A cute romance about a cop Finn that use to play soccer and the paralegal Jana he met while responding to a fender bender. The story had humor and hot love scenes but I personally did not feel the connection between the couple and felt like the story was going in too many directions. Couples that were introduced in the previous books of this series also make appearances in this book. I have read two other books in this series but felt like I was missing pieces that were probably mentioned in previous books. Someone that has read the whole series probably will have a better understanding of all the interactions in this book.

How can I stop? Or even slow down? Well when it comes to books I can't. I can say that I'll try, that I'll reduce my reading but... Coulda, shoulda, woulda. I'm not stopping because I really can't. How can I stop and miss out amazing books like this one?
And guess what? When I have amazing author's with new books coming out I know only one thing. I want to read them all and fast.
J. H. Croix is guilty as charged. She's amazing and that can be seen with her writting. Her books wrapped around love, loss, desire, madness, kinkiness, and so mush more. But behind all that is a love story that needs to be known.
Naughty Wish is her latest release and tells the stories of Jana and Finn. But let me just give you and advice. Since this book is the 5th book from the Brit Boys Sports series I seriously recommend you to read them all. Despite all books are standalones you should read them all in order to understand this series better.
Jana is a paralegal that works with her best friend. She was supposed to become a lawyer but life had other ideas for her. One bad judgement and she it rock bottom. Thank God for her best friend Zoe. But she's a wild card, lol. Her great idea to seduce a cop when she's pulled over will bring her more than what she asked for.
Finn is a cop that was called to intervene in a car accident. He thought it would be another day like he's used to but he was so mistaken. When he offers a ride to the beautiful Jana he can't imagine the turn his life and his heart are about to get. He was seriously hurt in the past and that made him to not trust woman easily.
Another brilliant book like I knew it would be.
These series is amazing and I couldn't be more happy for the privilege to read it.
The plot is fantastic, fast paced and intense. The interation between the characters is beautiful and funny. They want each other but they can't accept it, let's talk about two stubborn people. Jeez.
The story progressed smoothly and quickly, with lots of juicy stuff into the mix. Oh boy... Can I have a police officer like him? Where do I sign up?
Love, friendship, family, loyalty are very present in this book and that made the book so much more inviting and appealing.
Will we have more books about these guys? Or this was the last one? I really hope not.
Oh J. H. You're amazing woman. Each book is magnificent and special and I can't wait for more.

The only thing I liked about this story is the hot & steamy scenes. Jana, Finn, & the story line didn't do it for me.

When Jana has a fender bender she met a cop she would do anything for a date with. She even offered for him to hand cuff her while he drove her to work. However Finn was the gentleman and wouldn't so much as flirt with her while he was on the clock. When Jana runs into Finn about a week later at a coffee shop she finally gets him to agree to go out for dinner. Finn dies laughing at every text Jana sends him because its of erotic cake designs. He can't stop thinking of Jana but wants to take things slow. Jana knows that Finn is the man for her so she'll keep pursuing him until she gets him. Finn is wary of relationships do to being hurt by a woman in his past but he wants to see if this thing with Jana could be something real. Can Jana get her man?

I couldn't stop laughing while reading this book which got me some weird looks. This was an amazing book with great characters. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

A secondary character from an earlier Brit Boys Sports Romance book gets her own story, and it is definitely packed with emotion, fun, and sex. Jana Sparks is a paralegal, and some past events still greatly affect her in the present. When fate has a cop and her meeting, their lives are never the same from that day forward. I always enjoy how J.H. Croix builds the anticipation of what her couples will end up doing as they experience the ups and downs of a new relationship, and there were plenty of emotional incidents along with bliss filled sex to keep me entertained in this story. NAUGHTY WISH has humor, stirring moments, and very passionate sexual encounters.

While carefully driving in rush hour Seattle traffic, the car following Jana Sparks hits her. Though the accident is not serious, the damage was enough to call the police. When the responding officer arrives, she is immediately intrigued by his looks and British accent. After it becomes apparent her car cannot be driven, Finn Connors offers to take her to work and equally captivated by his lively passenger. Before they part, Jana says she wants him to have dinner with her, yet he does not accept her offer. But a chance meeting later has her asking Finn again, and his consenting answer might just lead to something unexpected between them.

NAUGHTY WISH causes lots of smiles and sighs. There is witty banter in many of the conversations that Finn and Jana have, and their delightful personalities shine through often. He is a very capable cop, and he makes sure those in the city are protected from anyone with bad intentions. While much of the story is focused on his and Jana’s relationship, circumstances related to his duties as an officer are also shown and make him even more respected. Both have been hurt by people they trusted, making them rather cautious of becoming too serious about someone else. But as they continue seeing each other, feelings change yet Jana cannot seem to stop from having underlying doubts. I could not wait to see if she would risk her heart or keep it safely locked away. J.H. Croix certainly had me in suspense as these two worked through some realistic issues. Many of the characters in previous books of the series are featured from time to time, and I enjoyed seeing how each was currently doing.

Jana was sitting in the morning rush hour traffic when someone hit her car from behind, coffee spilling all over her blouse. She got out of the car, but before she could say a word, the obnoxious man blamed her entirely. He accused her of using her cell phone, which she hadn’t, and of stopping too suddenly – heedless of the rush hour traffic creeping along. She called the police and melted at the handsome officer! He checked her phone log and gave her the ticket to work this out with the insurance company. But as she started back to her car, she saw that she had a flat!

Finn offered her a ride to work and dispatch called a tow truck to take her car in. She asked questions as they drove. Finn was British, accent and everything. Coincidentally, so was her boss’ husband, who was a former soccer player. So Jana decided she wanted Finn and would find a way to date him. As the tow truck arrived and he moved to get out of the car, she blurted out a dinner invitation – which he politely declined with a grin.

A week later, Jana tracked Finn down in a coffee shop and, this time, she got him to agree to dinner. They had fun and neither wanted the evening to end.

These two lead characters were so wonderful together, each finding joy in the other. Despite their previous disastrous relationships, could they trust each other and let the past go for a future of love? Or was the fear of a serious relationship too much for either of them to risk?

This was a well written book, with a cute and humorous story line that draws the reader in from the start. From Finn’s first little grin at the picture he saw on Jana’s cell phone screen, I knew this would be a fun adventure! The characters are great; despite their caution as their relationship deepened, they are playful and fun. Don’t miss out on this book. It’s a feel-good story that will keep a smile on your face right through to the end! I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review; needless to say, I also bought my own copy for my library! It’s a “keeper”.

It was so great to visit the Brit Boys and the women that tamed them!!! I love that spirited Jana got her own story and with a Brit Boy to boot. Jana is Zoe's paralegal/receptionist with a flare for life that hides her insecurities. Jana's life was turned upside down after her mom lost her battle with cancer and she had an accidental affair with her boss, meaning she didn't know he was married. When she is rear ended on her way to work she does not expect to fall head over heels in lust with the British officer responding to her bumper bender. As Officer Finn Connor takes in the scene before him he is hit with a surge of lust by the beautiful spitfire with a steak of purple shining in her brown hair. Finn hasn't been in a serious relationship since his fiancé broke up with him days before their wedding several years ago. Finn was on the fast track to pro football, soccer, when a car accident ended his dream pushing him into his other dream in law enforcement. Finn is attracted to Jana's brash and straight forward personality to the point it scares him with what he is feeling. Jana is also gun shy with trusting her instincts about dating but it feels so right to be with Finn. Jana and Finn have issues to work through but when it is meant to be there is no stopping fate, even when Jana tries to push Finn away. What Finn does to get Jana's attention to prove himself to her is comical but gets his point across. You'll love the quirky texts from Jana and the scorching heat between them. While dealing with a high profile case, ex's showing up out of the blue, a sister's unexpected accident and arrival Finn and Jana have full plates already but sorting out their feelings just might put the topping on this inevitable romance. Congratulations to J.H. Croix on another fantastic story!!! One click this must read now and enjoy.

Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my mouth, this book, what can I say, it’s so good. I am a huge JH Croix fan; I love all her books but this book is super good. It is the 5th book in the Brit Boys Romance Series but you do not have to read the others to read this book. They are all stand alones but the characters tie together. This gives us Jana who is Zoe’s paralegal that we met in Book 3, Out of Bounds. She is a strong, independent woman that goes after what she wants but lying just under the surface there is a vulnerable girl that isn’t as sure of herself as she wants people to believe. Along comes Finn the police officer, oh and he’s British, yes prepare to drool luv. He came to the US to go to the University and play Soccer and he was in an accident and it ruined his professional ball career so he went into law enforcement. He knows the other Brit Boys as he played Soccer with some of them several years before so he ties into the characters from the other 4 books. Jana meets Finn due to a car accident which he is the officer to respond and she decides she wants him, bad. He has other ideas but she usually gets what she wants since she is very bold and goes after it. I received a copy of the ARC to voluntarily read and give my honest opinion. I loved this book, everything about it. It is a page turner so it’s well written to keep your attention throughout the entire book. It is beyond sexy smoldering hot. The chemistry between these two will melt your E-reader or drench your panties. It is also packed with emotions that may cause a tear or two to well up. Did I mention I loved it? I highly recommend this book and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. If you haven’t read the others in this series, I highly recommend them as well. They are all good but again each standalone so no cliffhangers here.

Finn - holy hotness! (a sexy cop with a British accent) and Jana meet over a small fender bender on the freeway. She asks him out to dinner and later finds outh they have mutual friends between them. The sexy sparks fly and they agree to go out to dinner. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts. Their first sexual encounter is very raw and readable - a delicious morsel. It is a sexy, tantalizing and unique story line that had me pulling for everyone!
As everything progresses Finn gets called to help his sister and her friend. He leaves the state to help and Jana, unsure of her feelings for Finn backs down and away - putting distance between them. Jealousy and insecurity rears its ugly head with these two. It is a fun read and also emotional. Another example of a woman's fantasy turned reality. The ending is pure frothy fun - just like the book started. After all, handcuffs were always part of the equation ... they alsways play a part and such an important one! This book is definately a MUST READ book. Deliciously hot and steamy. Finn and Jana most definately belong together for life. The epilogue is simply a superlative ending to this love story - everyone finds their nitch. Another great read by J. H. Croix. This series gets better and better and one book leads to another. Really hard to stop reading long into the night. So loved this book. Great job!

JH Croix has done it again. Another great book. Jana and Finn are so fun together. And OMG the pictures she sends him in text messages are hilarious. They make you laugh but also you can understand their hesitation to admit what they are feeling for each other because of past hurts. Finn's ex left him just a couple days before they were to be married and he knew he was not going to be able to return to playing college soccer and being able to go pro. She stayed after his car accident, which broke both his ankles, until he got healthy again. He went on to be a cop. Jana was in a relationship with her boss until she found out he was married. She lost her job and as a result her reputation was ruined. At the same time she lost her mom to cancer. Now she works as a paralegal for Zoe, who was her best friend in college and is now a kick ass attorney. They meet when Jana is rear-ended during rush hour and Finn is the cop that shows up and Jana asks him out. There is an instant lust on both parts and once they start seeing each other they both are unsure what to do with what they are feeling for the other. Will they be able to work through their feelings and have a real relationship or will they just keep it casual for a little while and then go their separate ways?

Finn and Jana - finding unexpected love

This is book 5 in the Brit Boys Sports romance series. Finn is a police officer in Seattle. Jana is a paralegal. They meet when Jana is rear ended and Finn responds to the accident. Finn and Jana have several similarities in their lives - both of them had something traumatic derail their original career plans and both of them have scars from a past relationship that ended badly. They are both content in their current professions and content staying away from relationships. The instant chemistry and overwhelming feelings between them throw both of them out of their comfortable niches. In order to get to their HEA, Finn and Jana are going to have to let go of their pasts in order to embrace the love that’s between them but that is not an easy thing. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, strong friendships, sexy times, real life issues, imperfect characters, laugh out loud moments, and so much love all mixed with a low amount of angst. I really enjoyed the interactions between Finn and Jana, all of their emotions including the fear of being hurt, felt real. As an added bonus, the secondary characters were given enough substance to be interesting without managing to overwhelm the main storyline.

A great read by J.H. Croix about a hot cop (I love a man in uniform), Finn, and Zoe’s paralegal, Jana. They both have baggage from previous relationships which makes them both wary of something real and getting involved. But the two can’t deny the chemistry between them and it scares them both they just have to want it bad enough to go for it.
I loved this read with steamy scenes involving uniforms, handcuffs and the vulnerability with the two characters. I also loved the fact that there wasn’t any drama with exes and it was about the two of them trying to figure out why they can’t resist each other. I also liked seeing the other characters from the previous books and catching up with them as they all make appearances in this read. Only thing missing for me was a “heart to heart” between them and I felt the ending was rushed. Even with that missing I couldn’t give it less than 5 stars as I loved this read, the characters, Finn’s grand gesture, along with the story flowing beautfully and the author knows how to draw you in and not let go until the very end.

I’ve said it before… I LOVE this series! Even though this book deviates slightly from the original sports concept, it still revolves around the same characters, and those delicious Brit boys are ever present with their sexy as sin accents. This time the focus is on attorney Zoe’s free-spirited paralegal, Jana. Jana has some pretty major trust issues after her life and career took a nose dive thanks to a rather infamous affair. So when she starts to fall hard for the ruggedly cut, London born, former soccer player turned cop named Finn, she starts to panic. Jana seems to put her budding romance into self-destruct mode, seriously frustrating a very confused Finn.

As always, JH Croix has done a masterful job with these characters. Main characters and peripherals alike are nicely developed and work well together to blend a story rich in passion and hope. Finn and Jana have that delightful balance of fiery heat, sexual tension, and approachable comfort that have the reader falling in love with them. This is a great addition to the series that can also definitely be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel.

His One and Only💘

ARC received for a voluntary and honest review.
Finn👮 is a British transplant college soccer star turned street cop in Seattle. He is directed to a fender bender on I-5, and is stunned to see Jana💃💋, a paralegal, who was rear ended, out of her car and yelling at the man who hit her.
He is somehow fascinated by her complete package, looks👸, body💃, spunkiness, independence. Jana💃💋 is also wowed by the tall, ripped💪 and handsome Finn👮🍆🌋, and she invites him to dinner! Since he is on duty, he can't fraternize with her, but she gets his name. She really digs on his uniform!
She finally finds him again in a coffee shop and gets him to agree to the dinner. Finn🐺🍆🌋 had a terrible experience with his only other love💔, she dumped him just days before their wedding👰. That was years ago. Will he put aside his hurt and mistrust and let Jana💃💋 into his life?
Jana💃💋 wants to ride in his squad car and have him wear his uniform👮 to bed! Finn🐺🍆🌋 just wants to ride Jana💃💋 all 🌙night!💘
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

This is such a cute book, and so wittily written! As promised, it's a happy, fun and a perfect read for an evening in.

Fender bender and a handsome cop with an accent, how could you go wrong with this romance?
Finn had had dreams, he came to the US to go to college and play soccer (football everywhere else) maybe even become a pro, but those dreams along with his romance fell apart when he was hit by a drunk driver and sustained serious injuries. He worked through it all and became a police officer.

Jana always wanted to be a lawyer but her dreams too were placed on hold so instead she became a paralegal for one of her former classmates. She was unique and outgoing, so when Sgt Finn came to help her in the fender bender and then offered her a ride she grabbed the chance. She knew what she wanted and that was him, nothing was going to stand in her way this time.

This is the 5th book in a series about British men in Seattle by JH Croix. Each one of the series has a connection to the other ones so you will constantly see characters come and go. This one though felt like it was slapped together as an ending for the series. They had a connection but there was just something about the way it all happened. It's an okay book, definitely don't pay full price for it.

Is it hot in here?
Woo!
The newest novel by J.H. Croix has the heat level cranked up to keep you warm for those cold winter nights!

Jana, working as a paralegal for Zoe Walsh, thinks the fender bender she is apart of is going to ruin her day, that is until she gets a load of the officer there to take care of the situation, Finn Connors, a gorgeous British man making this whole traffic incident a lot less of a hindrance. The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts. While he may remain professional when he is on duty,
Finn has no problem letting loose when he's off! Both have been through some bad relationships, are they on the same page as to what they want?

I loved this sexiness overload, sweetness! A fun, humorous storyline I enjoyed reading along as these two fumbled and played ( I do mean played * fans self * ) their way through their insecurities and minds to come out the other side ready for something new.
This is one book I could not put down, was sad to see the end, and cannot wait to read again! Pretty sure my husband agrees!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Jana gets in a fender bender on the way in to work and meets a very hot cop named Finn with a British accent. The poor girl practically drools all over him. He's not much better. She impulsively asks him to dinner but he sadly declines because it's just not done. However, neither can forget the other. It's like love or at least lust at first sight (because neither of them will admit to any feelings beyond fun and fling since both had been burned before). The sexual tension between them sizzles off the pages/screen as you read this book. Smokin'! You wonder whether Finn and Jana will act on their attraction? Will they continue to tap dance around their feelings for each other? Feinting forward and back? Will they ever get to an HEA? Read this delightfully entertaining book by one of my favorite authors. JH Croix generally touches on a social issue in her books and this one involves domestic violence. She covers it with care and understanding. Enjoy.

Holy hotness. I honestly thought nothing could be sexier then a British soccer player but a British cop I think just might top that !! I absolutely loved everything about this series and when I saw that J.H. Croix had another book in this series I was so happy. I loved catching up with everyone and seeing where they all were. I have missed this series. I am secretly hoping maybe there might be more in this series or maybe a spin off from it. Jana was a sweet woman who had so much sadness in her life. She felt all alone in the world. Finn was hot and so nice. He closed his heart off after someone broke it. These two meet by chance and sparks fly. Once those sparks fly things just keep getting hotter between them. I loved every part of this story and I was so sad to see it end. It was amazing from start to finish. This book is a 5 star plus book and a 5 star plus series. I highly recommend you pick up this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

JH Croix,  Blends The Brit Boys Sports Series to Purrrfection.  Well written the story always pulls you in. Excellent!

Jana, you'll remember from Out of Bounds as Zoe's paralegal.... Has a Auto Accident on her way to work.... Finn is the responding officer, an Auto Accident had ending his future in Soccer, however Finn is acquainted with The Brit Boys.  Thus the blend begins... It's Sexy, It's Sweet, It's Fun ....It's Hot.... From Smokin Hot Text Messages.... Handcuffs Included... Pick it up You're not putting it down.... A Literary Sex Toy... Oh Boy!  Gives totally new meaning to Sleepless in Seattle 💕
This Lady is on Fire 🔥

This is a must read, JH Croix writes stand alones even as part of a series.  Sadden to see this series come to an end.  It's like saying goodbye to friends..

I received and ARC from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.... Oh what a Pleasure it Was.

Very well written short story with great storyline and plot. Full of expanse and hotness. I like that the characters are relatable and likeable. I like the twists and the challenges the story has. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter.
Would have liked the drama was a bit deeper. I like this series really much. Hot brit boys are always welcomed here. It is fast paced. I like that some of the characters from the previous books are mentioned.

The story is with a twist and a very enjoyable read. The epilogue is very welcomed and gives the story more to it and it finishes better of than without it. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters.
There are laughs, drama, passion, emotions, hot scenes, twists and lots of chemistry in this amazing story.

Ms. Croix writes another great one full of romance, chemistry, and great characters. Ever since us fans met Jana in Zoe’s office in “Out of Bounds”, I felt she needed her own story, and she finally got it! I’m so glad she got her HEA with Finn. Speaking of Finn, yummy, yummy, yummy. A hot man in a uniform. I can relate to Jana in why she always wanted him to wear it!
Jana is a funny and quirky woman who always speaks her mind. She also has a hilarious cat named Smokey who has a mind of his own. Finn is a Seattle cop, who is called out to handle a fender bender, where he meets Jana. As their romance progresses, we readers get an update on all the other British “football” players who play on the Seattle Stars. We also get to see Becca and Aidan again from “Just This Once”, which I absolutely love. I always want to know about the characters after their stories end.

Excellent contemporary romance during the holidays. Finn is a local police officer and gets a call to a fender bender. Upon arrival the guy from the rear vehicle is blaming the accident on the woman. Jana is an outgoing nontraditional paralegal who loves colors in her hair. Jana stands up for herself and is taken back when the sexy Finn is the officer. Finn is surprised by his reaction to the teasing woman who stands up for herself. They start dating but their pasts come to haunt them and so does Finn's elegant ex. The story mentions other characters that readers have been introduced to in other books by this author which gives the story a community and character support system. This is an entertaining and enjoyable book. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by JH Croix.

This is a hard review to write. J H Croix is one of my favorite authors

I’ve read almost everything she has written, some more than once. I have loved them all, especially the Alaska series. I wanted so much to give this book 5 stars but it did not resonate with me.
Jana and Finn are the H/h. Finn was a police officer who was on duty when Jana, a paralegal who worked for Zoe (from one of Ms Croix’s earlier books) had gotten into a fender bender. There was an immediate attraction but I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two. They started seeing each other but both had trust issues from past experiences.
I felt like the story was disjointed and the sub-plots didn’t add to the story. I found it hard to stay interested.
I will say, however, that you can’t go wrong with reading JH Croix’s other books; she’s a one-click writer for me.

I received a copy of this book from the author and I gladly leave my review.
I love J.H. Croix’s books and this one is no exception. This is the 5th book of the series and I absolutely loved it. Jana was in a fender bender like us aussies say, but she was in a car accident and the officer on duty who went out to the crash is Finn Connor and he instantly was attracted to her. But Finn won’t do anything while he is on duty and knocks back Jana’s advances. Jana doesn’t give up she sends Finn funny texts and that starts to thaw his heart. Finn is a little bit gun shy when it comes to relationships but Jana finally breaks through the ice in his heart. I loved this book I can’t gush about it enough, it’s so funny especially with the texts that Jana sends Finn. I loved the characters and the storyline and I definitely recommend this book, you will miss out if you dont get it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this sexy story with great characters, romance and intrigue. She was a paralegal with trust issues due to her father never being there for her and then her ex was a married lawyer and didn't tell her and she was ostracized for it when she found out. He was an ex-soccer player turned policeman when he was injured in a car crash years before. He came to the fender bender she was involved with and they started seeing each other. They both cared for each other, but she was still afraid. However. they finally worked through their issues and finally got their HEA. I have read all the books in this series and enjoyed them all. I can't wait for her next book.

If you are going to start reading this book at bedtime and want to go to sleep, you may want to rethink that. You will not be able to put the book down until you are done. This is the 5th book in this Brit Boys romance series and a really good read. The chemistry between Finn and Jana is undeniable from the start which is when Finn comes to the scene of a fender bender that Jana has been in with a real peach of a guy. When they go their separate ways will they meet again? If so, will the chemistry be just as strong as the first time? When you have so many obstacles in your way can you overcome them to have the relationship you would love to have? This is a well written book with characters you will enjoy.
