Still In Love With My Thug

Rate this book
Zailani Devers has been with the love of her life, Jay, ever since their second year of high school. She feels that they share an unbreakable bond that no one seems to understand. Through all their ups and downs, and many heartbreaks, Zailani stayed by Jay’s side helping him build his empire, but in a blink of an eye, her world comes crumbling down. Leaving her heartbroken and alone fighting for her life. To add insult to injury, everyone in Zailani’s life feels Jay is the reason behind her downfall. JaDarius “Jay” Maxwell wanted no more than to take care of his daughter and keep the woman that he loves happy. Turning to the streets, he had quickly made a name for himself. In just two years, he moved from a corner boy to the boss’ right hand and was making more money than he could’ve ever imagined. Once the head was sent to prison, it was Jay’s time to step up to the plate and take over. With the help of Zailani, he was able to expand the empire and build a team of his own. As always, jealousy rears its ugly head, and Jay is given some news that makes him lose all trust for those close to him, and turns him into a person that not even he himself recognizes. Kenya’s only wish is for her and Jay to be together. She thought that having his only daughter would somehow secure a relationship with him. Since none of her efforts worked, she came up with a plan that she thought was impossible to fail. Turning to the one person on Jay’s team that shared her same obsession, she finds that the devil doesn’t always show his horns, and finds herself in a situation that she may not be able to get out of. On the night of her twenty first birthday, Raw’s sister is gunned down at a nightclub, leaving him seeking answers. With so many options, he has no clue as to who would do this. As he and Jay try to put the pieces together, he finds himself caught in a tough position. Stay loyal or unwillingly put himself in a war that wasn’t his go fight. Secrets, lies, and betrayal, all play a major role in this couple’s demise. When all is revealed, will they be able to make amends, and rebuild their relationship, or has the lies already caused too much damage for their love to survive?

This just didn't do it for me

I tried and only made it to 50 percent. Zai was being stupid to me. She was doing too much. I understand he was innocent on setting her up but he was still wrong for just leaving her and treating her how he was. I just couldn't get into it. I read the ending but still not for me.

Fantastic

I loved it! I loved how her love and loyalty to him ever wavered. Even after everything that happened and how he treated her. Any normal person would’ve said forget him. And moved on to the next one. Asiayah got on my nerves she hated the entire book! Like girlllll we get it! Move on already. Fantastic job

So excited for this read!!

I was so excited to read this book and it did not leave me disappointed! I felt so bad for Kenya! Lowkey I was hoping that she would just stop trying with Jay because he was doing TOO MUCH! Jay was really bugging majority of the book. I really thought he was secretly messing with one of her friends!! I’m glad he wasn’t. So happy with the ending!

Good Read

At first, I was really thinking that Zai was being stupid for Jay. Cause she was doing way too much. But she was in love and her love never changed. Jay, was getting on my nerves and had me side eyeing him. But they weathered the storm and love prevailed. Glad they got their happy ending.

See now this here story was crazy. Zai is definitely a real one. The love she has for Jay is definitely some special kind of love. She had so much faith in him. She’s better than me. Glad everything worked itself out in the end but man smh

Great Read

That was a good read. I'm glad Zailani never let anyone tell anything different than what she believed. I wish the epilogue would have been more updated on what happened.
