The sexy billionaire from my past who tempts me at every turn.

********

I’m falling for her. I know it’s happening but I can’t stop it. I can’t let her know how I feel. I can’t let myself be vulnerable to a woman like that again. So I’ll keep my feelings a secret while I use my vast fortune to make sure she marries me and never walks away.

Reuniting with the Billionaire is book 2 in the Sutton Billionaire series by Lori Ryan. I purchased the short version years ago titled Penalty Clause, Sutton Capital series. Was great then and greater now in the extended version!

Andrew Weston has been drawn to Jill Walsh for sometime but after what her ex husband did to her he knows she only wants a “no strings” rebound fling. He wants it all!! So he set out to find a way to get Jill to marry him and has her sign a “penalty clause” agreement...if he walks away he loses everything...

Can he show her that they are meant to be together forever and he won’t be walking away...ever??

Reuniting with the Billionaire by Lori Ryan is book Two in the The Sutton Billionaires Series. This is the story of Jill and Andrew. I have read the previous book but felt you could make this a standalone book. Andrew was around 15 years old when Jill was around 18 years old. Andrew had a crush on Jill but they were friends and neighbors of their families. Now 17 years later Jill has returned a divorced women trying to start again. Andrew too has gone through a breakup with someone that he had planned to marry. Both, were starting fresh but finding that some old feelings are new again. There is some suspense going on too with this story. I totally enjoyed this book.

The second book in the series brings Andrew and Jill's story. The author does a fantastic job developing both her characters and story line. She takes you on an emotional journey with the two having trust issues due to past relationships which ended in divorce. She weaves a suspenseful romance with tons of steam and delivers a sexy, fun story I enjoyed reading. I would recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

My superpower is reading super fast, as I can average 3 books a day at least, so when I say that I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough with Reuniting with the Billionaire, then you need to know it's just that good! I'm newer to Lori Ryan's world, and I find that I'm ALL IN nowadays, as I simply can't get enough! This is the story of Jill, who is an emotional mess after something big rocks her world, and trust me, it's totally understandable. Andrew Weston is her past as she harbored a crush on him at 15 but by 18 years old, she accepted it wouldn't be reciprocated. So while she didn't necessarily put him out of her head, she won't even entertain anything other than fun & hooking up with him, because she's determined that what's left of her heart won't get a chance to be broken completely. Andrew is dealing with catching feelings for her so much better, and yet, there's still a LOT of bumps in the road. Can these two get it together to have a chance at an amazing future?! You'll have to one click to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This is a redo of a previous book Penalty Clause. I haven't read the original but I love this verison.

Andrew and Jill knew each other as teachers. Andrew would look out his window and drool over her. She liked his little crush but nothing ever came of it. Now years later, she's back, divorced and ready for a rebound relationship. The rebound evolves into so much more, along with a psycho out to harm her.

A great addition to the Sutton Capital family

Jill, a photographic artist, runs into Andrew, Sutton Capital’s CFO and boy next door, when she moves into her grandparent’s house after he divorce is all finalized. As the story progresses they both fight the attraction, an arrangement is made, and they may be in more danger than either of them know. Lori Ryan’s Reuniting with the Billionaire is a great addition to the Sutton Capital family. I read this story when in it’s shorter version Penalty Clause, and I am not disappointed in this newly extended version. Some author’s take it too far and drastically change events, making the reader disenchanted with the newer version of their stories, that is definitely not the case with Ms. Ryan. She has made these newer versions of her Sutton books so the transition is seamless.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

This is the first book that I've read in this series and the first book I've read by this author and I didn't know what to expect.
This book is the second in the series.

Jill and Andrew had known each other from years ago after Jill had been hurt tremendously and didn't really believe in love anymore.
Jill was married to Jake that was until one day completely out of the blue said he wanted a divorce. Jill was completely stunned and she hadn't seen this coming at all. He was a selfish man who only cared about his own feelings.
Andrew is back at his grandparents house and sees Jill after all this time. Andrew is a very rich billionaire who is also extremely caring and very protective of her.
Jill and Andrew had known each other from years ago when they meet up again.
When Andrew makes her an offer that she can't refuse. ( NO SPOILERS ).

I liked these characters especially Andrew he was truly a gentleman that helped Jill regain her confidence. Sometimes I just wished she'd take a chance on love again and just tell Andrew how they both felt. They had amazing chemistry between them and I loved how he made her feel safe. This book is a real second chance love story
Jill vowed to never feel like that again, so has now developed a fear of love, real love. This book is full of twists and shockers that you won't see coming. This book will keep you guessing all the way through.

I loved the epilogue and always love to see where everyone is now.

Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

This book is expected to be released 4th February 2020.

Andrew Weston doesn't hesitate to run to his grandmother's side when she's hospitalized with a broken him. Both Nora, his grandmother and her housekeeper and friend Lydia are getting up in age and now Andrew feels guilty. He feels he should have insisted on more help for her. With that in mind, he moves into the guest house on the property to oversee some changes and her rehab.

Jill Walsh has just gone through a divorce, her now ex cheated on her and wanted out of the marriage. Yet he is still calling, coming over and in general being a nuisance. Jill is moving into her grandparents home until she figures out where her life is heading now.

Once Andrew's grandmother is home, that little tidbit of information that Jillie as he once called her, is now their neighbor sparks an interest. Andrew had a crush on her when he was younger, but she was a bit older than him and barely gave him a second glance.

He really does need to welcome her back to the neighborhood if for nothing other than to satisfy his curiosity about her.

This is a fun read that takes us through a courtship that wasn't supposed to happen.

There's also an interesting twist or two that develops from Andrew's office and of course there's Jillie's ex.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series, apparently this is one I started then somehow skipped to the middle. I'm glad I'm reading the new extended versions of these books.

ONE BLASTING ADVENTURE!!!
Shock-n-awe! Lori unleashes one uniquely explosive spin, riding on gale force winds, swirling and swaying, mixing it up and nailing it down, kicking this gem into the eye of the storm, blowing it into a tailspin with astounding results. A churning multitude of unforseen events and vexing circumstances, rock this baby to it's core, skirting drama, intrigue, tension, distress and soaring suspense, melds this bad boy together piece by jagged piece seamlessly. Add heat, turmoil, undercurrents, stunning situations along with a boatload of danger, you have one mind-blowing, prize winning, block buster. Exhibiting incredible, well rounded scenario's that punch dead center, ramping up the exuberance and gusto with such intensity and precision, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The undeniable attraction and intense chemistry sizzles, alluring and mesmerizing binding them to one another perfectly. The characters are authentic and original with qualities and traits that transforms into amazing personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions, as to give you a full understanding and realism that flows smoothly. Remarkable job Lori, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Another great story in this series. I loved meeting Jill and getting to know more about Andrew. I also liked getting to see more of our friends we’ve gotten to know at Sutton Capital from the first book and I was also excited to see how Kelly and Jack are doing. I enjoyed Jill and Andrew each getting a second chance at happiness with each other, even though there were people in the background that were scheming against them. When Theresa came onto the scene, I knew she was trouble and I’m glad she got taken care of before she could cause any more trouble than she already did. I’m definitely interested to see what is up with Jennie and Chad and especially Kelly’s sister. Really enjoyed this book!

Take one billionaire coming off a nasty breakup from a money-grubbing ex-fiancée, returning home to stay with his grandmother after an accident. Add one divorcee who wants nothing more than peace and NOT the continued attention from her ex, so she decides to come back to her grandparents’ home. Now the billionaire and the divorcee are neighbors…again.

Growing up, Andrew and Jill they had crushes on each other, well Andrew for sure since Jill was the ‘older woman’. As adults, they’re not sure where their relationship can or will go. Casual hook-ups? More lasting feelings? Trust issues are front and center for both.

Reuniting with the Billionaire was a great read. Suspense, romance, and just an all-around good book. I’m loving this series!

This book was formerly known as Penalty Clause, Book 2 of the Sutton Capital series.

I guess it could be called a friend's to lovers book. Andrew and Jill had a past, as their families were acquainted, their grandparents lived next to each other, and they had known each other since they were teenagers.

Andrew and Jill both had bad past relationships that made them hesitant to fall in love. I don't think either of them anticipated one seriously crazy stalker, and one slightly obsessive ex being involved in their lives.

A fast paced, steamy romance, that at times, leaves you on the edge of your seat. Can Chad and Jennie figure out what is going on? Can Andrew and Jill out a stop to get ex? Will Andrew beat the clock and be able to find Jill in time? Take heart, Andrew and Jill get their HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book received from the author.

Reuniting with the Billionaire has a really strong plot with a great balance of romance as well as a story line that will keep you on the edge of your seat. There is sweet romance, with hot and steamy between the H&H and a really, really bad guy trying to destroy the happiness our couple is trying to find together. Ms. Ryan is very talented with this type of story, where you get romance and a bit of mystery, neither plot over taking the other. I love Jill and Andrew’s characters, they are a fun couple with a lot of laugh out loud lines and of course steamy, sexy times. Another plus of this story we get to see what Kelly and Jack from the first book in this series are up to. I love getting to catch up on previous characters to find out how their lives are turning out. The author has woven all these characters in the story quite nicely. Jill and Andrew’s story is a great addition to this series.

Photographer Jill Walsh is trying to recover from the unexpected ending to her seven-year marriage. Her husband asked for a divorce leaving her questioning whether love can last. She moves in to her grandparents’ house and reconnects with Andrew Weston a neighbor from the past. Andrew is staying at his grandmother’s house while she recovers from surgery and has been attracted to Jill since he was a teen. Andrew, CFO for Sutton Capital, was burnt once by his fiancée and parents and doesn’t believe love is for him. Can he and Jill have a relationship without love and with no strings attached? An emotional romance that escalates when danger attacks the employees of Sutton Capital. Can Andrew and his team keep Jill safe? Wonderful second book in this amazing series with updates from past characters. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)

I love a romance book with a little twist in it and this friends to lovers story has that - it was one of those books that you kept having a conversation with yourself - 'Nooo did that really happen?' - 'oh she shouldn't have done that', 'I can't look (meaning quick turn over the page)'

15 year old Andrew had a crush on the girl next door the much older 18 year old Jill who came to visit in the summer. But that was a teenage crush and fantasy but those tend to have a lasting impression.

Fast forward about 17 years and Jill has just got divorced from who she thought was the love of her love - turned out he wasn't but thankfully there was no children, Andrew had his heartbroken by his ex fiancé that also left him astranged from his family isn't open to love having a good time yes but nothing else. When his Aunt falls and he needs to take care of her in finds himself back next door Jill who has just moved in. As Jill and Andrew spend more time together there is no denying the chemistry both agreed that they couldn't be together have some yes but a relationship no!

But as they get to know each and start to break down the barriers they each have put up an evil force is lurking in plan site - who isn't happy with Jill and Andrew being together who wants Andrew for herself and will stop at nothing to get rid of any opposition that gets in her way!

When Jill married she believed that she had found her Prince Charming until he revealed himself to be a frog. She has returned to her Grandparent’s home, a place that held happy memories for her in her past, to regroup and plan for her future when she reunites with her childhood friend Andrew.

When Andrew finds himself living next door to Jill once again he realizes that the feelings he had for her are stronger than ever. As they have both been hurt by love in the past will they be willing to open up their hearts to the possibility of love once again?

Suspense, twists, heat and not only are Jill and Andrew characters that draw you in but the secondary characters are entertaining as well.

This book captured my attention from the very first page. With a hunky, gooey-hearted billionaire, a scratched and dented heroine putting her life back together after her marriage ends, and drama and suspense the way only this writer can create, I was glued to every page, every word, as my emotions were taken on an exhilarating ride.

When Jill Walsh returns to her grandparents' home, Andrew Weston sees a second chance with the girl he had a crush on all those years ago. She's skittish from a trying divorce (and an ex you’ll love to hate), so Andrew knows he has to take things slowly and works on forging a friendship with Jill. Just as Jill is relaxing enough to take things further with Andrew, outside forces threaten to destroy their fledgling relationship.

This one has so many wonderful elements to keep any reader fully engaged and devouring the pages. Authentic, relatable characters, a gut-clenching storyline, plenty of drama and danger, and an interfering grandmother you can’t help but love all converge to make this an exciting, hypnotic, phenomenal read.

This is the second in the series, in this book we get Andrew and Jill. This book captured my attention from the fist page, I enjoy a friends to lovers romance. The book has a little of everything I really loved the intrigue and suspense Ms, Ryan added to the love story. I also really enjoyed the kind of second chance romance since Andrew had a crush on Jill since they were teenagers and their grandparents lived next door to each other. You will also enjoy the great group of friends they have, looking forward to Chad and Jennie’s story.

What a fantastic book, I devoured this in a day. This was such a fun read, I was hooked from the first page. Loved the connection Jill and Andrew still had. He had a crush on her when he was 15 and she was 18. Can Andrew be her rebound guy? He’s not ready for a relationship, and I did cry when he opened up about what happened with his ex fiancée and parents. Loved how he comes up with a prenuptial agreement with a “penalty clause”. I also stayed on edge, there’s a stalker involved too. Thankfully there’s a very happy ever after. I loved both book in this series. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

This book centers around Andrew and his teenage crush, Jill. The two are reunited when Andrew's grandmother has a fall and needs help just as Jill moves into her grandparents home following a divorce. They have one huge thing in common: they refuse to fall in love. As a couple there were a lot of emotional hurdles to jump, as well as a scare with one of Andrew's employees. This updated version gives us more glimpses into their story as well as some background for characters we'll meet in future books. I'm looking forward to more.

Good but...

The story, plot and characters are good but there are a lot of inconsistencies. In the first book, Jack has to marry by his 35th birthday and does a few days before. Andrew and Jack are the age. In this book they are 33. It's things like that that brought the rating down.

This is a good romance, with a likable couple, but I thought Andrew's decision about the pre-nup was just crazy. I get that he thought it was the only way to get Jill to marry him, but he should have thought about how it would make her feel -- and his plan ended up backfiring on him.

I liked both Andrew and Jill, and liked that they were both attracted to each other as teens. It made their relationship as adults more believable, since they both had often wondered if they let the person that was right for them get away.

I enjoyed the story, and liked that the romance was a little more believable than in the first book. It was a quick, entertaining read. It gets 3.75 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars.

For those who care, this book does contain quite a bit of sex, so it might bother anyone who prefers clean romances.

By the way, I may not show as a verified purchaser of this book on Amazon -- because it was a free book downloaded from the author's website.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

When fifteen year old Andrew went to his grandmother Nora’s home he fell in love with his gorgeous eighteen year old next door neighbour Jill. With the age difference between them even though Jill was flattered with his attention nothing was ever going to happen. Years later Jill ends up at the house as a refuge from an unsettling divorce. She is now a wild life photographer and her dog Rev is all she needs to get over her cheating ex. She could do with a rebound guy…

Andrew is now a successful man in business, but shies away from any romantic relationship after a conniving money digger sold off his unborn baby’s abortion to his equally mercenary parents. He no longer believes it is possible for him to have a family of his own, but is happy to be blessed with amazing friends. Imagine his surprise when Kelly, his best friend’s new wife, decides to hook him up with a friend of hers, who turns out to be Jill.

Both of them fight their attraction to each other, but finally succumb to it, labeling it a no strings attached fling. Unfortunately both their hearts don’t seem to understand and they fall in love. Each is reluctant to tell the other and things get dangerous when an assistant from work decides that Andrew needs rescuing from Jill. Will the mentally deranged woman manage to kill Jill before Andrew can rescue her? Find out when you read the book.

3.25 STARS

I purchased this as part of the author's 4 book bundle called SUTTON CAPITAL SERIES BOXED SET: BOOKS 1-3 (but there are 4 books in bundle, not 3. In this set this book is called PENALTY CLAUSE. But, as a stand alone it is called REUNITING WITH THE BILLIONAIRE. Why have different names for the same book?

I didn't feel a connection to this couple as I did in book 1 The Billionaire Deal. The H/h knew each other as teenager's, but with the H being 3 years younger they never dated. There is a lot of steam in this book when they meet up as adults. Heat level 4.5 out of 5 outside of marriage.

In this story the villain is a crazy women - no spoiler since we are told that. How did a high end company come to hire a women with mental issues? Didn't they do a background check?

This really didn't have much action until the end. The h's ex husband tries to get her back. We are not told what the h's reaction was when his mistress comes to town.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, little on romance for me and steam. (ljb)

This is the second book in the Sutton Billionaires series.

Andrew and Jill are childhood neighbors that are reunited due to Jill’s recent divorce and Andrew’s grandmother’s recovery. Andrew had a serious crush on the slightly older Jill, and that crush has manifested into some serious lust.

Jill is still reeling from her divorce and feeling insecure with herself. She always thought Andrew was cute, but the older, more manly Andrew has her libido doing some serious tangos. She’s just not sure she could survive another relationship.

Their no strings affair quickly turns serious, with both of them holding back their feelings from each other in fear that the other doesn’t feel the same way. Throw in a weird ass ex and a crazy workplace stalker and you have the ingredients for a pretty solid story.

Jill dragging her feet about her feelings was a little monotonous, but other than that, I enjoyed this story.

Andrew has been in love with Jill since he was 15 years old and she was 18. He would watch her out the window and pine away for her. As an adult he would look for her in the crowd wondering if she would still hold a candle to his memories of her. Now she is back and living next to his grandmother and he feels his playboy ways slipping away as he sinks deeper in to her spell.

Jill is fresh out of a disillusioned marriage and is finally becoming her own person. She is finally free to feel…well everything, including a bit of a crush on the man the boy she once knew has become.

Some things are just meant to be and when they both finally let themselves free of their fears and accept fate a devil walks in to their lives and threatens to take it all away.

This story has everything you need, a few good laughs, lust, love and terror so you are in for a fun read!

Andrew and Jill have known each other since they were kids visiting their grandparents who lived next door to each other. When Jills marriage ends and needs to start over she goes to stay in their home alone. With a twist of fate or actually a broken hip for Andrew’s grandmother, Andrew finds himself staying in carriage house to help her out at the same time that Jill is next door.
Andrew has had a crush on Jill since he was fifteen and she was 18. They fight their attraction at first but these guys had sparks flying from the moment they reconnected.
They will have to face their fears of love after both of them were hurt in their past by others. They will have to fight an obsessive stalker, an ex husband and themselves to get to their HFN.
