Sometimes the hardest thing to do is be real with yourself... Erin is fresh out of love. A soul-crushing break up leaves her heart on ice, spirit at an all- time low. Unwilling to be open, Erin finds herself in a conflict of interest when she crosses paths with Santonio “Tone” Morris. Sasha just wants her happily ever after. But unfortunately, life’s unexpected trials may cause her to settle for an alternative ending. Stuck in the middle of a mess she created, Sasha must quickly decide if the triumph is worth the tears. Skyy has always been one open to take on new ventures. Being considered the “wild child”, she lives her life unapologetically on her terms. However, stepping out her element may cause Skyy more heartache than healing. Deep in love, Jeanette’s main focus is her child’s father, Kory. Prone to domestic abuse, she decides to distance herself from the girls in hopes of bettering her circumstances. The only underlying problem is Kory’s mission to drag her into a dark depression. Each woman is battling her own demons. And the sisterhood that was once an unbreakable bond, is diminishing vastly before their very eyes. Erin, Sasha, Skyy, and Jeanette learn the hard way that love is the hardest thing to earn and keep, yet the most painful thing to lose. * PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED AS A HEART FULL OF LIES
Baby this series wasn’t even remotely on my radar but thanks to my book bestie I am in the know!! I don’t know who this author is or where she came from but this series was a messy good time! There is so much going on with this group of friends that I don’t have enough time in the day to get you up to speed! Just know you will not be disappointed with this series….at least book one 😅stay tuned for the rest!
I loved this book. The relationship between the 4 friends were true to life. All relationships have ups and downs but these ladies always found a way to make peace with each other. Erin & Tone were my favorite. Looking forward to part 2.
WOW! The things these four friends went through in their relationships was a lot. But just like sisters they fight and make up. The description given of the ladies was on point. Michael and Miles along with Sasha are definitely playing a dangerous game. I love Erin and Tones relationship. Skyy has gotten caught up in a big mess. She should have just been upfront with Diedre when she found out the truth. Jeanette was tired....point, blank, period! Can't wait to read part 2.
This book is real life. You have some friends that are closer than family. They fall out, but when lush vines to shove they are right there. Let’s see what book two is talking about
Nice beginning to the lives of these characters-Sasha, Erin, Jeanette and Skyy and all the antics that they have as friends and sisters. They have their highs and lows, disagreements and make-ups but will it last? Tune in to find out…
This book has good characters and typical storylines, but the writing is not exciting. I need to get all the feels when I'm reading a book and I just don't get them. It's not so bad that I won't read the other friends stories. The book is good but definitely not great.
Sky's journey of self-discovery and acceptance of her sexuality is a captivating tale that explores the societal pressures and judgments we face in both life and relationships. Her and Deidra's relationship reminds us that there will always be individuals who give too much of themselves and those who give too little, ultimately highlighting the importance of finding balance with partners who align with your values in life, love, parenting and lovers who are already sure of what they want. Deidra, on the other hand, embodies self-assurance and embraces her true self without shame I love that for her. Through their relationship, we witness the power of living one's truth and the significance of being true to oneself, as the hard truth will always triumph over a temporary lie that only brings darkness. Jeanette's character elicits mixed emotions - while I truly empathize with her for enduring domestic violence in her relationship with her Childs father Kory, it's hard to overlook the fact that she ignored the warning signs. Despite having supportive friends who genuinely care for her, Jeanette's reaction to their lack of support in her decision to stay and deal with her bum(Kory) is disappointing, showcasing her disloyalty and immaturity. Jeanette is what you call a bad damn friend. My disdain for Sasha stems from me reading the other novels she appears in so I’m not going to burn her ass down in this review. in this novel Sasha, embodied the epitome of strength and loyalty got off her ass when life started lifing and WOMANed up... She didn't let her circumstances keep from doing good. She did however make some less than admirable choices she in fact stood on business with her friends. Tone is Bae period. 🎯🎯🎯A real Gangsta, A real Boss. And Erin is a boss ass b*#%h.💅 I Love them together. read it! You won't be disappointed. "Please Be Love Book 1" is a gripping read that delves into complex relationships and characters, it'll leave you intrigued and wanting more. I've read this series at least 4 times. 😩 my reviews are late because I'm not good at them and 4 years later I got the bright idea to overhaul review all of my favorites. Happy reading!!!!
