“You. Are. Cut. Off.”

He left me ripped apart and stripped of my last shred of innocence.

He disappeared without a trace, two years ago, with no rhyme or reason.

The same guy that swore to protect me, but instead fed me to the wolves of Silver Creek High.

Now, he’s back.

And this time … he’s not alone.

Callum, Quinn, Ellis, and Asher control everything in this town, and they’re determined to add my name to their list.

To break me; to own me.

But what they don’t understand is that I’ve already been broken once—Callum should know, because he had front row tickets to the show.

And I'm not about to let it happen again.

Secrets and Angst

There was a lot of angst, lies, secrets, and a healthy dose of high school bullying. Also, a terrible thing happens to our female lead, in her past, which shapes how she is for the series. It’s definitely a trigger for people who have a traumatic sexual experience(s). The way she acts, isn’t out of the norm for what happened to her. This I know due to personal experiences of a close loved one. So, what I’m saying is- it’s a plausible scenario. Also, another trigger is physical abuse.

As for the rest of the book, I really liked when the group was together, but I felt like they were more apart then really fully together. When they’re not, it’s like a missing puzzle piece.

I would have liked to seen and know more about the Empire that the boys are apart of. I don’t think that was fully fleshed our well. So much potential for a better story could have come about from that portion of the story. Instead, it leaves you with lots of secrecy that I felt wasn’t always fleshed out well either. It also played into a lot of the blackmail and lies.

There was a lot of editing issues- and it threw me off quite a bit in the middle of a sentence. Also, when a new day started - or week, a better break or notice of that would have been good, too. One minute your in one scene only to be thrown off by a new date and place later in the next chapter, when you felt like more could have been said or done to make you feel like the scene before was at a good closing portion.

Overall, I enjoyed the story line- I just wished for more about the secrecy of the empire, and the group to be together more often outside of the story.

Great Read!

Picked up this book during the quarantine and good lord!! This series is HOT! I adore each of the boys so much, and Jess really grows as a character through each chapter. I was really annoyed with her at first, but as more and more layers of character emerge you really get a feel for why she acted the way she did.

It had so much potential

I wanted to love this series, I really did. I actually really liked the female lead and her personality. The story was really good too, but the thing that took it down for me was the way the relationships other than Callum and female lead felt forced. How did she feel so attracted to all four of them before she even got to know the other three? The only believable and naturally flowing relationship was of her and Callum. The rest, if handled right, could have made this one of the best series I have read. So I am disappointed that I had to stop reading it because I couldn't get into the rh aspect of the story...I wish it had either been a m/f or that the rh part had been done in a way to make it more natural. The other three guys couldn't have just fallen for her with barely any interactions between them...same for her, even with her being the way she was, she couldn't have fallen for those three so quickly. I am going to try out her other series in the future because she definitely has A LOT of potential as a writer. Considering this is her first series, it's not bad at all, it's very well written. I'm looking forward to seeing how her future works are

A mess. A whole mess.

I really really hate leaving bad reviews because I know the author puts their heart and soul into their work. This is the first 1 star review I have ever left. But this series was a complete shit show.

This series came up as a suggested read on my Facebook page. The blurb and plot seemed interesting and there wasn’t any bad reviews that I could see on amazon. Where the good reviews were coming from? I have no idea. I decided to give it a shot because I have found some hidden gems from suggested Facebook ads. This was not the case. AT ALL.

Don’t get me wrong the general plot of the book was good it was just executed poorly. There were so many useless information dumps. I could literally skip 5-10 pages at a time and still know what was going on.

When she was having a conversation with someone they would say something then she would have to think about it for THREE PAGES before she ever replied.

But what she lacked in dialogue, she made up with in sex scenes. Some scenes went one for a whole chapter 🤦🏻‍♀️

Just to summarize, I would not read this series.

5 stars for Silver Creek High Series by Belladona Cunning. This is my first book from this author and I am looking forward to reading more. This is a dark high school bully romance. It talks about dark subjects like murder, rape, and more. If that is something that is a trigger for you , be warned it is mentioned in this book. I was pulled in from the prologue and stayed enthralled until the very last page. While some of the story line is similar to others in this genre, there are things that happen that take this book to a whole different level. The characters are fantastic , dark and edgy in all the best ways. The heroine in this story is what makes it so great. She is strong and resilient. I don’t wanna say anything that good spoil anything because the not knowing is what makes this story what it is. I will say that when you think you know , you really have no idea. Great Work Belladona Cunning!

Truly phenomenal series

Such an amazing series

This book is incredibly well written and pulls you in from the get go
You feel every emotion possible while reading this story and fully connect with the characters
Would 100% recommend buying this book
Touchy subjects are brought up in this story like rape and pedophilia ( but it is only small parts)

The extra bonus epilogue sums up some unanswered question that we think are left untouched..like her best friend and what happen there along with the punishment about mr t ..... so happy for her and the guy best epilogue I've read in a while

Down right got me all in the feels!!!

OMG! I read this over my three day weekend and couldn’t put it down! Damn Jess is a survivor and such a brave, strong woman! It was such an emotional roller coaster and she went through so much. Glad Callum got his head out of his ass, and loved when they all finally started treating her right and it shouldn’t have taken him so long to listen to her. Asher, Ellis, and Quinn all absolutely turned into such sweethearts. I liked the constant mysteries and Jess being Jess, didn’t stop till she found out the answers. I look forward to reading more of this authors books.

Hitting this writer's backlist!

Wow! I finished Reighton Prep just before reading Silver Creek High and I'm not sure which one I loved the best! When you find a great author, like Belladona Cunnning you need to read their backlist, which is what I'm doing now! This one really got me emotionally and that's a pretty rare occurrence, plus there was plenty of angst, romantic suspense and boy can she write some steamy scenes.

Great books. Have read twice already. Borrowed then went back and bought. So good. 10 stars if it was possible

Great characters, somewhat same story line as other high school but with many twisted differences. Makes it stand out in my mind. Would recommend for a great and enjoyable read. Thank you

Loved this book

This is a series you won't put down. It is extremely detailed and it's more than a high school plot. The characters are awesome. There is a whole mystery around it also. Every character has a part and with each part there is this story thAt you need to know what happens. I can't wait to read another series from her.

Very enjoyable great reading

I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I am glad that everything worked out for them and she finally found out who raped her and killed her mother. I am glad that Callum survived and of course seeing them all together and having a baby.

Spacing hell

The spacing kept pulling me out of the story. On purpose or not ugg. Spacing is for when you break in a story not every breath. Could not keep me in story. And It read like a teen from hell wrote it ....with the spacing and writing I could not get into the story much less care about the people. I just didn't care .😒
