*Please note, this story is a rerelease from Ivy Chapman, now under D.E. Chapman. This story contains both Book 1 and 2. The sequel will be released with all new content in 2020.*
To most, it's a curse. To her, it's salvation. In this dark omegaverse, Raina is not as she seems. For most, Halloween is a night to unwind, dress up, and scare a child or two. For Raina, Halloween is so much more. She has a twisted secret, one that comes with a terrible price. This innocent blonde is just waiting to set deadly tricks and reap a debauched treat. She calls herself a skin changer-one who revels in stealing the skin of those who've died, only to wear it on Halloween night. Raina knows she's deranged and unhinged, but the curse always has its way. With this addiction, comes a terrible price, one she is forced to pay. So, are you ready to play?
**Warning, this dark omegaverse book is not for the faint of heart. Graphic scenes might be disturbing to some. Be advised, this story is a #whychoose, meaning the main character will end up with more than one mate by the end of the series. This book ends in a cliffhanger. This book has been updated to include the content from book two for an extended novel. Book Two will be rereleased in Oct 2020 with all new chapters.
Ivy Chapman has always been irresistibly drawn to the damned. Recently, she discovered a not so secret passion for the dark and depraved reads. Ivy has entirely too much fun delving deep into the twisted and corrupt. Though she does occasionally surface long enough to publish her next unhappily ever after.
1-2? Pretty sure I only read 1. I'm still processing. The killer mentality at 7 was creepy. If it was an isekai it would make sense, but yeah that was creepy. Dark themes everywhere. Domestic abuse, murder, rape. It went from wtf to oh she's cursed and then oh suddenly omega. There was a whole lot of wtf but I wanted to know how her story ended. The monologue alpha king of hell was a twist I didn't see coming. Along with the addition of his second in command. I did groan a bit when she ran out into danger and then got herself kidnapped. I thought it would go badly. It did, for them. It was a weird one.

This is not books one and two, but a re-release of book one only. It could use a little more editing. Dark. It starts when FMC is young and it feels like it is going in a completely different direction until about mid book. I like a good twist, but this didn't feel like a twist. Just a change in story direction.
Raina begins this story as a young child on Halloween night. She is excited to get out and get her candy, but something very strange and odd happens. This story unravels indescribably morbid at times, and odd at others. A very unique book!

This is a wonderful horror/thriller!!! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book did not need to be omegaverse. It’s more horror romance. It’s good though. For the first half of the book I was like... what the h*** am I reading.. for the 2nd half I was enjoying the heat. Still not the bone deep love/obsession you usually get from omegaverse, but the violence is definitely there.
This isn’t quite my normal read. The writing is good but I’m not a fan of the direction that the plot line took. I don’t think I’ll read the rest of the series. * * * * * Possible spoilers ahead. * * * * * * * * * * * * The FMC is strong turned weak. The males are dubcon/noncon with the FMC. We don’t meet the men until almost the end.
What happens when the predator finds out she’s never been anything more than prey? She amends her mindset to become the queen. This book was vicious in all the best ways. I love when everyone accepts their demons and revel in the darkness. Can’t wait for the next book
