to be finally part of your Blogger team.

I gave it absolutely 58362834 stars.

There was so much wrong with this book I wouldn’t even know where to start rambling about it. So I don’t. (yeah sure, there were some good parts too; hence the rating)

I loved the first book, I hated the second and this one was just utter crap. But it looks like I’m still going to read the last one. Because… the fuck???

I am not going to give any plot spoilers as everyone deserves to go in blind with this book. Lillith, Eli and Kyrin seriously the chemistry and heat was off the charts.I have been waiting for this Midnight Mayhem and Elite Kings crossover and it was everything. Amo Jones you are a queen, I can honestly count on one hand how many times I've sobbed during a book and ISSS I couldn't stop during the last few chapters, when Amo said this book destroyed her she was on point because it destroyed me completely, The twists and turns in this book I did not see coming and that ending, Cannot wait to see how this all plays out and not sure how it will.

My only gripe would be these books in this series are standalones, however I do not believe this book ended as a standalone should...

Recensione in Anteprima sulla mia pagina Bookstagram
https://www.instagram.com/p/CgCRqxSsf...

Jaw dropping, consuming, perplexing and unforgettable. In Silence She Screams may do just that- have you screaming into the silence as you lay bare, heart bleeding, soul raw. It’s a dark and twisted puzzle and beautiful but disturbing love story, one that cuts deep, and then cuts deeper. And a story that showcases the very best of Amo Jones’ writing- bold, unapologetically gothic, ferociously told, and dynamically mind bending. And most certainly my favorite of the series. Brava!

Combining all of these worlds I knew it would be a TRIP. And what a trip it was. THESE CHARACTERS! Lord these characters. Complicated, toxic, broken, unapologetically unredeemable- and they will own you. They are magnetic in their self-actualization, in their assertive energy. Each is a commanding force, they’ll spit you up and chew you out long before you figure out the depths of their hearts- before they themselves even know who and what they are. It’s what I love so much about Amo’s character writing- her characters are frenetic and volatile, so wrapped up in their own games and mired in their own baggage, that their journey is often a surprise to them, too.

Lilith is perhaps the most beautiful encapsulation of that character approach. What a heroine, my goodness. She’s this story’s center- it’s ethos, pathos, and logos- which is a shock in and of itself since she really doesn’t have any of those. She feels nothing, she can’t be trusted, and her instincts aren’t anywhere close to logical. She seemingly has no heart, yet somehow Amo lets us feel it beat. We’re in her head, yet she’s a mystery to us. She’s more than complicated- she’s an inception level puzzle. She’s twisted, volatile, deranged and unpredictable. She makes Harley Quinn seem tame. But despite the stoic darkness that Amo uses to accentuate her “otherness” we connect with her so deeply. As this story unfolds we explore the nature vs. nurture aspect of LIlith’s soul- and discover that the atrocities she’s committed are nothing compared to the horrific acts she’s endured. Unpacking her pains doesn’t soften her- Amo let’s her be a dark queen. And I loved how unmovable she is- she owns her scars, embraces them in fact. She’s an unbreakable force- and I don’t think we’ve ever had an Amo heroine as terrifying or as moving. Her brokenness is her ammunition.

And then we have Eli and Kyrin- also broken, all struggling with their own demons. Kyrin is a dark king- broody, possessive, detached, cold and calculating. He makes some hard and unexpected decisions - ones that frustrate and invigorate me in his boldness. And then there is Eli- the character who surprised me most. He just vibrates with energy- and while he has the dark capacity of his lovers, he’s also the light. The easiest to love, the easiest to give love. He’s the sinister teddy bear, and in many ways, the catalyst to the feelings this throuple find. Of course, it’s “feelings” on their terms- carnal, raw, unshaped and even unfamiliar. Unsettling and toxic, perhaps, but just perfect for them. They are all broken pieces- jagged, sharp edged, dangerously cracked- but together their sharp edges fit into a perfect whole. Together they find the strength and safey to conquer their demons- to confront the parts of themselves they’ve buried. Their connection is spiritual, complicated, MESSY- and completely enthralling.

Like so many other Amo Jones books, this plot in this story redefines dark suspense. To say there are twists and jaw dropping surprises is an understatement- this story is more like walking on broken glass, bleeding as you try to figure out just what the heck was broken. I’ve learned to trust Amo and her vision, but this one challenged me in that. The story goes where I don’t expect it, and the pain that we experience in the past and present is pretty soul-shattering. Fair warning on triggers- the darkness felt even more macabre and unsettling than I’ve experienced in Amo before- it hurt me physically just to read it. This story is a big ole complicated puzzle- one where we’re missing most of the pieces. But the way it comes together- MIND BLOWN. I thought I knew- but I knew nothing. And in the end, lurking beneath all the dark bravado, all the gritty pain and emotional terrors, there is a unique and morbidly beautiful love. An epic love.

Amo Jones always somehow unsettles and inspires- she drowns us in pain and brokenness only to help us find peace and beauty in it. And our characters don’t survive- they thrive, they are somehow freed by it. Because the love they find together helps them capture the dark, their trauma, their pain- their love helps them somehow swallow it, embrace it into their being in ways that empower, rather than degrade. That’s the power of love- even if it doesn’t look anything like our romanticized version of it. Because in Amo’s worlds, love can grow even in the darkest of places, even from within utter depravity, even when the lovers have no feelings or heart. This is a love that we can not understand truly- but we can FEEL- every last scream. Every last word. Until the shocking end.

That ending. No words- only a fractured heart and breathless silence. I sit here speechless and torn apart, but I’m also hopeful and tender. And that is just the magic of Amo Jones- how somehow dredging through the darkness with her merciless carnies, I find a sense of peace and optimism. Hands down my favorite in the series!

Amo Jones books have always been extremely hard for me to write reviews on because there are so much layers in the plot that can be spoilers. So here’s what I will say:

The Midnight Mayhem series has always been my absolute favorite of her writing. And she did a beautiful job of meshing the Elite Kings Club world and characters.
This is MMF. If that is not your thing, in my opinion it’s not heavy in sex and spice.

We really dive deep into what Lilith has gone through and it gets really dark and let’s just say some really evil shit has happened to this girl. The mind games that Amo Jones plays in her writing was extremely intense in this book like most of her books. She had me crying like 98% into the book and then a bomb was dropped within the last few pages. Where I was literally screaming NO FUCKING WAY. And then the book just ends. And you have so many questions as to what the fuck is going on behind the scene. I wouldn’t say it leaves off on a cliffhanger but it leaves you with wanting to know what the hell just happened and what has been going on behind what we thought we knew.

This book is definitely intense. This book is about secrets. Extremely evil underground workings. Plot twists. And seeking revenge. At the end of the day EKC will always be three steps ahead of everyone and full of fucking secrets. At this point I don’t know if we’re ever going to find out what they’re doing!
With all of this darkness, there is a love story. But it’s not a heavily written love story. I do wish that we got more character development and growth within the throuple relationship with Lilith, Eli, and Kyrin.
It’s also not heavily in Midnight Mayhem scenery.
There is so much more to this book than their acts on stage.
It’s truly a whirlwind.
“The more I think about everything that has happened among the three of us, the more I realize one thing, and that broken pieces all fit when they all belong to the same puzzle.”

In conclusion, don’t get comfortable thinking that you know characters.
Don’t get comfortable on whether you think someone is dead or alive.
Don’t get comfortable on what you think is gonna happen next.
Don’t get comfortable with anything in Amo Jones writing. Ever. That’s what I’ve learned from reading her writing.
Do. Not. Get. Comfortable.

i don't why i just didn't connect with this book. the characters we're a bit too horny for my liking and they all lacked that intense chemistry which usually mfm books do. regardless, i thought the plot was written just for the sake of how awfully kinky the characters were 🤐

- lilth was NOT a convincing lover
- kyrin was the supposed "mysterious" guy who lost his inner characteristics half of the time
- eli was just... there

*sigh* i think amo only writes her elite king series the best.

One thing is most important while you read In Silence She Screams. You need to trust the twisted genius mind of Amo Jones. Blindly. Because this story tested me in the best and worst possible ways but I wouldn't have it any other way. Amo Jones broke me down, then sewed my pieces together and I came out with permanent scar on my soul left by Kyrin, Eli and Lilith. I was bleeding emotions. Such a dark , sinful and beautifully violent love story of three imperfect unforgettable characters.
.
Lilith Patience is the Sorceress of Death and daughter of the leader of Patience who run the corrupt and vile yet powerful Patience. When Midnight Mayhem and the Brothers of Kiznitch tried to eliminate them, she joined the exclusive show of debauchery, violence and sin. Kyrin Nero doesn't have emotions but he sure is feeling something primal towards the enemy's daughter. And Eli Rebellis, one of the kings of Elite Kings Club has arrived to make sure that Kiznitch and Patience won't be causing them trouble. And he is attracted to the sweet toxicity of Lilith and silent brooding of Kyrin. The secrets will come and it will either destroy them or bind them together forever.

First of all, it's a miracle that I still have my sanity intact and no thanks to Amo Jones. It's like she was determined to mess up my heart and brain in the worst possible way. I have survived too many near heart attacks. And trust me, I wanted to kill her way too many times. But you have to trust her process. Every part of story and every component of puzzle serves a purpose. It won't make sense instantly but everything will fall into place and the process is mindblowing. Kyrin and Eli are like yin and yang. Kyrin has the dark energy. Dominating, possessive, damaged, raw and overwhelming dangerous vibes. And Eli is the light. All loving, all consuming, darkly humorous and with a heart that's so much precious than anything in this world. And in middle is Lilith. People call her many things. She has so many layers and facets. Wicked. Deranged. Destructive. Witty. Dangerous. Epitome of passionate power. She has been dragged through hell. Used, abused, tortured and violated. But she stands proud with her crooked crown and displays her war scars. Together they are healing and redemption and trust. Their connection was soul deep and filthy and awe inspiring. It will cut through your heart and soul and that was so emotionally satisfying. This world of Kiznitch, Patience and Midnight Mayhem is full of heartbreaking secrets and deceptions and I was losing my mind! So much emotional pain and suspenseful twists were packed in this story. And now that I have finished, I feel my heart battered bruised and oddly blissed out. Make sure you read every single word with extra attention..till the very last page. Don't stop till you reach the very last word..

Aah I was excited to get back into the Midnight Mayhem world, this is probably my favorite place of Amo's and I was sucked in from the start and spat the fuck out at the end.

This story is the best one in the series for me. Eli, Kyrin and Lilith together worked well. The dynamics that each of them brought to the table formed a perfect balance and I wasn't feeling any favoritism in the throuple which is always a bonus. The spice between these guys was hot, weather it was MM, MF or MMF.

Eli was exactly like we've seen of him in EKC. The sexy, fun, jokester. I love his character and he didn't disappoint. Eli is baby.

Kyrin was akin to fire. Dominant, moody and hot. Lets not forget protective with a side of crazy.

Lilith was the character we didn't really know much about as we hadn't had alot to go off besides a snippet in the previous book. I was expecting this psychotic, wild and crazy female character and tbh, we only got a glimpse of that in the last 15% of the book. All the rest was alot of telling and not alot of showing.

I feel this could have been much darker. I know everyone's perception of dark romance is different but for me this was at the beginning of the scale.

The story itself was fast paced, it was chaos, it was intense and it was full of breadcrumbs and secrets for you to try and piece together as you went along. It was a great ride that I didn't want to get off.

Until the end.

Here's where I'm dropping the spoiler. So look away now if you don't want to know....

The faking of Eli's death. That's a big fat no from me. I can't get on board with the way his characters journey has played out.
So he just has to disappear into the wilderness for god knows how long and leave his baby that he's never met to be raised by another man and calling him daddy and playing happy families without him?
Really? For how long? For what reason? Because you know...this was a STAND ALONE.
So when do we find out what happens with this throuple? Is it going to get wrapped up in a future book in this series which won't be there's, so we won't even get to have their povs about the situation?

Pffffffttttttttt

Great edition to this series, just fuck that ending.

THIS is Amo Jones at her best!!! Kyrin, Eli & Lilith will hold you captivated from the first to the last page with all their dark, broken, and sexy AF glory.

With each page you will become more enraptured in this magical and mysterious world of Midnight Mayhem, and Amo brought out the big guns with this crossover into the EKC world. I was completely captivated and salivating like a teenaged girl over Eli - his charm, his cocky attitude, and his charisma and passion for all things; and then enter our beloved Kings. GAH - the way in which this author built the storyline for these characters is simply jaw-dropping. Not only was I completely captivated by the push and pull of Kyrin, Eli & Lilith, but the bigger storyline was SO MUCH MORE than I ever expected.

Kyrin's possessive and broody behavior will make your panties melt, Eli's sexy grin and charm will have you eating out of the palm of his hand, and Lilith's carefree attitude and badassery will make you want to put on your Harley Quinn outfit and join her on stage and kicking A$$. These three together were FIRE - and one of their scenes is the steamiest I have read (and I LOVED every second of it). But underneath these three dynamic personalities are three very broken individuals, and Lilith's story most of all will tear you up in ways you're not ready for.

The crossover between Midnight Mayhem and the EKC is written brilliantly and I couldn’t devour these pages fast enough. Once again, Amo Jones has left me speechless, twisted up, my mind is reeling, and I'm left with more questions even though my heart is full. Get ready to be shocked, awed and utterly f*cked up once again by our dark queen and her Little Devils!

It’s been hours since I finished ISSS and I am still trying to process the emotions and events that took place throughout this book! My mind doesn’t know where to start and I don’t know if it ever will! This book is unlike any other Amo book! The two wolds colliding should be warning enough for any reader that you are not prepared for this! Even after reading I can tell you that I’m still not prepared!

The three halves definitely made a whole but a very dark and twisted one! Lilith, Kyrin and Eli are all sharp edges and darkness! Yet together something starts to bloom that no one expected! It’s the unknown that works against them and together they have to discover the toughest of truths and face the dark together!

I loved the mix of the 3 characters and I can not picture this book being written any other way! Once this book dropped on my kindle so did anything in my life because I had to read and I had to do it in one sitting! I’m sleep deprived but it was worth every minute of sleep loss!

Be prepared for the unknown because Amo kicks things up a notch and well everything is possible when you have the Elite Kings and the world of Mayhem playing together!

Always a rebel, forever a soldier, one as a lover, the other forever

Sexy carnival at its peak I would say.

This book was such a pleasant surprise that after I finished reading it, ✨this woman was too stunned to speak✨

⚠️ TW: sexual abuse, rape, grooming, OW/OM (other woman, man) drama, torture, human, sex and child trafficking, murder, incest (implied), mutilation

This book had a cross over from one of Amo's other worlds, Elite Kings Club (EKC) which I did not anticipate but that only means I have to read that series as well (since some parts of the series are explained in this book). As someone who hasn't read EKC I can tell you confidently this book can still be read as a standalone in terms of EKC. As for Midnight Mayhem, it is also a standalone but I don't recommend it to be read that way.

This book was done right in terms of the pace, the revealing of the plotlines and the plot twists. I'm new to Amo and with the previous two books being average-ish this book just rolled in out of nowhere. Not that I'm complaining

This book's throuple is Kyrin, Lilith and Eli. I would classify this as a RH because none of them are monogamous and there's no label to their relationship. This is also by far the only book which had a trigger warning at the start of the book with a scale of 50/100 and I can understand why was that stated, it was the darkest so far so please proceed with caution.

Throughout the past two books Kyrin was hinted to be this psychotic dude who would kill for his loved ones. He stuck true to that impression by being hot-n-cold in this book. Usually guys with whiplash turn me off but in this book I tolerated it. Kyrin was the one who showed the least of his emotions because it truly felt like only lust to me and I would have wanted to see more of the throuple's true emotions for one another. He was also always throwing the throuple out at every chance he got which I honestly didn't like. To summarise Kyrin - he's the kind of guy who stands at the back of the room but yet his presence screams.

Lilith - I did not like her in the beginning. She portrayed herself to be overconfident, someone who shut off her emotions (if you saw my other two reviews you'd know I'm literally begging for a vocal fmc) and to me that's not being true to herself. I just can't understand why these girls think crying is a shame. While I don't like who she is as a person, I can understand why did she turn that way given her horrible, very traumatic past. I found myself tearing up for her when some of the abuse was described. No one deserves that.

Eli - the hidden King. I loved him in this book. He was the only person in the throuple who acted true to his emotions. I admire a man who doesn't hesitate to show his love and care openly and this is Eli. He didn't love one more than another, he was fair in showing his affection and I think he did his best to balance the throuple. If I had to choose a favourite in the throuple it's definitely Eli.

The ending, the plot-twist threw me off because either I'm dumb to not connect the pieces or because I was too invested in the book I just didn't see it coming. In terms of the plot and the revealing, this book had a good pace to keep you hooked. I didn't put this book down as much as the other two books.

The only reason why I'm deducting one star off is for Lilith's and Kyrin's lack of emotions. I do think it isn't fair to have Eli carry the throuple on his back with two impulsive humans. Though there wasn't any favouritism in the throuple (MM, MF, MFM) it isn't right for Eli to be the only one with emotions - I'd say it would be too exhausting dealing with Lilith and Kyrin in the long run.

I'm not ready for this series to end, I know the next book is the wrap-up of the series but this is one wild ride.

The midnight mayhem crew is back with Lilliath, Eli and Kyrin’s story and yes you read that right…three!! When Eli of the elite kings gets told to go into midnight mayhem to try to gauge their trust he can’t say no! Together these two power houses could be unstoppable but will they be enough for what’s to come? Be ready for a wild ride full of action, twists and scenes that will have you melting! As always this isn’t for the faint of heart as it there are some graphic scenes and thought topics in this dark, twisted romantic suspense. Oh, and some “woah! did I just read that” scenes as it is a thr3some relationship. Secrets and danger lurk around every corner when midnight mayhem comes to town. I can’t say much more but what a great addition to this suspenseful series told in both present and past. Who is Lilith really and can she be trusted? MM, MMF, MF; Told in multiple POV

After every Amo Jones book I read I come out feeling a little bit dumber than when I first went into it. In Silence She Screams was no different. Adding a King to the mix really added to the fuckery that The Brothers of Kiznitch were not prepared for. Then Lilith, that girl was twisted on a whole new level of crazy. I liked it.

"Lilith is the kind of chaos you find yourself needing because she makes you feel like you're not alone with your madness."

Dark and deliciously twisted this story had me on the edge of my seat more than not and there were too many times I wanted to throw my kindle. I know, trust the process and all will be revealed.... eventually but I am not that patient.

Lilith really is The Sorcerer of Death and the things she had to endure at Patience would screw up the sanest person, but she made it. She didn't come away from it unscathed and when Kyrin and Eli got ahold of her, all those fears of letting someone in were no longer a possibility they were a reality.

Those boys though, let me tell you!! The heat and the connection they shared was much more than I was expecting from Amo Jones. I've never known her to do any kind of MM scenes before, so this was all new and she nailed it. I feel like that is worth the mention.

I could rave about this book for days, but I can't say much about the storyline because as with any of Amo's books the twisted webs woven here could easily unravel with one slip up.

If you have enjoyed the Midnight Mayhem series up to this point, then you will love this one just as much. My heart still lies with the Kings, but I am quite fond of the Brothers of Kiznitch now too and I can't wait to see what lies in store for the last book of this series!!

“Kyrin is dangerous. Being around him is like expecting a walk alongside a beautiful beach with a setting sun in the background, only to find out those aren’t shells in the sand. They’re mines and that setting sun is more like the raining blood of his victims.”

“He’s like a jot flame in the middle of a snowstorm. I need him to keep me warm. The thing about fire, though, is it turns wood into ash, and pretty soon, all of the walls I built all those years ago will be nothing but dusted memories. “

“Our love wasn’t the mind of love that was written in the cards….It was the kind of love that burned them.”

If you’re a fan of this series, then you have been dying to sink your teeth into this book just as I have, and let me tell you, Amo Jones does not disappoint.

In true Amo Jones fashion, she delivers an unforgettably dark and delicious tale that will keep readers on their toes. Amo Jones pulled out all the stops with In Silence She Screams.

In Silence She Screams delivers on so many levels and is the perfect, decadent read for any dark lover. It is by far the hottest, sexiest read of 2021 for this reader. Eli, Kyrin, and Lilith….Let’s just say they are an undeniable force to be reckoned with.

In Silence She Screams is filled with lots of delicious twists and turns that will keep readers captivated. Moments that will shock you and leave you wanting to throw your tablet and walk away. All I can say is trust the process. Have faith and enjoy the ride…..

If you love dark and twisted reads, you won’t want to miss this delicious tale this author has spun. In the end, all I can say is reader beware, this book is not for the faint of heart….

Wooo once again Amo reaches inside you and twists everything up that your tied in a knot. Lilith oh Litlith what a person you are! The true and horrible things she went through and was still able to carry one. She is freaking crazy and bada@@ just like all the girls in her books. Kyrin and Eli well ummmm yummm . I love that Kyrin is so protective of both of them and Eli keeps both of their dark thoughts at bay. The ending about killed me and I thought for once I was going to have to be really pissed at Amo but she more than made up for it but I have so many dang questions about where this is going to go. I want more of everyone and the Kings plus their girls and I so want Keatons story , so so bad. If you haven't started this series you need to and if you haven't read her books you NEED TO!!!!! Thank you Amo Jones I love reading your stories.

MIND BLOWN!! 🖤

Midnight Mayhem is one of my absolute favorite series! This world is unlike anything anything else I’ve read and I get completely lost in the mind fuckery if it all. Needless to say, I COULD NOT wait for the next installment of the series and dove right in as soon as the book hit my kindle.

All I have to say is that the wait was totally worth it! Amo Jones isn’t afraid to push boundaries and this book is a wickedly exciting example of that fact. Lilith, Kyrin, and Eli BROUGHT IT. What’s it, you ask? It’s sex appeal, an exciting storyline, and jaw dropping surprises that left me utterly speechless with tears sliding down my cheeks. Their connection and chemistry is palpable. And while I was certainly here for the steamy bits, their connection and history is what made me fall in love with these brilliantly broken characters.

Amo Jones has once again thrilled me beyond belief. This entire series is an experience I’ll likely never forget. Perfection!

I finished about an hour ago and I still can’t process my feelings. I just can’t find the right words. I’m completely freaking lost. When Amo said she poured her heart and soul into this book, you can damn well believe that she did.

This book was so much more than what I was prepared for. The unraveling of their armor was a sight to behold. Each of them have their own demons to live with but it’s the bond they share that that keeps them grounded and only slightly unhinged. The world that Amo has opened up for us is better than I could have ever imagined and I know I will be thinking of it for years to come. This is NOT a story you just get over y’all. That is your only warning.
